Honestly, there isn't much to say other than I really wanted more details from his life! We know he was a hero but I wanna know how he got the power from hermit Shinomori, or how he met En (who's his own glaring question mark).

But I can tell yall are catching onto my enjoyment of loud, goofy himbos because Banjo is so fun! He feels a lot more emotionally open and sweet compared to the other vestiges and the way he supports Izuku like a fun but caring ghost uncle is adorable. I feel like blackwhip being tied to your emotional state says a lot about how he values being honest with your own feelings. I believe in you Banjo, protect our boy in this last fight! 🙏

I am intrigued by how witches work in this series. I want to know more about this world, where they call themselves dark force users but consider growth to be a powerful magic. Trapping a demon in a plant is considered notable, but not powerful, and they’re staying outside of wars. I'm so intrigued.

Rowena seems like another Known Character. Is she known?

This circus is obsessed with jugglers. I've counted three so far.

That is SUCH A GOOD concept, such a good discussion on depression and dealing with it, and how ‘cheer up, kid’ is NOT the solution, and goddamn it show, you have such good moments.

I like Rowena. I want more Rowena and Ada and this whole situation.

Show, you better bloody well make Mary go into why it was good.

Okay, this make up scene is good, but I do not approve of these two and you will never convince me this is a good relationship.

Yeah, okay, Mary runs away from her problems too, and this episode would have been fine for her to address that if it hadn’t been such a better theme to make it about John dealing with his emotions instead and I am so annoyed that they turned it on its heel after THAT argument specifically.

This show has a habit of introducing concepts, characters, and worlds that I am so invested in, and so curious about, and want to see more of, and then shoving them off to the side as unimportant. It’s honestly like this whole series is a pilot episode promising ideas and plans and concepts that it will go into if the show gets greenlit.

She is a badass mechanic who is also a cyborg and did not intend to get dragged into this mess. She becomes a fugitive of the law, running from the prince who is also her romantic interest and is just objectively the best.

I love a sarcastic character and I love a good confrontation scene and she's great with both

She's a mechanic she's the lunar princess she has two prosthetic limbs she's supposed to be dead. Her best friend is an android who's a fangirl of her boyfriend (Kai, the emperor). Her ball was actually her showing up to keep Kai from getting seduced by her aunt (who's queen of the moon) and then killed. Instead of losing her slipper she just lost her entire foot. (That's all just in the first book.)

look man, if you've read tlc you know why but if not: cinder here goes through a lot, from living in a shitty household to leading a rebellion and witnessing what's practically a massacre (TWICE), getting stabbed in the mc'freaking heart and surviving, being a wanted fugitive, Oh, and also, she loses her goddamn FOOT instead of a glass slipper lol (albeit the foot is a prosthetic, which i might've forgotten to add, her left arm and (i think) leg are metal due to getting BURNED as a toddler by her somewhat power hungry aunt)

She's SO cool she's a mechanic and really clever and also an amputee and her prosthetics are very cool and she has fun space adventures with her little gang of found family and is also the heir to the crown on the moon and is trying to get control of it from her aunt (who's a dictator) so she can help the moon people be less oppressed! tl;dr she's a girlboss

She literally got set on fire. Shes a cyborg. Shes such a girl boss that her love interest kept her severed prosthetic foot as a memento. She is a revolutionary [against her will] and a politician [also against her will]. Shes a skilled mechanic, and called the queen of a super-powerful alien race with the ability to manipulate people’s perceptions of reality ugly TO HER FACE. Queen does not give a shit and just wants to hang out with her robot bestie and her dork ass boyfriend who is also the leader of an entire country. Shes iconic, she is the moment.

Cyborg and mechanic is a fun new twist on classic Cinderella! (At least when I read it and it was new). Plus she’s got her Prince/Emperor all wrapped around her fingers before the ball!

cinder is a mixed cyborg mechanic who has acquired beef with both her stepmother (adopted) and her bio aunt (tyrant queen levanna) and manages to escape their attempts to keep her down (including arson when she was like. 3 years old) and ultimately overthrows her aunt in a revolution lead by her and the other fairytale retellings (red riding hood and wolf, rapunzel and her ‘prince’, and her cousin snow white and her prince) and establishes a democracy! i enjoyed the series growing up and i personally think that cinder is very cool :]

The first book in The Lunar Chronicles is a retelling of cinderella, and my gosh it’s amazing. Cinder is a cyborg and faces a lot of prejudice, and it’s interesting to see that even in the future, where the book is set, there’s still so much discrimination, and Cinder faces it so well. She’s smart and snarky, and has such character growth and cares so much and akhjfqwthbj

It's very common for Cinderella retelling that "girlboss" her end up sending the weird message that victims of abuse should simply stand up for themselves <3 I really like Cinder because she's spunky and snaps at her stepmother, but it doesn't. do her any good? It just makes her stepmother worse. Also one of her stepsisters is nice, I love Peony.

Flynn apparently talked about Amy in Frontiers in his last Bumblekast. And, as expected, his answer rubs me the wrong way.

One, the way he mocks the fact that Sonic and Amy's relationship "won't have a definitive answer", as if they *need* to kiss in the sunset for their relationship to be interesting. Two, the mere idea of him waltzing in with the intention of "fixing" the "bad" writing by having Amy "move on". Three, I'm sorry but the way he disparages Amy's crush and talks about it like it limits her stinks of the same sexism that lead him to say in 2018 that Rouge "has odd sex appeal for a cartoon bat" and makes him write all female characters like kickbutt girlbosses. He clearly favors masculine girls, but in that "feminine is inferior" way, and he hasn't changed in this regard. Sure, Amy should not be just be "Sonic's fangirl", but this is rebounding in the opposite direction. Also my pal, don't sound so proud of yourself of the idea of Amy sharing her love with others: she already did! It was already part of her character!

Ian Flynn? Being a sexist douchebag who sees any type of female that he is not personally sexually attracted to as invalid and inferior?

He definitely reminds me of the writers of DmC Devil May Cry, or the writers working on modern Star Wars. Writers who see the source material as being broken because it's not what they personally want it to be, it's bad because it doesn't appeal to them. So they're going to "fix it" by changing everything about it to suit their personal standard of approval. Is it any wonder that people who hate the Sonic series flock to this fucking guy like a cult and herald him as the franchise savior?

Tim Drake being Tiny in Group Shot Panels of the Batfamily is a Must. That’s one of his key things that makes him so charming and unique in his own way as a Robin

His small sized compared to the rest of the Bats and their allies helps make his feats and moments of Kickbutt in fighting criminals and bad guys all the more impressive.

Bonus Points if he’s also the short guy among his YJ Core Four buddies

Flynn is pretty much a textbook writer that thinks that the only thing that a girly girl character could ever have 'character development', is to think that anything related to being feminine is 'evil' or 'a downgrade' and to become a...'Not Like Other Girls'.

So it's no surprise why Lanolin's sudden change of personality doesn't surprise me. One. Bit.

It's so blatant how the meek, scared Lanolin used to be drawn wearing dresses and all, then as soon as she got the "badass" upgrade she suddenly became more masculine in appearance and personality. I'm surprised ABT keeps drawing her with a big chest, they would have so gone through the Ms. Keane route and deflated her.

I keep telling you, it's a pattern. The way he pitched Tangle was literally "she'll not be like other girls, except the kickbutt Blaze". Don't forget that his idea of improving Amy after Forces was to turn her into the kind of no-nonsense commander Sally was. And I sadly lost the post, but I remember seeing that in Archie he treated the girls in the same way, Amy as someone Sonic couldn't trust, Rouge as a sneaky villain, and Cream as an incompetent child who'd get scalded with hot coffee. People who read Archie can confirm.

And again, I'm not insulting Flynn and calling him a terrible misogynist. But when you put everything together, you start to get a glimpse into his biases...

When SEGA kept correcting him on how to write Shadow, he huffed and mocked the very traits Shadow is famous for and refused to include him in IDW from then on, relegating the job to Stanley. Now his idea of "fixing" Amy is to surgically remove a core trait of her character because he doesn't like it. that's not being a good writer, my man. that is taking the lazy route.)
