Akita Toushirou

“My name is Akita, I’m so excited to-” “....” “....new sibling”

This Saniwa is adopted into Akita’s family now. Akita took one look at this kid and immediately claimed them. Ichi-nii eat your heart out, Akita is gonna do his best to be the bEST BIG BROTHER-

And then Akita and the saniwa take a nap together while bird watching and Ichi-nii is found cRYING

Akita is a sweetheart no doubt and while he doesn’t partake in war much as a blade, damn right he’s going to be protective as hell of this saniwa. As said before, Akita is going to try to be a good big brother since he’s like...several hundred years old by now? Catch him always holding hands with the saniwa, leading them around the citadel, excitedly enjoying the day with them!

His favorite thing to do with them (regardless of age) is just well, bird watching or cloud watching! He’ll pick a sunny patch of grass or help them climb up into a tree and just...look up at the sky with them! Stargazing counts too. Then they gotta scream for someone to help them get down. PlEASE HJELP

Hell yeah Akita will fucking stumble into the kid’s room to stay up late. They’ll probably conk the hell out while playing ANimal Crossing or something. He tries his best to stay up though! It’s not super healthy but like...he just wants to spend more time with his new sibling!

Akita can kinda cook? He more or less bakes with the rest of his siblings, expect him to always feed the lil saniwa first though. He cares for them a lot!

Akita also attempts to get stronger in order to protect them. He’s mostly a protective sword for nobles and being close to this new lil master like this makes him happy to be of use, no matter how much he can do!

Akita also looooves going out for a walk! He’ll always hold the Saniwa’s hand as they run around a forest or a mall and get lost beyond belief. Akita will try not to cry though, even though he’s scared as fUCK. He just loves having new adventures with them!

Can and will try to give them a piggy back ride.

Akita Toushirou is a sweet little kid, and having a saniwa that is a child will honestly help him feel at ease. He’ll do his best to be a good big brother, even if he and the saniwa are mentally rather young. He just wants to do his best and see the world along side them!

Gokotai

“I-I-I’m Gokotai...I’m so sorr-”

“....I-I think they like you...?”

Gokotai isn’t even a true Toushirou place, an artificial and yet part of the Toushirou family. Despite the rest of his brothers saying that they love him nonetheless, he still feels like he doesn’t belong. So when he meets this little master, a part of him is terrified that they will not like him. Gokotai already has pretty crippling self esteem so being around someone who has a similar mentality to him does help ease him a lil bit???? But his tigers like him and animals can tell shit like that.

So when his tigers trust the lil saniwa, Gokotai’s shoulders slump a little, letting out some breath he had not realized he was holding. He’s rather shy and quiet, hesitant to talk to the master and will just prefer sitting there in silence with them. Most likely reading a book together or chilling with the tigers.

Speaking of books, Gokotai adores picture books - stores with animals being his favorites. Momotaro is an example as it’s about a young boy who goes on a brave adventure with animal friends - but like in the Hanamaru anime, another book he loves is The Blue Bird of Happiness. He and the lil saniwa will just read it over and over, and then probably have a permanent like lil corner of this one library or bookstore they always visit. The people working there know their damn names by now and probs have snacks for them.

When it comes to the little tigers, I think Gokotai will adore it when the saniwa comes to visit - his tigers will run to them, and beg for their attention. They groom them together, pet them, play with them, honestly it’s so fucking cute. Please hug my lil son for me. Cuddle him and give him a foREHEADD KISSY

Gokotai will slowly become protective of the Saniwa as he becomes closer to them. Taking in the idea of Kiwame!Gokotai, when he comes back with the sole tiger, he promises to protect them better!

To quote Gokotai, “Master always looks straight into my eyes.” and those are the window to his soul. He shies away at first but as he and the lil saniwa become closer, he feels comforted by the fact they always look at him in the eyes, a sign of trust and that they care for him? I don’t know how to explain it but it’s kind of a zen state when you lock eyes with someone you trust and just...wordlessly pass on thoughts to each other.

It warms the heart of the Toushirou fam to see Gokotai open up like this. He is one of the more timid of the bunch because of his...ya know, general disposition and past. This saniwa now has the entire Awataguchi fam at their beck and call now, find them being carried by Ichi-nii

GOkotai’s tigers will love them~! Always pouncing on them to wake them up, big ol cuddles. Oh cuddling with Gokotai will be angelic, just...so much floofiness and warmth.

This leads to the fact the tigers will straight up do anything for them. Are they crying? Suddenly there’s 15 stolen blankets and several other Awataguchi family members at the door to ask what’s wrong. Are they hungry? KAsen is found screaming at the mess the tigers made as they bring a whole (half eaten) turkey to the saniwa. Gokotai ad the lil saniwa are watching a scary movie and it terrifies them? Well now they gotta buy a new tv because the tigers attacked it to defend them.

Seeing, the lil saniwa being best friends with Gokotai is like getting a new sibling plus 5 new lil pets. It’s just one big ol happy family man.

Kenshin Kagemitsu

“I’m Kenshin Kagemitsu! I do not wish to be taken li-”

“.....”

“I am big brother now”

See, Kenshin will jump at the chance to prove that he can grow up and be a wonderful mature adult. So when he first meets this lil saniwa, he’s oh so giddy! He almost jumps for joy! Of course he stills himself, clearing his throat and properly introducing himself to them, wanting to come ass as mature as possible. It’s obvious in his eyes that he’s excited to get to know them though!

The first thing Kenshin tries to do is almost be like Azuki and Hasebe rolled into one. He’ll try to learn how to cook and clean and even though he has a miniature habit if sleeping in late and Azuki is most often waking him up in the end but Kenshin always wants to try and emulate him. He’ll be found bringing a big ol tray of breakfast of the saniwa and waking them up, yawning while he’s talking to them and denying that he’s tired.

Kenshin is allowed to be a kid rather often, and if Azuki is fond of them too, he’ll spoil them both~! It’s like having a bro and father combo!

This lil kid is always ready to learn new things, and is often found with some kinda new book that he will share with this new Saniwa. He will often be found reading together with them, learning new things! He may be trying to look tough and adult-like, but to do that you need to learn new things!

Kenshin almost tries a little too hard to help the saniwa. He’ll try to stay up a little too late to help them, or to ensure that they go to bed on time. It’s fine to be a kid sometimes, Kenshin! Thus, the lil saniwa sometimes drags him to cuddle, it’s cute as hell, Azuki found taking all of the pictures.

He’ll try to not be swayed by sweets and is often giving his snacks to the lil saniwa. Yes he’ll be envious and puff out his cheeks, claiming he doesn’t want them, but they always share the snacks anyway. No worries.

Going back to the idea that Kenshin tries a little too hard to help the Saniwa, he’ll go to Hasebe or Azuki for help at times, wanting to learn how to do paperwork for the saniwa. Honey, no, not until you understand the words and wtf is happening. THe government is a ho anyway.

Despite all of this, Kenshin is still very much mentally young. He is nervous at times and especially so when going into battle. He does his best and ultimately he comes home with the rest of the swords - running into the arms of the lil saniwa and asking them to praise him - but he won’t lie that he sometimes feels like he isn’t enough for them? More so along the lines he wants to become better and be a better sword for them, I suppose?

Kenshin is actually very easily scared. So whenever there’s thunderstorms or something, he says he isn’t terrified but with the way he’s clinging on to the saniwa or Azuki tells volumes.

Kenshin is just trying his best when it comes to this saniwa. They’re around the same age (mentally?) and Kenshin will automatically want to try to be their elder, to show that he can be depended on too!

hi! may i request friendship headcanons with kenshin and taikogane? after all, kenshin is "blood" related to mitsu, and he and taikogane both were in the same family so i wonder how they would interact?

Actually it's Taikogane that is suppose to be "blood" related to Shokudaikiri! It's rather confusing since they are just swords in the end. But Kenshin's brother is Azuki!

I never really thought of their friendship before but after this ask, my brain was filled with a bunch of fun thoughts!

Friendship with Kenshin Kagemitsu and Taikogane Sadamune

♡ Kenshin is someone who often stays away from the rest of the tantous compared to everyone else. He has such a big need to grow up as fast as he can that in turn he ends up ignoring the people who wish to spend time with him the most.

♡ Out of all the tantous, he probably spends time with Hakata the most since he thinks learning from him will help him seem more adult and independent.

♡ Taikogane, on the other hand, is very close to all the tantous!

♡ He is someone who will never leave anyone behind and try to include everyone in on the fun.

♡ So he quickly notices Kenshin looking at the group with longing to join them but always refusing. At first Taikogane would not push him to come hang out with the group but would offer every time they had plans.

♡ The answer always remained the same and Taikogane looked as his fellow tantou went off like it was his duty to refuse any fun to come his face and only work on improving himself, even though his heart wished for the other result.

♡ He knew that Kenshin would never lean into what his heart truly desired... So he came up with a plan.

♡ Teaming up with his brother, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, and Kenshin's brother, Azuki Nagamitsu, he decided that the four of them were required to make a big cake for Saniwa's birthday.

♡ No one needed to know that Saniwa's birthday was months away...

♡ The kitchen ended up in a mess after they were done. Not because of anything Shokudaikiri or Azuki did... Hell, not even Kenshin. It was all about Taikogane was messing up and sometimes even causing mischief within the team.

♡ Kenshin trying very hard to get everything perfect to impress his brother and saniwa and- oh Taikogane just tripped and now there is sugar all over his perfect cut heart-

♡ Taikogane making a mess everywhere he goes and getting flour on his team, proving that you could work hard but also have fun.

♡ Kenshin always so stressed to do everything perfectly, found himself in a space where that was not something capable to do. Perhaps... Lashing out at Taikogane a little only for him to put a little frosting on Kenshin's nose.

♡ Even if the kitchen atmosphere was intense at times between the two, Kenshin couldn't actually find himself being angry at Taikogane. Rather than himself. Even getting so frustrated at times, they could see tears bubbling in the sides of his eyes as he tried to hide it.

♡ It was at those times, Taikogane would back off and let Azuki comfort his brother since he would know how to best talk him down from the high emotions he did not wish for others to see.

♡ Taikogane would 100% apologize after. He wanted Kenshin to laugh and have fun! Not get so mad and disappointed in himself that he cries.

♡ Taikogane doesn't leave him alone after the first meeting and actually joins him with anything that Kenshin is doing for the day. Be it training, reading, or learning math. Taikogane not the biggest fan of math but that gives him an excuse to ask a lot of questions and make Kenshin feel proud of himself for knowing the answer.

♡ Overtime, the two learn how to communicate better and actually enjoy their time.

♡ Kenshin learns how to be easier on himself and enjoy the time he has now. Realizing it is okay to have fun and he doesn't have to grow up/get strong right away.

♡ Taikogane learns new skills from Kenshin and learns the right balance of being friendly and going over the line where he is being overbearing.

♡ It's a lot of learning from the two but they both learn overtime to develop a strong bond. Often times talking about their brothers to each other and laughing.

Yagen Toushirou is the leader of an organization. Mikazuki Munechika is their loyal second-in-command

‘Genji?’ His gloved fingers play with the flap of the envelope before briskly sliding it open.

‘Considering our history, I’m not particularly fond of striking up an alliance with them. What do you think, Mikazuki?’

His second-in-command only smiles enigmatically before tucking a strand of hair behind his ear. “I’ll defer to your decision on this one, president.”

Yagen pauses in the middle of taking out the letter with small frown. ‘This isn’t why I made you vice-president, you know.’

Mikazuki only nods and pours him a cup of tea, his movements as crisp as his dark blue suit. “Thirsty?”

Yagen waves off the offer and goes back to his letter. Dear President Toushirou, it begins, and details a meticulous alliance proposal between their two companies on the merit of Yagen’s extensive market share and the Genji’s longstanding reputation in the field.

“They’re targeting the Awataguchi Conglomerate, I imagine,” Mikazuki remarks. “It’s been expanding remarkably well over the past three years and now holds majority share in over ten countries.”

‘That’s thanks to Hakata’s business acumen,’ Yagen murmurs, before pointing at the two names at the bottom of the letter. ‘Are these the representatives? Hizamaru and Higekiri?’

“Brothers,” Mikazuki clarifies. “The Genji gave them joint command of their finances, just as the Oda granted you sole command of theirs.”

‘Ah.’ Yagen cups his chin in one hand and leans against the table. ‘So the Minamotos like to put up a pretty front, too.’

Ostensibly, Yagen helped the Oda Clan tend to their financial affairs. In reality, most of the front work was done by his other brothers while he managed a different underground organization in charge of wrangling deals and investing in…shadier parts of the market. To put it politely, it was organized crime done for the sake of the Clan.

“What are your thoughts?” Mikazuki asked calmly.

‘I’d like to hear yours,’ and Yagen shoots him a pointed look before he sighs. ‘As I’ve said, I’m not interested in working with them. Nobunaga-san claims ties with the Taira, and the Minamoto didn’t hesitate to crush them in the past.’

“That was a long time ago.”

‘It’s an outstanding grudge,’ Yagen protests, ‘And both sides are the type to collect on their debts. I’d rather stick with a small and neutral party for stability’s sake–didn’t the Samonjis send us an offer last week?’

“You rejected them because Souza was against it,” Mikazuki reminds gently.

‘So I did…’ Yagen subconsciously reaches for his cup of tea, which Mikazuki nudges towards him until

                                                         he doesn’t.

The next second, the tea cup is flying in the air towards the study door in front of Yagen’s seat even as the boy himself disappears beneath his desk. The porcelain and its liquid contents are sliced neatly in half by the first person to step uninvited through the entrance. 

It’s a silver-haired man in a black suit and tie, an elegant monocle resting over his right eye. Behind him are four other other figures–three tall and one short–flanking the doorway.

“Osafune,” Mikazuki Munechika’s already drawn his own sword and gets into an attacking stance. 

“Not quite.” Daihannya Nagamitsu smiles politely. “Genji, banzai.”

He takes a step forward, and that’s when the floor falls away beneath his feet. As Koryuu Kagemitsu and Azuki Nagamitsu lunge forward to grab his arms and haul him up, Yagen’s table dismantles itself, the wood-metal alloy expanding along the ground like a second skin as it rushes to seal the room shut. Seeing this, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada and Kenshin Kagemitsu step into the barrier before it closes behind him. Here, they can fight without consideration for the environment. Here, they were assured of five on two with no surprise reinforcements rushing in.

‘I suppose the alliance is off if our rivals are already sending their new friends to murder us.’ Yagen slowly rises to his feet in the closed space, tantou in hand and armored to fight. ‘You should change,’ he adds after a glance at Mikazuki still in his Western suit.

“After the first kill,’ the man says placidly.

Yagen lets slip the smallest of pouts. ‘Then you’re paying for the dry cleaning bill.’

“Of course.”

‘You first.’ 

“My pleasure.” Mikazuki turns one ankle and digs a foot into the ground and sprints forward for the first attack. The floor cracks in his wake.

“That second-in-command of the Oda’s president, what do you know about him?”

“Mikazuki Munechika? I heard he’s a senile old man. He forgets what he’s doing half the time, and spends the other half laughing or brewing tea.”

“Really? Why would President Toushirou choose someone like that to serve him, I wonder.”

“He’s a child, he can hardly be expected to make the brightest decisions.”

“I don’t think the Oda Clan would allow him to make such an obvious mistake.”

“Has anyone ever seen him fight?”

“No, never.”

“I suppose we’ll be the first.”

“And the last, heh!”

‘You never ended up changing out of that suit.’

“Hahaha…no, I didn’t after all.”

‘Did you forget? There was enough time, after Nagamitsu fell…’

“I suppose it’s been so long since I’ve worn my battle clothes that I’m more used to this now.”

‘You say that, but no amount of dry cleaning is going to get those bloodstains out.’ Yagen sighs, and rests a hand over Mikazuki’s scarlet-specked sleeve.

‘There’s no helping it.’

‘I’ll just have to buy you a new one.’

“Anija! Bad news, the plan failed!”

“Oh, did they all die already?”

“E-eh? Anija, you knew…?”

“There’s no way that only five swords could take on a full-fledged Tenka Gozen. That man was capable of annihilating entire armies alone in his heyday.”

“Wh–what? Then, why did you–”

“Send the Osafune? To goad him into a fight, of course. And because they weren’t particularly useful to our plans.”

“But…”

“It’s fine. Oda will be on its guard against the Genji now. A few more unprovoked attacks like this will get us exactly where we need. For the glory of our Clan, for the pride of the Minamotos, we cannot fail.”

I actually have a weather request too. XD It's been a strangely hot October, the heat has been near unbearable and the Saniwa thought, since they were done with work early, they could bring some cold water to everyone. Reactions from Mutsu, Tomoegata, Hasebe, and Kenshin pretty please~! ❣️

Honestly, (I feel like absolute trash. AHAHAHAHAHA~~) I’m so sorry for being so inactive guys! It’s been such a trying month. Due to the colleges going on strike for more than a month–I had to play catch up with my school work (I had to write 5 tests in a week once I returned from being away. Right now I’m almost more than half way through the course load. I also really want to keep my 90 average so I can qualify for free tuition next semester).

I’m really sorry again for being gone for so long. I’m honestly surprised I have not yet had a mental break down. Also, I might/might not be online in the next few days because I am starting to have symptoms of a cold and sore throat (It was -15 the other day–and being the idiot that I was–I left my house not dressed for the weather to get to work).

I’m so sorry to Mod Panacke! I’m supposed to be the older one but I have been so busy and inactive, I feel like I have let you down! So sorry! 

Enough of me rambling about life. I have finally (finally) made time to write and hopefully I’ll be able to tackle another request today.

MUTSUNOMKAMI YOSHIYUKI

“Mutsu-san, why don’t you take a moment to rest!”

“ARUJI!”

He immediately perked up and made his way over as soon as he heard your voice

…Even if it was 50 meters away from where you were standing

You pat his shoulder as he engulfed you in a big hug, not particularly minding that his clothes had a few spots where dirt had been smeared from working in the fields

You gently give Izuminokami and Kashuu a small wave as they slowly make their way over, looking  a bit annoyed that Mutsunokami was easily able to establish skinship with you

You slowly bend down to the tray you had placed on the ground prior to calling the group over

A rather large plate of Onigiri and Mochi was perched on the tray as well as three cups of freshly brewed tea was staring your charges in the face before you choose to spoke up

“I’m sure you must be tired from working in the fields. Why not have a small snack?”

“Thanks Aruji!”

If you have not seen Katsugeki then you should have an idea about how happy this sword would be when eating….

And a bigger grin would be plastered on his face if Aruji decided to keep him and a few others company

Can you imagine Kashuu stuffing his face with food, looking slightly sullen as you served Mutsu more food. LOL

You spending time with them no matter how busy your schedule says a lot and that you care for their well being

After snacks, the group would pick up on where they left off work, returning to the field as you cleaned up

“Thanks Aru–” Kashuu started but was immediately interrupted by the energetic Uchigatana beside him

“Thanks for the snacks, Aruji!!” Mutsunokami yelled from the field

“You’re very welcome!” You laugh while waving away at the group as you make your way to the kitchens to bring the dirty dishes

In your peripheral sight, you can see the two swords from the Shinsengumi surrounding their unsuspecting comrade before placing him in a chokehold

“A-ah! Hey! What’s going on!?”

“You’re acting too close to Aruji!”

“We couldn’t even have a conversation with Master because you kept talking even with your mouth full!”

“It’s both your own fault you didn’t speak up!!”

“Why you-!?”

“I won’t let you monopolize Aruji!!”

TOMOEGATA NAGINATA

You yawned openly and slumped over your desk, not caring about the papers that begun to crumple underneath

To hell with your supervisor for sending you all this work…They can wait! After they made you wait for supplies last month!

You eventually turn your head and noticed Tomoe who had been assigned as your secretary that day and was working on various documents

For a few minutes, you noticed the taller man looking a little tired than usual and it made you slightly worry…

It was quite hot that day and you have not seen the Naginata even take a sip of water since he had started working hours ago.

Also, He’s been rubbing at his eyes since the past hour…

He’s probably feeling sluggish because of the heat as well…

You silently checked your schedule and noticed that you didn’t have a vacant spot but still decided that a break was in order

Surely, Tomoe must be tired and hungry at this point

Silently, you got up and walked over to the nearby table that housed a pitcher of water and a single glass

Usually, you were the only one working in the office and that explained why there was only one cup

You immediately poured a good amount and made your way over to Tomoe, gently placing the glassware in front of him

“I think you should take a break for a little bit Tomoe…” You begin and push the glass towards him. “I haven’t seen you drink anything and it’s pretty hot out.”

“T-there’s no need Master…” The bespectacled man mumbled as you returned your desk to open a drawer which was filled with some prepackaged snacks.

“Catch!” You toss the older man a pack of Pocky before opening a pack for yourself and settling back behind your desk. “Take a break Tomoe…I don’t want you getting a headache and a heatstroke. No buts!”

“T-thank you Aruji.” You smiled softly as you returned to your work for a few minutes and at the same time having a few ocassional bites of your own food

After an hour or so, you finally look up and see Tomoe’s head lowered on the desk and you assumed that the poor man had fallen asleep …not that you would blame him

The Naginata had always been a bit stubborn like Hasebe but he was a good individual who tried his best to serve you

Standing up, you walk over to the mounted fan and made sure that the breeze reached the sleeping man before resuming your work

HESHIKIRI HASEBE

First of all, What makes you think he’ll let you serve him?

More than half the inhabitants of the Citadel had stripped down into a plain white shirt or otherwise had remained shirtless

…And because of that, you had decided to just stay in your office since it was quite…for lack of a better word, dangerous…

The only sword that remained dressed appropriately–like in his full battle outfit even with the sweltering heat–was Hasebe

You were low-key a bit disappointed that the Uchigatana remained fully clothed…Hey, a girl can dream…Right?

The two of you were working in comfortable silence and had shared a pitcher of water while sitting across each other

Occasionally, the brunette would take sips of water, conscious of the amount he was drinking in front of you

You, on the other hand, could care less…If you were given the chance, you probably would have hiked up your skirt well above the appropriate length

At some point, you had gotten so sluggish that you reached for the nearest filled glass and gulped it’s contents without a second thought

You didn’t even notice the Uchigatana’s wide eyes until you placed the now empty glass down

You blink at Hasebe covering half his mouth with his face burning

“Hasebe, Are you alright?”

“…A-Aruji…The glass.”

“Huh?”

“T-That was my glass…”

A second passed and you could feel embarrassment creeping into the cracks of your soul and you immediately covered your face

You had actually drank from Hasebe’s glass…which is equal to indirectly kissing him….indirect or no, you still kissed him…

“I-I’m sorry! I-I’ll grab you a different glass-!” You get up abruptly and Hasebe tried to calm you down.

“No,no…It’s alright, Aruj–” The warrior was interrupted when the pitcher of water accidentally toppled to the side and it’s contents spilled over you secretary.

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry, Hasebe!”

You were about to take out your handkerchief when you realized that the water had made his undershirt see through…

You could not pry your gaze off the man as he slipped off his button down shirt and you could barely hear his voice as he spoke

Who could blame you?? It’s so rare to see Heshikiri Hasebe half dressed…These are the moments that you live for anyway…

“E-erhm…Aruji…”

You finally snapped out of your thoughts and scrambled to go get Hasebe a towel from the cupboard, too embarrassed to face him

“I’m sorry! I’ll be back Hasebe!”

Instead of you giving him a glass of water, you basically gave him a refreshing shower in your office…

It seemed that YOU needed that glass of water instead…Cough* Thirsty ArujiTM

KENSHIN KAGEMITSU

The young boy was seated in one of the rooms facing the courtyard, watching a few of his fellow Tantous playing

“Mhm. Go right ahead.”

“E-erm…Alright, J-just a bit. then” The Tantou smiled faintly as he gratefully opened the small bag while reaching for the glass of water, tilting his head towards you in a small bow. “Thank you.”

For a few moments, you and the small warrior remained quiet as you watched a few others were passing along the scenery, occasionally having you and Kenshin a wave.

“Did you finish all your work, Aruji?” Your little companion inquired as you took out the fan you had tucked into your obi

“Yes. I was just making my rounds but it’s just too hot to be walking around.” You sighed as you began to fan yourself gently nudged the Tantou to move closer to you.
