This artist uses wood panels to draw/paint on and the oil pastels come out beautifully and bright on it. Defiantly need to try this ASAP.

The colours and so concentrated and pigmented, nothing like what you get on paper I think.

This is very difficult aaaaaa :_) obviously all the aruani related artists that I follow inspire me a lot, maybe we have very different art styles but I love seeing their art and they encourage me to embrace and enjoy the fandom as I am still a bit self-conscious about that "nerdy" part of myself.

I am kinda shy to mention specific people but let's see...... @nobluesea, @annawayne, @lidatan, @brbarou, @phyroblue, @ghostieking, @pepperjackets, @catfein ... aaand I have to mention @kalruani who I think is my fav aruani artist but I don't think they're on tumblr...... 👉👈 I don't wanna make anybody feel bad if I forget them, so if I follow you, consider yourself part of the list PLEASE :_)

at this moment tbh I am super aruani focused... but I've shipped a lot through my life haha when I was a child I was obsessed with TK + Kari (digimon) and I usually shipped my fav character from anything, which usually was the misfit / weird / nerd one (I still do btw) 😅 Some ships that I also like at this moment could be zutara, bubbline, tomgreg from succession (in a fun way tbh), OBVIOUSLY tayley from paramore but they are real people so..... HAHA idk if you ask me what do I think of some specific ship I'll tell you my take!

I discovered an artist (Kazland) through tiktok who relies on intuition instead of sketching or planning ahead. I’ve always really liked that style. So I tried it out with this piece.

I’ve also been listening to Mitski lately, so the first verse of My Love Mine All Mine has been stuck in my head.

5. What piece of art are you still proud of to this day? (Show or describe)

HMM this one is probably the oldest drawing i have that i can still say i like. i drew this in high school like 12+ years ago holy shit but it's one of the few my dad has hanging up that i don't cringe at when i pass by lol

honorable mention goes to these arms in particular, from roughly the same time. the rest of the drawing is unimpressive but i wanted to give my boy Rafik some nice arms and by god i did it

20. What motivates/inspires you artistically? (topics, emotions, etc)

mostly worldbuilding, creating characters and creatures! i never stopped drawing since i was little but my primary motivation to really develop it as a skill from like age 10 onward was being able to draw the characters my friend and i made up. which remains the case to this day. it is soo fun exploring all the different concepts, themes, emotions, etc that interest and inspire me through my characters, their stories, and the settings i build for them. like having an eternal pot of stew on a fire and throwing everything i enjoy into it and seeing how it all cooks into something new

One of my all time favorite artists ( @kazland ) was doing commissions where he would draw you in 5 minutes for 5 bucks and my sister so graciously got one for me and I am still so freaking in love with it. Its an honor to finally own a piece of his work and I cant wait to make money someday and buy all of his awesome stuff ;-;
