Cozy Celebrations Part 1

I uh, didn’t actually finish my report on the Reaper’s Rewards thing did I? Did manage to complete the event in time but man was I exhausted by the end of it. But it seems the Sims team isn’t letting up and giving us another holiday to nab free stuff in.

Right! I don’t know about this holiday tradition one yet so hmm. Why don’t I pick based on a world where I would think would be fitting for the Winter holidays? Because Willow Creek ain’t it, grumble. ...well this won’t be random anymore but I really enjoy Copperdale’s world from High School Years. Now whomst, oh whomst would be the protagonist of an explore-holidays questline? Well, I got two options.

First we have Kevin Puri, from the Price household! A socially awkward romantic transfer student to Copperdale! (Never mind that all played teen sims everywhere will go to Copperdale but shhhhhhhh.) My other thought is that of Noah Kane, of the Harjo household. A party animal and a goofball, perfect for holiday spirit! But I love the new kid vibe that Kevin has and he’d lend well to learning new traditions.

Assigning beds to this family and we have our first goals. Ask other Sims about their holiday traditions and to cook Japache. Time to talk to family members about this!

...huh. Interesting. Don’t remember that being a holiday tradition but we must live in a household of GAMERS. Next we got cloudgazing or stargazing and cooking Japachae. ...I’ll save the Japachae for supper but I guess the teens can stargaze now at 5AM.

Right! I guess we’re delaying until supper time! What else does this family wish to do?

Jayden Price! You’re next on the list for this family! Your goal is to...make a friend. What do ya know, ties in well with your aspiration. We’ll head to the park at 8AM! Janae’s aspiration is to read a book so sure! Book reading we can do. Savannah is a gamer...and tech person so let’s have her get in a focused mood to practice programming.

Right! It is time for unaccompanied minors! Mostly because none of the other Sims in this household have whims that blend well with Jayden’s want to make friends, or go to the park. We’ll head to the park, and we’ll bring a friend with us. Banana Bailey-Moon, second child of the Bailey-Moons, is someone Jayden knows evidently! Let’s get to know him at the very least. ...he’s mean. Glorious. Let’s play in the snow until folks arrive. Folks have an arrived and an adult is talking to us! Might as well say hi. Adult leaves so next onto Nadine Bower. Teen! And Hiroko Takeuchi, child! Get to know both! She moved to the swing set so let’s join her! Oh, and some townie child sims, the ones in homes, are here as well! Say hi to them as well! Miki Akiyama would be good to know. Right, Yua Ueda, the swing child, is a Child of the Island and Miki is a goofball. Well, I know who I’d want to make my best friend. Sorry Banana! You’re mean! Oh! But we can have a snowball fight with all four kids! ...aww, there goes Miki. Alas. And with a bit more socializing afterwards, we actually make our friend in Yua! Nice nice. Right! We’re hungry so lets head home! Need to swing the spotlight to others anyway.

Okay. Janae needs a hobby. She wants to craft things as a perfectionist so she needs a hobby. ...let’s go with writing. And the only books she can write so far are children’s ones. Eh. Let’s just set her to practising writing for now. Right, everyone wants to vibe with tunes so let’s vibe with tunes. Annnd it’s a Saturday and I forgot about Prom. Nope! Sidney was up and available to make japache so making japache he did! It’s evidently a Korean dish used for celebrations. And thus we are evidently done with the quest for now. This one looks to be a LOT chiller in actually doing things.

Hmm. I was going to have Sidney strike out to go make teen friends, I know teens hang out at parks at night, but hmmmmmm. Does he have the energy for it? ...eh, he has enough. Let’s go out and make teen friends for your aspriation! (Because everyone in this household keeps getting music based whims) We got an introduction to Thadeus Dumas, a sad and gloomy teen, and introduced our selves to teen sim celebrity Kiara Wallace. Famed for her abstract art and graffiti! She’s still only a celebrity acquaintance but that’ll count for the introduction part of the aspiration. And thus, did exhaustion set in for Sidney. To home and to bed!

Right, Janae wants to still create something so back to the computer with her. Marcel, the father, wants to listen to tunes so we can do that, and have him read a book. Homework for Kevin which ties into his aspiration. And...Jayce wants to make a BFF. Miki Akiyama looks to be his best bet for friend out of all the people he met. But I dunno. I think she might have other friends to think of so I’m going for the kid with the Insider trait, Hiroko. Anyway, it’s 5AM and time for-!

It’s the final day with the Wallace household! Such a long awaited day is here! And it’s time to go to work with Ashlynn. Time to search some criminals! ...these are the exact same criminals as I saw last time. Hmm. Now our next promotion marker is to go on patrol. Which I could do by myself but eh. Let’s just do these suggested work tones instead. Analyze some evidence is next up and then, we travel to a crime scene. Today we’re off toooo, ah, the Elderberry household. Lots of items scorched, just like last time. Serial arsonist! Now after interviews with witnesses, we go back. Time  to cross-reference the database multiple times and gain those clues. Next is to take a police report from a civilian but we don’t have any normal folks around just yet. So analyze evidence once more. And there they are! Oooh! Going on Patrol is now offered! Nice! Let’s eat some food and then head out. Annnd immediately sims are fighting with each other. Excellent. Citations for everyone! And we get our promotion. We’re a corporal now! And we get loads of prison furniture. Hmm. To home with us! Where Ashlynn shall immediately conk out on bed. Policing very tiring work, after all.

Onto Kiara who, again, wants to paint. The world is getting nice and golden from sunset happening so let’s paint towards it, shall we? Zayne...again, wants to solve hard problems so let’s gain a logic skill. Santiago still wants to complete that work task and now has the actual time to do so! Oh, wait no, he’s sleepy. Well, let’s interview and write up about one person and then head to bed. Looks like we got across the street is Dwight LeBlanc! He’s another randomly generated household that I manage to play a few times and then never again. Alas.

Oooh, this one actually turned out real well! Also, Zayne went to bed but got startled by the monster under it...but now he’s befriended him! Good for you Zayne. Time for a munch for him and then after the article from Santiago, they’ll both head to bed. ...I should remember articles when I just want a little bit of money.

There is something I want to check though. See I want to get into a home over in the more gated community in Oasis Springs. Especially since there’s actual fishing points around there. Can we move into Granda Palace? ...nope! Still 64 thousand plus short, even if I sell off all of our furniture. And I wouldn’t do that, I’d want to nab a lot for moving purposes! Alas, we’re stuck in this small home for a bit longer. Oh and Kiara’s back to being a one-star celebrity for her paintings! Nicely done you. ...oh, I need to get rid of that picky eater trait. If I switch households while that’s still active, the trait will become stuck on her. Doing that and oh, she’s very close to finishing skilling painting! Nice! Ah, Ashlynn is awake and- is sad. We’re about to bail from this household! Annnd yes! We managed to get painting level 10 with Kiara! We’re done with this household! Let’s go and roll up another one to play! It shall be...man.
