Of Playful Days and Silent Nights!
Chapter 1- The Robot Teacher?
The school isn't doing so well, it's old and low on staff, as a teacher here your running yourself ragged keeping it going. The headmaster (whom you dislike) decides a old animatronic from fazbear something or other, would make the perfect replacement for the nursery teacher who quit, oh and it's your responsibility now! it's so old it's probably haunted… it's… sorry he is surprising advanced for being such an old model. He's also full of many more surprises.
This is Part 2 Of Days and Nights! my fic series! (technically part 3 if you count the one shot collection which doesn't count rn XDD)
If you haven't read Fic 1 Of Sunny Days and Moonlit Nights (my blogs names sake) please go check that out! I highly recommend reading them in order but they can also be read as stand alone fics if you so wish. Or out of order idk that might be fun XD

"I'm glad you asked. My Digital Dream Simulation system it's basically a game console that transports your mind into a universe of my design and while you're in there you have no idea it's a game. The only programme I've made so far is a fairytale medieval setting and is best played by a couple since the FATE code I intergrated brings both players together in a romantic story." I ramble on excitedly as I explain. (1/2)
“That’s...that’s really, really cool,” Red says, trying to process all of this. One detail sticks in his head. “Your alternate you is married? To, uh, to who?” He shouldn’t be jealous. It’s not you. It’s a different you. It would be like if Smiley was married. Smiley’s not him. This other Kezi isn’t you. But damn if his soul isn’t swelling with envy at the thought of someone else with his sweetheart!

A Storm of a Hunt Part 5
Previous
It's kind of suspicious to put the plate on the torture box. But then again, it’s either that or the floor. You look up at the ceiling for a few minutes, opening and closing your eyes, testing yourself to see if you're really ready to get up. You wonder for a moment If you should wait for Papyrus to get back. Maybe he wants me to sleep longer? Maybe he isn’t coming back. It is very possible that his claim to be ‘standing guard’ was a lie.
You decide to get up. You swing your legs over the side of the crate, and wince. You feel like someone just grabbed your nerves, and jerked them straight. The top of the crate is large, and fits you comfortably in a sitting position. But it does not fit you long wise. In order to sleep comfortably, you must sleep with your limbs curled in, and lean on the wall. This is not an uncomfortable sleeping position, but upon waking, you find that your joints do not approve.
You finish sitting up, and cringe at the pain in your side, and ache in your joints. You stretch, and stand up. Oops… Congrats! You gained a headache. You curse under your breath, and rest a hand on the wall to keep your balance. What time is it? There is no way of you knowing. After a moment, you inspect the plate.
You find a dubious looking bundle. it's covered in what is possibly… cheese sauce? Maybe? Next to what is either a burrito, a strange sort of casserole or perhaps poison, sit three generously sized, chocolate chip cookies. You spot a scrap of paper next to the plate with the word ‘Human’ written on it in neat handwriting. Papyrus?
The bundle doesn't look so appealing, but you decide to try it anyway. You cut into the bundle. The cheese was somewhat rubbery, and the layer under that, far to crisp. Under that, you find it a bit slimy. You take a bite. It’s somehow worse than Asgore’s snail pie, you have no idea how Chara copes with that. You swallow. Nope, you definitely can’t finish this.. Sorry Papyrus. … Why did that thought even cross my mind? Why am I sorry for that monster? Why do I care? You try to shake yourself out of your thoughts by turning to the cookies.
They look edible, good even, and are tinted orange for some strange reason. They look like chocolatechip, and smell like Christmas, and spices. Odd. You decide to try the cookies.
They’re pretty good, on par with that donut if not better, and like it, and all the other food you’ve had down here, it’s very filling. But you’re not sure if it's good just because of the previous disgusting food, or if all the weird food here is messing with your taste buds. You feel something. It’s like.. Someone’s watching you. You turn around. Papyrus is standing there almost frozen with a load of books in his arms. How!?
“Wha’s ‘at?” He asks cautiously, pointing at the plate of food.
“...Food?” Did I do something wrong? . “I… thought you left it here.” You hold up the note. Papyrus cocks a brow, and shakes his head
“Don eat anyth’n, less I’m ‘ere ta tell ya to.” Papyrus says in a dark voice.. You feel yourself jump at his tone, that was the first time he’d raised his voice above a mumble, it was a bit of a surprise. It almost stung for some reason.
“Sorry.” You say quietly, trying to hide the quiver in your voice. You put the half eaten cookie down. Dang it! I let my guard down again. What is it with this place? was that poisonous, am I gonna die now? Papyrus turns away with a sigh.
“Can ‘ave tha cookies.” He states softly. Your chest still feels a bit tight for some reason. What is this?
“You're sure they're not poisoned?...” you ask. Papyrus hums.
“Poisoned?... Sans prolly lef’ it. Poison an’t ‘is style.” Papyrus shoots you a small smile, one that looks like it doesn’t belong. Good on him, but foreign.
“Sans… is your brother, right?” You recall. Papyrus nods.
“One could argue.” An odd answer.
“He.. doesn’t like me. Does he.” Your question comes out as more of a statement. Papyrus smirks, but the expression falls quickly.
“He,.. uh… wan’s ya dead.” Papyrus mutters. No surprise there.
“Yea… no surprise there…” Everyone seems to… I left the only ones who didn’t… You pick up the cookie to finish it. The conversation is getting a little dark.
“These are really good.” You state, trying to lift the mood. Papyrus nods in agreement.
“Yea…” he trails off with another foreign smile. He furrows his brow for a second before relaxing.
“So, uh… you.. having a good day?” You ask tentatively. Stop being polite to the enemy! Papyrus flinches, and his eyelights flick downward.
“Err...Ya.. try’na... tease me? Er. somethn’..?” Papyrus asks awkwardly. You feel a bit bewildered, and… actually, no. you’re not surprised.
“No, sorry, just… uh, trying to, ya know, make small talk…” His cheekbones turn a faint dusty pink.
“Er… I’m a’kay….” He shifts on his feet. “You uh.. How’re you?”
“As good as I can be, I guess.” You chuckle lightly. Papyrus lets out a quiet, hoarse chuckle as he rubs his arm.
“‘Umans ‘re weird.” Papyrus mumbles.
“Yea... guess we kinda are.” Compared with his race, you are very weird. “You, wanna sit down?” You're a bit surprised he hadn’t done so sooner, with all those heavy books he’s holding, and all…
“Uh.. yea.” he sets his pile of books on the floor, picks up a paper bag off the top, and to your surprise, hands it to you. “Take this.” His face is on the verg of red. “Got it… before,..” He gestures over to the plate on the torture box. You nod, as he takes a notepad from his pocket, and a book, and sits on the pile. You open the bag to find two muffins.
“Can eat that, Got somethin’ need ta work on.” He opens the book, flipping through some of the pages.
“Did.. you want one?” You ask. He shakes his head. “Thanks, for everything.” You add. Papyrus bobs his head. You want to say more, But it’s obvious that he’s avoiding conversation. You sit back down and pick at one of the muffins ———————————————————————————————————
You finish your muffin. Papyrus has been studying those books for a while now, you think maybe about half an hour of silence has passed now. How old is he? Is he in some sort of monster school? Whatever, you’re bored. Whatever Papyrus is reading must be really interesting… it had to be more interesting than staring at the old wooden ceiling of this shed, anyway. You tiptoe over to Papyrus, and look over his shoulder.
“What’s that?” He jumps and closes the book, but not before you saw some of the oldish style writing and strange pictures. It looked like a diagram of some sort, but it was hard to tell from the quick glance. Papyrus looks over his shoulder and gives you a questioning look, he doesn’t look too impressed..
“Sorry.” You say, biting your lip. You look at the floor. Papyrus is about to say something before a chime from his pocket cuts him off. He curses under his breath, and stands, gathering the books.
“’ll be back.” And with that he disappears. Drat, When did the fire go out?

Been a while since I posted one of these little comfort drabbles.
Tis Uf!sans x reader of course.
Tis a short one but I hope you enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~
The soft cold breeze rustles the evergreen leaves. You wrap his jacket around you tighter as you look out into the garden. From the back porch, you see the glistening lights carefully strewn over… pretty much everything, matching the stars above. You can't help but sigh, your breath a white puff of vapour.
Now you feel his presence, you scrunch up hoping he won't notice you… but you know he's seen you, you feel his soft gaze.
He sits on the bench beside you leaning back getting comfy.
"Hey." He whispers.
"Hey." You parrot back.
A moment of silence befalls you both, it's not quite an awkward one, more like. A needed silence.
You know he noticed you were missing from bed not long after you snuck out and you know he's just worried.
"So…" He hums. "You ok doll?"
You only nod, still looking over the garden.
"Kay... so like you come here often?" He chuckles.
You let out a little giggle. "I live here silly."
"On the porch? Man, that's rough."
You roll your eyes but laugh a little all the same.
Then.
Another.
moment.
of.
quiet.
"Do... You wanna talk about it?" He then asks.
You finally find the strength to look his way and all you can do is lean in and wrap your arms around him.
"H-hey, it's gonna be ok." He holds you and pats your head softly.
You try not to soak him in tears.
"Hey, It's okay to cry a little, heard it helps some." It's as if he read your mind.
Despite your best efforts, the water in your eyes take that invitation.
"Let it all out doll, you can tell me what's up after. It'll be ok I promise." He pulls you closer and gently rubs your back.
You cuddle up, he's so warm and you always feel so safe in his arms.
"I love you, sweetheart, you know that?" He mutters in your ear.
You nod. "I love you too Sans."
Obviously, you're excited to see your friends again, but have things changed after all this time? how have they been? and Why on earth did they even close the daycare in the first place? Ok so, this turned out just a tad more angsty than intended...
This is the follower raffle prize for @yuckydraws
Set post monster vs human war in medival times of my au.
Edge (UF Papyrus) x reader.
Through The Ages: Our Little Secret Cabin.
You rush through the trees. Golden light peeks through the canopy. With your woven basket tucked in the crook of your arm. Your feet trip, but you catch yourself on a tree.
You can't be late again, but you just had to lose that person following you.
No one can ever know. Not a single person can find out.
You finally get to the small cabin tucked away, deep in the woods.
You knock your secret little pattern on the dark wooden door before you open it.
Empty. Again.
What was this the sixth week since the war ended?
You sigh. Might as well clean the place while you're here.
He always liked things clean and tidy some would say he's a little pedantic about it.
But he made this place. He built it with his own hands. Just in case things between humans and monsters went wrong. It's somewhere you could both hide. He was always thinking ahead. You need to keep it perfect for when he finally comes back to you.
So you dust, polish, shine every surface, from ceiling to floor the whole place is again spotless. It's not too hard since you have been doing it every week now. You sit, in the dark, on the couch, resting before you make the trek back to your village. You hold the last letter that Edge had written you. You read it once again, checking you've got this right for what must be the fifth hundredth time. You received this letter just before the war ended. The war monsters had won.
You haven't heard from him since. He must have written this at least a week before then.
He reminded you of the promise you shared the day he left to fight. He didn't want to go, but he had no choice. You haven't seen him in years now, but those words, that promise. You've thought about it every day. Held on to it.
"My dear, after this is all over, meet me at our secret cabin. I promise no matter what happens, I will come back as soon as I can. Promise you will meet me there. Please."
But then where is he?
The worst-case scenarios run rampant in your mind.
A silent tear runs down your cheek, followed by another. Then another. Until you can't stop them.
You just want him back.
This wasn't how it was supposed to go. You were supposed to be together. Be happy. Forever. If only this stupid war didn't take him from you. Then everything would be fine. He could be here to hug you, to hold you, to-...
KNOCK.
You're frozen in place, your breath stops, you can only stare at the door.
The knocks that follow. It's the knock. Your secret pattern!
Was. Is. Is he finally home?
The doorknob turns. But then it stops. You hear a loud sigh from behind the door. The door clicks back into place.
No, no, no no-no-no.
You jump out of your seat. Swinging the door open.
He stops in his tracks. His back to you. He was walking away.
"Edge!" You shout.
He turns. It's him, you almost can't believe it.
You sniffle, your lip quivering, your eyes welling up for a completely different reason than before. You run to him. Jumping into his arms. He catches and spins you around, muttering your name in sheer surprised joy.
"You waited?" He squeaks.
"You came." You cry.
He puts you down, holds your cheek in his big boney hand, wiping at your tears with his thumb. His eye lights, shine under the moonlight as he takes your every feature in.
"I missed you so much. What took you so long? you bonehead." You laugh just a little.
"I missed you too." He mutters. He looks around quickly. "I'll explain everything inside."
You both hurry inside and settle on the couch. He takes both your hands in his but not before lighting an oil lamp to illuminate the room.
"My dear, I'm so sorry I took so long to get back to you."
You look up at him. It has been so long, you notice so many more scars and chips over his bones than you remember, and the pains of war hidden behind his adoring eye lights.
"You got hurt, didn't you." You knew it.
He looks away but gives you a sad nod.
"The last battle… I thought I was not going to make it home. I would have written. I just couldn't. I came here as soon as they let me go. I didn't know you'd be here. I thought."
You take his cheek in your hand, gently turning his face to look at you.
"I would never break our promise." You assure him. "We said no matter what happened, we would meet here. What kind of mate would I be If I didn't wait here until you came for me? All that matters Is you're here now."
He wraps his arms around you. “I love you. I missed you so much.”
“I love you too.” You hug him back. “And I missed you more.”
He shakes his head. “I swear I missed you more.”
“Nah uh. I missed you more.” You giggle.
Edge chuckles. “You have no idea how much I missed you.”
“Well, you have no idea how much I missed you.”
“How about we agree to disagree, love?”
“No, I think we’re going to have to prove who missed the other more.” You bat your eyelashes.
“Alright, challenge accepted.” he smiles. “I missed your devilish little smirk.” he plants a little kiss on the corner of your lips.
“Well, I missed your stupidly handsome cheekbones.” You giggle, pressing your lips to his sharp cheekbones.
“I missed that giggle of yours.” He snuggles his face into your neck, making you giggle more.
You push him gently to lay on the couch. “I missed having you to hold.” You cuddle up.
“I missed that too.” He slowly pats your head, holding you close.
You both sigh…
You look up at him. “I missed your gorgeous jawline.” You whisper, scattering little kisses over his jaw.
“I missed your beautiful mind.” He whispers back, kissing your head.
“No, I missed your amazing mind.” You shuffle up to kiss his forehead. “I missed everything about you.” You pepper kisses over his skull.
“Ok, ok you win.” He chuckles.
“But there’s something else I missed too.” You pout.
“And what might that be my lady?”
You trace your thumb over his teeth. “Your kisses.” You whisper before gently pressing your lips to his teeth.
Your hand rests on his chest, the other holds his cheek. He melts into your kiss, wrapping his arms around you more, pulling you close. He breaks away long enough to whisper, “I missed this too.” Before kissing you again.
You can’t help but kiss each other breathless, trying to show just how much you’ve really missed each other.
“I love you.” You sigh.
“I love you more.”
You both laugh as you rest your head back on his chest. A moment of quiet passes.
You need to ask the question you know has to be on both of your minds.
“What now?” You mutter.
Edge takes a deep breath in and out. I don’t know.”
“We’ll… figure it out though, right?”
He nods. “Of course. We’ve been through worse.”
“Yeah.” you sigh.
“Say, has the bed been changed recently?”
You giggle. “Just before you came.”
He kisses your head. “We’ll figure it all out in the morning then.”
Heya! :3 Saw your sweet Skeleboy Date Idea and would ask for Axe if you´re still open for it! :D Fall Season, raining/Thunderstorm maybe? Daytime should be Sunset or Night, Dinner, Your House/Garden and let it be romantic :3 I love your little Storys hehe
Axe With Thunder and Food.
You hear a little knock on the door so you turn the pan, you were keeping warm, off and head over to answer it.
You open the door and there he stands, your boyfriend, Axe, axe-identally looming over you as usual, because of his height. A dopey grin across his face, an arm full of snacks and a small bouquet tucked away in his hand. He's dressed in a smart casual way, possibly caught by his brother before leaving, his classic beanie hiding his unfortunate injury, his single red eyelight soft and focused on what he surely perceives as your rather small frame.
"Hey Sansy, come on in." You chime, stepping aside to let him in.
"Thanks sweet pea." Axe replies as he ducks under the doorframe to step in. "I brought some snacks." He dumps said snacks on the coffee table. He always brings you a haul of snacks when he visits, and now he even remembers all your favourites, how sweet.
"And." He holds the mini bouquet out to you. "Tada."
What a lovable dork.
"Thank you so much dear." You send him a sweet smile as you accept his gifts. That's when you notice the orange leaf stuck to his beanie.
"Oh let me just." You rest a hand on his shoulder and reach up, on your tiptoes snagging the little leaf. "There, I couldn't leaf that there now could I?" You show him what you found on his head with a giggle.
Axe chuckles his cheekbones a soft midnight blue. He then plants a little kiss on your forehead, and pulls you in for a hug.
"Thanks." He mumbles. "You know... you look really pretty."
Now it was your turn to blush.
"Oh damn, something smells good." He purrs, sniffing at the air.
"That should be dinner, come on you big Teddy bear, let me show you to your table."
You lead him out to the garden, it's a little duller now then when you set everything up out here, oh well, what's the worst that could happen? at least it's still fairly warm.
Axe takes a seat and sends you another one of his adorable smiles.
"I'll be right back." You wave the bouquet in hand as you head in.
You quickly find something as a vase, filling it with water and setting the flowers in it, bringing them out.
"Perfect." You set them on the table, the little flash of colour bringing the whole set up together. "Ok I'll fetch dinner now." You turn around to head back in.
"Wait." Axe says.
You stop in your tracks.
"I… I just wanted to say." Axe mumbles. "You look really nice today, sugar cookie."
You blush yet again and press a kiss to his cheekbone. "You look nice too, sweetie."
You then head back in and serve dinner as nicely as you can, you place a big plate of food in front of Axe and pour drinks before you sit down with your own food before you.
"Bon Appetit." You chime.
The two of you dig in, casual chatting as you start your meal.
"Stars is this good sweetie pie."
"It's nothing really, but thank you." You sing in reply.
The scent of the food compliments that classic earthy, sweet smell of autumn, not to mention the soft perfume of the flowers.
But the air feels slightly tight and almost thick, the leaves in the trees are still as stone, it's warm and despite being relaxed it feels somewhat tense.
That's when a drop of water lands on your nose, followed by more droplets as the heavens begin to open.
Axe stops. You both look at each other. The sprinkling of rain was sure to get heavier. You both grab all you can. You rush inside.
Your hair damp, his hat darkened by rain but thank the stars your food didn't get spoiled.
You look out the window as the rain gets heavier and heavier, hammering against the glass. The sky grows only darker by the second.
A crash of light is followed by a roar of thunder.
"Shoot."
Glad you got in quick.
"There we go." Axe chimes, while you were distracted he set the table.
"Oh I'm sorry, I should have-"
"It's no problem, puddin'." He cuts you off.
"Thank you." You reply.
An idea then pops into your head. "I know just the thing to make this perfect." You light a candle setting it on the table too, it lights the slightly dark room aglow in a warm orange hue.
"Perfect." Axe smiles.
The storm almost feels like it's faded into the background as you both enjoy finishing your meal together.
"Hey dear, want to watch a movie after this?"
"Sure, I'd love that, sugar plum."
You finish off this night snuggled on the couch, munching the snacks Axe brought, as you watch a movie together, unbothered by the storm outside, until the electricity cut out halfway through, that is.
It takes him a while and a dedicated partner to get this far and comfortable in a relationship though.
Through the ages
Significant times through my Au, basically some world building and backgrounds for some fics.
These will not be 100% accurate to irl history, let's call it history inspired, I am in no way a historian, this is fanfiction ok XDD.
Ancient Egypt
In this time there were two dynasties that ruled over the most powerful kingdom of the time. One dynasty was that of monster, the other of Human, they lived together in peace and worked in harmony, they were family. Each ruled over their own half of the land, both with a share of monster and human subjects, an equal amount of both. Families comprised of both were normal, and hybrids were common.
Roman age
The roman empire switched power from monster to human many times, each emperor bringing different assets and changes to the table. The military might was strong, the army it was mostly led by monsters purely for their power and strength, not to say the number of human warriors was lacking through this time though. Humans and monsters still worked together but their harmony was a little rocky at times.
Vikings era
Over with the vikings there were many groups, many clans of the time, some were monsters, some human and some mixed, though at peace within your clan, they lived in an unstable time… many clans fought against others, as well as the many raids that took place as clans expanded to different lands, those spared at a raid were to join that clan. As far as human monster peace was concerned in this area it was complicated, each had their own view, some accepting others not.
Medieval
(pre) During this time the land was divided in two, two separate kingdoms, although they mixed slightly it was a prevalent divide between monsters and humans at this time, each belonging to their respective kingdom. The royalty divided yes but many commoners, the people of the land didn’t care much for the politics. Not until it happened.
(during) War broke out, some say it was a misunderstanding between the royals that was the straw on the camel's back, whatever the cause it broke many families. The boundary between the kingdoms were no longer safe as swords clashed on the battlefield, many mighty warriors never made it home from battle.
(post) Monsters won the war, there mighty heroes were an army of skeletons. Now a huge class differenceb was formed, humans were bottom of the pack, they made up most of the lower class while monsters ruled on high. It was not the done thing for monsters to befriend humans nevermind become mates and god forbid wed.
Victorian
The relationship between monsters and humans is still rather broken at this point, it was so long ago the war happened but peace and harmony has still not been attained. Many hold onto a prejudice yet they do not know why, it has just always been that way for them, the monsters learnt to look down on the humans and the humans in turn grew resentment for the monsters. But it was not the way with all in the land that was just what was common among the people.
The modern time is where the rest of my au takes place, things are looking brighter by now for humans, and monsters and humans can marry once more. Though not all is that simple, some are against this, unable to drop centuries of disdain.
Future
Technical advancements have skyrocketed, monsters and humans have finally found peace and work together for a better… today. (insert sci-fi cliche future, flying cars ect. ect) the past behind us all.
Now Space travel is prevalent at this time, many space stations and ships fly through the void between the planets and stars. Space ships filled with crews selected as the brightest and bravest to venture forth and explore the unknown the furthest reaches of the universe.
Storm of a hunt part 4
Part 1
You’d been asleep for awhile.. You looked so relaxed, your chest rising and falling with your soft breath. The sight of you safe and peaceful set his swimming mind at ease for some reason. But it felt… wrong. Like he wasn’t supposed to feel it. Like he didn’t deserve to feel that way. Is this real? Am I really supposed to… be with this person? I don’t even know them. Maybe.. Are soul mates even really a thing? He realized he was staring, and quickly turned away.
Papyrus’s phone chimed. He reached for the device in the pocket of his old orange jacket that Sans had thrown at him when he left, and his hand stuck through a long tear down the front. He cursed under his breath. A message from Sans stared at him from his phone screen.
Dinner’s ready. It said. Papyrus sighed, and set the the now half gutted heater behind his brother’s torture box. “have ta finnish ya later.” He whispered. He glanced at you again. Your head rested on the wall behind you on an old faded blue sweater that once belonged to Sans. You were wrapped in a dark gray blanket that was torn and frayed in several places. Was it really alright to leave you? his phone pinged twice. That’ll be him wondering where I am. Papyrus set a few more sticks in the rusty fire pan, closed his sockets, and focused on the kitchen. He took a step forward, and was greeted with the familiar waitless spinning sensation.
The first thing that hit him was the smell. The room smelled like a bar had burned down, and was extinguished with chilli. The second was a spoon. A wooden one. In the face. Papyrus grunted, pressing the heel of his palm into his forehead. He blinked at Sans, who was holding a backing sheet of cookies in one hand, and picking up the spoon with the other. He straightened up, and looked him in the eye.
“No space-time shenanigans, IN MY HOUSE!!!” Sans screeched, brandishing the spoon. He turned back to the kitchen, setting the pan on the stove. Papyrus sat silently at the table, and Sans came to join him. A plate of burnt looking tortilla bundles covered with melted cheese sat neatly on a plate in the center of the table. Sans placed one on his and Papyrus’s plate, and dug into his. Papyrus picked up his fork, and cut into the bundle.
The crisp layer flaked and crumbled anywhere that there was a burnt black spot. Some sort of greasy liquid ran out of the bundle. Not much, but some. Papyrus took a bite. It was a mess of soggy burnt tortilla, hamburger, rubbery, oily and burnt, soggy cooked leaves of some sort, and beans that were somehow still cold. The cheese poured over the outside was thin in some places, and chunky in others. The whole thing tasted smoky. And that was the only distinguishable taste aside from the cheese, which just toned it down some. Definitely one of his better burritos. The two didn’t talk to, or even look at each other for the entirety of the meal. Sans was still mad about you. Papyrus was the first to stand.
“Leaving so soon?” Sans asked, not looking up from his plate. Papyrus grunted an affirmative.
“Go to your post. It’s already well past morning. However, that’s no surprise. You’re a worthless sentry. If you weren’t my brother I would have gotten rid of you long ago.”
“‘Kay.” Papyrus muttered.
“And eat some of those cookies. I was practicing earlier, and I don’t want perfectly good food gone to waste.” Papyrus took a couple cookies from the baking sheet, pulled a black leather jacket off the back of the couch in the living room, and vanished. Sans sighed. He rose from his chair, and started picking up from the meal.
He brought his plate to the sink, but before putting it in, he stopped. Papyrus had left his plate next to the sink. He only ate half of it. Why does He keep doing this? How does he expect to live like this? Sans looked at the plate, sockets narrowed, and jaw set firmly, as if it would solve the problem and make the food evaporate. After a moment, he scraped the wasted food into the trash, and stacked the plates in the bottom of the sink. Why do I even make him food, when he doesn’t eat it?... “Worthless.” he spat, his hands trembling as he filled a plastic container with leftover burritos. Sans looked down at the food. All but one burrito were packed neatly into the container. Oh, what the heck. He thought.
“‘Pyrus! My favorite customer!” Muffet chimed as the skeleton pushed through the bakery’s glass door. Papyrus sauntered toward the counter. A few of the bakeries’s patreons, glanced his way, but only briefly. The walls were painted a pale lavender, with indigo trim lining the floor, corners, and ceiling. The tables were draped with lacy black and white doily-like tablecloths. Each table was donned with a glass, gold trimmed cake stand, each adorned with a black teapot filled with artificial flowers, covered with beautiful dark purple and black spider silk that glistened in the dim overhead lights. The whole bakery was completely pristine, aside from the spider webs placed collectively around the shop, in the corners, and under the tables.
Papyrus stood in front of the black counter at the back of the shop.
“What can I get for you today, Deary? The usual, I assume?” Papyrus nodded.
“Double it.” he said, as little purple spiders skittered across the metal racks of baked goods behind The monster woman.
“Can I get you anything more? A drink perhaps? How about I give you a discount? First drink for a hundred G?” Papyrus shook his head. Muffet had raised the price by 25%. Muffet flicked one of her thick black pigtails.
“Suit yourself. I assume you want this on your tab?” Papyrus nodded. Muffet rang him up. Three large dark purple puffball spiders skittered across the counter, a small black paper bag balanced on their backs. Papyrus took the bag off the backs of the spiders, nodded to Muffet, who giggled in response, and walked out. What a mysterious young man. He’s gone back to his old style.
You wake with a start. Where am- oh. Right. You look down at yourself. Someone has rapped you in a tattered grey blanket. Something is off though. A… smell. A musty smell hangs in the air around you. Is it the blanket? You hold it to your nose. Nope. Then you see the sweater you were leaning on. Yup. definitely that. It smells kind of like mildew, and mothballs. You look around the room. All is the same, except that the heater is gone, the fire has almost gone out, and a plate of something sits on the ‘tourture box’, along with a scrap of paper. Papyrus is gone.
It’s me the angst monster soooo....45 with uf sans where his SO takes a bullet for him?
Shots taken....
This evenin'? Well it was goin' great. 'Was' bein' the keyword.
Papyrus caught me, wrappin' his arms around me as I collapse, the grief draggin' me to the floor, my legs bucklin' under the heavy cloud of sadness. My bro falls to the floor after me and I grip the back of his shirt tightly.
"Why." I cry, feelin' the tears of magic stream down my cheekbones. "Why did she. Why couldn't I… Pap… i-it should. It should have been me. It should have been me."
I feel my soul crack even more as I replay the events over and over in my skull, the only thing keepin' it together, is the promise. The promise I made to my Sweetheart. Her sacrifice. It can't go to waste, it just can't. I can't let it.
"Why did she leave me?"
Papyrus had no words to offer, no answer, all he could do was hold me close. But it doesn't matter nothin' he could say would make it better anyway. Nothin' can ever fill this hole, nothin' will ever fix my broken soul. It just hurts so much.
How did everythin' go so wrong...? Maybe if we hadn't gone out it would've been fine. She'd still be here.
I clutch the little black box in my hand.
"I was gonna do it Pap. I promise. This was the night. I was gonna do it. But." I sob, my soul pourin' out of my sockets.
How did it all go so wrong?! It was only a few hours ago I saw that smile, heard that laugh. Now she's gone. Tonight was supposed to be happy. It was supposed to be special, we even got dressed up and everythin'.
It was going so smoothly, until it wasn't. We were waitin' for our meal when they, those disgustin' creatures came bargin' in all high and mighty. We got out through the back door with some others. We thought we'd lost them as we wound our way through those damned alleyways.
Then. It happened all so quickly. I was pushed to the floor. BANG!!! I looked up. She was there. She looked back at me with a smile. She fell to the floor. Right in front of me. A dude. An idiot pointed his gun towards me.
I felt my marrow boil. My magic turned to flames. Anger consumed me. I don't even remember what I did next but he was dead before he could even flinch.
My soul then sank like a rock as I fell to her side. "Sweetheart!?" I called as I scooped her up carefully.
"S...sans?" She muttered weakly.
"Hey, hey stay with me doll it'll be ok, hey keep those eyes open."
I placed my hand over her wound as a faint green glow grew over it. It wasn't strong enough. I wasn't strong enough. If only I wasn't so weak. Damn it, if only my freaking green magic. I tried my best, but it wasn't enough.
"Keep. going. Love." Those were her last words, her last wish.
But I just don't know how without her. I just can't. But I have to. For her. For my love. I have to keep going.
But...
"I miss her… so much."
A moonlit walk through the autumn woods with Rus (SF Papyrus)
This was the place and time he had asked you to meet him, he should be around here somewhere… you look around as you step past the first trees beside the path. The hues of orange and yellow glisten in the moonlight.
Something else shining in the night catches your eye, two rusty orange lights gazing upwards at the starry sky, his off white skull softly lit and framed by the gray moon light as he sits on a fallen tree.
You step towards him, crunching crispy leaves underfoot. He jumps, looking in your direction as his eyelights shrunk into little slits… but as soon as he sees you his eyelights dilate and a smile tugs at the corners of his teeth.
"Hey sweetie." Rus chuckles as he comes over. "Thanks for comin'."
"Yeah of course, thanks for inviting me. It's nice here. You weren't waiting long were you?" You ask.
"Na, got here a li'l early and you're right on time. So um… you wanna walk?" He gestures down the path.
"Sure."
He has a cute little smile as you both start walking down the path side by side. The moonlight shines on the path ahead and the sparkling stars peek through the amber leaves above you, and it's perfect. Perfect in that it creates the most stunning, peaceful romantic atmosphere.
His hand brushes against yours and he turns his skull as it glows slightly. A few moments later he finds the courage to slip his hand into yours! He rubs the back of his skull, embarrassed, and he jumps a bit when you squeeze his hand. He turns back to you with a shy little smile as he plays with the drawstring of his hoodie jacket.
"Hey… um… there's a clearin' up ahead with a bench if you… you know wanna sit down for a little…?" Rus asks, you can tell he's a little nervous.
"Can do." You reply with a smile that makes his eyelights sparkle.
He takes you over to the clearing and sits down with you on a pretty little bench. The leaves of autumn hues open up in a picturesque way framing the sky speckled with celestial lights, the moon shining beautifully in the darkness of night. Some mushrooms glisten in a magical way through the crispy dry leaves that cover the forest floor.
Rus sighs as if he's finally managed to calm his nerves.
"It's beautiful." You whisper in awe, as if a loud noise might shatter the beauty and peace.
He nods, "yeah, that's why I love coming here, to calm down or for inspiration n stuff." He mumbles.
You both then talk as you marvel at the sky and the colours of the woods. At some point he had wrapped an arm around your shoulders and you leaned in and cuddled up to him as you just chat about everything, about your hobbies, about what you too have in common, what you both like about autumn and so much more, oh and don't forget the jokes he tells, is it just how much you like him or the way he says them! He can make even the lamest joke or pun so so funny. His eyelights sparkle and swirl happily the more you laugh and smile.
He asks a few questions and listens as you ramble on your own little tangent but you notice he's drifted into a daydream about halfway through as he gazes at you with a sweet soft look.
"Don't you think so Rus?" You ask…. yup nothing you've truly lost him. You repeat your question...
"Hum? Y-yeah totally…" he replies snapping out of it.
You can't help but laugh which just makes him even more confused.
"What?" He asks.
"Oh nothing," you giggle. "What's on your mind dear?"
"Can I take your picture?" He blurts… "um… I mean cuz it's… um… the lighting is really nice and you know, you just look so beautiful an'... an' stuff…" mumbles his skull glowing a little.
You nod your face going a little pink, "Alright, if you want to."
He smiles… "Thanks…" he hums as he gets his camera from his inventory.
"So do you need me to pose?" You question.
"Just smile for me please." He holds his camera up and snaps a shot. "Perfect, that's one for the happy memory album… thanks sweetie."
"How about a selfie?" You suggest.
"Yeah good idea." He pulls you closer and snaps a quick selfie. "These 'll have to go in my scrapbook." He chuckles. "So you wanna keep walking now or...? It's just as pretty further up."
"It's pretty nice cuddled up here but sure, you can show me the rest."
"Cool, come on then." He pulls you up and you continue your walk. The path twists and turns through the trees, you both crunch the crisp leaves that gently fall as you walk hand in hand, the last of the summer blooms peak through in the night as a cold breeze blows over you making you shiver.
Rus stops… "It's gettin' a little chilly… You'll be getting cold….um... here." He starts taking his jacket off and wraps it around you.
"Oh thank you." You smile up at him practically drowning in his big heavy hoodie. "But you don't have to…"
"Na it's cool, not like I get cold and you know it suits you better anyway." He chuckles as he pulls the big hood over your head.
You laugh and pull it up enough to look at him again, he smiles down at you making no move to continue walking, instead he plays with a strand of your hair before he tucks it behind your ear… his eyelights sparkle with love and swirl with happiness as he looks deeply into your eyes.
"(Y/n)... can I… can I kiss you?" He asks sheepishly in a hushed voice…
You nod…
He holds your cheek gently as he leans in, you both close your eyes as he presses his teeth to your lips. The kiss is short and sweet but gives you butterflies all the same.
"Can I?" He ask again and you nod.
He leans in again this time kissing you a little deeper and longer. The fizzle of his magic feels nice against your lips as he slips his hand behind your head. He pulls away leaning his forehead against yours.
"I… I love you (y/n)." He whispers.
