I have no way to prove this in canon other than this being true for his VA, but as far as my AUs are concerned I think Benrey would be a “friend to all children”

Despite being obviously Not Human to the scientists and his fellow security guards, none of them can deny that children adore him and he adores them back. If Black Mesa had ever allowed a “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” you’d better bet money that all the kiddos would follow behind Benrey like ducklings. The man isn’t doing anything other than stand guard and play on his PSP, but it’s clear the kids think he’s badass.

Benrey has never seen a baby before, he’s heard about them but he’s never seen one. He really wants to meet a baby, say hi, shake hands, teach them how to play PlayStation. You wouldn’t expect him to be gentle around anything, given how he acts around Black Mesa staff members that he doesn’t like (aka a LOT of them), but he would be so incredibly kind and gentle with babies.
