“C’mon, Keeb! It’ll be fun!”

“I-I’m not so sure about this..I’d like to swim, but..you know I will only sink to the bottom of the-”

“Then we can just hang out on the stairs. That’s the shallowest place.” You chuckled as you half-dragged the robot to the pool’s stairs despite his protests.

It was a sunny day at the academy, so you couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with your friends--especially K1B0. He was understandably nervous being around water, though you reassured him he won’t drown on your watch.

“Maybe Miu should’ve installed some flotation devices or something into ya,” you remarked as you sat down on the stairs, dipping your feet into the water. But when you noticed K1B0 still standing there rigidly, you moved over to make room for him. “C’mon. I promise it’s okay. You trust me, right?”

“Well..I trust you more than Kokichi.” He eyed the aforementioned male who was chasing Kaito around the deck with a noodle--only to be shoved into the pool--before looking back at you with a smile. “So I’ll take my chances. Thank you for being so considerate, [y/n].”

As he sat beside you, he initially tensed when his legs became submerged under the water. But he still tried relaxing.

"Aww is someone afraid of short-circuiting?" A certain supreme leader sneered as he popped his head up, grinning. "It's no fun just sitting there, ya know. But maybe it's for the best. You could get us all electrocuted!"

Immediately K1B0 scowled at him. He was about to make his usual "that's robophobic" remark...when you suddenly took his hand, catching him completely off-guard.

"H-Huh?'

"You don't have to respond to him all the time, he just wants a reaction out of you." You told him. "It's okay to ignore him."

Sure enough, that seemed to work, as he just stared at you while Kokichi eventually got bored and swam off.

But even so, you didn't let go of K1B0's hand.

A blush began forming on his face. “A-Ah...[y/n]...I um..” He looked down at your intertwined fingers.

“Oh, I just did this to help you relax. But..if you’re uncomfortable I-” You went to let go of his hand...only for him to squeeze it tighter.

“N-No! It’s...It’s okay. I don’t mind this one bit.” His smile returned. “Touch is a critical component in further solidifying our friendship as human and robot. So it doesn’t bother me.”

"Okay, if you're alright with it then that's fine." Sighing, you squeezed his hand in turn before gazing back at all your friends splashing around in the pool.

Saniwa woke up today feeling a bit light headed, but it’sjust because she slept a bit late that’s all.

As per usual she got to the kitchen to help with the breakfast,while she’s at it she decided to take a pill when her dizziness got worse. She tookthe pill on her hand, cup of water on the other, and swallowed it. Just whenshe felt it going into her stomach a concern voice came from behind “are youalright Saniwa?”.. she turned to face the worried face of Yasusada , “yesYasusada I’m fine”.  but that wasn’t enoughto erase the worried expression on his face. “didn’t sleep good last night,that’s all”, and she gave him an assuring smile, “okay good, if you needanything let me know!” she got a bit surprised at the sudden solicitude butnodded in agreement.

Through the day, her dizziness kept getting worse, but whocares she still had work to do and swords to take care of. She knew when she getsto take a nap it’ll go away, but what she didn’t know that she was collapsingway before that time comes. While she was doing some laundry the air around herbecame tight, what is happening, is a storm coming or something? But it’s asunny day. A bit cold tho. So cold actually… too cold she can’t stand itanymore.

Before she could turn to take one of the blankets and wrapherself with it, she saw the world turning and twisting in every direction.

The next moment she’s lying motionless on the ground.

A cold hand was pressing on hers, voices echoing somewherenear, she couldn’t tell what was happening at first, but she quickly recognizedthe closest voice “Saniwa you’re awake!! Thank goodness! Are you ok? Do youneed something to eat? Should I bring you some water?”. She hardly opened hereyes to see Yasusada’s eyes almost tearing down. “eghh , what happened?”

“Kanesada-san found you unconscious a couple hours ago… whathappened?”

“ I felt a bit cold. I might have a fever… would you pleasecall Toushirou for me I need…” before she could complete her sentence he disappearedout of the room. A moment later he came running with Toushirou on his hand.

“ahh Saniwa what happened? Have you eaten anything bad?”

“NO SHE IS SICK SHE IS ILL DO SHOMETHING”

Both Saniwa and Toushirou were taken aback from hisreaction.

“Yasusada, I’m fine I think it’s just cold Toushirou wi..” “NOStop talking right now!!” he turned to face the other startled boy in the room “dosomething don’t let her die today I’ll get you anything you need should I goget some medicine from your room?”

Saniwa took a moment to adjust what he just said, after allthinking with a heat is not an easy task.

She sat down and looked at Yasusada, her face says she knowwhat’s happening now, “Yasusada, I’m not going to die. I haven’t been taking agood care of myself lately, so it’s no wonder I’m sick now. Toushirou alsoknows that this fever is nothing, right Toushiro?”

“will, if you don’t take enough vitamins you might actually getwo…” he was cut out from the tow people glaring at him, one with a poor worriedglare, the other with a death glare. “ac-actually… what I meant to say is…”

“SHE WONT BE OKAY WILL SHE????”

“ahh Yasusada come here” she gave up! Now either confirm sheis fine or else this boy will panic if you think he wasn’t already.    

“what.. why.. you’re sick you might get worse I can’t comecloser”

“Yamatonokami Yasusada, come here, right now!”

He hesitated for a moment, then did what he was asked to do.

“it’s because of Okita isn’t it?”

“what?”

“I’m fine! A bitt ill yes, but fine. Toushirou will takecare of me, and you will help. If you do a good job, then I’ll be back like anew one!”

“but..”

“no objections. You listen to what I say and everything willwork out” after the last word escaped her mouth, she felt her head turning abit.

“that’s not what I wanted to say” he said, getting closer toher.

“what is it then”… oh no it’s getting worse

“I don’t want a new one, I want our Saniwa to be the same asshe has always been” he is so close

“so sweet of you to say that”… way too close

“I will take care of you, we all will do” he’s so warm…

He wrapped he’s hand around her tugging her closer to hisbody.

And that all what it took to get her to sleep again.

She woke up the next morning feeling something heavy on herstomach, she looked down, and there he was, sleeping like the little angel heis, his head resting over the dozen blankets she was under. She couldn’t help butsmile at the pleasant sight. Also, she was feeling better than yesterday.

As the day went bay, and everyone was doing their job oftaking care of their precious master, she might regret asking this one particularbean to take care of her himself.

 From the moment he woke up she was NOT ALLOUDto do anything by herself. He brushed her hair, washed her face, fed her somewarm soup, wrapped her in seven blankets, and cuddled her to sleep.

… needless to say, he ended up getting infected as a reward.
