Okay so, I got inspired by @imagineleonkennedy to make this little terrarium okay but mine got ever sadder. So what if yes the two lovers can never be together and what if, mermaids live much longer than humans. So after her human girlfriend died she goes the the beach where she was hurried and spends the rest of her life singing a song about her lost love. The key necklace at the top is something the human gave the mermaid to always remember her.

Those who travel near the beach often hear the sad song amongst the waves and they call it "The Lament of the Sea"
