if i counted all the times i've watched a movie, where the younger feral 'psycho' is obsessed with his older counterpart (who is also a psycho, but lowkey about it) and they have a whole "bros before the hoes" belief system, but are secretly dtf

i'd have like, four movies ATLEAST, right off the top of my head.

I'll add it to my list of fic ideas! Not sure if it'll actually get written though so in case it doesn't here are my hcs:

khalid is not actually dead, he somehow escaped (and i'm not gonna give an explanation when movie canon itself hates logic lol), but now he has saurabh's old face, and reunites with kabir and ruhi post-movie

kabir often has nightmares of khalid's mother condemning him for killing her husband, which is why he looked Like That when seeing khalid talking to his mother. he acts all tough and carefree but he genuinely feels bad for all of the families of the men he's killed

adding on to the above I think kabir had a tough home life, dead mom and military dad which would explain the zeal he has for being involved in (i don't remember exactly what he's in but) special forces, and also why he initially evaluated khalid only on what his dad did

saurabh actually did want to fuck kabir because there's no way he didn't, I don't buy the "he was just acting as khalid would" excuse that man was Horny

adding on he def had a thing for kabir, then got jealous when khalid joined the team because he could see that kabir liked him, and when iliyasi started coming up with a plan to get rid of kabir and his team saurabh came up with the idea of killing khalid and stealing his face

post canon khalid is the carefree parent for ruhi and kabir is the strict parent, but whenever khalid is the one that gets mad kabir and ruhi team up to defeat him with cuteness because they know khalid can never stay mad

not a headcanon but an au I've had is what if instead of transferring the faces, they somehow found a way for saurabh's memories to be in khalid's mind, ismart shankar style? there's a lot more angst potential there (or ot3 potential depending on how you ship it)

if i a had a nickel for every time tiger's character is a soldier who falls obsessively in love with an intensely patriotic mentor almost twice his age (bonus points if the mentor has one (1) failed relationship) in a movie that deals with human replication of some sort, directly involving him.

AND when encountered with a grenade, has him deciding to run from it with said mentor instead of just kicking it away, i would have two nickels, and that's too oddly specific to have two nickels for.

the winter-soldierification of khalid in war 2 except it’s khalid waking up bc the plastic surgeon wouldn’t let him die (after all, the hippocratic oath exists) but he wakes up in a different town with no memory of who he is or what he’s doing. and then kabir finds him on his rogue agent agenda and freaks out bc. he killed saurabh. he watched saurabh die. he avenged khalid. how is this man alive with no memory of anything other than his name??? and why is he so determined to kill kabir??? cue aditi figuring it out and maybe a new doctor character (played by katrina kaif bc i am down bad for her) helping them understand the psychological manipulation necessary for this and how he’s alive, and kabir doing anything to free him from it, holding him through the nightmares and refusing to fight him bc he can’t do it.

It has the most gorgeous men in the world, drama, action, lots of shooting, stunts, dancing, and the most beautiful (implied) romance ever

I simply had to write a fic for it <3
