pro hero!hawks x reader drabble ☁️ ོ

a/n: i just thought this would be cute, hawks getting all upset- I mean- Keigo. 🙄

“You know for someone who’s always out and about, you always seem to make time for me.” You softly smile upon hearing your front door open and then close.

“How’d you know it was me?” He asked, taking off his coat with a tussle.

You paused your tv show before turning around to look at him.

“Can smell the kfc on you from a mile away” you teased as he scoffed in offense. “Woah, I wear the best cologne.”

“You mean axe body spray?” You added, his lips escaping a laugh. “Not to much on me birdie.” His eyes followed yours as you got up from your spot on the couch to be in his embrace, a smile peering through his lips as he sweetly pecked you.

“Mmm..” you hummed in satisfaction. “How was work sweet boy?”

“The same as always.” He replied, holding you in his arms tiredly. You noticed how he tried to hold himself up. You knew how exhausted he was from working so often, and how bad he wanted to collapse into your arms. Still, he always kept that last bit of energy for you. It didn’t matter how much of it he had left, he’d always be strong for you.

“You need to get sleep baby.” You said, pushing the hair out of his face, “nah im fine, I wanna spend some time with you.”

“You can do that in the bedroom.” You added as a smirk grew on his face.

“Not in that way weirdo!” You gently punch his arm making him laugh. “Oh but I was hoping~”

“and I hope you go to bed, finally~” you cut him off.

He looked into your eyes for a moment before saying “your right love, guess I should start listening to you from now on.”

“Took you how long to realize that?” He hummed as he gently placed his head down to rest on you. “Not that long~”

You sighed out a slight smile, your hand playing with his hair.

“Hey.” You said, making him slightly come up. “Yeah?”

“I love you, hawks.”

His head popped up, a look of disgust on his face.

"Excuse me??" He said, pouting.

You can’t help but start laughing at him. He looks like you just insulted endeavor to his face.

“UHM who is this other man in your life??!!” He says dramatically.

“Ughh, I love you Keigo~”

“Mm..” he settles back down into your comfort, “much better.”

A nice trick I've learned in my years of being disappointed and/or emotionally tortured by stories and characters that I need to end a certain way for my wellbeing; pretend they're all actors acting out the story.

The character that you needed to live died? No they didn't, they're an actor in an AU.

Something horrible happened to a character that you can't get behind? Nope, they're an actor.

Unfulfilling interpersonal relationship that you know has potential but never got the screen time it deserves? They're actors, and behind the scenes they're bffs, in a romantic relationship, whatever.

Story didn't go how you wanted? There's a new, shitty director who doesn't listen to what the audience wants, and the characters (actors) are pissed too and rewrite the story.

Am I delusional? Yes. Does it make me feel better? Also yes.

I'm an expert at soothing fictional hurts, trust me and try it.

keigos hands are safe. they're better than a cozy blanket on a chilly night. you swear you could spend hours in his arms. weather it's those days you cant stop laughing with him as you're bundled up in his arms or those days you sob into them. they're always so soft, so genuine. so loving. you love his breath. when his chest rises and falls with you laying on top of it. how he drifts off holding you, his arms still keeping you secure in his space. he won't ever loosen his grip.

Hawks X Reader | When You Two Started Getting Closer

A/N: I've had this idea in mind for sometime so here it is.

I could see that he would be a little bit uncomfortable at first. Not that he doesn't like it. He did, but he has never let anyone this near to his REAL personality. He always put on a show for the world, but you could see right through it all.

At first, he always brushed it off, but every encounter with you ended with him thinking, "Am I that transparent?" So to test it once more, he ends up "accidentally" bumping into you a lot. And every time, you left him even more insecure in his abilities to hide it all from the world.

You always would ask a question that'd hit a nerve but ended the conversation with such soothing words that would make him look at himself differently, in a good way.

You can see the good in him, and he always saw the bad. You were determined not to be his support system but rather to show him what you can see because you want him to be independent in his ability to bring himself up when he is down emotionally. But you ended up as both in the end.

After a couple of months, he was hooked on you! The people he hung out with were other pro heroes who would repeat the same nonsense things repeatedly or he was with press & media people who were toxic as hell! They knew exactly how to use him for their profits and hawks knew it all. But the cycle of always being in the limelight was so natural to him that now he cannot live without it.

But with you, it was all different. You could see his insecurities and his own "made-up flaws" oh-so-clearly. You confused him with your kindness and your affection. His mind would be running with questions like, "What are you even getting out of this?". This is why with you, he could feel like he just wants to let out all the emotions that he has been burying for all these years. 

He felt safe but he didn't know it yet because he never felt it before. He didn't know how it felt to be emotionally safe with someone. This broke your heart because you could see how kind he was and how observant he was for others and would sacrifice a lot for them, who would never do the same for him. Also, you can see how he is wrapped up in these materialistic dopamine kicks that are actually hurting his inner peace and happiness.

You had no motive to be with him at first because of his Playboy persona. So all you wanted for your favorite hero was to be happy off-camera too. But as you started understanding him more, somehow helping him healed you as well.

He'd get distant at times when you were too straightforward because you scared him. And you understood that, so you tried to be as subtle in helping as you could, but sometimes you just couldn't help but state the obvious. And he cannot stay away from you for long too so he'd come back around.

It came to a point that you two had very deep feelings for each other but were just confused if these were because of the way you two can see through each other or do you actually like each other.

If you could see from a third person's perspective, it could have not been any clearer that you two were in love.
