MIKIIII THANK YOU. okay here's my playlist and im gonna do a song by song breakdown... I'll try and keep it decently brief so this doesn't become one million words but we'll see. my playlist is vaguely chronological so it starts pre-checkmate!

okay so this one is just straight up a leo song. you just have to listen to it it's literally about him "I raised my hands up real high, they called me stupid when I asked why we couldn't fly. am I too far ahead of my friends, or I am late?" hellooooo hello. hi. leo tsukinaga everyone!!!! right down to the moon/space theming

well I'm sure you know this song and the story behind it "the seduction of thanatos" I think it works very well about the izuleo dynamic around this time when they're very codependent and leo is so severely depressed and suicidal. they're fucked up 👍

so this one makes me think of izumi going to see leo in a similar vein to lionheart but probably before that and he sees leo so broken and neither of them can bring themselves to say anything. I cannot believe it’s been 12 weeks already! I literally started this anime a month after quarantine...kinda reminds me how long it’s been since I went to school. ANYWAYS this is such a good anime if you want to watch something laid-back, funny, and overall really wholesome. A lot of the comedy comes from Japanese puns, and even though I obviously couldn’t understand a lot of the jokes through subtitles, I still enjoyed this anime a lot! My favorite part was the father-daughter relationship between Goto-sensei and Hime, as well as the crazy ass antics Goto-sensei pulled. I thought these were just going to be comedy-gags every episode, but there was an actual story to this and I was not disappointed. I also really appreciated the scenery (as you can see). SO YES WATCH THIS AND SOMEONE TALK TO ME ABOUT IT PLEASE!

Il manga viene serializzato sulle pagine della rivista Monthly Shonen Magazine dal 2015 e attualmente conta 10 volumi pubblicati in patria.

Meet the Secret-Keepers of Upcoming Anime Kakushigoto

  The protagonists of upcoming anime comedy Kakushigoto are a father and daughter separated by a secret: Dad pens a not-so-family-friends weekly manga, and fears his daughter will resent him if she finds out. Helping him hide his secret are his staff—who have been revealed today!

  The four new characters help the punnily-named Kakushi Goto hide his work from the equally punnily-named Hime Goto... with varying results. Here are the new cast members:

    Aoku Shiji: CV Taku Yashiro (Natsuo Fujii in Domestic Girlfriend). The senior assistant at Kakushi's studio, who hopes to make his manga debut somday. However, he's constantly asking for guidance (shiji wo aoku).

Rasuna Sumita: CV Kiyono Yasuno (Megumi Kato in Saekano -How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend-). Another of Goto's assistant and an aspiring artist. She's the most responsible of the group, constantly yelling at people not to spill their ink ("Sumi tarasu na!").

Ami Kakei: CV Ayane Sakura (Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia). An aspiring horror cartoonist in charge of finishing. Her specialty is kakeami-style crosshatching.

    Kakeru Keshi: CV  Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata, Haikyu!!). Another assistant, in charge of erasing draft lines. He often needs someone to offer him encouragement (keshikakeru).

Kakushigoto is based on the manga by Koji Kumeta (Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei), currently running in Monthly Shonen Magazine. The series is being animated at Ajia-do Animation Works (Ascendance of a Bookworm), and is set to premiere April 2.

Kakushigoto - Review

I love Hime-chan and Goto Sensei so so so so much TT

About: Kakushigoto follows the life of a mangaka Kakushi Goto, he has a little girl called Hime. He believes his job would be a disappointment for his daughter so he hides it and makes her believe he is a salaryman. This paranoia-induced belief leads Kakushi into hectic situations. Despite being a single father, he does his best and often resorts to extreme ends just to protect his secret, including holding emergency drills in case Hime somehow finds her way to his workplace. Is the story of a father and daughter living side by side, maintaining their peaceful existence as the father attempts to preserve the status quo. However, there is a saying: "there are no secrets that time cannot reveal." In time, Hime must learn the reality behind the things she took for granted as she grew up.

Thoughts: Definitely one of my favorite of this season and probably one of my favorite for this year. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, I laughed so much, and constantly felt tense and sad during every last scene of each ep. Goto sensei was an extraordinary unique character his love for his daughter lead him to do a lot of ridiculous stuff just so she can still look up for him. Hime is the perfect girl, so sweet and peaceful and she definitely wouldn’t mind his dad job specially since she likes art too. Their interactions where so beautiful and funny it got me smiling a lot. Goto sensei assistant where also really funny each of them unique, so loyals and attached to their work position for the mangas, I laughed a lot with them.

Animation was really good, it was kind of weird, during past scenes (wich is most of the anime) everything seems more relaxed you can tell that times where easier back then, but for present scenes animation changes into a more detail and deep one giving a more serious vibe that got you all worry since you don’t know what happened until the last ep. I adore the music, seriously, and the sound we’re great the voice actors did a good job. The opening and ending were indeed the best, I couldn’t stop myself from singing, they are definitely going to be on my list of OP and ED for this years resolution ^^

My final score for this one is a goo 9/10, it’s great and funny story with lovable characters that is definitely worth watching.
