Broke: Boy needs Girl's help to transform because she's Magical and he's Muscular and he Must Protect Her but he isn't Strong Enough so she says "we'll go together".

Woke: They help each other change in different ways because relationships are about give-and-take. She says "We'll go together, because we're a team."

BESPOKE: Boy needs Girl's help to transform because she's Magical and strong and he's Not Magical Enough but he's trying so hard to be reliable, so she grabs a sword and goes into battle with him because together they're stronger and despite their differences they can't help but feel feelings for each other. She says "We'll do this together- because our hearts are in the same place, and both of us need this if we want to move forward."

Anyway I had a dream about my book characters getting ready for a fight and Lilly helped Keir change into his wolf form and then she grabbed a weapon and rode him into battle like a fucking War Hound and honestly it's the most Power Couple thing I've ever seen.

Join a young girl named Lilly as she's stolen away from her typical life and thrust into the very center of an otherworldly conflict. Not a single person is as they appear, and even the narrator can't be trusted with the truth! Which prince will become king? What really happened to the queen? What drove the king mad? Can anyone truly change their fate? Can any good possibly come of a prophecy so vague, that someone just grabbed the first brunette girl they saw?

This isn't your typical fantasy adventure... and by the end, you might wish you'd never travelled to The Forgotten Lands.

I'm going on record to say that im curious about the art and fics people will make of my characters KNOWING they're related. Crowlyn and Keirul have an interesting dynamic, and with Crow being flamboyantly gay/queer in all the best ways and Keir possibly being bi... That'll be intriguing.

Like nothing anyone else does will have any influence on the canon ships cause I have things planned out for at least 2 more generations, but it'll be interesting to see how people run with everything.

Obviously the main reason I want to be a writer is so I can see all of the shipping art and porn everyone draws of my characters. And then so I can laugh when I reveal character X and character Y are related and half the fandom reaches for the brain bleach and deletes all their fics and art.

DEAR FELLOW WRITERS:

Question for the group chat! What little characterization/writer rules/motifs do you hold you and your characters to?

I have a couple, but I think one of my funniest ones is that only one of my characters is allowed to say "fuck" in any given universe in which I write. No other characters say or even hint at the word. In Fate's Crystal Majesty and its universe, only Keir is allowed to say Fuck. I like letting him have that word because he's otherwise distressingly polite and diplomatic... So he gets to say Fuck. As a treat. He deserves it.

Which character from your WIP becomes the fan favorite?

Probably either Crowlyn or Lilly!

Crow because he's a very powerful gay mage with slight sociopathic tendencies and the same fashion sense as David Bowie's Goblin King.

Lilly because she's an actually strong and brave young girl who calls old and scar-mottled dragons beautiful, kicks gods in the shin, and is brave enough to admit when she's wrong.

Or maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and it'll be Keir? Who knows! But I can't wait to finish the book and find out!
