Harry Potter AU Characters

This is my interpretation of what the characters would be like in the Harry Potter Universe.

William Sherlock Scott Holmes

-Blood Status: Pureblood

-Wand: Ten inches, Blackthorn, Dragon Heartstring

-Best Class(es): Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies

-House: Ravenclaw (The sorting hat had a hatstall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin but Sherlock refused to go to Slytherin because that was the house his brother, Mycroft, had been in and he refused to be in the same house as his brother)

-Patronus: Otter

-Quidditch: Uninterested Bystander

-Blood Status: Pure Blood

-Bio: Sherlock got his acceptance letter on the day his brother accepted a position in the Ministry of Magic. Overshadowing his brother’s achievement because he had shown no exceptional magical talent from an early age. But what he lacked in magical talent he made up for in intelligence. So he was sorted into Ravenclaw house. He comes off as very cold and distant and did not have many (any) friends until his third year when he met John Watson in Care of Magical Creatures after being assigned a partner. He is a pureblood and his family has a rich history in the fifteen pureblood families, although he despises the pureblood status and will often not tell people that he is related to a person of high power in the Ministry. During the First Wizarding War he joined the Order of Phoenix with John against his parents wishes and has had a rocky relationship with them since.

John Hamish Watson

-Blood Status: Muggleborn

-House: Gryffindor

-Wand: Nine inches, Rosewood, Unicorn Hair

-Best Class(es): Care of Magical Creatures, Divination

- Patronus: Hedgehog

-Quidditch: Enthusiastic Bystander

-Bio: John received his letter a week before his eleventh birthday. His parents were surprised and pleased that they had a wizard for a son, while his older sister, Harriet, was jealous. When he was sorted the hat had a hatstall between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. In the end the hat chose bravery over loyalty, and placed him in Gryffindor. He had a couple o f friends but in third year he met Sherlock Holmes in Care of Magical Creatures. After he had graduated from Hogwarts, the First Wizarding War began. He became a member of the Order of Phoenix and fought hard. He was shot in the leg by a spell that broke the bone and when it was healed, it didn’t heal right, causing him to have a limp.

Samuel Jonathan “Sam” Winchester

-Blood Status: Half-blood

-House: Ravenclaw

-Best Class: Transfiguration

-Wand: Twelve inches, Rowan, Kneazle Whiskers

-Patronus: Moose

-Quidditch: Chaser

-Bio: After Sam got his letter his father was disappointed. He did not have “normal” sons. Which caused his sons to grow apart from him and close to each other. It also caused them to distance themselves from their classmates. Sam was very studious in his years at Hogwarts and was one of the top in his class. He achieved Prefect in fifth year and got high grades in his OWLS and NEWTS. After Hogwarts he joined the Order of Phoenix and became good friends with James Potter and his wife, Lily. He was devastated when they were killed by He-who-Must-Not-Be-Named. He became the DADA professor in Harry’s second year and met the son of James and Lily twelve years after their death. When the Second Wizarding War started he valiantly gave his life in he battle of Hogwarts. Dean was devastated.

Dean Alexander Winchester

-Blood Status: Half-Blood (Mother was a witch, Father was a muggle)

-House: Gryffindor (the sorting hat barely touched his head before it called out Gryffindor)

-Best Class(es): Defense Against the Dark Arts

-Wand: Eleven inches, Cherry, Phoenix Feather

-Patronus: Squirrel

-Quidditch: Chaser

-Bio: Dean’s mother did not tell his father that she was a witch and Dean’s father only discovered her secret after she was killed by dark wizards. He hoped that his children would never become wizards and was disappointed when Dean got his letter a month before his eleventh birthday. Dean was sorted into Gryffindor before the hat even touched his head. He became a very good student in Defense Against the Dark Arts. He had some friends but he met his best friends, Castiel, in fourth year. Castiel was a third year Hufflepuff who was able to summon a full patronus at the age of thirteen. After Hogwarts he became an Auror. When the first Wizarding War started he became a member of the Order of Phoenix and hunted down Death Eaters with his brother until the end of the war.

Castiel Grigori “Cass” Scamander

-Blood Status: Half-blood

-House: Hufflepuff

-Best Class(es): Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures

-Wand: Thirteen inches, Willow, Unicorn Hair

-Quidditch: Chaser

-Bio: Castiel was born to a wizard father and an overly religious muggle mother. She named him after the angel that presided over Thursdays. Castiel’s father did not tell his mother that he was a wizard until they had Castiel. This caused his mother to become angered at Cass’ father but since she did not believe in divorce she decided to stay with him, at least until Cass was old enough to take him away from his father. After Castiel got his letter for Hogwarts, three days before his eleventh birthday, his mother decided to leave them the day after he received his letter. She could not deal with having a wizard son, something she believed was one of the most evil beings in the world. Castiel was devastated to lose his mother and vowed never to fall in love or get married after she left. He had seen what the years had done to his parents and he leaving the the final knife in the coffin. He excelled at muggle studies and care of magical creatures. And he especially loved to study and take care of the magical creatures in his class. Many people said that he would become a magizoologist, like his uncle, Newt Scamander. In his third year he met Dean Winchester, a fourth year Gryffindor who was one of the chasers on their team and was fawned over by all the girls. They had a strong bond that turned into an even stronger friendship. In Castiel’s sixth year he realized that he had developed feelings for Dean but because of his promise to himself he refused to act upon those feelings. After school they kept in touch but did not see each other often. Castiel traveled the world with his uncle’s case collecting new species to add to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Jonathan Alexander “John” Mitchell

-Blood Status: Half-Blood

-House: Slytherin

-Best Class(es): Potions

-Wand: Eight inches, Ebony, Veela Hair

-Patronus: Bat

-Quidditch: Keeper

-Bio: John, known as Mitchell to his friends, got his letter the day before his eleventh birthday. Much to the surprise of his parents who did not expect anything from him because he did not show that much magical talent. His mother, a member of the noble Black family, was cast out after she married a muggleborn. She tried to divorce her husband but found out she was pregnant with John. So she is very cold and distant towards him because he is keeping her in an unhappy marriage. John was sorted into Slytherin almost immediately and thrived at Potions. He was known as one of the bad boys throughout the school. His closest friend was George Sands, a Hufflepuff, in the same year as him. After graduating Hogwarts his mother forced him to join the Dark Lord as a Death Eater and during the war he was bitten by a vampire and changed.

George Sands Jr.

-Blood Status: Pureblood

-House: Hufflepuff

-Best Class(es): Charms

-Wand: Ten inches, Hawthorn, Kelpie Hair

-Patronus: Arctic Wolf

-Quidditch: Apathetic Bystander

-Bio: George got his letter on the eve of the full moon, a full three months before his eleventh birthday, His parents were overjoyed but fearful. George had been attacked by a notorious werewolf for some offensive language his father had used in the Leaky Cauldron. Although Dumbledore assured them that he would be safe and that Hogwarts had another student with Lycanthropy. They were still worried that he would attack a classmate or faculty member. When he was sorted the hat stayed on his head for a good five minutes before it decided to place him in Hufflepuff. He excelled at Charms and became prefect in fifth year. Although he did sometimes get into trouble with Mitchell. After Hogwarts he became the DADA professor for a year and then joined the Order of Phoenix to fight the Dark Lord.

Jackson Alexander “Jack” Sparrow

-Blood Status: Half-blood

-House: Slytherin

-Best Class(es): Arithmancy

-Wand: Ten inches, Aspen, Dragon Heartstring

-Quidditch: Beater

-Bio: Jack was born to a muggleborn wizard and a pureblood witch, who was born into the Black family. He was an unusual child. He though outside the box and constantly focused on stuff that his mother would deem stupid. Jack received his letter three weeks after his eleventh birthday and both of his parents were overjoyed. When he arrived at Hogwarts, he was sorted into Slytherin for his cunning wit and deceit, inherited from his mother, that allowed him to attain his goals. He loved going to school, especially when he was able to prank other kids in Hogwarts. He gave the Marauders a run for their money. After school his parents (his mother in particular) convinced him to join the Dark Lord. He became a Death Eater for a time but renounced it after the Dark Lord fell.

Robert Franklin Jackaby (It’s a really good book, you should go check it out)

-Blood Status: Half-blood

-House: Ravenclaw

-Best Class(es): Divination

-Wand: Fifteen inches, Ash, Unicorn Hair

-Quidditch: Semi-interested Bystander

-Bio: Born to a muggle father and a witch mother, Robert from an early age showed signs of being abnormal. In the wizarding sense, at least, he talked about creatures that no one else could see and talked to “imaginary friends” that when he told his family had the same stories and names as their deceased family members. When he turned seven, his mother was killed by Death Eaters and Robert’s father tried his best to raise him in a somewhat ordinary manner. hen Robert got his letter for Hogwarts his father was pleasantly surprised but also overjoyed. He was sorted into Ravenclaw immediately and then became friends with Sherlock, who was in the same house but a year older. They both admired each other’s intellect, but Sherlock thought he was a little weird when he would sputter off about nargles or other animals that Sherlock knew were definitely not real. Not many people called him Robert, many called him Jackaby and after Hogwarts, when he began writing novels and textbooks for the Wizarding World he used the name R. F. Jackaby. He became an investigator of paranormal that could not be explained by the Wizarding World and was followed closely by a young muggleborn witch named Abigail Rook.

Bruce Oliver Wayne

-Blood Status: Half Blood

-House: Ravenclaw

-Best Class(es): Study of Ancient Runes

-Wand: Eleven inches, English Oak, Dragon Heartstring

-Quidditch: Seeker

-Bio: Born to a pureblood witch and a muggleborn wizard, Bruce was the only child in his family. Both of his parents died when he was a young boy and the muggle butler, Alfred, raised Bruce. When he turned eleven he received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. At first, Alfred was confused but then he realized what it was and told Bruce why his parents had died, protecting what they believed in. He was sorted into Ravenclaw for his intellect and tried out for the Quidditch in second year when he became seeker. After school he joined the Order of Phoenix to stop Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
