"We have to go. We have to find her. We're responsible," Jon said. He held his hands up to his chest and started twisting them together, talking faster and faster. "This is what we're supposed to do. This is where it starts, Martin. We have to find a door." He jumped off the bench, startling Khee into an affronted meow as the cat leaped off his disappearing lap. "Come on, Martin!"
Martin stood his ground while Jon pulled at his hand. "This is where what starts?" he asked.
"Everything!" Jon shouted, as though Martin ought to understand.

nostalgia slapped me upside the head a little while ago so i had to draw my favorite dudes ft. the gecko effect
#wild kratts#chris kratt#martin kratt#okay the tokay :)#all my rat#i was gonna do more but i got distracted with another project (fish) so this one's going up by itself.. i wanna draw some cps soon tho#i was obsessed with wk as a kid#i reeeaaallllyyy wanted a creature power suit i even wished for one for christmas one year#this shit was the original formative media for me#it was the source of all of my concentrated righteous indignation about animals that i kinda never grew out of#anyways wild kratts is like really good#realistic (not sensationalized!!!!) depictions of animals‚ fun characters and plots‚ great animation‚ banging music‚ like it's STACKED#ive been rewatching it recently because why not and i keep getting excited when i see animals i really like#you know there's a cannon FLOUNDER power suit???!! that's a fucking dream come true for me i love that so much#daphnia keep making cameos in a lot of the ocean episodes and every time i point at the screen and go DAPHNIA like a 5 year old#i'm just happy my favorite microorganism is getting some screentime

Hey there! I read both Reprogrammed and Decoded and was blown away. Unfortunately (sorta), my odd little brain had one little question that was burning from the end of Reprogrammed till the end of the story: what about the Wild Kratts Kids? How did they react to Chris's disappearance/return? I know if I were 8 and my teacher (i guess thats an okay metaphor? maybe?) randomly disappeared for 3 months and came back 10 pounds lighter with dozens of new scars and white hair in their early twenties, I'd be a little torn up/curious. How would Chris feel about showing up on screen in front of a bunch of kids in his state? Would he...wear a...hat...or something...? I don't know, just thoughts lol
They never told the public that Chris was missing (Didn't wanna scare the kids or give the Villains the knowledge that they were vulnerable)
And being out in the most rural parts of the world, it's not uncommon for them to go months without any sort of public appearance. For now, Martin is handling any sort of press alone until Chris is ready to be back in the public eye.
But of course they still run into a wild kratts kid every once and a while.
He's still working on his alibi.....
