In the last episode, both Ibuki and Shima had the same nightmare. But it's interesting if you think what makes it a "nightmare" to them is completely different. Ibuki's nightmare is seeing Shima died while Shima's nightmare is seeing Ibuki killed someone.

A Fascinated Police Buddy Drama : "MIU404"
MIU404 is one of my favorite TV dramas.
First of all, unfortunately I probably can't describe less than half of fascinating of MIU404. But you read my recommendation and if you feel MIU404 only a little bit interesting, you should watch the drama.
MIU is short for Mobile Investigation Unit, 404 is a call sign of protagonists IBUKI Ai(performed by AYANO Go) and SHIMA Kazumi(performed by HOSHINO Gen).
IBUKI and SHIMA are police officers. They solve each cases in each episodes.
MIU404 surprises me, shock me, makes me tears, makes me laugh/smile and satisfies me every time I watch. If you want to be excited, I recommend you Episode 1. Watching episode 2, you can't help crying with all your energy. When you watch episode 3-5, you will deeply think about your life. Episode 6 and 8 make you mixed feeling. Episode 9-11 may be a little complicated, but you will be definitely satisfied when you finish watching them. However, I'm confident that all of episodes have all aspects of every feeling.
Especially l'm impressed with episode 6(2020/7/31 broadcasted). SHIMA Kazumi's former buddy KOSAKA has been passed before the beginning of this drama. SHIMA and his former coworkers think that reason why KOSAKA was killed is SHIMA. That's why SHIMA is rumored "Aibo Goroshi(buddy killer)". IBUKI investigates truth of case of KOSAKA.
Because of IBUKI's investigation, finally SHIMA understood KOSAKA's true belief. In our (audience's) view, SHIMA who had felt guilty seems to be healed by IBUKI.
However, ending of the episode, he sited on a place KOSAKA's body was found and said 「お前の相棒が伊吹みたいなやつだったらな(If your buddy was a person like IBUKI, you would not be passed away.)」 So I listened this line and recognized that SHIMA was never healed.
Just after episode 6 broadcasted, I searched "#MIU404" on Twitter and I found NOGI Akiko (MIU404 screenwriter) 's tweet.
Before episode 6 broadcasted on TV, NOGI Akiko had posted following comment on Twitter.
Before episode 6 broadcasted, MIU404 official Twitter account posted "Mr.IBUKI, we hope that you heal Mr.SHIMA!" On 2020/07/29, Ms.Nogi did quote tweet the post and posted "Human can't so much easily heal someone and aren't healed."
In my view, MIU404 shows that human always make mistakes, choose wrong choices and worry whether their choice is right, but they get back on their feet as many times even if their choice is not correct.

MIU 404 Whump List
These dorks <3 I love them with all my heart
Synopsis: The Mobile Investigative Unit (or "MIU") of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department attempts to solve cases within 24 hours.
Detective Shima Kazumi is selected as a new member of MIU. He is intelligent, with excellent observation and communication skills. He is unable to find a partner in MIU and is ordered to partner with Ibuki Ai, who works at a police substation. Ibuki applied for MIU, but he failed. He is in excellent physical condition, but he lacks knowledge and experience as a detective.
Genre: Cop/Crime, Mystery, Bromance
Whumpees: Ibuki Ai (left) played by Ayano Go and Shima Kazumi (right) played by Hoshino Gen
!!Spoilers Below!!
Warning!! Drug use is a big thing in this series. They are shown and people are shown taking them on screen (idk if it can be triggering but I'm telling you just in case). Also in ep. 3 there are mentions of sexual assault, and shown a prevented attempt of one.

KaiShin and IbSm
I dont know if i have a type when it comes to OTPs but sometimes I get blindsided by myself when i realise that there's always some sort of similarities between some of them
Like, Kaito's wild, friendly yet dangerous personality is remarkably similar to Ibuki. While both Shinichi and Shima are quite blunt with a similar deadpanned snark to them, more so whenever they try to reign in their crazier counterparts
It's just so much fun watching them. Now i want nothing more than to see KaiShin working together even more than they do now. Like having a real partnership alongside their rivalry
I feel like if anyone ever wants to see what KaiShin could be like teaming up as partners, solving crimes with ongoing snark, then I hope you'd give MIU404 a chance because it's just so much fun 🤣

Do you think that the characters in the couch scene (pixel art) have a big significance where they're sitting/standing? I was thinking of that those who were more far away from Sara (Shin and Alice) were the ones who distrusted Sara the most, and the ones who are the nearest are the ones who trust her more, but idk... Thoughts?
I agree with you that the people closest with Sara are the ones nearest to her!
Sara is sitting closest to Joe, Reko, and Gin. I would argue that these three are her most caring allies and have pretty clear intentions about caring for her wellbeing.
The next people she's closest to is Nao, Mishima, Kanna, and Q-Taro. These seem like allies she's close with, but with a certain distance.
Nao is absolutely Sara's ally, but you could argue that Nao has a certain independence from her. She's able to do the Mishima AI plot without Sara, and she's also able to make it far with the sacrifice card.
Mishima is an ally as well, but he died so quickly it's hard to fully count him as one.
More Undercut
Q-Taro cares about Sara, but his selfishness makes him hold a certain distance from most of the cast until 3A-3B. So he's an ally but it took him a bit to be a fully reliable one.
The same could go for Kanna. She cares about Sara so much, but she has screwed her over a few times while she was working with Shin. So they're close but with some distance.
Kai and Keiji are the a little further then the others. They care about Sara a lot, but they're both secretive people who seem to be wary of fully trusting others. So while they do care deeply about her wellbeing, an argument could be made that there isn't a lot of trust between Sara and Keiji and Sara and Kai. At least not until later in their arcs.
Alice and Shin are farthest from the group. This makes sense as they're loners. Yet they also hold Sara more at arms length then anyone else in the cast. They try to kill her during the second main game and don't trust her for a long time. Shin never learns to fully trust her if you play the logic route.
So I think you could be onto something about the placements! The couch sprites are something I'm really excited to look back on after the final chapter is released because I feel like it's possible that this pixel art has more foreshadowing then we can be aware of right now.

MIU 404
