I find it challenging to express why their story captivates me so profoundly. It's an unusual connection between an assassin and a spy who seems detached from life, compelling me to uncover their fate.

Picture a young woman confronting a teenager, the very one who took the life of her fiancé. Yet, when she gazes at him, she sees not a ruthless murderer but an immature boy, despite the blood on his hands and her lack of affection for him.

Consider an idealistic teenager, entrenched in a world devoid of personal sentiments, making calculated decisions for a revolution. Then, he encounters a woman, experiencing an immediate and deep attraction that evolves into profound love. Her mere presence brings him solace, even amidst the most tumultuous times.

Perhaps it resonates because these two teenagers, worlds apart, find a connection through blood, deceit, and revolution. Despite societal forces working against them, they are willing to go to great lengths to protect each other.

Maybe it's the enduring impact that, even 15 years later, with his newly reconstructed life shattered, merely conversing with her spirit brings an immediate smile to his face.

A story of a cold, calculated, and idealistic young warrior navigating through a spectrum of emotions akin to any young man deeply in love.

While many readers emphasize the tragedy, I perceive it differently. Their story is laden with tragedy because it is infused with an abundance of love.

So I did a redraw of my traditional work from the right; I used Procreate and did a simple coloring technique because I'm a simple person, lol. I have to be honest, I really like the redraw over the other; I like how cute Kenshin looks in it, his eyes and the way his hair is falling behind. I could have drawn Tomoe better, but I think I was tired by then.

Word of advice, never rush through a drawing; if you're tired then stop and go back to it. I feel like if I did that she would have a similar look like Kenshin. Which one do you like?

About a Manwha I read titled "Kill me Now"

BEWARE OF ANGST: THIS MANWHA HAS A PROBLEMATIC RELATIONSHIP, LOTS OF VIOLENCE, ABUSE, CRIME, AND SHITLOADS OF TRAUMA. READ IT AND THIS BLOG AT YOUR OWN RISK

So, I was reading this manhwa called "Kill me Now" after discovering it last year. I wanted some nice smut and angst mixed with some gangsta bullshit so, I ended up invested in it 😂.

But what caught my eye the most was the relationship between the two female leads and the main couple Haegu and Mian. It reminded me of one of my favorite animes, Rurouni Kenshin.

Spoilers, ho!

Haegu (black hair), like Kenshin, is a skilled and ruthless killer who had to become cruel at a young age, 15 years old, to be exact. They end up becoming more human after loving a person whose loved one they killed, with Haegu growing to care for Mian when she killed the latter's father and Kenshin falling in love with Tomoe when he killed Tomoe's husband, Akira.

Mian (blonde hair), like Tomoe, falls in love with Haegu, like Tomoe falls for Kenshin. Despite Haegu and Kenshin killing their respective loved ones, with Haegu killing Mian's father and Kenshin killing Akira, Mian and Tomoe still fall for them. Mian and Tomoe also grapple with the guilt in their hearts for falling in love with the person who killed those they care for.

All in all, it's a cool manhwa. It's coming to a close now and I want to see a fitting endgame for Haegu and Mian. At best, I hope they at least find a way to care for each other in a healthy way. At worst, I feel their relationship will end tragically. I actually personally feel it's going to end tragically because I heard somewhere that cosmos, the creator, said it will end like a Greek tragedy or something. I dunno, but the buildup and vibe gives me that.

No words can describe the depth of my affection for this pairing. Their chemistry is truly remarkable, whether within the pages of the manga, in the live-action, or in the OVA. The thought of revisiting the story is bittersweet, it is a reminder that we will never again witness Kenshin's raw vulnerability, unfiltered honesty, and unabashed openness with anyone else.
