☆{The Elite.}☆
{Rating: Smut.}
{Warnings: Poly relationship, Kissing, Dom/Sub dynamic, Overstimulation, Forced Orgasms, Mainly Dom!Kenny and Dom!Nick. Matt is a switch, Fem!Reader, Collar, Fingering, Unprotected Sex..}
{Pairing: The Elite (Kenny And the bucks) x Sub!Fem!Reader}
–––––––––––——– ⛤ ——–––––—––———
Your were... suffice to say, an accomplice of The Elite. You never mentioned it. You couldn't even speak of how you got your job. The unforgettable night...
Everyone in AEW always asked how you got a spot as a Manager.
But you had to follow the rule Nick and Matt told you. "No One Knows"
It seemed they didn't follow their own rule too much though, as they'd occasionally crotch crop in their entrance and turn to camera.
Mouthing the words 'ya like what you see Y/N?'
Holy shit... they had you super heated up sometimes.
The only reason you never appeared alongside them though. Is because of your special necklace and Collar..
That or you were busy. Because Kenny would force you to cockwarm. As you struggled for friction. Wanting to move. But the leash in Kenny's Hand would bring you back to reality
"F..Fuck... Please... let me move..." You begged
"Have you been good enough? Or should I make you wait for Matt and Nick? So we can all fuck you senseless over your desk?" Kenny asked
You chose the latter. To just wait it out, their match wouldn't be too long. Since they were fighting some local jobbers. You knew the match was over when the hit the BTE trigger.
They hurried backstage, Walking into your office. Kenny immediately put you over the desk.
"Which one of you wants to go first?" Kenny spoke coldly.
Matt nodded, which meant he wanted firsties.
Which didn't go down too good.
You were begging for mercy at the 8th orgasm of the night. 7 of them being forced.
Your body was going to collapse if they didn't ease up. But Kenny persisted in fucking you silly.
Of course he was always doing that. His dumbafiction Kink was put in overdrive hearing you beg for more and more.
Nick was also contributing, fucking your throat raw.
Matt eventually realized you couldn't take it anymore. He was the only one to ever stay in his ring gear. Since he only used his fingers.
He felt bad and told Kenny and Nick. They didn't care. Until you physically couldn't stand up.
★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~★~
Matt was there for you, he has to help you stand up.
"What the actual fuck Nicholas? And you too Kenny. She can't even stand! Why the fuck did you do this?" Matt spoke
Matt quickly got you dressed and carried you out of the arena to his car. Putting you in the backseat since you wanted to sleep.
"Hey.. Adam? Is it okay if I bring Y/N to your house for the night? Nick and Kenny exhausted her and she can't even stand." Matt said to Hangman on the other side of the phone
"Uhm, sure.. I'll be waiting at the door for ya m'kay?" Hangman said
"Okay, I'll be over shortly. Because she's out like a light. Just asleep on the backseat. I'm sure Kenny and Nick will realize what they did in the morning and apologize to her."
Matt then hung up the phone and left the parking lot.
You were fast asleep, exhausted after the 8 forced orgasms and 1 actual one. From Matt.
You had to call off your relationship with Nick and Kenny. It was clear Matt was the one who cared about you.
But it was scary because Nick would use Matt to find you.
But you couldn't care. You had to break up. Because your body couldn't take much more of the abuse.
You had a hoarse voice all the time because of Nick, And you couldn't sit still because of Kenny.
You had to do it.. you had to be strong...
So when the next day arrived and you told them you just wanted to date Matt.
Everything got heated and shouting occurred. Your older brother Hangman stepped in though to save you. And told them it was your choice of who you wanted to date.
Nick and Kenny were fuming but there wasn't time since they had a match to fight in.
★~★~◆~◆~★~◆~◆~★~◆~★~◆~★~◆~★~
You eventually told Matt what you did. And he was quite happy. Since usually during those "meetings" he'd only get 30 minutes with you.
But watching you fuck yourself on his fingers the first night of your relationship made him happy enough for life.
He was glad you finally broke free of the grasp Kenny had forced upon you.

January 2016
Kenny and a French streamer named Jade met at a gaming convention in New York, where Jade was competing in a video game tournament. She was also a professional gamer and had been practicing for months in order to be at her best.
As Kenny walked around the convention floor, he couldn't help but notice Jade. He watched as she competed in the tournament, impressed by her skill and determination. Kenny had already heard of Jade before the gaming convention. She was well-known in the gaming world for her skill and dedication. So when he saw her competing in a tournament at the convention, he couldn't resist introducing himself.
As he walked up to her, he noticed her bright blue eyes and petite, athletic figure. She was a brunette with a warm smile and a passion for gaming that was clear to see. And Jade was immediately struck by Kenny's tall, muscular build and his bright blue eyes.
After her tournament, Jade was signing autographs for her fans. Kenny gathered the courage to walk over and introduce himself.
"Hi, I'm Kenny," he said, extending his hand.
"Hi, I'm Jade," she replied, shaking his hand. "It's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too," Kenny replied, smiling.
As they talked, they quickly realized that they had a lot in common. They both loved gaming and were passionate about their careers.
"I'm a professional gamer and a streamer on Twitch. I compete in tournaments all over the world. I'm originally from France … I mean; I think you can tell by the accent." She laughed.
Kenny was impressed by Jade's career. "That's so cool. I've heard of you before. You're really talented."
Jade blushed again. "Thank you, Kenny. That's very kind of you to say. And you, what do you do in your life?”
"I'm a professional wrestler," Kenny said. "I wrestle all over the world, especially in Japan but I'm originally from Canada."
"Wow, that sounds amazing. I used to watch WWE when I was younger but I stopped … like, 10 years ago." Jade replied.
“Oh, really? Who was your favorite wrestler?" Kenny asked.
"That's a tough question," Jade said, thinking for a moment. "I was a big fan of Jeff Hardy. He was such a unique and talented wrestler, and I loved the way the way he took risks in the ring. What about you?"
"My favorite wrestler is probably Shawn Michaels. I've always admired his dedication and commitment to the sport, and the way he's able to bring a level of drama and intensity to every match." He answered, with a big smile on his face.
Kenny couldn't resist asking Jade out on a date. He gathered the courage to ask, and to his delight, she said yes. From that moment on, they knew that they had something special. They spent the rest of the convention talking and laughing, and they knew that they had found something special in each other. They exchanged numbers and made plans to see each other again as soon as possible. They both left the convention feeling excited and hopeful about their future together. Kenny had never felt a connection like the one he had with Jade. From the moment they met at the gaming convention in New York, he knew there was something special about her.
As they spent more time together, Kenny was struck by Jade's intelligence; he loved how she always had a quick wit and a clever answer, and how she could hold her own in any conversation. He found her intelligence and curiosity about the world endlessly fascinating.
Kenny came to love Jade's sense of humor even more. She had a great ability to see the funny side of things and could always make him laugh, no matter how bad the day had been.
He loved her dedication to her craft. She was a professional gamer and took her career very seriously, how passionate she was about gaming and how she always strove to be the best that she could be but she also had a fun-loving side that he found irresistible.
Kenny was also impressed by Jade's kindness and compassion. She was always there for her friends and loved ones, and she had a way of making everyone around her feel special.
And of course, he loved her beauty. Kenny always thought Jade was incredibly attractive. He loved her bright blue eyes and her bright smile, which always seemed to light up a room. In addition to her physical attractiveness, Kenny also loved the way Jade carried herself. She was confident and poised, and she always seemed to radiate an inner strength and beauty. He admired her grace and elegance, and he found her incredibly alluring.
Kenny always loved the fact that Jade was French. He found the French culture and language to be very romantic and elegant, and he enjoyed learning more about it. He enjoyed trying new French foods and learning more about the country's history and customs.
In addition to being fascinated by French culture, Kenny also loved the way Jade spoke French. In addition to finding her accent attractive, Kenny also enjoyed listening to Jade speak English with her accent because it reminded him of their cultural differences and how they had come together as a couple. He found it to be a beautiful representation of their relationship and the way they had been able to bridge the gap between their two cultures.
Kenny always found Jade's French accent to be captivating. He found her accent to be very attractive and he loved listening to her speak the language. He enjoyed the way her words rolled off her tongue and the way her accent added a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to her voice. In addition to finding her accent attractive, Kenny also loved the way Jade spoke French in general.
He also enjoyed trying to speak French himself and made an effort to learn more about the language. He enjoyed talking with her in French and tried to improve his own skills.
As they continued to date and spend time together, Kenny realized he was falling in love with Jade. He couldn't imagine his life without her and knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her by his side. He decided to tell her how he felt.
One evening, Kenny and Jade were sitting on the couch, cuddled up together as they watched their favorite movie. As the credits rolled, Kenny turned to Jade and took a deep breath.
"Jade, I have something I need to tell you," he said, his heart beating in his chest. "I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I just can't hold it in anymore. I'm in love with you, Jade. You're the most amazing person I've ever met and I can't imagine my life without you. You make me so happy and I feel so lucky to have you in my life."
Jade looked at Kenny with tears in her eyes, her heart overflowing with love and emotion. "I love you too, Kenny," she said, taking his hand in hers.
Kenny wrapped his arms around Jade and held her close, feeling grateful and blessed to have found such an incredible person. "I promise to always love you, Jade," he said. "I'll do everything in my power to make you happy and to be the best partner I can be. You mean the world to me."
Jade smiled up at Kenny, "I know you will, Kenny," she said. "And I'll always be here for you, no matter what life throws our way.” And with that, they sat there together, wrapped in each other's arms, knowing that they had found something truly special.
Kenny was deeply in love with Jade. He was fascinated by her bubbly personality and intelligence. He admired her passion for video games and was always impressed by her determination to succeed.
When they were together, Kenny felt completely at ease and happy. He enjoyed spending time with Jade and treasured every moment with her. He loved showing her how much she meant to him and took care of her in the most affectionate way possible.
Even when they were separated for weeks or months due to their busy schedules, Kenny couldn't forget about Jade. He often thought of her and dreamed of moments when they could be reunited again. When they finally got back together, Kenny was more in love than ever and determined to spend the rest of his life with Jade.

Septembre 2018
Kenny and Jade were sitting in front of their computers, talking via video call. Kenny was in Japan, preparing for a wrestling match and Jade was in France, participating in the ZEvent 2018 charity event.
"Hey, how's Japan?" Jade asked, smiling at Kenny on the screen.
"It's going well," Kenny said. "I'm just trying to focus on the match. It's a big one." Kenny replied, smiling back at her. "I miss you, though. I wish you were here with me."
"I miss you too," Jade said, feeling a pang of sadness at the thought of being apart from Kenny. "I can't wait to see you again. "
"But I can't stop thinking about you." Whispered Kenny
"Aww, that's so sweet," Jade said, feeling her heart flutter at Kenny's words.
"I wish I could be there with you, doll …. Tell me, how's the charity event going?"
"It's going great," Jade replied. "We've already raised a lot of money for a good cause. But I can't wait to see you again.”
"I'm so proud of you for being part of the ZEvent," Kenny said. "It's such a great cause and I know you're making a difference. You're always doing something to help others, and I love that about you."
Jade blushed at the compliment. "Thank you, Kenny. You always know how to make me feel special. You're such a kind and caring person, and I love that about you too."
"I just want to make you happy," Kenny said, looking into Jade's eyes through the screen. "You mean the world to me. I wish I could just teleport to France right now and hold you in my arms."
"I wish that too," Jade said, feeling her heart skip a beat at the thought of being with Kenny.
"I can't wait to see you again and finally be able to hug you in person," Kenny said, feeling a longing in his chest as he thought about being with Jade. "Video calls are great, but they can't replace the real thing."
"I know, it's hard being apart from each other," Jade said, feeling the same longing. "But at least we have each other's love to keep us going. And we'll be together soon enough."
"I can't wait," Kenny said, smiling at Jade. "I miss your smell, your touch, your voice, everything about you. I can’t wait."
"I miss that too," Jade said, feeling the same longing. "But we'll be together soon enough.
When will you be back in France?"
"I'll be back in a few days," Kenny said. "I can't wait to see you and spend some time together. I miss you so much. Forever and Always, my love"
"Always and Forever, Ken," Jade said, feeling a warmth in her chest as she looked at Kenny's face on the screen. "We'll make up for lost time when you're back."
As they said goodbye and ended the call, both Kenny and Jade couldn't wait to see each other again and finally be able to be together in person.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Decembre 2018,
As the days went by and Kenny's relationship with Jade became more and more complicated, he couldn't help but feel a sense of doubt and uncertainty. It had been four months since they had last seen each other in person, and they were struggling to find even a few moments to talk on video call.
But now, as he sat and watched Jade's streams from the other side of the world, Kenny couldn't help but feel a sense of distance and disconnection between them. He missed Jade deeply and wished more than anything that they could be together again, but he wasn't sure if that was still possible.
He had been so busy with his wrestling schedule that he barely had time to talk to her, let alone see her in person. And as he watched her on the screen, he knew that their relationship was suffering because of it. Kenny sighed, feeling a heavy weight in his chest. He loved Jade more than anything in the world, but he knew that their busy schedules were tearing them apart.
Despite their best efforts, Kenny and Jade seemed to be drifting further and further apart.
As Kenny's doubts and fears about his relationship with Jade grew, he couldn't help but wonder if their break-up was inevitable. He loved Jade deeply and wanted more than anything to be with her, but he wasn't sure if their relationship was strong enough to survive the distance and the challenges they were facing, or if it was doomed to fail.
He couldn't help but feel a sense of pain and suffering deep inside. The thought of a break-up was almost too much to bear, and he couldn't imagine his life without Jade by his side.
For Kenny, it had always been clear that Jade was his soulmate. From the moment they met at the gaming convention, he had felt an instant connection with her, and he knew that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Despite the deep love that Kenny and Jade had for each other, their relationship had become increasingly distant over time … he couldn't help but wonder if it was time to let it go.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
 January 2019
Kenny and Jade faced a difficult decision. Their busy schedules were causing a lot of strain on their relationship. Kenny was constantly on tour for his wrestling matches, and Jade was spending long hours in front of her webcam streaming.
Despite their deep love for each other, they knew they couldn't keep going like this. They reluctantly decided to break up, believing it was the best thing for their careers. It was a painful decision for both of them, and they were heartbroken to be apart.
Jade and Kenny sat side by side on the couch, their hearts heavy and filled with sadness. They had spent hours talking about their difficult situation and had finally made the decision to break up.
"I can't believe we're at this point," said Jade, tears streaming down her face.
"It feels like everything we've built is crumbling beneath us."
"I know it's hard, darling," said Kenny, taking her hand. "But we both have dreams and professional goals that require a lot of time and energy. We have to think about our future."
"I know, you're right," said Jade, wiping away her tears. "It's so hard for us to find time for each other with our schedules. I miss you so much and it's torture not being able to be with you."
"But it doesn't make this any easier. It feels like my heart is breaking into a million pieces."
"I feel the same way," said Kenny, squeezing her hand. "But we have to be strong and do what's best for us. Maybe we can get back together later, once we've achieved our dreams." Jade nodded, tears still rolling down her cheeks.
"I don't want to lose you, Kenny. You're the most important person in my life."
"I believe in us too, doll," said Kenny, determination filling his voice. "We've been through so much together and we can make it through this too. We'll find a way to make it work, even if it means being apart for a little while." He said, with a small smile forming on his lips.
"You're right. We can do this. And when we finally get back together, it'll be that much more special and meaningful." said Jade, wiping away her tears.
"I can't wait for that day to come," said Kenny, leaning in to hug Jade. "I love you, Kenny. Always and Forever."
"I love you too, Jade," said Kenny, hugging Jade tightly. "Forever and Always."
As they hugged each other, both Kenny and Jade couldn't help but feel a deep sense of sadness and loss. Despite their love for each other, they knew that their relationship was facing some serious challenges and that they needed to take a break to focus on their individual goals.
It was a difficult and emotional conversation, but they both knew that it was the most sensible decision to make. They hugged each other tightly and cried together, knowing that their life together was about to change forever.
As they said their final goodbyes and went their separate ways, Kenny and Jade couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them. They both hoped that one day they would be able to find their way back to each other.
Kenny was devastated when he and Jade decided to break up. He loved her deeply and couldn't imagine his life without her. The thought of being apart from her was unbearable, and he struggled to come to terms with their decision.
Despite his heartache, Kenny knew he had to be strong for Jade. He wanted her to be able to pursue her dreams and succeed in her career, even if it meant they had to be apart. He tried to be supportive and understanding, even though it was incredibly difficult.
During their time apart, Kenny missed Jade terribly. He thought about her constantly and longed to be reunited with her.
Despite the pain and heartache, they knew that they had to be strong and do what was best for them. The decision to end their relationship was one of the hardest she had ever had to make, and she struggled to come to terms with it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
May 2019
It had been a five months since Kenny and Jade had broken up, and Kenny was still feeling the pain of losing the woman he loved. He had not seen Jade in person for five months, and he was longing for her more and more each day.
As Kenny sat and thought about his relationship with Jade, he couldn't help but feel a sense of regret and longing. But at the same time, Kenny also couldn't help but think about all the problems and challenges they had faced as a couple. They had both been so busy with their careers and commitments, and it had been hard for them to find time to be together.
Kenny knew that he had made mistakes in their relationship, and he wished he could go back and do things differently. One of the things that weighed heavily on his mind was the fact that he had not made enough of an effort to see Jade more often. He had been so caught up in his own work and commitments that he had not prioritized their relationship as much as he should have.
Kenny couldn't stop thinking about all the good times they had shared together, from their first meeting at the gaming convention to their sweet moments of affection and tenderness. He missed Jade's smile, her laugh, and the way she always knew how to make him feel special.
But most of all, Kenny missed the way Jade made him feel when they were together. She brought out the best in him and made him feel like he could conquer the world. She had been his rock and his support, and he missed her more than words could say.
As the days went by, Kenny found himself reaching for his phone to call Jade or send her a message, only to remember that they were no longer together. It was a painful realization that made his heart ache with longing and regret.
Sometimes, Kenny found himself going to Jade's stream just to see her face and hear her voice. He missed her so much, and being able to see her and watch her play games brought him a small measure of comfort.
Jade always looked so happy and focused when she was streaming, and Kenny couldn't help but smile and feel proud of her as he watched her. He loved seeing her in her element, and he missed being able to talk to her and support her as she played.
But at the same time, watching Jade's stream also made Kenny feel a sense of sadness and longing. He missed being able to be with her and share those moments together, and he wished more than anything that they could be together again.
Despite the pain of their separation, Kenny couldn't help but be drawn to Jade and her stream. Even though they were apart, Kenny knew that he would always love Jade and that she would always hold a special place in his heart. He hoped that one day they would be able to find their way back to each other, and that they could rebuild their relationship and create new memories together.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Septembre 2019
As Kenny watched Jade's stream of the ZEvent 2019 charity event, tears streaming down his face as he watched Jade on the screen. He couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions.
On the one hand, he couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and longing as he watched her from afar. He had always been so proud of her, and he knew that she was an incredible gamer. But now, as he sat alone in his hotel room in Japan, he couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for her. The last time the ZEvent had taken place; Kenny and Jade were still a couple.
On the other hand, he was so proud of her for all that she had accomplished, and he knew that she was making a difference in the world. He knew that Jade was an amazing person with a big heart, and he was so proud of her for being a part of such a wonderful event and helping to raise money for a good cause.
It had been nine months since they had taken a break in their relationship, and he missed her more than words could describe. He wished that he could be there with her, supporting her in person.
Kenny felt a sense of pride as Jade and her friends broke the Twitch record at the Zevent 2019 by collecting 3,510,682 € over three days of non-stop streams for a charitable organization. enny watched Jade's stream with pride and was amazed at the amount of money they were able to raise for a good cause.
He knew that Jade was passionate about using her platform to make a difference in the world. Kenny couldn't help but feel a deep love and admiration for Jade as he watched her work tirelessly to make a positive impact.
So, he sent her a message telling her how proud he was of her.
Kenny took a deep breath and gathered all his courage as he typed out a message to Jade. He knew that reaching out to her might be a risk, but he couldn't bear the thought of not telling her how he felt.
He wrote:
"Hey, just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you for the Zevent 2019. Watching your stream at the Zevent 2019 and seeing the amazing work you and the other streamers did for charity was truly inspiring. The amount of money you raised is mind-blowing, and it's all thanks to your hard work and dedication. You're such an amazing person. I know haven’t talked since our break-up. But seeing you out there, doing something so selfless and making such a positive impact on the world, it reminds me of why I fell in love with you in the first place. You're such an inspiration, Jade. I hope you know that. And I hope you know how much you still mean to me. You're amazing! I can't wait to see what you accomplish next. Forever and Always."
So he took a deep breath and typed out his message, pouring all of his love and admiration into his words. It was a difficult message to send, but Kenny knew that it was something he had to do. As he hit send, Kenny couldn't help but feel a mix of nervousness and hope. He didn't know how Jade would react to his message. But in the end, it was worth it. He wanted Jade to know how much she meant to him, and how proud he was of all that she had accomplished. Kenny hoped that his message would bring them a step closer to healing their relationship and finding their way back to each other.

EVERYONE, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND READ! THIS IS FUCKIN AMAZING!!!
can i request, Lightly kissing on top of a freshly formed bruise, for hangmega?
Talk to me (talk to me, talk to me)
Wordcount: 4771 words Ship: Hangkenny Triggers: self harm, Negative self talk, Implied/refrenced alcoholism, blood, implied/refrenced past relationship, panic attacks, throwing up/puking READ ON AO3
Adam really isn't sure if it's his blood that he can taste dripping down from his lips as he lays in the middle of the ring, breathing heavily and swallowing the heat from the lights as his lips part. He swallows, thick and heavy and he follows the feeling of the blood twisting its way between the gap in his teeth. On his knees, he spits at Kenny's feet, watching how the lights glitter in the small spreading pool of redness.
The lights burn when they catch Adam's eyes, filtering through a tangled mess of hair like sun peaking through the gaps of trees; he breathes, hands on his knees as Kenny's fingers knot between his matted curls. He gasps and the crowd follows suit, gazing at him as Kenny drags Adam to his feet, leaning against the ropes. He feels the side of Kenny's hand jab between his chest and it feels like Kenny is trying to dig through the fat on his chest to dig blunt nails into Adam's ribs. Pain skates from the splitting skin and Adam almost finds it ironic in a way, Kenny; a God in the eyes of many, a burning star in the eyes one, trying to carve himself anew from the bones of someone he reduced to ashes a long time ago.
Adam ignores the biblical aspect of the moment to soak in the pain, letting it twist like veins over a gravestone as he gazes up at Kenny as he knees and chops, all frantic and unprepared and as he sinks his teeth the curve of Adam's forehead, he thinks about how rabid coyotes fight because they know they're dying. He growls through the pain, hands digging into Kenny's shoulders and he shoves, harder than what he meant too because Kenny goes tumbling through the heavy air, arms reaching upwards towards nothing until he crashes against the floor outside with a thud that makes Adam flinch inward. The crowd, faceless and painfully quiet stare in nervous excitement as Kenny screws his face up, hand grabbing at his shoulder.
Adam knows it's his time, that he could get an upper hand. He shakes his head, letting the guilt sink down his throat as he climbs the ropes, feet in perfect timing with Kenny and Adam falls after Kenny, not looking to see if he'll catch him. He lands on Kenny; stomachs pressed together, knees colliding into the side of Kenny's chest and Adam ignores how familiar it must feel for Kenny; to have someone he once loved fall through the sky, giving him everything apart from the gentleness that he has been so starved of. Adam shoves his hair out his eyes and grins, breathes through the pain like a panic attack and his feet shift, unsteady but focused.
The wood of the table is cold under his fingertips, the metal creaks just a little as Adam pulls the legs up feels the satisfying pop in his hands and he turns the table, looking over his shoulder to glare at Kenny; on his knees blinking up at Adam almost, like for once, Adam is worthy of being looked at. He breathes in the taste of sweat and copper, drags his fingers carefully across the end of the table and he walks back to Kenny, he stares at him, breathing through his teeth as he hurls him up onto his shoulders, legs dangling either side of his shoulders and Adam pretends that the red on his face is from the heat of the lights, and not the burning of memories floating through his head like a steady stream.
The table folds around Kenny like bones, sharp edges press into his shoulders drawing blood from his back and Adam spits blood at his feet again, finally the angel has fallen; man-made wings lay discarded, no longer a part of his body. Kenny winces again and opens his eyes slowly, eyelashes gluing together until the last moment when blue eyes, dark and unfocused glare up at Adam, tracing the twitching muscles in his back as he climbs back into the ring.
There's something almost sick about the way that Adam stares down at Kenny,  tongue pressed deep into the corner of his lips. He thinks about his next move, about the aching in his chest and the pain that tangles itself around the base of his spine like a vine. He squeezes his hands tight, locks his fingers between one another and squeezes as hard as he can and the pain almost feels like praying, that the ache is something holy just under Adam's skin; his sweat holy water that bathes him in a sinful desire of hurt, of aching, of meaning.
Kenny crawls back into the ring, barely beating the ten count and Adam feels his heart flip in his chest, the sound of heartstrings pinging back into place like guitar strings finally tightened back into place. Kenny's fingertips grace across Adam's ankle and it almost burns. Almost.
He gathers Kenny onto his knees and then onto his feet, before settling him on his shoulders again but Kenny swats and drags blunt nails across the curve of Adams eyes and the sting is enough for Adam to lose his grip and he feels Kenny lift him onto his shoulders and drive him onto the mat, and there's a few seconds where Adam wonders if Kenny is seeing him as someone else. He digs at Kenny's thighs and he feels his legs shift off his shoulders and as Kenny breathes, wiping sweat from his eyes, Adam knows that for a few seconds he morphed into a ghost that still has Kenny's heart firmly between its fingers.
He watches how Kenny wobbles on his feet, mouth open as he tries to gasp in the chill in the air and Adam knows he could win, that all it takes is just to hit Kenny once more but something settles in his stomach like a stone and it drags his tummy down until it sits at the base of his boots, He wanders slowly towards the apron and stands there watching how Kenny paces, swinging his fists like hes trying to find someone that isn't there anymore; he bares his teeth and throws a punch into the air that Adam almost wonders if it was really meant for him. He shakes his head, eyes catching the flash of fabric down the apron and fear crawls slowly up his spine.
The Bucks stare at him and he stares back, nervousness crossing his face. Matt leans against Nick, hand digging into the corner of his patterned shirt almost like his baby brother is holding him up, holding him together and Adam feels ember of anger flicker just under his tongue; he wants to scream that this doesn't concern Matt or Nick, that this isn't their fight to win. They lost Adam long before Kenny believed they did and now isn't the time for reconciliation but he stays silent and stares, hands gripping at the ropes.
Matt looks at Nick and it's enough of a conversation for them to part, separating themselves like birds being thrown from the nest. Nick stumbles over to Adam's side, cautiously and Adam can only focus on the sound of his breathing and the scratching of Nick's sneakers across the stained padded canvas that hover below Adam; a dark abyss of safety that Adam questions just if Nick will force him to see.
He feels Nick's nails itch against the canvas, gathering flood under the chipped corners and Adam feels the embers sizzle on his tongue, extinguished by the kindness and apology that glows in the blue of Nick's eyes. They squint just a little in the corner under the bright lights and Adam feels his lips split apart in the attempt to do anything other than gasp in tired breaths as he stares at Nick, feet soldered to the metal bar under the thin apron.
Nick smiles, it's small and fleeting and raw; it's meant only for Adam and as he glances over his shoulder at the World title sitting so perfectly behind Don's shoulder, everything makes sense. Kenny wobbles hopelessly in the ring while Matt stares, brown eyes filled with emotions. It hurts Adam just enough to shift his eyes back to Nick, who nods.
It's such a simple action, muscles tensing and relaxing in Nick's neck but its enough to start a fire under Adam's feet and he leaps over the top rope, letting his arm collide with Kenny's throat. "Stay!" Adam gasps into the gap between Kenny's head and the ring canvas, quiet enough that it feels like a prayer; something holy for the fallen angel and the man cursed from the day he was born.
Kenny doesn't answer Adam's prayer, he twists his shoulder weakly over to the side and Adam stares into the lights for what feels like forever, teeth gnashing and sneering at the bright lights until Don's reflection leans over him and blocks out the light and Adam feels himself snap.
Something comes back, hatred or secondhand fear and Adam feels it chill like a second skin over his arms. He slams split fists square into Don's jaw and the scream that he emits as he tumbles onto the floor feels heavenly, Adam gasps and heaves out a tired chuckle as his body starts to cramp.
He's running out of oxygen, his body breaks down its fat as Adam stares at Matt, and he nods, eyes flooded with begging. And it's enough. Kenny doesn't kick out of Adam's second lariat. He simply lays there; broken and free. The crowd erupts around them and Adam presses his forehead against Kenny's shoulder, rubbing the embers of blood across his tacky skin. "Thank you.." Adam whispers, feeling Kenny's fingers dig into the fat of his hip and as someone taps the curve of Adam's shoulder blade, he rocks back onto his knees and breathes out a sob.
The title still has Kenny's name on it when Adam gets back to his hotel room long after the match has finished. The Dark Order have long since gone back to their own rooms, smiling as Adam promises that he'll sleep soon. He tries but something still burns under his skin, making his very veins melt under his aching muscles. He prods at the bruises that builds on his shoulder, presses the curve of his blunt nails in the fresh stitches on his chin, pokes at the slice through his eyebrow and the pain only adds to the stinging; Adam feels his arteries melt, blood drizzling slowly over his muscles, carving them down like a waterfall cascading over rocks. His chest heaves with the lack of oxygen and Adam rocks forwards, pressing his head between his temples hard enough that they pulse between his fingers, faster and faster until Adam is trying to claw them out from the sides of his head; yanking at frizzing blond curls just to feel anything.
He feels almost guilty for how his hands tremble; he should feel happy. He won. He's going home, there should be so much joy that floods his sleep deprived mind but as he stares, following the curve of the gold, the sweat stains on the leather, he feels like nothing more than a failure. His tongue feels heavy in his mouth, like it's swollen and pressing against the back of his teeth and he gasps around the blockage, choking on the shaking inhale and gagging on the rushing exhale.
The panic rushes and then stills and Adam slumps back against the hotel pillows, gasping for air like he's just cum but there's nothing ecstatic about the tears on his face or the skin that has gathered under his nails. There's nothing orgasmic about being a failure. As he curls up on his side, Adam keeps the world title in the corner of his eyeline almost if he stares hard enough, Kenny will appear under the fleeting moonlight; all rippling muscles and gentle lips. Just behind Adam's eyelids, Kenny reaches down and gently cups his cheeks.
"Cmon cowboy,  you think this is champ behavior?" He asks, voice buttery smooth and thick and Adam hiccups in a breath, tilting his head against Kenny's cold fingertips. He blinks down at Adam as he tucks himself closer around his trembling frame, pawing at the stubble on his cheek before one hand floats almost instinctively to the title, stroking his fingers across the nameplate. "You worked hard to get this but it's mine. You know that right?"
"I know.." Adam answers before he realizes that he's talking, his voice feels feather light and the words stick to his accent like honey; gluing them to the back of his throat and Adam coughs a little and flutters his eyelashes open and Kenny disappears behind a storm cloud. "I know." Adam replies again using the back of his hand to wipe away the tears that gather just under his eyes.
He sits up almost too quickly, pressing bare feet against the carpeted floor as the room spins, tilting and blurring and Adam hates that feeling is caused by a lack of oxygen and not from drinking.
He should order himself another bottle, he thinks as he wobbles his way to the connected bathroom, feet unsteady and aching almost like the weight of his body is too much to carry the short distance. His shoulder collides with the pristine styles and Adam winces just a little as his body finally betrays him and he kneels, arms wrapped tightly around the toilet as he throws up, it trickles down his nose and there's almost a comfort in the acidic taste that stains the back of his teeth, he spits the last of the bile out of his mouth and shuffles his way like a child towards the shower.
He doesn't even wait for the water to warm up before he curls up under it. The cold nips and bites at the back of his neck and Adam picks at the bile stuck in the ends of his curls, pretending that he doesn't crave the stinging that comes with yanking on his hair until strands tumble and wash away under the water. Tears and lukewarm water settle on his eyelashes, staining them a dark brown and Adam blinks away the sting, kicking his legs out pathetically in front of him.
His fingers find fresh, halfmoon shaped scars on his temples and he traces the shape with his nails until his hair is stained a light pink and red paints its way across the back of his neck, over his shuddering chest until it gathers across the fat of his hips where finally it seems to stop, mixing with hard water and staining the floor below him. The throbbing in his head isn't enough to crave the voice that echoes louder and louder in the back of his head.
"Please just leave me alone!" Adam yells, almost sobbing into the palms of his hands. His legs trembles and as the overhead light flickers off, Adam sits and sobs silently to himself, using the moonlight and a broken disposable razor to carve across the fat of his hips like meat; fileting himself alive for the next person who wishes to dig their teeth into him, the next person who wants to lick his very existence off their tongue as he pants, hands eager behind them. The voice echoes and screams and as Adam's eyes blur and the light flickers back on, it overflows leaving Adam pathetic and empty and alone.
He doesn't look at the title when he shuffles his way back into his hotel room; he shoves his stinging aching frame into a faded pair of sweatpants and pulls a hoodie on quickly, pulling the sleeves over his stained hands. A cloud cuts past the moon slowly and it catches the title like a spotlight and Adam looks over his shoulder at it. He simply stares, hoping that if he just looked hard enough it would disappear and Adam could go back to having something to fight for but the moon doesnt move off the shimmering gold and Adam's hands tense at his side, emptiness flooding over towards anger until he can't feel anything over than the anger, the jealousy that pulses through his torn veins painting his skin in reds and greens and Adam scoffs.
The title is lukewarm between his shaking, blood-stained fingers and Adam drags his fingers across the chilled metal watching how the darkness of his blood captures the lightness of the moon and he chuckles, a little dryly and a little unhappily as he thinks about just how much Kenny loves a star that's still so far out of his reach, how he burns himself alive just so someone else can adore the flames from afar.
Adam hates just how much Kenny Omega has blinded him. How the shimmer of gold barely stained him enough, that somehow he was never enough for Kenny. He growls, lips curled and teeth glinting like knives under the lowering moon as he tosses the title into the bottom of his duffle bag, kicking it until the zipper presses against the wall. He breathes heavy, tests the balance back on his feet and stares down at the floor, the bend of his shoulder aches and Adam barely registers the the stain on his hoodie sleeve until he's clinging to his phone moments later, waiting for room service to leave a bottle of whiskey on his doorstep.
The doorbell goes and by the time Adam can muster up the energy to open the door, the bottle sits discarded on a small silver tray where the glasses, still dishwasher warm, sit upturned and untouched at his feet like an offering at an altar. He sighs and wraps his fingers around the neck of the bottle and closes the door. Adam isn't a God, he's barely a fallen angel. He's just a man, carrying the curse of being human.
The bottle knocks against the bedside table and the cap cracks between Adam's fingers and he lets it drop and roll on the floor. He follows the cap as it twists, clattering against the carpet as it rolls under the bed. The whiskey burns the fresh wound on his lip but Adam just swallows it down, head tilted back towards the stars blinking down at him, his phone buzzes in front of him and Adam wipes his mouth with the back of his hand as he taps against his phone case before tossing the phone over.
The screen flashes with a text from Uno and Adam feels his stomach twist just a little. He promised that he would call if something happened, if for some reason his brain betrayed him and Adam was sitting alone in his hotel room with just an already half-empty bottle of whiskey as a friend. He sighs and swipes the text away, the phone blinks up at him and Adam listens to the phone ring on the other end.
"Huh?" The voice on the other side sounds tired and dry with sleep and Adam stiffles an apologetic smile as he knocks the bottom of the bottle against the hardwood of the table; whiskey splashes and curls its way up up the glass and Adam swears under his breath as it collects, dark and brown on the bedside table, soaking deep into the cracks in the wood. "Adam?" The voice calls, crackling from the phone, still sat cupped between his fingers.
He raises it to the side of his face, simply listening to the sound of another person breathing on the end of the line as tears press against the back of his eyes. "My..my ma said never to cry over spilt milk..." He starts, testing his voice before it cracks and all Adam can whisper out is "help" before the person on the other end of the line sighs.
"I'm coming cowboy..." The line dies and Adam watches as his lock screen stares back at him and then darkness reflects his tired face back at him, Adam searches the eyes that glare back at him and he wonders what people see in him when they cheer for him; he's all sunken, tired eyes and when he smiles, his teeth are crooked and alcohol stained.
By the time there's a knock at the door, Adam had finished the bottle. He rolls it between sweaty fingers and presses his palms against the glass before tossing it to the side as he stands, foggy eyes focused on the door in front of him; he's a captain on a sinking ship, going down into the drink with the only thing he'll ever care about. People won't remember him as a champion, just as that tired drunken wrestler.
A failed art project, tossed aside instead of shown proudly on the fridge, a dog too angry and scared to let anyone brush out the mats from his fur. He wraps his fingers around the door handle and sways, just a little. Below his bare feet the floor shifts and Adam follows with it, widening his stance as he licks to the distracting click of the door opening.
Kenny blinks at him sleepily from the hotel hallway; hair lazily dragged into a ponytail and a bruise swelling on his cheek. Adam searches the blueness and gasps in his last breath as he drowns. "Why are you here?" He asks, voice sounding tougher and meaner than what he meant it to.
Kenny sighs, glances over Adam's shoulder. "You wanted help." He blinks and his eyes are back on Adam, light eyebrows pinching up and lips creasing in a way that Adam used to love but now he just envies the fact that Kenny's lips aren't tainted with cuts.
"Not from you." Adam says, instead of focusing on the churning in his stomach. He turns his back on Kenny. He tries his best, he really does to walk in a straight line but his feet betray him, Adam stumbles forward and there's a new weight around his stomach and his heart calls for the comfort in the familiarity. "I'm not a kid, I can walk by myself." He grumbles, succumbing to the desire to touch Kenny.
The door slams behind them, lock clicking back into place and Adam feels Kenny's chest flinch under the palm of his hand as he shoves him away. Kenny throws his hands up, defeated. "You've been drinking."
"I've been celebratin" Adam corrects, slumping onto the bed and raising the empty bottle by its neck, it dances through the moonlight and Adam slumps back on the bed, chuckling dryly. "I beat the great Kenny Omega." He rolls his eyes, looking at Kenny who leans against the wall, staring at Adam like he's some kind of wounded animal. Adam scoffs at his own brain and runs his fingers through his hair, if he stares at Kenny any longer he'll feel the bullet slice through the throbbing at the back of his head.
"Yeah you won." Kenny says, and there's something akin to freedom that undercuts the look on Kenny's face. "You're the champ now." Kenny's nose wrinkles, eyes cutting to the floor. He stares into Adam's gym bag and frowns. "What's in the bottle?”
"What do you think?" Adam scoffs, slumping against the headboard, knees pressed against his chest, frowning when Kenny sighs. "If ya just gonna stand there starin at me, just leave yeah?" He slips from the pillows and curls around himself, his back to Kenny.
The mattress dips and Adam swallows the whimper that bubbles past his throat when he feels Kenny's fingers press gently into the side of his hip. It hurts and Adam shifts slightly, pressing his face deeper into the pillow. "I' proud of you.." Kenny whispers and Adam can't help the shuddering scoff that shakes past his lips, he just lets it tumble into the pillow as he rubs his face against the itchy pillow case.
"The last time ya said that, you got Callis to drive a camera into m'head." Adam grumbles, hand reaching up to run across the raised scar that sits hidden between thick blond curls. "You gonna do that again?"
"Do you see a camera?" Kenny asks, using his free hand to gesture around the small room. Adam knows what he's doing, he's trying to force novelty and comedy into the thick air around the two of them but when Kenny meets Adam's eyes, there's nothing but a sadness that floats past them between them. "Sorry..."
"Why are you apologisin for?" Adam sits up slowly, turning his arms inwards when Kenny moves with him. "You didn't do nothing but lose."
Kenny forces a half grimace, almost half smile onto his face and looks out the window, at the clouds that roll darker than before through the night sky. "It's gonna rain." He answers, ignoring Adam's question. He sighs "Why did you call me?" He asks once the clouds break and rain starts decorating the window.
"Who knows me better than you huh?" Adam shrugs, laying flat on the bed as he stares up at Kenny, head tilting into the pillows. "Afterall you made this place for me." Adam copies Kenny's earlier gesture and scoffs, dropping the back of his hand against Kenny's knee. "So where are you fucking off too after all this?"
"Where do you think?" Kenny drops his eyes from the rain and stares down at Adam's twitching fingers and scuffed palm. "I gotta go home. Rebuild, get better."
Adam just nods, sighing. "Yeah." He's careful to move his hand off Kenny's lap, letting his fingernails catch just a little of the faded fabric of Kenny's shorts before he rubs his face down with his palm. "Home." He rolls it around his mouth for a few moments before shaking his head and sitting up with a groan. "I need another drink." Adam grumbles, padding around the tousled comforter.
Kenny sits up, kneeling against the mattress and stares, eyebrows creased together and lips pressed together into a thin line. Adam glances at him over his shoulder. "What?" He snaps, dropping down to his knees. "You gotta act all high and mighty again over this? Like youre so fucking great Kenny!" Adam snaps, the words tumble out his mouth quickly and once they start melting against his lips he can't stop them.
"Why do you always think you're better than people? You're not better than me or-or anyone!" Lightning slices through Adam's rant and he scoffs, raising his arms in annoyance as Kenny just stares back silently. "Stop looking at me like that!" He snaps, hands balling into fists to slam against the mattress between them.
"Like what?" Kenny whispers, voice exhaled out alongside a heavy sigh.
"Like you're better than me! Like I'm something broken!”
"What's on your arm?" Kenny asks instead of justifying Adam's yelling. The air around the two of them stills; thick and heavy against their lungs as the two of them just breathes. Adam's bottom lip quivers, voice tangling around his throat like a thornbush. "You've started again haven't you..." Kenny says and his voice is so filled with comfort that something shatters inside Adam; he stares at Kenny while his eyes blurry and by the time he coughs out an apology, Kenny has his arms wrapped around his shoulders, lips pressing against the curve of his head.
"Is that why you called me?" Kenny whispers, tightening his grip as Adam sobs, trying to swallow his own tears. "Hey c'mon cowboy its okay, its okay let me help you."
"O..Okay" Adam whispers, letting Kenny hold him. "I'm sorry. Ya must think I suck" Adam lets out a dry chuckle and flinches when Kenny's fingers ghost over the stubble on his cheek, brushing just under his nose to wipe the snot away with his shirt.
"Never." Kenny whispers. His hands are almost too gentle for Adam to get used to, rough calloused fingers dance across the strings of his hoodie, over the exposed torn skin on his arms as he rolls up Adam's sleeves and pulls down the hem of his sweatpants. Kenny even lets Adam press his face into the crook of his neck as he washes dry blood away.
Minutes feel like hours as Kenny smoothes bandaids and kisses across forming bruises and torn skin and when he's finished, Adam blinks sadly at him and Kenny just smiles, so kindly that Adam almost breaks all over again. "Can you stay?"
"Always."

It’s been five months since you left your job at AEW and now here you are, back to give this another shot. Why did you leave in the first place? Because of Colten Gunn and it’s not in a bad way. You worked as a booker and little by little, day after day you noticed your feelings towards the oldest Gunn brother was changing.
You were on the verge of falling for him.
When you first arrived at AEW, you didn’t have any intention on falling for anyone but then came Colten Gunn knocking on your little makeshift office door. Austin was preset as well but, truthfully, you didn’t notice him at first.
“Welcome to AEW!” Colten beamed, arms outstretched as if to show off the place. “We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be the first to give you the grand tour.”
You were taken aback at how excited he was to be given this task. You didn’t know what to expect when you arrived, especially with Tony Kahn being busy with boss man duties. He assured you that you would be in good hands for your first day. You expected him to send The Young Bucks or Kenny Omega or Britt Baker or Willow Nightingale to be the welcome wagon and your guide for today but lo and behold, he sent the Gunns. You’re not complaining but it definitely surprised you.
“Thanks for the warm welcome,” you smiled. Movement from behind Colten caught your attention and that’s when you finally noticed his brother. Austin was standing back watching the interaction, a small smirk playing on his lips. What’s that about? You shrugged it off and introduced yourself to them.
The Gunns showed you around and before long it felt like you all had known each other for years. It was comforting to have an instant friendship so early into your career at AEW.
Fast forward a few months and things were still great. You were booking huge matches and doing your best to help tell stories that people would remember and connect with. Your friendship with Colten and Austin was going great, although you ended up being closer to Colten in the end. Maybe that wasn’t as good of a thing as you thought.
As time went on, you began to notice your feelings changing towards Colten. No. You cannot ruin this friendship with unrequited love. You tried to bury those feelings down and pretend they didn’t exist. You couldn’t fall for arguably your best friend. Unfortunately, those feelings became too hard to hide and you knew you were in trouble. You were at risk of losing your rock. Your anchor. Your best friend.
Why are you stressing out so much about this? What if he feels the same and all is well and good? Well, you have a rule Do not date your coworkers.
That rule is why you asked Tony Kahn for time away. You needed space from Colten to clear your head and forget about those feelings. Surely it was just some weird ‘I like him because he showed me around and has been there for me’ kind of thing. Right?
Time will tell.
You pushed open the doors to the arena AEW was at this week and started tracking down Tony. You finally managed to find him talking to some crew members on the ramp way leading to the ring. The conversation wrapped up and you cheerfully greeted him. “Hi Tony! What do you have for me?”
Tony filled you in on what’s going on in regard to your job and the matches that will be taking place tonight. He showed you to a similar makeshift office that you had on your first day. That’s when the memories came rushing back. All the times Colten hung out with you when he wasn’t needed for backstage interviews or matches. It’s all going to be fine. It has to be.
Thankfully you didn’t see Colten at all or Austin either. Some of your friends came by to welcome you back and expressed how happy they were to see you again. All felt right, even when you were packing up some things to head out in the next ten minutes…. Until Colten popped up in the doorway. Oh no. Breathe. It’s fine. You’re just friends.
“Sorry I hadn’t been able to come by and welcome you back,” he noticed your bag on your desk and you sliding your laptop in its case. “I’m about to be heading out too. Want me to walk you out?”
You tried not to look nervous as you zipped up your bag. “Y-yeah. That would be great.” Just friends. You’re just friends despite the fact that your heart is doing flips and your hands are slightly shaky. You threw your bag on your shoulder and grabbed your phone. When you looked up at Colten, he was watching you with a look you couldn’t quite place.
The two of you walked and talked about what you’ve missed. You couldn’t help but laugh at a story Colten told about how badly Austin embarrassed himself in front of this girl at a bar. “It couldn’t have went any worse. I swear his face was as red as lobster.” Colten laughed.
His laugh. His contagious smile. His gorgeous eyes. They were not helping you convince yourself that you and Colten are just friends. Get it together!
“I have a question.” Colten said once you both had arrived at your rental car. You motioned for him to continue, not trusting your voice to be steady enough to answer. “Why did you leave? Did something happen? Did someone say or do something to make you feel like you didn’t belong?” His face was covered with concern and a small mixture of hurt and anger at the thought of someone being the reason you felt the need to leave. Little does he know, he’s the reason.
You thought about how to answer for a moment, searching for the right words. “I..” you paused, taking a breath, knowing that what you were about to say would change everything. “I left because of you,” you quietly replied. You saw the look on his face — confusion, hurt, a flash of anger even appeared on his face. “It’s not because of anything bad!” You were quick to reassure him. “It was because I have this rule and you were going to make me break it. And I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t ruin our friendship.” You rambled, hoping he heard it all.
“What’s the rule?” Colten asked after a moment to let the information you just gave soak in. “I swear I didn’t mean to do anything bad or wrong or upset you.”
You took another breath and knew your rule was absolutely about to be broken. You knew in that moment your feelings for Colten weren’t going away any time soon, if ever. “The rule is don’t date your coworkers. I always prided myself on following that rule at every job I’ve ever had but then I come here and meet you and then little by little feelings changed. I could feel myself starting to—“ you cut yourself off. You didn’t want to scare him away, but honestly, it didn’t look like he was going anywhere as you finally looked into his eyes. He had this look that you’ve seen in movies. Admiration.
“You left because you were falling in love with me?” Colten’s eyebrows raised and he couldn’t resist the smile that made its way to his face. “I’ll be honest. I was miserable when you left and I thought it was just because we were close friends but the longer you were gone, Austin and Jay and Juice were convinced it was because I had fell for you. And finally, I didn’t argue with them anymore about it because I knew they were right.” Never once did Colten’s eyes leave yours. In the middle of his confession, he had taken your hands in his.
No unrequited love? No rejection? You wanted to cheer but refrained. This moment was too perfect to ruin. “I left to clear my head but now that I’m back, I know you’re worth breaking my rule for. Especially after what you just said. I was falling for you then and I’m falling for you now.”
“I’m happy you’re breaking your rule for me. I’m just curious about something though.” A smirk played on his lips. You didn’t know what he was about to ask but it was clearly going to be mischievous.
“What’s that?”
“How many more rules are you willing to break for me?”
A blush crept up on your cheeks as you playfully smacked his chest, a laugh escaping your lips. It’s clear you’re in for a ride with this one.

**Every person has their own backstory (in a wrestling world where I am a fantastic booker/producer) and the person who attacked them are in ()**
Eddie Kingston (BCC)
Tumblr media
This happened during Eddie’s match against Christian Cage
Eddie didn’t want you out there in fear that Christian might rizz you up (or even Luchasurus no judgment)
So as he’s about to finish the match; the titantron shows up with you on the floor as Wheeler Yuta and Claudio tower over you
Eddie goes berserk; he no longer cares about the match; fuck the match
He leaves the match to rush to your aid with a kendo stick; whacking and cursing anyone who dares get in the way
He gets to you and hits Claudio and Wheeler as they run away; he holds you with so much care and curses himself out too
“Fuck Claudio and his Yorkie bitch! Fuck, I should have kept an eye on you doll. I’m sorry, it’s my fault”
Legit feels bad about the situation (it almost reduces him to tears) as you are put in an ambulance
Looks at Mox and says “You betta pray that she’s okay or Renee won’t be able to recognize her husband”
Darius Martin (Kingdom)
Tumblr media
Okay hear me out; the Kingdom attacks you and then throws you on stage during Darius’ match to distract him
He looks at Action Andretti and Matt Sydal as they tell him to check on you; Darius goes with you backstage as doctors check on you
He’s silent….which is unusual and almost unsettling for you; he’s really taking everything to heart and is angrily simmering
“I’m so sorry that they dragged you into my mess, but I promise I will fix this”
He really feels remorseful about everything and certainly disappointed with himself that he allowed this to happen
Next week; he comes out with a chair and whoops ass
But I think he would go so far to the point where Andretti and Matt have to come out and say stop
He calms down and sits with you backstage for the rest of the show (he prolly will never take his eyes off you again)
Hook (Jack Perry)
Tumblr media
Mans is fucking up everyone in sight
Bad enough that Jack took his title and refused to give him a rematch; so Hook is wrestling a jobber
As Hook has his opponent in the Redrum; Jack pops up on the screen with Anna Jay who is just choking you out (wish it was me)
Hook keeps the submission on long enough for the bell to ring before zooming backstage; just as Anna and Jack getaway
He is livid and starts throwing people left and right until he realizes that you are still on the ground
I think he feels exposed at the fact you were attacked cause he really does care about you
He helps you up and is visibly upset; vows to get revenge but then has a better idea
Two weeks later; he returns with you in tow and you two start WHOOPING THOSE TRICKS (to the point where the FTW championship is on the line in a tag team match; ex Edge and Kelly Kelly vs Dolph Ziggler and Laycool)
Nick Wayne (Swerve)
Tumblr media
THIS SWEET BABY
He honestly doesn’t know what to think (and what he did to deserve Swerve hating him so much)
I feel like as soon as he sees your unconscious self on the screen, he would immediately dash backstage (like Eddie)
He would run up to your body “Y/N! Are you okay?” Before getting attacked by Swerve and AR Fox; who would then be run off by Best Friends
As he falls to the ground and when he wakes up, Nick would think that he’s a failure (DESPITE NOTHING IS HIS FAULT)
It would really take you constantly reassuring him that he was fine and nothing is his fault
“Yeah sure, but if I can’t protect you from attacks; then what kind of a man and wrestler am I?”
Like Darius, Nick would never allow you to leave his sight
Not until he ended this feud with Swerve
Kenny Omega (Will Ospreay)
Tumblr media
Kenny would be that person who would just fill his mind continuously
During his match against Jon Moxley (sorry), The United Empire shows up with you about to go through a table
He turns his attention as Jon rolls him up and wins; Kenny immediately runs to the back
The Bucks attack the group and you are dropped on the floor (not through the table); you have no injuries
As he approaches backstage, mans is worried and anxiety has filled his body
Subconsciously declares war with Opsreay and will allow guilt to take over his mind
“I swear to you that Ospreay, that son of a bitch, will pay for this shit. And he will literally pay for your therapy (bitch take the free therapy plz)”
So much to the point where he’s not smiling anymore and treats every match like a deathmatch
Tbh, as long as Will shows up, Kenny will attack him without fail
Ricky Starks (CM Punk/The Factory)
Tumblr media
OKAY LISTEN TO ME I believe that CM Punk would do some fucked up shit (as a true heel)
So during after Ricky’s match on Collision (who hasn’t seen you all night), Punk would show the footage of you being attacked by The Factory
But then he would say; “but that was earlier tonight”
And then BAM Punk attacks Ricky from behind and leaves him the ring
Ricky is upset at himself for not recognizing that you were missing all night and mad that he allowed Punk to attack him and you
Immediately checks on you and apologizes profusely
“I’m so sorry; I should have noticed, I should have made sure you were beside me-” “Ricky, you have been saying I’m sorry for the past hour” “Because I am!”
Would cut a vicious promo on Punk that embarrassed and angered him at the same time
Vows to get his revenge and starts it by attacking Punk
Daniel Garcia (Chris Jericho)
Tumblr media
OKAY WOULD LOVE TO DO A POST ON HOW I WOULD BOOK DANNY’S EXIT FROM JAS
Danny is on the verge of leaving the JAS due to differences and Chris’ power trips, and you are his escape from it all
Chris knows this and tries to use it to his advantage; he tries to talk to you about Danny and keeping him in the JAS
To which you disagree and say it’s his decision; to which he got angry….and to which he may or may not have hit you with the baseball bat (CAUSE HE’S A JACKASS)
All of this was shown during Daniel and Sammy’s tag team match; Danny immediately jumped down from the apron (essentially leaving Sammy hanging) and ran to the back
He would be so angry that he would quit the JAS right then and there
Time skip, you were okay; when Danny told you the news, you were happy but you wouldn’t show it to him, asking him if he was sure
“Y/N, your safety, and well-being is more important to me than Jericho’s trash ass club. And it always will be.”
The following weeks are filled with confrontations until Daniel joins the BCC (who are not complete assholes in this universe)
HES FREE

: ̗̀➛ Gaming with him, wether you do streams with him from your own house or you play together at his house. If you aren’t good at games he will teach you, otherwise you can both just compete with each other
: ̗̀➛ You two have definitely done something dirty in his streaming room. Either on his yellow gaming chair, the black sofa in the back, near the wall, the desk, wherever he wants in his house
: ̗̀➛ The moment that you first came to his house and his cat Dobby rubbed his head on you and sat on your lap making biscuits, he knew you were the one as this man loves animals more than people and that will always stay the same
: ̗̀➛ He is going to the hospital and will need you to help him out to rest up as he recovers. Cheering for him and just staying positive
: ̗̀➛ Nobody will love you like him, he is such a sweet guy and shows how much he cares for someone, wether it’s small gifts, hugs, anything, you will always feel special with him
: ̗̀➛ Some nights may be quiet as he is in his office streaming for a few hours, but once he comes out he will just want to lay on your chest and have you play with his curls
: ̗̀➛ Praise. He is the king of praise, giving you praise was his favourite thing, but he also enjoys receiving praise and compliments from you
: ̗̀➛ Sitting on his lap while he’s at his desk is just a usual thing for you both, while you both munch of his favourite peanut butter cheesecake
: ̗̀➛ When he’s in his pain you somehow take all the pain away, gently massaging his sore muscles and placing kisses on his bare skin
: ̗̀➛ You were probably friends with the elite or apart of them and Matt and Nick tease you both about your relationship
: ̗̀➛ Kenny is mostly a softie for you until he is in the mood then he is more quiet and teases you a bit, leaving little hints for you
: ̗̀➛ He wants you to wear his clothes and even his merch mostly outside in public but also at home, makes him feel closer to you even when you’re both busy
: ̗̀➛ You two rarely argue but when you do it’s usually over him being so stressed out, but you understand him and just wait for him to realise what he did, then he would apologise and just hide in the crook of you neck, wanting you to run his back
: ̗̀➛ Whispers in your ear quite often knowing it sends shivers down your spine. His whispers either being sweet and romantic or perverted

Can i request an AEW Hook x reader fic where reader got pregnant with his baby and she broke up with him without telling him that she was pregnant. Reader returns to AEW 1 year later for Taz's birthday and she brings the baby with her but she tries to hide the baby from Hook. Hook finds out the truth somehow
A/N: Ofc!!! Honestly I made it half-angst half-fluff :) and reader had twins in this I guess-
♡~Wha- How...~☆
{Ratin: Fluff and Angst}
{Warnings: Swearing, Mentions of Pregnancy/Birth.}
{Pairing: HOOK/Tyler x Fem!Reader}
You and Hook had dated for sometime, until the night you'd caught him with your own friend in your bed..
A little while after that, you two made up. Until Hook splashed the cold water and said he wanted to break up with you..
You were a mess after that day, watching him move out of your house... the tears mixed with your eyeliner.. the stains on your cheeks for the rest of the day.
You both wrestled for AEW, so what was wrong.. Did He move on?
You didn't know. But you couldn't care because you never told Hook about the secret, you wanted to tell him. But then he broke up with you-
Next thing you know. It's been a few months and you wish you could wrestle, but you had two little Demon spawns crawl into the world a month ago. So you were on the shelf.
But while said spawns were asleep, you flicked through channels on the TV. Knowing if you even wink. Those demons would cry.
So you tried your best to stay awake, but failed majorly. You ended up asleep in 30 minutes probably for not sleeping for almost 2 weeks straight because of your kids.
You eventually recovered, and you were ready to wrestle again. But- you had to travel with your son, since your mom had forgotten to get him out of the car seat from your trip to the shop, so while your daughter Arianna slept soundly in her cradle. You had to deal with Jayson, who was a feisty little mess.
Your jaw dropped when you saw.. Him.
"Fuck- Tyler's coming..." You spoke, hiding your son in your locker room
You heard Hook chatting with Taz, about the birthday plans after the show.. you tried to be as silent as ever so they wouldn't know you and your son were in the locker room
"Alright Dad, I'll see you later- have fun on commentary" Hook spoke as his dad walked off
You on the other hand were still silent, until you left your locker room to go towards the ring.
"Oh! Hey Y/N!" You heard Danhausen say at the worst possible time
"Hi Danhausen!" You said back, trying to act like everything was peaches & cream.
"Hey Y/N-" You froze like a Mouse that was seen by a cat
('FuckFuckFuckFuckFuck') you thought, you were panicked.
"Why do you seem so nervous? Is there something up? Y/N?" He asked
"Oh, I'm just nervous to be back y'know?"
"You sure? Because it seems like your-"
"YES! Fuck! I'm sorry I'm just nervous for my match- I gotta go warm-up." You spat
Quickly you ran off, and handed your son off to your good friend Darby. Since Willow was busy.
"Oh. Hey Darby, what're you doin'?" Hook asked
"Just Watching Y/N's Son-" Darby Said
"Y/N has a son? Wow... I thought she wouldn't have moved on that fast" Hook said
"Dumbass- it's your fucking son. You knocked her up before you left her. So she is a single mother of two." Kenny Omega spoke
"Wha- How-..." Hook looked shocked
After that revelation, he went off to find you. You'd just come back from your match and wanted to go get your son until Hook stopped you.
"Hey Y/N, I found out about Jayson and Arianna" He sighed
"How the fuck did you- why do you- The fuck?!" You spoke quickly.
"Kenny and Darby Told me what happened after our break up." He said
"So? What's the fucking point Tyler? You've probably got some girl waiting for you." You spat
"Actually no. I've stopped my whole streak of cheating, I feel awful that I left you before you could tell me..." He admitted
"Can I actually trust you..?" You asked
"Yes, Y/N I'm sorry.." He said
You both hugged and Hook gave you some time before the big dinner to think...

my love when it counted. 01
Tumblr media
summary: When Kenny’s ex girlfriend is hired to work at AEW he is forced to face his mistakes, his feelings, and the mess he’d made of something he once treasured. Not an easy thing, but pretending each other don't exist in some backstage cold war really wasn't going to help. (there was no abuse, violence, or cheating in their previous relationship) pairing: kenny omega x reader word count: 3337 warning: none, a little angst if you squint starting off easy in this chapter, this is more of an introduction, we pick up the pace (and the drama) way more in the next one, and you can expect smut later on in this too. Meanwhile, I'm also gonna be working on that smut yall voted for, so keep a watch to see when that comes out! Anyways, here is something that's NOT smut for you to read on this Holy Friday!!
01.
“Shit.”
Kenny’s hushed voice broke through the noise in the food court, his broken half whisper reaching Matt across the table. Looking up, he caught Kenny’s eyes widening in shock, like a deer in headlights. He watched as his friend went from shock to tension in a moment before he sent his gaze scattering down. Shit, and here he thought he’d be able to have a calm, peaceful meal. Just his luck.
By this point, Matt didn’t even need to look back to know the footsteps behind him were yours. Kenny’s reaction was confirmation enough. Just as the man looked down, you passed by Matt on your way, almost as if on cue. You walked in silence, but the sound of your boots cut through the background noise like a dagger.
Matt knew you were pretending you didn’t see them. Well, pretending you didn't see Kenny. Whenever you saw Matt by himself you were always friendly. On his side, Kenny was - badly - pretending he didn’t see you. That was the unspoken agreement between you two. A cold war that felt terrifying from the outside, but that Matt only saw as sad. He could still remember the days when Kenny and you almost spoke in your own little language. Now he had to watch the two of you act like strangers and just come off being passive aggressive.
Looking up, Matt caught sight of an almost skittish Kenny finishing off his burger in a hurry. There was something unspeakbly weird about watching Kenny fucking Omega looking like some sort of stressed out prey animal. It could be even funny, had he not known that Kenny was more haunted by his own emotions than by you yourself. This was just depressing, tiring, and something Matt had told the man to solve even before his return to the ring. Looking around, he could already see a couple of people looking in his general direction, a sight escaping his lips as he looked back up again.
Kenny turned back to his friend just in time to catch a disapproving expression that he knew all too well by now. Honestly, he wasn’t doing this on purpose. It was just his reaction whenever you entered the room. Just as much as he was sure you weren’t doing the death glare on purpose, you just got on the defensive whenever your eyes crossed. The problem is, it wasn't easy avoiding each other. This situation was an every other show type of thing since Kenny returned to the ring. You’d cross each other for a few seconds and the air would already be tense.
Shit, sometimes he wondered how he convinced Tony he’d be fine working with his ex.
But there wasn’t much else he could say about it. Kenny genuinely thought he could handle it, but he severely miscalculated your piercing gaze. Besides it’s not like he had anything he could do when Tony personally brought your name up. What would he say? ‘Yeah, no, don’t hire that amazing wrestler at the height of her career because I botched our relationship years and years ago’? Not the most valid of arguments. So, he sucked it up.
Or he tried, at least. God only knew he was trying. When Tony decided he’d hire you, Kenny had still been in recovery. Your name hit him like something out of this world. He felt like the air was infused with your perfume but turned ice cold, freezing his lungs as he tried to draw breath. Like flowers in a graveyard, the bitter sweet beauty of something long gone.
You were good - great actually. So it only made sense. The best business decision. He’d have made the same call in Tony’s place. Besides, far be it from him to stand in the way of your career. So, when the topic of conversation came to that and Tony finally asked if Kenny would be ok with it, he easily agreed. Nodding his head and smiling, assuring himself that it would work. It would have to.
But back then he was still in recovery, stuck at home. This problem would be for another day. But the day always comes. His first two weeks back he hadn’t seen you. No show he was at, you were at. It was a blessing and a curse, living on the edge of a precipice, waiting for the moment he would fall. So, as he waited, he tried to mentally prepare for the inevitable day your paths would cross.
It didn’t work.
Of course it wouldn’t. How does he even prepare for something like this? You were like a force of nature - at least for him - wrecking his emotions like a fucking tornado. You had that effect on him. The love, the pain, the guilt - just the sight of your eyes stirred them all up in him. Like a storm contained within your gaze.
At first he tried being civil around you, it had been over five years, he was sure you could do it. And you could, playing civility like a good adult, a bit too well even. But the cold politeness of your voice froze his lips and dried his throat. He could feel the burn in his skin, like being dropped in an icy lake. Any deviation from that tone was always aggressive, and Kenny knew your anger was justified, he couldn't really blame you.
It didn’t take him long to decide that speaking was way worse than not speaking. The new plan was to keep his head low and dodge confrontation. He’d avoid pissing you off and maybe, if you were both polite about the whole thing, you’d seem like just strangers. Just leave you to your business and hope you wouldn’t see each other quite so often. Too bad for him, there is only so much space backstage.
“Come on,” Matt’s voice broke Kenny from his thoughts.
When he looked up again he saw Matt getting up, holding the last of his fries as he signaled for them to go. Kenny could see the same disapproving look still burning in his friend's eyes. Getting up, he followed Matt, though, as he got back to the hallway, he stole another glance before turning around.
Kenny’s gaze caught yours, just as you were turning back, coffee in hand. The sight was almost nostalgic, like he’d been sent straight back to the past. You had a match in thirty minutes and Kenny remembered this habit of yours pretty well. You’d always get coffee before a match, almost your own good luck charm. For a moment it was like time just hadn’t passed. But the moment soon was gone as he followed Matt into the hallway.
You watched as Matt and Kenny turned a corner, Kenny’s eyes catching yours for a second before they were both gone. There was tension in your muscles and bones as you started making your way to your locker room. You’d been trying to avoid Kenny as much as possible, avoid his gaze like it was the devil. Though, every now and again you’d turn around and find him staring at you. Find his eyes on yours only if just for a moment. And every time you met those baby blues you could feel all the pain you’d pushed down bubbling up to the surface.
Sometimes you wondered if accepting this job had been the right thing to do. Maybe you should have passed it down, thanked Tony for his offer and sent him on his way. Not that you had much of an option though, your time at WWE had finally started wearing you out. The lack of creative freedom making everything  a constant struggle. You almost lost your love for this job all together.
So, when Tony Khan came forward with an invitation, you had no choice but to accept. What else would you do? Leave wrestling at this point? Not an option. Returning to New Japan was on the table, but you knew that whole place would scream Kenny. You wouldn’t be able to go anywhere without remembering that man. In the end, AEW was the best option. And they offered more money than New Japan, it was easy math.
The only problem was being around the man himself. But you knew that as long as you didn’t have to spend too much time together, you could do it. Be civil, be polite, be professional. You tried that, until he decided to just start pretending you weren’t there all together. And if that was the way he wanted things to be, so be it. Enough of civil and polite, you’d be silent, be curt, be distant. And try not to get caught watching one of Kenny’s matches from one of the backstage monitors. Again.
You couldn’t be sure if Matt knew that you knew, but from the corner of your eye you’d seen him watching you before you moved away. He was courteous enough to not mention anything when he came up to talk to you, and for that you were more than thankful. That was early into Kenny’s return, early into you both seeing each other again. Matt - and Nick - had kept that respectful politeness, never bringing your previous relationship up. You were friendly with the brothers and they were friendly with you. But you could feel in Matt’s eyes that hidden look of sorrow reserved for when you can’t really say what you are thinking.
In all honesty, you were just thankful you weren’t getting this look from anybody else. If Nick had the same feelings he did a better job at hiding them. You weren’t close with Adam Cole so you couldn’t know what he thought, but you didn’t really think he cared this deeply. And Hangman, despite being very friendly and warm since your arrival, never really tried bringing up the topic. Anybody else who’d know the story were also smart enough to keep to themselves. It was better that way. You figured that since Matt was closest to Kenny, he’d be the one most involved in this whole ordeal anyways.
As you arrived at the locker room you convinced yourself that it didn’t matter now. It was all in the past. Kenny, his selfish behavior and any feelings you had for him were now relics that you promised to leave behind when you took that plane in Japan. You were a different person from all those years ago and Kenny could hold you down no longer. And if Matt had anything to say he could speak up or leave it. But now, neither of them mattered, you had a match to fight. A match to win. And win you would.
From his spot backstage Kenny could hear clearly the moment your entrance music started playing. The crescendo of the beat over the booming crowd filling his ears as he made his way around the place. The song now was nothing like the one he had gotten used to associating you with. It was more aggressive and intense than your old New Japan song. It was a good song, great even. But it made his heart heavy with the realization of how much time had passed, and how time can change people.
Before the bell could ring he spotted one of the monitors backstage, stopping dead in his tracks when he saw you on the screen. He’d gotten into this bad habit since he returned, whenever you had a match he’d find the most isolated TV backstage and watch it from there. The first time he did it he said it would be only once, to fill his curiosity, he wouldn’t keep on doing this. Clearly, that didn’t work out.
Truth is, he didn’t watch your fights before you came to AEW. Well, mostly. In the beginning he refused to watch your matches out of pride. But when your absence started gripping at his heart he finally caved. Kenny missed you with him but he missed seeing you in the ring too, New Japan felt emptier without you. So one day he gave in and watched one of your fights.
He tuned in just as you were making your way to the ring, sporting new gear with a bold new song to go with it. The match started and you were beautiful, magnificent even. An exuberant exhibition of power and athleticism, of speed and resilience. You were better than before, stronger, more daring. An unleashed storm that had stayed far too long contained. It had been a few months since you left and you were doing well. You seemed to even be doing better.
Kenny could feel jealousy and envy gripping at him, tasting like acid in his mouth. He wanted to hate the way you looked in the new gear but he couldn’t deny how it flattered your body in the best ways. When the match ended and your song played he could feel the music sticking in his throat and choking his breath. But the worst part was the voice in the back of his mind whispering a question: had he been holding you back all this time? When he turned off the TV his throat felt sore and his body tense, trying hard to push these thoughts to the back of his mind.
That cycle would repeat a couple more times. He’d miss you more and want to know about your life and thus, he’d go looking for your matches - you’d blocked him on social media so that's as good as he got. Though, every time he’d feel bad, at first it was jealousy, but soon it morphed into something heavier, duller, and far more contemplative. After watching a couple of your matches, and feeling pain creep into his mind every single time, he just decided to let it go. Let you live your life without him knowing any of it.
And that was how he lived for years, only occasionally hearing any news about you. That is, until the news was that you were joining AEW. Now he sat in an empty corner backstage, watching your fight from a monitor in the wall. Like an addict, he kept coming back, watching every match with glued eyes. It still brought a tinge of pain from the corners of his mind but he just couldn’t stop it. He couldn’t bear being in the same arena as you and not watching you fight. It just felt wrong.
Time had been kind with Kenny though, mellowing his conflicting thoughts and brash nature until he could finally enjoy the show. He watched as you stood on the ropes, facing the crowd in pride as your song died down. The leather in your gear shining under the spotlights, shaping your body as your exposed skin glowed under the bright colors. It was a sight to behold, you were just as beautiful as the day you left New Japan. Maybe even more.
The bell rang and the match started and Kenny was already leaning forward, wide blue eyes fixed on your image on the screen. You moved with purpose and ferocity, an electric storm taken human form, just as dangerous and grand. Watching you like this was almost like going back to the old days. Like you’d meet after the match and he’d drag you into some dark broom closet to sate the desire you caused on him. Not like he didn’t want that right now. You still had that same effect on him, the sight of your disheveled hair and the way you looked in your gear having his blood rushing down in record time.
But he knew that was then and this was now. He couldn’t keep on feeding a longing that would lead nowhere. Over the time he’d been watching your matches, Kenny couldn’t help but notice the changes. There was more certainty to your step now, doubt like a non existent thought to you. There was more of an edge too, the hunger and fearlessness of an apex predator.
It was clear you’d gained experience and wisdom but it still was like time hadn’t passed, at least not for you. You kept the same energy and agility from before, maybe even more. Still fast to get back on your feet, and even faster to regain the upper hand. An athlete in peak form. It made Kenny even more conscious of how he’d started feeling time and his injuries weighing down on his bones. Like he’d aged twenty years while you only aged five.
Shaking his head he tried to ignore those thoughts. Focus on the match, on the way your body moved and the magnetism it held over him, like the ocean to the moon. Kenny watched you with bated breath, shaking in his seat whenever a hit landed, tensing whenever you went down. It was like the backstage got warmer as he could feel the sweat gathering on his hands, lip caught between his teeth as he watched you make the crawl to the ropes.
Kenny hated this part, of course he knew you weren’t made of glass - you’d told him that a million times - but he still did. He was fidgeting in place as he watched your hand reach its target, digging his nails into the box under him. You struggled back to your feet and Kenny’s eyes widened with every shot you took, a smile breaking through his grin when you finally landed a hit again.
Regaining your footing, you made a run for the corner and Kenny felt his chest tighten. Your love of the top rope always had him tense as he watched you climb up with ease and prepare for a jump. He watched with held breath as you wound up before taking flight, body twisting in the air. With a sigh he released the breath from his lungs as you landed a perfect corkscrew moonsault, the crowd outside cheering alongside him. That sealed the fight as you pinned your opponent and soon the three count was done, bell ringing outside as your song started playing.
Kenny sighed in relief, watching as you raised your fists in victory. You’d won, no ugly hits, no bad falls, a beautiful match, perfectly done. He felt lighter knowing his worries had been for nothing, as he always did at the end of your matches - although, in the back of his mind he always knew, all it took was one unlucky moment. Your song started dying down once more as you made your way back, Kenny getting up and stretching to release the stress in his body. When he turned around, he saw Matt in the hallway.
“She is still quite something, isn’t she?” Matt’s voice was soft, a mix of awe and sorrow seeping through his low tone. Kenny couldn’t tell if that was nostalgia or something worse all together.
“Damn,” Kenny paused, hand sliding down his hair as words failed him for a second, “she’s something else already. A whole other beast,” he paused again, hoping his voice didn’t betray the tightness in his throat. “Makes New Japan seem even longer back,” with effort, Kenny looked back at Matt, being met with his friend’s piercing gaze and hoping his eyes didn’t reveal the deep crack in his heart or how heavy it weighed on him.
“Yeah,” Matt smiled, white teeth showing but the expression still not fully reaching his eyes, “come on man, show is gonna end soon, we gotta get ready.”
Walking up to Kenny, he threw his arms over his friend’s shoulder, holding tight as he guided them into the hallway. They both knew what Matt really wanted to say - yet again. Though this time Kenny needed to hear this, he needed to talk about it, for everyone's sake. But this was a conversation to be had in private, alway from the praying eyes backstage. So Matt would save it for when the night was over, and hope this time they could make that leap.
