It’s my 26th time attending the Sundance Film Festival here in Park City, UT and as the festival opens this year there’s considerable talk about efforts that organizers made to diversify the critical voices represented at this festival. Sundance chief Keri Putnam shared today that 63% of media at this year’s fest are from underrepresented backgrounds. Back when we launched our company here in the early 90s, the festival embraced these three POC twenty-somethings and our big ideas for daily online coverage of the Sundance Film Festival.
