Hi max! I saw that you watched hazbin! What are your thoughts on the finale?

honestly it was quite feel-good and really cute! you could definitely tell the people behind it cared about the characters and story very genuinely, and that there was a lot of passion in it.

it really made me wish they'd had a much longer season so that we'd actually had time for like... any sort of breathing room, or real tension, or time for the audience to truly grow invested in the characters and storyline (as ive said before, most of the plot beats feel like payoff for something that was never built up... making it just constantly kind of anti-climactic?).

but really i feel like this finale was the show's strong point-- even though i have my many many qualms with the writing, the emotions in the last bit really make you get what they were going for. if they'd been able to do a much longer season with more time for investment, build up, and payoff, i truly feel it could have been one of the best shows in our recent history; the concept they were working with was incredibly good, and it had so much potential for amazing character study. i could see myself being very obsessed with this had it run for much longer with some better execution.

and the animation, good lord. the whole thing was just a treat for the eyes. very smooth and beautiful, and once again the passion radiates off it. sir pentious is the perfect character.

overall i'd give it a 7/10!
