music (old stuff but maybe you’ll find this amusing)
As someone who’s been digging NIN trap remixes (amongst many other styles) for years I just want to say how happy it makes me that someone accidentally made one with a really singable chorus and whistle-y bit at the end.
Yeah i’m coming at this from the wrong end of the stick but don’t you love it when something you like goes mainstream.
Like LOTR wasn’t exactly unknown but making references was like getting ****übernerd**** lit up in neon lights above your head then Peter Jackson* made it just fine for me to go “oh yeah it’s like that moment when Bilbo gets his sights on the ring again” and nobody bats an eyelid.
*still mad he didn’t do Eowyn and Faramir justice
Here are a few NIN remixes that are both very NIN and very not
Only (Richard X remix)
Imagine a joyeous aerobics class dance about nihilism

The Warning (Stefan Goodchild Featuring Doudou N'Diaye Rose)
Famed drummaster N’Diaye Rose’s beats bring the oomph and heartbeat to an alien message

Nine Inch Nails - Vessel (Bill Laswell Remix) I heard you liked industrial so I put industrial² on your industrial²!
(The Losing Control version by Pushing Reality can be downloaded here)

Nine Inch Nails - Me, I'm Not (Void Mix by the:pawn.project)
That piano ballad in the middle of “Everyday is exactly the same”? Make it into a full length song about trying to keep a grip on your identity
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNgzJPeHIhc
Nine Inch Nails - No, You Don't (Version) Manipulated by Keith Hillebrandt
Hillebrandt, sound engineer, likes grungy and wierd. This version takes an angry, wild song and gives it steely resolve.

Nine Inch Nails - God Given - Reaps Remix
Do you want Reznor to sound like a ‘trendy’ youth pastor leading worship? Here ya go. Perfect irony for this song.
