The Impossible comes true. From his humble beginnings to the height of his fame, the story of P.T. Barnum. Having read several books about Barnum, this has been a dream project for Jackman since 2009. Is there anything he can’t do?! like whoa. All the singing and dancing - yussss. Kind of like Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby it had more “current” sounding music, and the production music supervisor #BenjPasek said the choice to have the music evoke more contemporary genres like pop and hip-hop “was to express not just the characters feelings, but also how ahead of his time P. T. Barnum was.” mission accomplished. Only problems I had were that about half way through it seemed like Tom Thumb got a lot more CGI’d, the green dress Anne wears to the opera(?), and that it looked a little too “clean” and CGI’d, it could’ve been a little bit grungier and had more practical effects. But #Zendaya did all her own stunts?
