Day 3 features one of my newer ocs, Graves Spade!  He’s some sort of dog alien and a very talented hacker - underneath that hoodie is a wealth of experimental and often self-installed cybernetic enhancements that he uses to gain access to whatever information he so desires.  Its not without its downsides, however, and his eyes and tail have become something like permanent exhaust ports, constantly seeping an inky black fluid generated by his modifications.

I don't have proof so feel free to not post it but kemikel is pretty lax so I don't know why manta grems can't be traded? I had a mantafae (kemikel closed species) and was allowed to void it/change the species. It may have changed but I think grems are just being well grems.

you can ask kemikel themselves but in the current rules it's stated mantagrems cannot be voided due to not being densy's idea, so you'll have to look into that yourself

Question for grems, can you void them? I dont want to sell/trde mine because they are gifts from friends, myos and etc. But i dont want to be part of this shitty community anymore.

The mods are horrible little children who misread everything to feel attacked. Rene never asked for daily update it was a suggestion. They could easily change it to a weekly update or whatever they feel comfortable but i bet their asses are always scratching their bum accomplishing nothing thats why they so afraid of transparency.

And the toxic community with their toxic positivism, whaaa leave the mods alone we dont care if we wait till year 3000 for updates we happy like this, wtf.

yeah you can void them but they make you do it one at a time probably and mantagrems can't be voided (but probably ask kemikel themselves). read more on the rules to voiding for yourself

When you find something truly original and one of a kind, please drop a us a link, we’d all love to see it. As far as this conversation is going, if you think the world is going to shit over adopt copying or similarities, take a step outside or turn on the news. It might put it into perspective for you. They simply asked for input, a big step above the people that blatantly and willfully take and make what they want without care.

It’s no wonder people are afraid to share their ideas, they’re branded lazy because they had another dragon idea that may share similarities to 15 other dragon species already on deviantart. How many times have people posted here about their fears of sharing their ideas and getting attacked by white knights. Nothing is ever original anymore, all we can do now is put our spin on already existing ideas.

There is nothing malicious about it. Most aren’t doing it with ill intent. Apart from lore, you are going to find many popular species on deviantart share appearances, many to the point you cant even pinpoint which species they belong to. You can be an asshole and take every inch of a design and replicate it to a t, or you can put your own flair on the idea and make it another one of a kind design. Dogs species aren’t original, fox species aren’t original, and many more cs that aren’t original.

If I make a manta ray design or species am I directly copying manakites? Can I have a dog with bird feet with out it being a fooling? a lion with a unicorn horn and puffy tail that’s not a dandylyon. a humanoid deer with a fish tail or will the deereon crew harrass me? Can there ever be a compromise?

We just had a comparison between bowroos and strudels. One created unknowingly after the other. Two species that could be the exact same thing. Neither owner cares about the others creation. Was the idea really so generic that 2 people had the same idea? Magic mites that are literal direct copies of pacas with a few added features and you had people defending them. Saying we couldn’t really be going after other worm species. I think this is what anon meant when they talked about double standards.

Nothing is original anymore, this is coming from a cs owner, who realizes my creations aren’t 100% inventive and there are going be others who have the same ideas, others that already had the same ideas. All the people that populate the world, you’re not some chosen one with some sacred idea that no one else hasn’t thought up before. The difference is how you approach these issues.

I like kemikel’s designs, i’ve admired their work and the quality they put into their designs, but I can guarantee that somewhere (even outside of da) someone’s had these kinds of concepts before. People can coexist with different takes on the same ideas.
