Sure! Great question. Britt is into the couples costumes - Santana isn't so much or at least pretends she's not but of course she does it because Britt loves it. They're both really goofy/playful though and they both love Halloween (the fact that Naya seemed to love Halloween makes me headcanon that San would love it too). They both get really into it especially when they have kids. Of course Brittany loves all of the candy.

They do go as Morticia/Gomez one year. They also go as Barbies in plastic boxes one year - or maybe Britt is Barbie and San is some kind of sexy girl G.I. Joe (I don't see Santana as the Ken type at all lol not really her style).

Brittana always watch Halloween movies together but not the super scary ones - they prefer ones like Hocus Pocus/Practical Magic (borrowing from my friend @the-so-called-finchel's headcanon) Brittana does superhero costumes with their whole family when they have their sons. They love taking their boys trick or treating with the whole superhero family theme.

Wow what wouldn’t fit under heartbroken clue?? The death of that young celebrity while her young son was in the boat. All the deaths from Covid, all the tragedy around the world, the  loss, this is a an open ended clue. I have no idea where to go because there is so much heartbreaking stuff going on out there.. We have John Travolta‘s wife dying of cancer, a toddler killed in the UK hit it in the driveway, a mother and daughter dying within a short span of time.

Here again we have heard daily update in the saga of the duo whose lives are so sad. Into the mix comes Elon Musk yeah yeah yeah yeah.Elon Musk and NOT Johnny Depp could have given Amber Heard cuts and bruises during their affair,  as her marriage to the actor fell apart, according to the Penthouse concierge! Musk was a regular visitor to Amber Heard’s LA penthouse, arriving at 11pm and still there at 1am, allegedly. How lovely! NOT🤢😱! Catherine was interviewed this morning which would’ve been Monday morning on the BBC is that honey happy people right on her Tiny Happy People initiative. She spoke about all three of her children are like bottomless pit filling machines we used to say that kids head hollow legs when they can eat and eat like that as they were growing. Interesting she said little Louis does not understand social distancing well yeah he’s young and this is one of the problems with returning to school children will not understand the concept of a certain age anyway. I wonder I didn’t see the actual interview but I wonder if she mentioned that if they have a little snack at bedtime that’ll get them to sleep easier I’m not sure. I can’t find anything and I can’t think of anything other than that were sleepy ice cream that’s current,  unless somebody put drugs in their ice cream and who  knows with celebrities these days anything is possible!

With all the chalk and bubbles school bubbles travel bubbles etc. I wonder if this is not Kensington Palace being a bubble? Given the fact that there are four heirs to the throne in that home , I wonder if when the Cambridges return from Anmer Hall or any vacations they may be taking, if Kensington Palace will become a bubble. Given the uncertainty of Covid and everything and he has some schools will start in the fall and some won’t we really don’t know until that time and what’s really going to happen. So I think they may be planning ahead and having Kensington Palace be a bubble I think that’s a really excellent idea.

Ik heb dus toch het e-book van Loveless gekocht.

Hi. Het is 14:54 en ik zit onder de boom bij de rivier. Voordat we beginnen aan mijn dag: Naya Rivera's rescue mission is gisteravond (onze tijd) veranderd in een retrieval mission. Oftewel, de missie is niet meer om haar te redden, maar om haar lichaam te bergen. Ze hebben de hele kust afgezocht in de hoop om haar in leven te vinden, maar helaas.

Zolang de status "missing, assumed dead" is, zijn er nog mensen die hopen en geloven dat ze nog leeft. Ik heb gistermiddag geaccepteerd dat ze is overleden. Nou, geaccepteerd is een groot woord, maar je snapt wel wat ik bedoel.

Nu hoop ik gewoon dat ze wordt gevonden zodat haar familie en vrienden rust hebben. Heather Morris (oftewel Brittany in glee) heeft het zoekteam al bedankt voor het werk.

Ik lieg niet, ik ben zeer verdrietig, maar het is gewoon een vreselijk ongeluk. Dus ja, ik geef toe dat ik al best veel gehuild heb om de situatie, maar ik ga dit niet mijn laatste dagen laten verpesten. Niet in een “that’s not what she would’ve wanted!!!” manier, want ik ken haar niet (oh boy, als ik me al zo crap voel, dan wil ik niet eens weten hoe haar familie en vrienden zich voelen), maar wat kan ik eraan doen? Sommige fans zijn de hele dag binnen aan het zitten om Twitter te checken voor updates. Dit is geen haat naar die mensen, want ik snap het helemaal, maar dat doet me niets goed. Ik haat dit gewoon. En de “glee curse” grappen zijn niet grappig. 

Helaas zorgt dit verhaal voor een goede segway naar Sociologie. Mijn laagste punt tot nu toe: 9,5. Ja, voor QAI/CEE had ik een 9,5 en voor Banksy had ik een 10. Een fucking 10???? 

Achtergrond: ik heb best veel tijd gestoken in de QAI/CEE art critique en bij de Banksy Exit Through The Gift Shop heb ik er amper iets voor gedaan. Toen ik het inleverde, dacht ik ook: hopelijk nog een voldoende!

Nou.

Dat is zeker een voldoende.

Nu alleen mijn werkstuk nog. Het werkstuk over Santana en Naya. Het universum is gemeen. In de Dalton server hadden we namelijk ook een meme dat Santana is overleden in een erg ongeluk. Die meme wordt overduidelijk niet meer voortgezet, maar het is gewoon raar. Niemand had dit kunnen zien aankomen.

Oké, op naar een positiever iets. ANIMAL CROSSING. Pascal begon te praten over slaap.

Misschien kan ik daarom niet slapen. Ik ben te powerful voor slaap.

Na dagen was Redd eindelijk op mijn eiland, maar hij had niets nieuws! Tara uit Australië heeft er dus gebruik van gemaakt. Zo heeft tenminste nog 1 iemand iets aan Redd vandaag.

En mijn surfplank collectie is compleet dankzij Eef. Merci!

Toen ik op 20 maart aangaf dat dit nu een Animal Crossing blog zou worden, meende ik het. 

Mijn plan was om vandaag weer te chillen aan de rivier. Morgen gaat het namelijk de hele dag regenen en zondag wil ik besteden aan het alvast inpakken van dingen. Daarna is de fam er!

Ja jongens. Het einde komt eraan. Ik had Loveless gekocht en het duurde even om het boek op mijn e-reader te krijgen (fuck you Adobe). Ik heb drinken en een appel en anti-muggenspul en zelfs een handdoek om op te zitten (ik zit er nu op). En toen nam ik de bus naar Open Kitchen. Aangezien er gisteren geen Open Kitchen was, besloot ik om vandaag zowel lunch als avondeten te doen. Het wordt een dure dag, maar het is mijn laatste kans! Ja, ik nam de bus. Het is 31 graden! Een shout out naar de tiener met een dikke zwarte hoodie. Dat moet een sauna zijn.

Voor de laatste Open Kitchen besloot ik om te VLOGGEN. De titel van de video is “De reden waarom ik nooit een professionele vlogger kan worden”, dus verwacht shit cameragebruik. Dit is geen goede video. *zucht* Daar gaan mijn non-existent YouTube dromen.

Ik nam eindelijk die Keniaanse snack. Ik en vergeten hoe de kraam heette (dat zoek ik op als ik thuis ben), maar de snack heette Sambusa. Het was gevuld met minced meat with ginger. (EDIT om 23:49: Het restaurant heet Skuhna. Het specialiseert zich in Zuid-Amerikaanse en Afrikaanse gerechten.)

Toen ging ik naar de Shambala voor kip teriyaki met pinda saus en "leek". Geen idee wat dat was, maar ze hebben het op Stardew Valley. Nou, het zijn een soort uien. Dit was tot nu toe mijn minst favoriete gerecht. De teriyaki saus was slap en de pindasaus was droog. Ach.

(EDIT OM 0:27: hi, ik ben een idioot. Leek is geen ui, maar prei. Nu heb ik geleerd dat ik niet van rauwe prei houd.)

Ik nam het mee naar de trappen en een gezin met twee kleine kinderen waren er ook. De kinderen waren aan het spelen bij het water en de vader probeerde de hele tijd foto’s te maken, dus ik leunde weg, zodat ik niet op de achtergrond zou staan. De vrouw naast me was eerst een beetje geïrriteerd, maar toen zag ze waarom ik naar haar toe ging leunen en toen heeft zij ook weer weg geleund. De kinderen waren gewoon heel schattig.

Bij de Veganika hadden ze ook rode limonade. Ik vroeg welke smaak het had, maar het had alcohol. Ik denk de verkoopster misschien dacht dat ik minderjarig ben. De andere gele limonade was mango. Ik vroeg even door en het bleek hibiscus ijsthee te zijn, dus ik nam de mango.

Op naar de rivier. Er stond een bandje te spelen en te zingen. Ik denk dat het volksmuziek was. Het was best cool, want de drie mannen waren relatief jong. Normaal zijn alle accordeonspelers oud (laatst waren er 3 in één straat!), dus dit was best cool. 

Maar ik liep door en bij de rand van het centrum maakte ik deze foto:

Toen liep ik naar de rivier.

Ineens zag ik een oudere man vissen! En hij ving ook nog eens een mega grote vis. Hij gaf het aan een andere man en die deed de spartelende vis in een plastic zak. Ik heb nog nooit echt iemand een vis zien vangen.

Ook is de mini bibliotheek nu hier en niet op het universiteitsplein. Dit is nu eenmaal een mooie plek om te lezen. Daarom ben ik hier.

MENSEN IK HEB NET EEN HOND GEAAID. Hondje dacht dat mijn plastic baker en rietje (van de mango limonade) speelgoed was, dus ineens stond er een hond tegen me aan. Hondje gooide het plastic alle kanten op, dus toen ik het wilde opruimen dacht ie dat het nog meer speelgoed was.

Daarna besloot de hond om achter een duif aan te gaan.

Mijn boek is uit en het was goed. Oh Alice Oseman boeken! Ik heb best snel gelezen. Dat had ik niet verwacht. Ik stopte alleen om deze foto’s te maken:

Er is ook weer een fluffy hond. Honden hebben zo'n goed leven. Je maakt ze blij door een stok te gooien. Ik zie ook honden zwemmen aan de andere kant van de rivier.

Ik heb nog een uur de tijd op te chillen. Om 19:00 heb ik afgesproken in Open Kitchen.

Dit is een fijne dag. Oké de hond blafte keihard, want hij is ongeduldig. Het duurt te lang voordat baasje de stok gooit.

Deze hond gaat alle kanten op. De vrouw die de stok gooide was niet eens het baasje. Toen ze weg ging, namen twee andere mannen het over. Inmiddels is de hond weg met het eigenlijke baasje.

En weer een flirt. Hij was tenminste aardig en we hebben misschien 15 minuutjes gepraat, want waarom ook niet. Toen hij vroeg of ik met hem naar de bergen wilde, gaf ik snel aan dat ik niet kon. Ik heb een bordje nodig met "please do not flirt". Het was mega awkward. En ook nog nadat ik Loveless had uitgelezen! De ironie!

Rond 18:45 ben ik weggegaan. Ik gaf meteen aan dat ik had afgesproken met mensen en dat ik dus niet lang kon blijven. Op weg naar het centrum realiseerde ik me dat de protesten er weer zijn. Ahhh, mijn laatste keer dat ik de protesten zie. Arme toeristen moeten zich toch rot schrikken. Voor locals is het inmiddels een normale vrijdag. Het plein stond helemaal vol, maar ik denk nu dat ze beginnen met hun parade richting het overheidsgebouw.

Yup, een gewone vrijdag in Ljubljana.

Het is bijna de 11e. Naya is nog steeds niet gevonden, maar ik had niets anders verwacht. Volgens de sheriff is er een kans dat ze nooit gevonden zal worden, want de bodem van het meer zit vol met grote takken en stenen. Het is een vreselijk idee. Ik heb geen hoop dat ze nog leeft, maar ik heb wel nog hoop dat ze wordt gevonden. I mean, de lichamen van de 7 andere drenkelingen werden wel nog gevonden.

Tijd gaat snel. Ik ga bijna naar huis. Misschien een goede tijd om mijn laatste mini witte Bueno op te eten.

Nom, nom, nom.

Ik had om 19:00 afgesproken met Cristina en Tabea. Zij zouden ook wat mensen meenemen, waaronder een Nederlander van de Radboud! Ik kende haar van naam, maar nu was ze er in het echt. Een Zwitsers iemand kwam ook even, maar zij was op weg naar het station. Ze nam namelijk de trein terug naar Zwitserland.

Alsnog, alles gaat snel. Mensen gaan weg. Het is mega raar. 

We liepen over de Open Kitchen en veel namen Keniaans eten, maar ik had in de middag al een snack van die kraam en ik wilde eigenlijk zoveel mogelijk kramen proberen. Het Keniaanse gerecht zag er zeer goed uit, maar ik nam paella bij Španska vas. En ik weet dat ik waarschijnlijk makkelijker paella kan vinden in Nederland (vergeleken met Keniaans eten), maar ik heb nog nooit paella gehad en er zaten mosselen in. Ik dacht er namelijk ook even aan om mosselen te nemen, maar een heel bord mosselen was misschien toch niet ideaal. Nu heb ik a) iets nieuws geprobeerd en b) toch nog mosselen gehad. 

En ik wil geen paella nemen bij de nieuwe paella plaats, want ik mis mijn No. 12 Grill! 

Er werd ook gefilmd. Twee mensen liepen rond en ze praatten terwijl een camera alles filmde en dat deden ze meerdere keren opnieuw. Er wordt veel gefilmd. Laatst werd dus op het plein gefilmd en vandaag werd ook bij de rivier gefilmd! Misschien zijn ze een nieuwe promotie-video aan het maken over Ljubljana om toerisme te stimuleren. Een “kijk, Ljubljana leeft weer!” video.

We aten en de Zwitserse nam afscheid. Iemand vertelde waarom Open Kitchen zo goed werkt: mensen kunnen allerlei restaurants proberen en iedereen in de groep kan iets totaal anders nemen.

Toen bleek dat de anderen een idee hadden: naar het kasteel om de zonsondergang te zien. Ik twijfelde eventjes of ik mee wilde, want ik had het kasteel nooit bezocht omdat ik onder de impressie was dat ik het met de fam zou doen, eerst in april en nu in juli.

Maar er waren een paar dingen:

De gedachte van een zonsondergang was mooi.

Mensen zijn leuk.

Nu kon ik kijken hoe je eigenlijk naar het kasteel kan komen.

Het was niet meer mega warm.

De rest zijn natuurlijk “actief”, dus ze namen de kortste, maar ook meest steile route omhoog. Arme ik. Er zijn dus een paar loop routes, een fiets route, en een kabelbaan. Ik weet niet wanneer de kabelbaan open is, want ik heb het niet meer actief gezien sinds de lockdown. Ik doe morgen wel onderzoek.

Het werd snel duidelijk dat de wolken de zonsondergang verborgen. Bummer. Maar wow, na 6 maanden ben ik eindelijk bij het kasteel en wat een uitzicht. Er was helaas veel geluid, want de microfoon van de protesterende mensen was luid. Maar ja, protest. Je raakt er aan gewend.

Ineens zagen we een hele groep mensen en de rest wilde daar bij zitten. Ik ken niemand, dus ik volgde. Nou, ik kende wel mensen. Kath en Sophia zaten er bij! Hoi! 

Helaas werd de groep te groot, want de Corona maatregelen gelden nog, dus wij vieren gingen aan de rand zitten. Je zag het kasteel wel beter.

De zonsondergang was niet geweldig en toen gingen de grote lichten ook nog eens aan. Wij zaten bijna recht voor een mega fel licht.

We hebben daar gezeten voor iets langer dan een uur. Het werd donker en het werd ook koud. Anderen hadden warme kleding meegenomen, maar dit was een last-minute decision voor mij, dus ik zat in mijn zomerjurkje. Uiteindelijk kwamen nog twee anderen erbij. Ik kende ze niet, maar die twee mannen kenden de rest. Hoera. Die twee begonnen ook te praten met de vreemden naast hen, dus opeens waren we met z’n 9en. Alhoewel, ik heb niet echt met ze gesproken, want we zaten in één lange lijn.

Toen had de rest het idee om naar Metelkova te gaan. Het was tijd voor mij om naar huis te gaan. Metelkova staat bekend voor de feesten en no bueno. Met z’n 6en liepen we terug naar beneden via een andere onverlichte weg met veel trappen. Serieus. Waarom was hier geen licht? Gelukkig hebben de meeste telefoons een zaklamp.

De hoogte van de traptreden was ook zo klein, dus ik moest echt kijken waar ik liep. Deze route is waarschijnlijk beter als je naar boven gaat (en als je sober bent).

Toen was het tijd voor afscheid. Iedereen houdt blijkbaar van knuffels geven. Oh, eenmaal op “ground level” was het weer mega heet. Het is gewoon kouder in de hoogte. Ik liep langs de Open Kitchen en ik heb het nog nooit gezien tijdens het einde. Er was een kleine file met busjes van alle restaurants en natuurlijk werd alles afgebroken. Die hete plaat waar ik langs liep (zie de vlog) zat nu vol met ijsblokjes.

Ik liep naar de bussen en ik belde de fam, want Tabea had me een heel goed idee gegeven voor de reis: stuur mijn UoL acceptance letter naar de fam! Ze kende namelijk iemand die geweigerd werd aan de Oostenrijkse grens, maar toen hij kon aangeven dat hij zijn broer kwam ophalen, mocht hij wel naar binnen. Nou, de fam mag nog steeds naar binnen wegens toerisme, maar the general idea is dat het altijd handig is om meer redenen te hebben.

En nu drink ik thee. Ik ga nog wat eten. Have a cat.
