hey mack. I was driving home earlier listening to pretty handsome awkward (as one does) and a question popped into my head. Do we actually Know that song is abt gerard or is that just like a popular theory ?? it’s haunting me

no one has ever said "it's about gerard" but a couple different websites on the internet say that in an interview with kerrang in november 2006 quinn said "its about someone with short blonde hair" and bert said "he won't be pissed, i think he will love it, he'll wish he wrote it"

i cant find a scan but its mentioned here by someone who says they don't have a scanner and then that specific lj post is referenced like everywhere else. i hate when its something like that bc it could just be totally made up for drama. like we would have to hunt down that issue of kerrang and see if it exists...

wait actually. i don't think pretty handsome awkward was out at that time? in november 2006? the album didnt come out til may 2007 and pretty handsome awkward wasnt the lead single from what i can find on wikipedia. the bird and the worm was released in march 2007 and it seems that was the earliest one. in which case i don't think the kerrang thing could have been made up cause no one had even heard the song yet?

its just WEIRD to me that theres no scans that ive ever seen, bc that seems like the fandom would want to share for real like hard proof and not just word of mouth,,,

so anyway yea it seems like they hinted pretty heavily at it being about gerard, and kerrang just filled in the blanks themselves.
