Obbligato: The Devotion to Tatsumi Kazehaya - 13
Writer: Akira
Season: Spring, three years ago
Characters: Kaname, Tatsumi, Jun
Proofreading: Remi + 310mc (JP) & honeyspades (ENG)
Translation: Peace & hyenahunt
Tatsumi: The root of all misfortune lies in inequality and injustice. They are the root of all unhappiness. That is why they must be corrected.
Tumblr media
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Kaname: ... I feel the same as Sazanami. If the fame and shine doesn't belong to my own name, then there's no point to it.
But... Still, it seems as if "Tatsumi Kazehaya" is doing well for itself.
Maybe I should learn from it. Throw away this pride of mine and ensure success through that.
All so I can become the sparkling idol I've always dreamed of being.
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: Haha. If you so wish, then we are able to help you in a number of ways. We offer idol practices, studies, and can even help you find work — all free of charge.
In fact, I pay everyone who comes to one of my gatherings an equal part of my own wages.
Kaname: What do you mean...?
Tatsumi: You see, I have no interest in money. All of the money that "Tatsumi Kazehaya" accumulates is thus given out in equal shares to those gathered here.
No matter how much you've done, or what you've helped with, you're given the same amount of pay as the person next to you.
Hence, I've asked them to help me with the work I've received as much as possible.
Kaname: Are you for real? You're the one paying them?
It isn't the other way around? They're only managing to catch rays of the limelight because of you, aren't they? And yet... you're paying them?
Tatsumi: That's right. I likened it to a company, didn't I? Anyone who becomes a part of "Tatsumi Kazehaya" is offered the same regular pay as everyone else within it.
It's only natural to reward those who work a reasonable sum, isn't it? I would never ask someone to do my work for free.
Such a thing would be against our doctrine— nay, against human decency itself.
Tumblr media
Jun: Ohhh, I get it now... I see just why these guys don't care for working on their own and are perfectly content just being "Tatsumi Kazehaya's assistants.”
They can just kick back and let their earnings pour in that way. Why wouldn't they? The cash they earn through this kinda fixed income is definitely gonna be way more than whatever an idol with no accomplishments could get through independent work.
And on top of that, Kazehaya-senpai's so brilliant at what he does that his work's a huge success every single time. Thanks to that, these guys get the chance to shine while avoiding any risk of failure or injury, or of being thought of as useless.
Sure is a dream job — one fit for morons.
Kaname: And on top of that, if I'm understanding correctly, you pay those a fair wage even if they haven't worked at all?
Tatsumi: I do. We don't discriminate here, you see. All are equal.
Jun: Mmm, well, I’m not that educated so I might be wrong, but this whole arrangement'spretty much that thing, isn't it? Starts with a c and ends with ism....
Our country's a capitalist nation, so y'know, the opposite of that —
Tatsumi: There's truly no need to go that far. I only wish to treat everyone as equally and fairly as possible.
Such a world would be ideal, wouldn't you agree? I want to make it a reality.
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: Everyone is treated equally, given the same opportunities, and is paid fairly for their work. That way, everyone is able to live a happy, fulfilling life.
The root of all misfortune lies in inequality and injustice. They are the root of all unhappiness.
That is why they must be corrected.
There is a distinct disparity between the Special and Non-Special Students here at Reimei Academy. I'm doing what I can to close it.
It doesn't matter who you are, what you are, or even where you came from: you will be treated equally. Everyone will carry the same weight, walk the same amount of steps, and reach the same destination.
Everyone finishes at the same time. Everyone will be granted the same first place result, fairly and ideally.
And that is how we'll stop needless fighting over who's won and lost, we'll cease begrudging others for what they have, and we'll share the same happiness with one another.
That is the ideal world I dream of.
To bring it even slightly closer to reality, I'm doing what I can— though at the moment, this small sphere is all I'm able to influence in such a way.
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: One day, I will take all those who inhabit Reimei Academy, the teachers and Special Students alike, as well as those in the idol industry, in this country, in this world...
And change their ways so we may live in such an Eden.
No, it's more than that. That is my mission in life as the Voice of God, as someone born within a family who teaches His words.
I truly believe that, and so I will live by that faith.
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: May all of God's creations be blessed. Amen.

hi!!! hello hello!
i've not read obbligato myself yet, nor am i well versed in the characters, but i've heard that you are The Obbligato person, (hopefully i'm not wrong?) so i was wondering if i could get your thoughts on something?
there's this song i was listening to recently and i feel like it might be a pretty decent like, like song that would follow what oremeru thinks about of tatsumi from his old revolution days- or something. might be super missing the mark but yeah i thought it matched kinda what oremeru's thoughts about tatsumi are like??? (not what tatsumi was Actually Like though)
song+mv | fan translation of lyrics in english.
(hopefully the links work)
anyways~ hope you have a great day!!
First of all, if you don’t mind me being obnoxiously prouful of being called “The Obbligato person”, you came to the right place! This is a 0 days since last thinking about Obbligato blog, so thank you very much for sending me an ask! Yippee even.  Also. Briefly noting that I’ve never listened to this song before, but I ended up liking it lotsies. Shoutout for bringing new music to my Vocaloid playlist o7 [one last minor note is that I usually tend to use Kaname when talking about kaname tojo and HiMERU when talking about oremeru specifically, when diwscussing the two. thought I should clarify that]
Okay, back to the main topic of the ask. I do see your vision oh so clearly re: how HiMERU would see Tatsumi and his revolution. Especially in ways it affected Kaname, who, as far as HiMERU is concerned, was a victim of it (and my extention, of Tatsumi, who mislead him etc etc like a cult leader would mislead his followers etc etc. There is a discussion to be had about HiMERU projecting the guilt he feels, - for not being close to Kaname before, not knowing what was going on until it was too late, - on a person who *was* close to Kaname. But I think I am going off-topic with this).
Even if you analyze the song beyond the general theme of “religious leader ends up persecuted by their own previously deeply loyal followers”, I can see how you could connect it to the Reimei Revolution, and Tatsumi’s role in it.
“Fourteen, both God and the priest shall be treated as one and the same”
This was how people treated Tatsumi, wasn’t it? He became an unreachable, infallible, almost God-like figure to them. He would hear out your problems, he would make your wishes come true. He loved everyone, and he loved everyone equally. Even Jun called the meetings Tatsumi had with his followers in the Catacombs a cult.
“It’s the march of blind believers, they flock together and go Everyone, everybody, they’re seeking for a “life””
“I take people’s life away, devouring even those wishes of theirs”
As HiMERU himself said, in his old Obbligato line, “No matter how much you praise Tatsumi, you’ll remain the same in his eyes” (Ship of Fools - 1, tl by @/hyenahunt). From HiMERU’s point of view, Kaname became one of Kazehaya’s “blind believers”, throwing away his life, - metaphorically, refusing the easier route towards becoming the idol he dreams of being for the sake of joining the Revolution in the end, and, as it ended up, literally, ending up in a coma. And even if you touch on the “devouring even those wishes of theirs” part… “What is it you want? What is it you wish for? Money? Work? Fame? Affection? Peace of mind? Whatever it is you ask of me, I will grant to you.” (The Devotion to Tatsumi Kazehaya - 8, tl by @/hyenahunt). Tatsumi would hold out his hand for the suffering people around him (Jun even mentions at some point him often talking people out of suicide), would promise to make their wish come true and then bend over backwards to do so (usually with zero regards for himself in the process). Those people would follow him, with almost religious fevor, fuelling the revolution machine, which would then turn around and plow through Tatsumi and Kaname all the same.
“It’s the rebellion of the fanatics, they flock together and go Everybody and everyone, they flock together and die The saints cause incitement by reciting the scriptures [...]”
「In his last moments, I honestly feel sorry for him. I heard that it was quite gruesome.」
Idk why I typed all of that, to be honest, you literally were the one to recommend the song to me, you see all of this already. Sorry. Blacked out and ended up with 600 words on my hands. Again, thank you so so so much :3c

I wasn’t sure how they were gonna slice the storyline’s for season 3 given they would prolly have to condense it to make a shorter season (bc god knows we’re not doing 25 ep seasons anymore) so I wasn’t sure when Kazepapa would be introduced
BUT YOU BET YOUR ASS I AM THE MOST HYPED FOR HIS INTRODUCTION AND HE’S IN THE FIRST EPISODE
I ADORE Kazepapa and his whole arc with Kazehaya. I love him. He’s just super intense dad (who comes off as grumpy) who absolutely loves his son (which comes out as strict) and absolutely ships his son and Sawako together to the point he views their relationship as an engagement XD

Underachievers - 15: Entry
Translator: Peace
Proofreader: Bakemonoremy
Aira: Okay, we're here~♪
Tumblr media
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Location: ES Live Stage
A few minutes later
Aira: Okay, we're here~♪
That took quite some time, huh?
The underground side entrance and elevator are exclusive for the live’s audience right now, so we had no choice but to come down the staff stairway.
Hiiro: There were so many people, it was hard to get through. If we didn't have you to guide us, Aira, we wouldn't have gotten anywhere.
Aira: Heheh, I am used to lives—I mean, more as an audience member than anything else, but still.
Tatsumi: Fufu. Let us do all we can so that we may become used to this as idols as well.
In any case, this is ES’s rumored live stage. What a remarkable place.
The fact that there's a staging area that can seat such a large audience at any point in time in this facility makes it significant, particularly for idol activities.
Aira: Japan doesn't really have buildings that can do the job, and the ones that are big enough feel like they're always booked.
That's why only the most popular of idols could stand on such grand stages, while newcomers never had a shot in the first place.
But on top of this place, ES is setting up a number of new stages outside and in the surrounding areas.
From what I heard, even this underground area is constantly being expanded… Well, it seems like there is no lack of places for people to sing, huh?
Tatsumi: Fufu. The amount of idols increases each and every day too, so there still may not be enough space for them all.
Hiiro: …
Aira: Hm? What's wrong, Hiro-kun, you're awfully fidgety… Do you need to use the restroom?
Tatsumi: Fufu. Idols don't use the restroom. That's an awfully old saying, but still, I'd recommend you'd take care of business before the live begins.
Hiiro: Ah, it's not that… It's nothing really, it just feels like there's an odd presence here.
Aira: What do you mean, an odd presence? Like a criminal? How scary!
Tatsumi: Hm. We are usually followed by the one currently hiding in the ceiling, but does this presence differ from that, Hiiro-san?
Aira: Eh, that mysterious fourth person followed us here? Where, where? Why are they so persistent about not showing themself to us?! And in a way that makes them even more suspicious!
Hiiro: Ah, it's not them. It's more… What's the word… It's more nostalgic, I guess?
It's nothing I thought I'd ever smell in the big city, almost like the scent of blood.
… Mm-mm. Maybe I'm just imagining things.
Both of you are used to this, while I'm overwhelmed by the buzzing atmosphere that only these venues have—I might just be a little nervous.
Everyone's so enthused, packed tightly into one spot…
It's the same as how the SS was. The lives themselves are unusual to me.
Tatsumi: Fufu. It's true, for idols such as ourselves, these extraordinary things eventually become "ordinary", so we tend to forget how they feel.
But looking at you, Hiiro-san, I remember how I used to be.
Aira: Well, this may be the "ordinary" for you, Kazehaya-senpai, but I am still completely inexperienc—… Huh?
Tumblr media
Hajime: ~..♪
Aira: Shino-senpai!
Hajime: Hm? Is someone calling for me..?
Aira: Senpa~i, over here ♪
Tumblr media
Hajime: Ah, Shiratori-kun! Good evening~♪ I'm sorry for not noticing you sooner, but there's a lot of people here…
Fufu, I'm glad, though~. You see, Shiratori-kun, I was actually looking for all of you.
Hiiro: Do you know this person, Aira?
Aira: Yup. Well, it'd be presumptuous for someone like me to call him an acquaintance though—
Tumblr media
Aira: This is Shino Hajime-san, a member of the popular unit Ra*bits, and also our super awesome senpai, y'know?
Hajime: Fufu. I'm not that super awesome~, but I'm happy you think so.
Shiratori-kun and I go to the same school, and we became friends after eating on the rooftop together.
Aira: Yup, it was an honor above all else! I have a hard time not boasting about it to the Ra*bits fans on social media!
Hajime: Ah, don't talk about it outside of HoldHands though, okay?
You seem to be a clever, careful person, Shiratori-kun, so I think you'll be fine, but there are others who accidentally caused problems doing that.
For example, among the people I know, there’s someone from Valkyrie… A while ago, he was, I guess you call it "being flamed", and it turned into a huge ordeal.
Although, as a result, people in and out of the business world did take notice of him, and apparently a certain distinguished artist got in contact with him, so it all worked out in the end.
Aira: Oh right, there can be quite some flamewars in there. But what a surprise~, Ra*bits and Valkyrie’s image are the complete opposi–
Ah, wait, I get it now. I'm so sorry, this isn't a topic I should be touching on, huh…
Hajime: Fufu. You're really in the know when it comes to the circumstances of various idols, Shiratori-kun, it's almost as if you're more of a fan than an idol proper.
Tomoya-ku–… A good friend of mine is the same way, so I think it's rather charming.

Production IG Kimi Ni Todoke Episode 13 Review
Not Quite Over The Kurumi ChroniclesUhh… Yeah. At this point the ending feels stretched out uncomfortably long. Especially since this episode mostly exists to torment Kurumi, and focus on best job lesbian couple Yano & Yoshida. Once Kazehaya takes Sawako away to talk to her? Kurumi is lost. Any momentum she tried to get back from her stumbled with Sawako fails. Her threat is done. Ok. I like…

LATE-BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A Local Crunchyroll Fansubber has a Possible Reference of Among Us at a Nagatoro Anime for the Incorrect Translation [#OneNETnewsInvestigates]
KANAGAWA, JAPAN -- The most American multiplayer mobile game from Innersloth, known as the "Among Us" was sparkled worldwide at a later gaming platforms. It was first released by mid-June 2018 for the Android and iOS devices.
An actual purpose for this game represents to slain a victim like a murder person if you're the Imposter role. Most players in regular will be participating a fake tasks like fixing a color-coded electrical wiring to match for example.
youtube
But for this past weekend ago on Sunday early morning during a SERIES PREMIERE of "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro"... An English fansubber in local from Crunchyroll does have a take for a reference of Among Us from this timestamp of 14 minutes & 18 second mark in raw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An explanation of "sus" as Polygon reported from a quote, "It's a convenient shorthand for suspicious. You may not have seen a little bean kill someone in the reactor core, but you’re pretty sure they were up there at some point, or they ran at you in a funny way".
Tumblr media
A 17 y/o student at the Kazehaya High School (KHS) named Hayase Nagatoro teaches a short Art Lesson to Naoto Hachioji.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He tries to think about the outline of arts but, it's a slight distraction for a short while. Hachioji looks a smartphone, while he was asking her student mentor to take a break. Nagatoro is considerly noticed a suspicion for a whole time. At least she was pretending that he doesn't know about his art drawing since he was using probably a shady lineart called Hatching.
According to HG.org, there is a possibility a cease and desist order when anything is related, referencing or even an incorrect translation like Crunchyroll does.
One local fansubber may face a partial violation of Republic Act #8293 or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, if it's proven guilty in an online social distancing court (off from the CoViD19′s post pandemic). The aspects of the game cannot be copied without obtaining the consent of their creators first, much almost otherwise the imitators may be liable for a Copyright Infringement and/or entailing the payment of damages.
In real life for a Murder reasons on it's deadly weapon however... Expect an additional violation follows under the Article #248, known as the "Revised Penal Code". It'll be optionally facing a different sentence to 12-20 years in prison as a Reclusion Temporal.
Nagatoro has acknowledged with a permission to Innersloth to make an honest legality anime promotion for a Free-to-Play mobile game with "Among Us" and some other gaming platforms like Steam for example, costs under U$D5. You can play locally or online for 5-10 players at a time per gaming session. You can download it free-of-charge in Android and iOS devices. Steam on Windows and Nintendo Switch will cost at a same price. And coming soon, it'll be taking over to XBox consoles nearest you.
So, for this series episode premiere of "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro"... A suspicious person (like this local Crunchyroll fansubber) will be reported anonymously to someone else personally at a main meeting, with just a simple exile to keep the Imposters out in space. This needs a small proper revisions to make some translations work from the original Japanese audio to English subtitles for international use in anime.
Special Thanks to our Grade 6 Teacher at the West City Elementary School in Dumaguete City named Jenny Rose Abatayo for the suggestions and references on it's news article, while Ohys & Erai also acknowledges for sending us a news tip.

The manga Kimi ni Todoke and its message on the importance of communication
Finally the manga nut is releasing his inner nerd and exploring a story from outside of western society. But you won’t be getting any “nippon steel” or “manga art is best art” or whatever.
Now that I’ve sated my paranoid need to assure readers that I am not one of those geeks, I can finally start the article for real. This will not be about manga per-se, but about the lesson learned from the story; a lesson that personally resonated with me, even before I realised it.
Back in high school (about ten years ago) I was introduced to manga for the first time and I eventually stumbled upon the romance manga “Kimi ni Todoke”. The main character of KimiNi (what I call it casually) is Kuronuma Sawako, nickname “Sadako” (the Japanese name for the girl from The Ring) and I strongly suspect that she is dyspraxic.
Even before I knew I was dyspraxic I related to the socially clumsy Sawako. She sucked at drawing, had difficult to read expressions and just wanted to be friends with people but was always, always misunderstood and she only starts to make progress when someone else gives her a chance. Enter Kazehaya Shouta, the love interest first person at her new school to actually give her a chance; of course, that’s because he had fallen for her but- whatever.
I have always been socially clumsy. I suck at drawing, people misread my expressions and I really, really want more good friends. People have called me creepy when all I was doing was standing there, they call me arrogant or snooty when I just don’t know what to say and so stay silent. I can’t approach people, not because I’m shy (I’m not) but because I genuinely don’t know what to say. Do you think you know what I should say? Because I’ve probably tried it and it fell flat.
I’m missing something and I don’t know what.
Sawako is encouraged to talk to two classmates who upon realising the girl is not what they thought soon become her closest friends. This sets the tone of the story where every problem in the story is solved through communication.
When they don’t talk things get worse, and things only get better when they discuss the problem. Again and again.
KimiNi is an engaging story with adorable (and flawed) characters and solid progression of characters and events, but it’s also got a moral. Talk. Communicate.
This is something that I am constantly trying to promote in other people. My parents are fighting? I demand they stop, get some space and then talk about things while considering the other’s point of view. And not just thinking that they are considering it, people think they do when they don’t, but actually looking at it to understand where they are coming from. It’s slow progress.
I try and do the same with others: my friend and his girlfriend are getting upset? My uncle is leading my parents in circles? I try and get them to communicate. Heck, if everybody talked and listened there wouldn’t be any war.
Unfortunately people don’t want to talk, and some actually want war (like, for oil and shit).
 Jeez, that’s a miserable ending.

Binge-Watching: Kimi Ni Todoke, Episodes 13-15
In which I give Kurumi her due, Sawako is too pure for this world, and the romance just keeps getting better.
Pain
You know, in retrospect, I was entirely too harsh on Kurumi. Yes, she was still a bully who did shitty things in pursuit of her goals, and yes, it was still fun to see her attempts at sabotage backfire every time thanks to her inability to take everyone else’s sincerity into account (as well as the whole incident with Mr. Pin, because holy crap that had me cackling more than I’d like to admit). But that’s the rub, isn’t it: the flaws that made her do these shitty things are the same flaws that make it impossible to truly hate her. Kurumi built up an image of perfection to make people like her, but she became so trapped by that image that she lost the ability to be sincere. She has to be the popular girl, the perfect princess, because otherwise... she’s nothing. At least, that’s how she sees it.
But the trade-off there is that she’s become the kind of person who can never truly connect with people, so she sees no other option than to lash out when her fantasy is threatened. There’s a great shot in episode 14, right after her lies have finally come crashing down and she thinks Kazehaya’s about to find out about the awful things she’s done, where the background completely fades away, leaving just a single circle of grass around her in a sea of blank white. It perfectly communicated the crushing isolation she’s feeling, realizing that everything she sacrificed to get where she was amounted to nothing in the end. She’s not some mad schemer, or an irredeemable bitch. She’s a scared teen driven to cruelty by her own mistakes who desperately needs a way out.
Too Pure For This World
And that’s where Sawako comes in. Because for all the shit Kurumi puts her through, the simple fact of the matter is that Sawako is good. Straight-up, no bullshit, she is good. She would have every excuse to hate Kurumi once the truth was revealed. But she can’t. She has too much love and empathy for everyone to accept that kind of hatred. Like I said last time, her complete and utter honesty ends up being exactly what Kurumi needs: someone with whom she can be completely and utterly herself for the first time in forever. And as much as Kurumi might claim to hate her, it’s clear she really was changed for the better through their interactions.
Honestly, it’s really remarkable how much of myself I still see in Sawako. I, too, am completely unable to see somebody’s bad side unless it’s shoved right in my face. My friends will talk shit about people I know a lot of the time, and I always find it so weird, because the flaws they point out are things that are invisible to me, even after I know what I’m supposed to be looking for. I’m just not physically capable viewing people through that kind of negative lens unless it’s, like, blatantly obvious. And I relate so hard to Sawako here; if I were in her shoes, that’s how I’d probably react. Not with anger, but confusion and hope. I’d try to reach out and understand why. Because honestly, hating people is exhausting. Sometimes, you just have to try and be better.
And in this case, it works. Sawako and Kurumi have a great scene of them bonding over their shared appreciation of Kazehaya’s finer points, and then we get an actual honest-to-god confession from Kurumi, followed by an equally honest-to-god rejection. And in that moment, I really couldn’t hate Kurumi anymore, because the guts it took to stand there and confess her loving, knowing full well, that Kazehaya couldn’t possibly return it, is the kind of courage I wish I could have. Finally, she’s able to be honest again. And we’re all better off for it.
“Sawako”
Which brings me to the final point of this post: Sawako and Kazehaya continue to delight me at every turn. I knew from the second that Kazehaya started off his confrontation with her following seeing her talking to Ryu with an apology for his selfishness that this show was firmly kicking the possibility of dumb misunderstandings in the nuts; these two are both too emotionally honest with each other to fall into that trap. This is how you build trust with the audience; I am fully confident in this show’s ability to continue and develop their relationship without screwing itself over. And my god, when Kazehaya finally worked up the courage to call her by her first name, I felt the warm fuzzies something fierce. Both of them have independently come to the conclusion that they love each other; both of them have grown enough to accept those feelings. Now, all that’s left for them is to figure out how to communicate those feelings to each other. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
Odds and Ends
-AND RYU JUST NOPES OUT OF THERE AKSJDHAKSDA
-”Maybe she’s got a thing for Ryu.” Yoshida. Honey. Please.
-”Can you look away for a second? I’m really embarrassed right now.” SUCH A SOFT BOI
-GOD DAMMIT WHAT’S WITH ALL THE FAKE-OUT CONFESSIONS
-Can I just say, I fucking LOVE Yano and Yoshida’s dynamic. They’re the best kind of Greek Chorus. I would watch a whole show if them being school detectives together.
-”Karate chop!” get shrek’d Kurumi
-BLOODTHIRSTY YANO FOR LIFE
-”What’s that? Some kind of victory dance?” Listen, coming from someone who has done far weirder things in public view, seeing everyone react to Sawako’s external thought process feels very familiar.
-You know, I think the inner monologue has gotten better. It’s actually finding new things to talk about instead of repeating the same points over and over, and it’s a lot more interesting as a result. Kudos.
-”Should I even comment on this sick fantasy?” aksjdhaskjdhaksda
-”WHY ARE YOU CRYING WITH ME?!” “Tears are contagious.” oh my god she’s amazing
-askdjhasdkahsd why the sunglasses
-”My first rival.” TOO. PURE. FOR. THIS. WORLD.
Man, I’m loving this show. See you next time, where we maybe finish the first season!

I’ve read again Kimi ni Todoke (volume 1 to 27), and I like this shojo, but I was thinking of some details I’d change in it for it to fit more my personal tastes. And I’m going to put random thoughts too. Will include some spoilers for volume 27.
- Kick the heteronormative stuff. I know it’s a lot to ask for a classical shojo but I still don’t like when the characters talk like it’s natural to fall in love only with someone of the opposite sex, or say stuff like “if I was a boy maybe I’d be in love with you” (girl to girl). Doesn’t happen too often but it’s there.
- Sometimes Kazehaya is a bit possessive. At large he does things for Sawako that feel selfless, but there are some things that bug me I guess. (He’s not toxic like a lot of shojo love interests I’ve seen at least.)
- I would btw not include that part when he asks Sawako if they can start dating (just when she realizes her romantic feelings for him, but doesn’t tell him). It’s sudden and early and awkward, and she’s surprised and basically says no ‘cause she’s not there yet she can’t imagine that, and he’s ok with it (which is good actually). Still, I don’t really see the point and it also should tell that he has romantic feelings for her; yet Sawako doesn’t see it that way. I know her mindset is focused on how people usually reject/don’t like her, but still. Feels weird to me. xD Well in this manga I also see this culture of how people seem to date even when they don’t love each other (yet) so... Maybe it comes from this too.
- Their crushes are pretty quick to me. It’s not necessarily unrealistic, but they don’t know each other that well when they have it (I know, it’s a shojo). At least Sawako needs some time before she thinks she’s in love, but I would’ve not said she fell in love right at the moment Kazehaya said her name in the beginning, like she says at some point.
- I don’t know how it’ll happen yet, but I’d drop the romance between Ayane and Pin. It was probably the author’s intent for a long while as I realize there were hints here and there. But it doesn’t fit my taste as they’re pupil and teacher, Pin even says several times that she’s a “kid” and he’s his “superior”, which breaks any equality needed for romance between them in my eyes. Ayane also quit her relationship with Miura not so long ago and I was expecting the message to be that it’s ok to be single too, especially since she says she’s never actually been in love. I thought it said that it’s ok to have personal dreams and other goals in life, and anyway she knows other types of love, as Chizu says. I would’ve loved that message to be final, but in the end we get this. It also kinda feels like pair the spares, as if all three main girls must end up in a relationship. Anyway. Yeah, it just makes me uncomfortable when the topic’s up haha. Ayane being all embarrassed and flustered like this because of Pin makes me cringe. xD
- I wonder if Miura isn’t a Nice Guy somehow. He said he wanted to take care of Ayane, wanted her happy, but there are many instances where he puts himself first (well, so does she too). Like telling her not to go to Tokyo, painting himself as a victim in front of Sawako and Chizu after... He’s also pretty manipulative/calculate things too much overall, as he was with Sawako in his beginnings. At least it’s a good thing that he ends up being fine with his break up with Ayane, but of all the things that happened, there are things about him that I dislike.
- On that point I’m still not sure I’m that fond of romantic Chizu/Ryu. I can see it, but it wasn’t a mutual feeling in the beginning and their relationship felt brotherly to me. That’s precisely what was an issue to Chizu, that’s how she viewed their relationship. They grew up together and bicker and support each other like siblings. At least I don’t reject it as much as Ayane/Pin, and it took some time after Ryu’s confession to evolve into romance. But I’d love them equally as a brotp, maybe more. Chizu is too tsundere with him at times, and is uncomfortable with the romance idea for a long while. And it feels like Ryu kinda forced his feelings on her when he fiercely said to let go of their past relationship; would’ve liked it more if that part didn’t happen.
And now more general thoughts on Sawako and Kazehaya...
For a while I wasn’t sure what to think because of their struggles. They often put the other one before themselves, and I like that they’re pretty much selfless. You can see they want each other’s happiness, that was what first attracted me about their story. But that, combined with the general anxiety Sawako has always had and their communication problems (from both parts), also cause many issues and make them blind to what the other really wants at times. It makes them put distance between them and hurt each other, as we see it two major times after they’ve engaged into romance. (And also some times before they were, actually like the confession quiproquo lol.)
When they almost had their first kiss and were interrupted, Kazehaya started to put distance between them thinking it’s wrong to want this, it's wrong to kiss her etc. It might come from a respectable place (kinda too much imo, it’s just kissing, but different context than what I’m used to I guess), but doesn’t he see that she wanted it too since they almost did it? Doesn’t he think that Sawako will feel that distance and won’t understand why and will be hurt? So he doesn’t tell her even when she asks if something’s wrong, and the communication is dead again (that part was too long btw), and it goes pretty far as they each end up thinking the other might not want to be them anymore. Since we get more of Sawako’s thoughts than his, we see how much she suffers from it and gets anxious and her low self-esteem comes to hit back at her pretty hard during that Christmas eve. (Quote: “How could he love a girl like me?”). It’s sad to see her being so insecure about their relationship, and at this point I kinda thought it wasn’t healthy.
Then she breaks and he kisses her and they talk more after that, solving the problem, fortunately. But the problem went pretty far, starting from little, before they finally talked properly.
Then comes the Future issue, where Kazehaya assumes that Sawako already made her choice to go to Sapporo’s university and chooses not to tell her how he feels so that he doesn’t hurt her, since he doesn’t want them to be apart but wants her to do what she wants. They don’t talk properly about it for a while, then later there’s the argument. It was kinda normal at first... but it also felt overdone at the end when Kazehaya tells her angrily to just go to that university and not to care about him etc (which is the only time he acts like this too). That said, they also finally told things they really thought (like Sawako thinking that Kazehaya seems more natural with other people/not talking enough about himself). Fortunately, that part is solved quickly enough in the next volume. And it feels that this time they’re really getting more honest/open-hearted and work toward a healthier relationship, I hope it’ll continue this way. (I don’t need overdone tension for the sake of keeping interest btw =P)
And it’ll probably keep up since the end seems to be near. I enjoyed volume 27. The series is getting a bit long, some parts dragged a bit too much, but it finally seems like the characters are finding their paths and make efforts to communicate better (Kazehaya and Sawako, but also Kazehaya and his father in this volume). I like that some important/symbolic moments from before are still referred to, and the major themes are here too. The characters keep making progress. Sawako and Kazehaya love each other enough to try and fix things when there’s a problem between them, they learn to communicate, and they do care about each other (they’re also still very cute).
Chapter 110 and especially the part in the ferris wheel really got me. Uh ;_; I hope things will turn out ok for them in the end. ;_; I’m sure it will, but it’s still sad. Ok, I don’t actually have words for this.
I’ll stop here for now. Not sure any follower I have read this manga haha, and this post is messy, I actually suck at writing. Whatever, tried to put some thoughts down for once!
Last note: too bad the volumes are released too slowly, aaah~

Obbligato: In Praise of Folly - 3
Writer: Akira
Season: Spring, two years ago
Characters: Nagisa, Hiyori, Ibara
Proofreading: Remi + 310mc (JP) & Skyress (ENG)
Translation: Peace & hyenahunt
Hiyori: Someone like Tatsumi Kazehaya, however, may truly believe in such dreams from the bottom of his heart.
Tumblr media
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Nagisa: ... That is true. Tatsumi Kazehaya's ideals of "equality" and "fairness" could never coexist from the very start.
Hiyori: But of course. It seems everyone here is well aware of this fact, so while there is no need to elaborate on it any further, allow me to do so anyway.
The compatibility of equality and fairness, hm? Say we applied such concepts to a foot race — That would mean everyone would start at the same time, and everyone would reach the goal at the same time, yes?
Tumblr media
Hiyori: However, each individual has their own differences, or shall I say, their own individual quirks. Be it their athleticism, their stamina, or even simply their condition on that day — everyone is different.
That's why, were this to be held in the usual way a race operates, you would essentially be creating a ranking order amongst them just by making everyone start at the same time.
If there are no external factors that could influence the outcome, then by every right the fastest person would win the race.
And that's essentially natural law, no? The one who ought to win shall be the one to win.
But in ranking each person, you are then creating "inequality".
Though everyone may have a "fair" start, the finish line itself becomes "inequal".
And then if you aim to remove that contradiction and aspire towards "equality" instead, then the "fairness" of it would grow questionable.
The two concepts are simply incompatible. Why, you would be taking the fastest child and binding weights to their legs to force them to slow down.
Or instead, you must have them run a longer distance than anyone else — of course, assuming that everyone is running with all their might, for if not then the end result would not be equal.
In essence, in order for the outcome to be “equal”, then the starting point must be “unfair”.
Nagisa: ... I see. That’s a very clear explanation.
... If you are to seek either “equality” or “fairness”, the opposite will inevitably surface. The two concepts are wholly incompatible.
Tumblr media
Ibara: That's right. That is why Mr. Tatsumi Kazehaya's idealistic thoughts were nothing but just that: thoughts.
Oh, certainly no one would disagree with a world where one could be treated as equally as another, while at the same time being fair about it. In fact, I'm sure everyone would be quite happy with it.
However... The truth of the matter is that the world is made up of unique individuals, and so long as that is the case, that ideal is nothing more than a pipe dream.
A heaven, an early paradise, that can only exist as a concept — that truly is something a religious leader would think up.
Nagisa: ......
Ibara: At the same time, I for one have never seen Mr. Tatsumi Kazehaya as someone so foolishly blind to reality.
He's simply someone who's sought to make his dreams come true through pure religious zeal.
Tumblr media
Hiyori: That's where he differs from Eichi-kun, isn't it? He used pretty, idealistic words like those to win everyone over, but ultimately they were used simply as a convenient front for what we were actually doing.
Someone like Tatsumi Kazehaya, however, may truly believe in such dreams from the bottom of his heart.
Ibara: That may be true. I believe we all agree on what we just discussed — that “equality” and “fairness” cannot coexist. And for my part, I believe it to be an undeniable truth.
However, there is a way for our reality to come ever closer to that idealistic view.
Mr. Tatsumi Kazehaya has done just that—with the exact conviction that any brave but tragic martyr may have had.
His ideals, if only for a moment, became reality.
Nagisa: ... I thought that such a thing was impossible for humanity, however.
Ibara: It is. That is why, if only for a moment, he must have become "something beyond human comprehension", such as a god or an angel, or perhaps a saint.
Hiyori: Saints, hm? They play a role much like that of myriad gods within polytheistic religions.
While it wouldn't pass within religions that worship a one and absolute God, saints are treated akin to gods, with the only difference from them being that they were once human.
Idolatrous images are made out of them and worshipped, and in turn they grant their worshippers divine protection.
The same can be said about demons. A certain unified church has been filching the various concepts of both saints and demons from other religions to worship them as godlike figures on their own.
Tumblr media
Nagisa: ... I agree. A saint is someone who merely fills in the gaps that God cannot reach alone.
Ibara: I have no interest in discussing religion. But it is true that Mr. Tatsumi Kazehaya did something meritable enough for others to call him a saint.
In order to allow the contradiction of "equality" and "fairness" to coexist, there must be something to counteract it: an "exception" to the two.
Mr. Tatsumi Kazehaya himself is that very "exception".
Hiyori: ..Whatever do you mean?
Ibara: To put it simply, the system he established accounts for the equality and fairness of all except himself.
By allowing himself to take on the burden of being treated "unfairly" and "inequal" to those around him, everyone else reaps the benefits of the earthly paradise he sought.
Just as the original saint of Christianity, Jesus Christ, had done so long ago, crucified upon the cross to absolve humanity of their sins.

Crystal Hearts
Previous || Chapter Nineteen || Next
»»————- i love you my flower ————-««
"Yoshhh. Chaos butterfly have his happy end..." Aira stretch his arms as he gotten quite bored watching the scene unfold. The scene where the Mayoi Ayase of this world gladly offering his self to balance the chaos yet instead of disappearing, he become more of the dominant ego of chaos butterfly. The black wings of chaos becoming beautiful purple-blue, holding his own precious in his arms that won't fade away like others.
"Aira, where did you go too? I was going to look for you!" Hiiro quickly notice his arrival on the scene. "Quickly teach us how to preform what core fae says about kiss of life... I wanna fix my brother back to normal after all." Hiiro smile warmly to him.
The mad rabbit sigh as he snap his hand, their surrounding change to of a stage.
"The original canon... We're idols aren't we? We obviously have to sing~" as he said that a mic appear in the rest of Alkaloid.
"Oh? But can singing be the cure..."
"Alkaloid could be the cure or a poison. So sing and become the soldiers who would bring life to the dead plains using the stigma and something... Idk how to explain it, in most ez way. Smh...... Ahm minus your dead world, chaos butterfly Mayoi Ayase..
That plain is destroyed beyond repair..."
Aira start clicking in a screen where it show all the outfit from all multiverse. He check up on others outfit too. He ready the footage for the live since his mc would want to view them once he goes back~ how smart of him!
" What's that??? " Hiiro peak on the screen which made aira press the randomizer.
[ soul Link : Randomizer!! ]
Suddenly the four surrounded with colorful lights.

" Oh."(aira)
»»————- i love candies ————-««
"Omae, I wanna introduce you to my friends." Kohaku smiled as he and you enter one of the room of his family estate. "Okii~" you happily nodded.
Inside the room.
"Huh... Till when are we going to stay here again...? Not that I mind being in a new environment." A certain afterlife train conductor ask as he cross his legs on table, getting bored each second he doesn't do anything interesting.
"ahaha. HiMERU also felt the same." The blue heard darling doll chuckle quite fakely as ever as he have to deal with those version of his unit mate. If he don't know about the crossover thing from that stupid dollmaker friend of his younger brother, he would believe his alive dreaming about this kind of settings.
"Ah... I don't understand anything happening here. But haku told me his going to held a Feist if I stay dreaming for couple more days. beside If I stay dreaming, I don't have to deal with seven sins cycle thing. Ahahah." The demon of gluttony mumble with a chuckle, he takes bite of the prepaid barbeque rabbit legs by Oukawa servants. "Haku keep offerings rabbit meat since we got here. I wonder what's up with that..."
"Excuse me..." Kohaku says causing the three to gaze at the door as he slide it open. "I would like to have you all meet my spouse." Smiling as he smiled warmly and gesture at your form who's tagging and clingy on his right arm. "... You guys don't seems to be in the same genre or something..." You can't help but point out sfter looking at them. "But hello!" You wave happily at them.
" Oho? If it isn't that Branco kid!" Rinne Amagi from la Mort AU chuckle as he point at your direction. "Hey shouldn't you be up with that friends and lover boy of yours? I remember last winter cycle. Certain branco called kaname get turn to popsicle because of that jealous reaper..." He don't seems to notice the warning of the Shiina when two people in the room is glaring at him.
"What was that ?" HiMERU cannot believe this shit. He did not just hear, his younger brother from another universe turn to a popsicle because of another version of that reckless And trouble magnet dollmaker!
" Kokoko... Rinne-han. I don't know your blind and deaf. You seems to miss out when I said mc is MY SPOUSE." The Helter spider isn't amuse at all. He stared at the annoying rinne. He wonders if he choice the right au or not.
"Niki-han. You seems to want to say something too. Do you know the mc of your world too?"
"... eh? Why am I being ask too? I don't like the atmosphere here!" the demon quickly shake his head, not wanting to include more fuel to the fire. "Besides mc of this world and my world are clearly different from one another! So don't tag me here too!"
"That's right... You been awfully quite about your world, demon Niki..." Rinne put his hand on top of Niki's head, as he began to look at him, making him even more nervous to say anything.
"Ahhh! Keep distance from me!" Niki shove the personal space intruding rinne away from him but rinne pulled his t-shirt off, revealing angry bite marks that's forming a heart.
"... Which world did you say your from ???" (The rest of crazy:b)
" I don't like answering that type of question that do me more bad than good." Niki quickly fix his outfit. "As I said earlier. Even if we have a [ mc ] in each world. They clearly different from one another! Like that's a fae mc, rinne have branco mc in his own world. HiMERU have someone he hates MC. Mine have multiple version--"
"... What?"
" -- they even talk to one another! The reincarnator one that is paired with mayo, the cry baby one with three-- oh... Ahaha. You guys don't hear anything from me :D" Niki suddenly realize his being stared very intensely by four people.
" You said three... Who is it." HiMERU don't like what this at all. But his very curious about Niki's world.
".... youyourbroandtatsu..." He was being shaken for answer, Niki can't help but blurt out more facts. "Hicccc. I can't breathe!!!" Niki suddenly felt red strings choking him. "It's au like route! Stop ittttttt :((((( I don't control things :(((" his tapping out but the annoyed older Toujou wants to end a certain demon life.
"Ohoho! Do I have a route too?" Rinne is more curious as he too ask questions from the demon.
"The amagis do have route..." Niki nodded.
" " The amagis " ??" Rinne repeated before he raise his fist. " Hold him still doll boy!" He cannot believe this shit. "You don't have to tell HiMERU, Amagi."
" HEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!""
While the two beat up Niki (affectionately) kohaku sigh as he look at you in worry as you just heard about the matter of the multiverse again. He does know about the canon lore of crazy b, that's why he wanna introduce at least the other member of crazy b he manage to gather here from other multiverse with the use of dreaming.
Besides having more bees Can defeat a mad rabbit. If the three wake up, they will forget about this world to begin with, so it won't be much of a problem if they are sentient about their world if they are asleep.
"Hanii. You have a nice friends." You chuckle through, you seems to realize what he been doing since the world enter a dormant state. Kohaku can't help but narrowed his eyes wondering why you seems fine with terrible thing he did. He force you to forget about everything. To captive you in an endless dreamscape.
"MC-Han..." He felt guilty for his own action. " I..." Reflecting on his action he wanted to apologize.
"... Knowing too much is a pain. So spending time with you without thinking of the world and the world outside ours is good break after a long time." You smiled without hint of malice.
" MC-Han. Why are you like that? It's free to be angry. To be mad at me. To cry or show emotions other than positive, false or true." He can't help but somehow be mad about this. How could you show facade or still act such way??
"Do you regret it?" You suddenly ask him.
" What? Are you trying to change the topic?" He cross his arms, the surrounding start to shake from frustration he felt but he quickly try to stay calm and maintaining the dreamscape. "MC-Han. I'm honestly worried about you. Pls don't change the topic."
The other three seems to notice something is up with those two and stared while Niki is tapping out from Rinne's choke hold.
" Pwehh... Those two sure having a quarrels." Rinne chuckle whistling how heated the atmosphere right now.
"Shut it Amagi. Their business is none of ours." HiMERU refuse to intangle with business of another version of the dollmaker.
"Agh... Can you pls. Let me goooooo..." Niki pleaded.
" Hell no | HiMERU refuse." The two said in unison. " You still need to say more about your world of yours. Like that dumb version of me having to deal with the likes of Tatsumi Kazehaya...." " That's right. What's this about Amagi, huh? I don't like this at all. Niki..."
Kohaku look at the three before he pulled you out of the room, locking the door behind him as you and him find a private place to talk more about the topic.
"I'm a cruel person... " You mumble as you look daze for a moment. "Cruel? Is this about making tools of everyone? To achieve your goal? " He rolled his eyes at your words.
" The only thing your cruel to is yourself. " He pointed out. " You take responsibility of something stupid. Over and over again. You try to achieve something. When you can just let it happened. One day. The world will come to an end. No one can stop that. Yet you refuse it and suffer the consequences."thinking about the problem of the so called multiverse and worlds falling to chaos. It made his headache. It's so complicated. "It shouldn't be your responsibility. No one force you to fix the mess that meant to happened."
"..." You look away. Refusing to meet his gaze.
" MC-Han." He seems to notice your odd silence.
"It is my responsibility, kohaku." You finally says. "My responsibility of being born... I will give my life for..."
" No. It's not! Bullshit from hundred or thousand of years ago. Do you really believe in those. Don't you hate the rules as well? The so called traditions..." He remembers the chat you two always have in the first meeting. "Are you a hypocrite? You hated the rules yet you follow them." He clicked his tongue and scoffing at your attitude.
"probably." You says not even a bit mad about his action. You start laughing at a thought. "Could it be your mad? Do you hate me now~? The idealogy of your human side doesn't apply to me. I'm a fae as well a core fae, destine to die for the sake of others." Putting your hand over your chest. You give a solemn smile. " I have no heart... I give it to Aira because it will help him for the task as well the fact by having no heart, I will not fall to depression, to succumb to the emotions that will hinder my goal." You can't help but laugh like a deranged person.
"I took aira heart so he won't fall into self destruction because it will ruined my plan but if the goal achieve. I will give it back." You turn your back on him, holding you hand open, a beautiful red passionate heart of a light fae appear on it. "if he crush my own heart from hate. For my own selfishness. I will gladly accept it." Hidding the crystal heart back. You turn to look at kohaku who's giving you a look that you could only define as hate, disgust or whatnot.
"I... Would like to see the day everyone able to live till they die in natural causes. To see them not parish in such horrible way, over and over again..." You remember your cousin, that hateful emperor who tried to help at some point but cannot escape the chaos. You don't want to reset the world over and over again, it's tormenting to see everything fails out of the plan over and over again, you witness the death and the end.
Even aira went mad from the hundred tries. The balance inside of him become uneven as seed grows to a new sprouts of chaos, called the mad ( unlucky ) rabbit. You just put a spell to lock it away for the new turn. After all, you already problem the chaos butterfly chaotic nature, seeing the mad rabbit going crazy and going in a killing spree isn't something you want to add in your plate.
""See " ?" Kohaku takes a deep breath to compose himself. If he don't act in rational mind, the world of dream would be destroyed. "MC-Han. You just said if aira wish, you'll happily die for such "cruelty" you made "him" "suffer" through. I don't see the part that wish your alive in such ending." He give you a sweet smile lace with malice.
" Kokoko... Your indeed cruel." He sarcastically laugh. "If you want to throw your life away. Then give it to me or Aira. Or both of us. Since this story, were your partners." He taps his right foot in the floor, creating unsteady rhyme. " Once you achieve your goal. You have nothing to wish for... Nor will to live don't you?"
Sometimes I hated how he knows me too much...
"Kohaku sometimes I don't know what to say, when your acting like a tapeworm in my stomach. You know me too well." Especially when he remembers everything from different turns. He even understand your voiceless words. What a cheat.' you thought which made him chuckle as if he knows what comes in your mind.
*Are they kissing yet?" (Rinne)
" Don't move around, HiMERU cannot see those two." (HiMERU)
" You guys are nosy people..."(Niki)
" Oho. Shut up Niki, your also spying on those two."(rinne)
" I was going to ask haku about food. Unlike you two-- ackkk.... H-helpppppp!!" (Niki)
You both look at the sliding door and saw those three spying on you two.
" I dunno. Hanii probably hate me now and wanna file divorce ...so no kissy scene I guess." You said with a haft joking tone as you dramatically tear up.
"H-hey! I don't say that!" Kohaku quickly says before others could believe your words. "it's just normal quarrels of couples. "
"Ehh. But your throwing a childish tantrum cause your consort won't cry into your arms about their trouble~ gyahaha~" rinne point out, they all been listening since point 0.
"S-shut up...!" The youngest bee glare at the train conductor, for being right.
"HiMERU cannot believe this... Even the dollmaker would talk about their problem with the phantom or kaname." HiMERU look at the two of you. It seems you two really need to chat more to have better relationship.
"I won't compare different version of mc. They all different in their own way." Niki wanted to say but everyone ignore him.
"Gyahaha why don't I be the witness for your divorce~?" Rinne chuckle.
"What if I made everyone witness your death, rinne-han?" ( ╹▽╹ ) (kohaku)
" What a cute threat from a tiny man." Rinne put his right hand to rest on top of Kohaku head which made the young Oukawa to frown and kick his leg. " Oof... So much for a dream... Pain still felt real... Gyahaha...." Rinne hold his harm leg, not a bit angry about the kick.
"Go die." Kohaku glare at him.
"How cruel!" Rinne faked a cry as he put his arms around you and kohaku.
"Rinne-han..." Kohaku frown. His purple eyes zooming in to Rinne's left hand around your shoulder blade. "Do you want to have a dislocated arms ?" (◍•ᴗ•◍)
"Don't touch me pls. Or else you'll be stumped by a mad rabbit."
" You two are such a cute and adorable cruel couple. You two are really meant to be!" He chuckle as he let go of the two of you.
As he did that, a screen appear showing a concert hall.
[ You better not touch my flower, rinne Amagi! ] Angry face of Aira appear in the screen.
"ai~ hello~" you happily wave at him. "Why are you zoom in???" You ask.
[ "Rinne??? Aira did you say rinne??? NIISAN!!!???"] aira face quickly pulled away but that moment your eyes zoom in at his outfit before hiiro appear and waving at Rinne.
[ "BROTHER I LOVE YOU! WILL OTHER VERSION OF BROTHER!" ]
The younger Amagi beam at the sight of his older brother.
"... Bunny ears.... H-hiiro... C-cute..." Rinne turn around as he just saw how adorable his brother is.
"NIISANNNNNN PLS WATCH OUR LIVE OKII?"
"Fine... Hmmp." Rinne cover his face as he nodded.
"Ok! Aira, tatsu-senpai, and Mayo-senpai shall we began?" Hiiro back away and everyone saw the alkaloid outfit.
"... Pff--" HiMERU turn around as he chuckle and embarrassed for the priest current self. "How disgraceful..." He mockingly says.
"Woah... Another mc beside mayoi. There's sure bunch of mc." Niki commented as he rub his hungry stomach. You look at him before you point at his direction. Magi candy appear on his hand.
"Woah... Thanks!" He happily nom it. "Still wonder what type of genre this world is... Like I thought its only magic and stuff... Why is there sci-fi one..." He mumble to himself.
"turn off your rational mind. Just enjoy the ride. Lmao." You look back to the screen as the live began.

Hi there ! may I know what happened in chapter 118 ? Anything ayapin related ?
Hey @terroristrose!! Thanks for your question!
Chapter 118 is basically setting up for the Kitahoro gang’s graduation ceremony. The chapter mostly focuses on Sawako and Kazehaya, but there are a couple of great ayapin scenes!
(I might be able to post pictures at a later date, but for now I’ll try to describe what happens…)
The first scene takes place the day before the graduation ceremony. Ayane, Sawako, and Chizu are leaving the building together when they run into Pin. Ayane blushes a little.
Pin says, “Yano, tomorrow don’t come wearing so much heavy makeup!”
Ayane playfully answers, “Huuuh? What should I do? I want to look cute in pictures…”
Pin yells, “Don’t do it!!”
Ayane asks, “What about you, Pin? Are you coming with that hair? Will that be okay? Like with the PTA?”
Pin looks horrified. “Are you psychic?”
(Earlier in the chapter another teacher asks Pin to leave his hair down for the graduation ceremony to avoid upsetting members of the PTA.)
The three friends continue walking, and Ayane calls out to Pin with a smile.
“See you tomorrow!”
Pin smiles back. “Yeah. See you tomorrow!”
Ayane thinks, [It’s the last “see you tomorrow”…]
The second scene happens the next day, right before the graduation ceremony. Ayane and Pin run into each other unexpectedly in the hallway. Pin is wearing a suit and has his hair in a ridiculous, super-gelled side part. Ayane says, “No way! What is that hairstyle?”
“I-It’s a side part?” he answers, looking uncomfortable.
“Hey! Bend over a little,” Ayane says.
“Huh?”
Ayane ruffles his hair, leaving it down and messy (her favorite Pin look haha). Once Pin realizes what she’s doing and gets mad, Ayane runs away from him.
“What are you doing?! How long do you think it took to set?!” Pin yells.
“Isn’t that better?” Ayane calls back with a bright smile. There are sparkles around her…
Also, while it isn’t an ayapin interaction, there is a beautiful scene (between the two ayapin ones) where Ayane tells her friends about Pin’s rejection for the first time and thanks them for supporting her. It ends with a tearful group hug!
I’m sorry that I can’t give a detailed account of the whole chapter - I haven’t had the time to translate it (just the ayapin parts…for obvious reasons haha). Some highlights though for people who are curious:
It seems Sawako is giving a speech at the graduation ceremony (my heart). She and Kazehaya have a lot of sweet moments in this chapter, including sneaking around the empty hallways together, lots of handholding, (in school!) and a pretty deep kiss (also in school - naughty!). Sawako, Kazehaya, and Kurumi have finished their entrance exams (I don’t think they’ve heard their results yet though). Before graduation, Ryu tells Chizu not to cry during the ceremony, and Chizu says she won’t (she totally will XD) and that Ryu will cry (I would LOVE to see that).
I’ll try to do a translation of the chapter when it gets posted, but hopefully this tides you over until then! There was a lot happening but most of it is setting up for the actual graduation next chapter. I expect it to be pretty emotional!
Before wrapping this up, I’d like to offer some speculation based on the final ayapin scene in this chapter. I’m not the first to point this out, but usually when Pin’s hair comes down, a great ayapin scene is sure to follow… (Chapters 77, 97, 112, 117). Shiina went out of her way to flatten his spiky hair this chapter, so we might get a sweet ayapin scene after all (AND HE’S IN A SUIT!!!! *nosebleed*). I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but there’s a decent chance we’ll get something after the ceremony, especially because Ayane thinks the day before the ceremony is their last “see you” and there were sparkles around her (from Pin’s point of view!) when she smiled at him after messing up his hair - so let’s cross our fingers!

Beautiful Liar, a Kuroko no Basuke fanfiction
Summary: What happens when the person you cherish so much leaves you in the darkness? You’re falling down, no one to catch you down there and no one to hold your hand to prevent you from falling down the endless dark pit. You’re sinking in quick sand, drowning in the darkest place in the sea. And that’s what happened to Kuroko Tetsuya.
He loved each and every one of the Generation of Miracles, and yet they treated him like garbage- playing him for their own sick amusement. After realising that he wasn’t meant to be by their side anymore, he broke. He turned, walked away;
And committed suicide.
The Generation of Miracles knew they were wrong. Heck, they wanted to rewind time and slap their past selves for being so inconsiderate for their beloved phantom’s feelings. But no one can rewind time, no matter how many times you beg; the clock won’t tick backwards.
Five years later, their former manager drags all of them to a boy band concert. As the concert starts, they all see their precious former teammate on stage, singing. Kuroko Tetsuya was still alive, but what happens when he doesn’t remember any of them?
Chapter Three: Incompatible Enough
 I love you.
Three words, one smile, and a naive boy. Tetsuya mentally sighed as he remembered the days when he felt so happy, blinded by that so-called happiness that made him think he couldn't feel any pain anymore, that he wouldn't feel the familiar clench in his chest anymore, that he wouldn't feel isolated and alone anymore, that he wouldn't have his heart broken anymore. Releasing another sigh, he continued walking aimlessly around the busy streets of Tokyo, isolating himself from the rest of the world. "Rui, let's go!" The Kuroko glanced to his side, finding a group of middle schoolers having fun at the usual store he and his teammates always went to. Well, used to. It felt nostalgic, and it made his heart ache. Deciding that it was enough staring, Tetsuya turned away and gripped on the straps of his school bag tightly, walking away in a much faster pace.
Faster and faster, until he realised he was running away from nothing. He stopped at a park, making his way to the playground and sitting down on one of the swings the city had provided for nearby children who wanted to play and have fun. Funny, he thought, I don't even remember when was the last time I had fun. He stared at the ground, his eyes reflecting nothing but pure sadness. "It's over," he whispered.
Running through the court, the orange coloured ball went into his line of sight. In an instant, the tealhead merely tapped the ball with the tip of his fingers - though hard enough to make it turn at another direction - and passed it to his light; Aomine Daiki. Catching the ball, Aomine immediately made a dunk, making the opposing team stare at him in awe. The tealnette ran towards the other male, fist bumping him. "Nice pass," Aomine said. "Nice dunk," was Kuroko's reply.
He raised both of his hands, covering the lower portion of his face as his shoulders began shaking just slightly, enough to make it obvious that he was trying so hard not to cry. "It's.. It's all over.."
"Kurokocchi, so mean!" The blond whined, trying to hug a certain boy who was attached to the book he was currently reading. "You're noisy, Kise-kun." The latter commented, which made Kise feel offended. Bringing his knees to his chest, he buried his face in between them and began muttering something almost inaudible for who knows how long. But he was unaware that actually, Kuroko was trying to hide his laughter after seeing such reactions. He then leaned against the other's shoulder, closing both his book and his eyes. "Kise-kun is like a puppy; he needs constant attention and love," the Aquarius commented.
"Why?" He suddenly asked. Kuroko gripped the chains tightly, all of his frustration slowly turning to wet, salty tears and making their way down his pale cheeks. "What did I do wrong? All I wanted was — for us to be together, what was so wrong about that? Did I make a mistake along the way?" He began furiously wiping away the tears with his sleeves, at the same time trying to figure out just what the hell was wrong with him.
"Tetsuya," a voice called. Raising his head, he saw the same ocean blue eyes staring right back at him. His twin stared at him with such sorry eyes, Tetsuya wanted nothing more than to scream his heart out. He wanted to push his brother away, he wanted to tell him to get lose. He wanted to release all of his frustration. "He hurt you, didn't he?" The elder asked, but the Teiko student didn't respond. Instead, he looked away and gripped on the swing's chains. That's all it took for Takumi to know he was right. Sighing, the elder brother made his way towards the latter and wiped the tears with his thumb, kissing his twin's forehead before pulling him into a tight embrace. "Everything is going to be alright, don't worry. As long as we're together," he smiled, "everything will be okay," Tetsuya ended the latter's sentence, as if in sync. "Let's go, the dance lessons are about to start," said the elder twin. Nodding, the younger stood up, making sure his face wasn't glazed of salty tears anymore.
I wanted to be the prince in our perfect fantasy,         But the poison apples we shared locked me in eternity,         After dark, it was chaos — I had a steel heart,         I was a voodoo doll constantly getting ripped apart!
"Alright, take five!" Said the leader of the group, which was none other than Kuroko Takumi. He was currently in a dance studio with his four other members. Those who were the members with Takumi were Kuroko Tetsuya, Kazehaya Seiji, Kisaragi Yuki and Kiryū Shiro. It was definitely ironic that all of their surnames began with the letter "K".
Kazehaya Seiji. He is at the age of 17, being the eldest of the group. Seiji has blonde hair with matching topaz eyes. His mother works as a model while his father works as a movie director; Not only is he the eldest in the group, he is the eldest son in their family of five. He always takes care of his juniors, making him quite close with each and every one of them. The juniors often refer him as either Sei-nii or Sei okaa-san, since he was such a mother hen.
Kisaragi Yuki, age 16. Yuki has dark black hair, his bangs dyed to a slight crimson with matching dark brown eyes. His parents' occupation were as actors, though they usually executed their work outside of the country. Being an only child, he tries to have his group mates meet ever so often just so he could hang out with them, even if it meant deadly training from the Black Demon King — I mean, Takumi.
Kiryū Shiro, age 15, the same age as Tetsuya and Takumi. He has white, snowy hair and grey eyes. Although they are the same age, he's a few months younger, making him the youngest of the five. Even as the youngest, he preferred not making people do his work — probably to show he was responsible — unless it was necessary. He gives nicknames to all of the members, with an excuse that their names were too 'boring.'
Although the five of them has different personalities, they got along quite well. That is, after a few months of being with each other. From Tetsuya's point of view, Seiji was a kind older brother/mother — just like Takumi, Yuki was the brother with a foul mouth and Shiro was the youngest (and often spoiled) sibling of the bunch. But to him, they were his everything.
"Practice is hard as always," Yuki commented, taking the water bottle that was on the floor near the corner and drinking from it. "Sit down when you're drinking, Yuki." Seiji frowned, wiping his sweat with his towel. Yuki rolled his eyes in response, muttering a soft apology before walking towards the window, leaning against its frame. "The fact that we're only a few months from debuting is still unbelievable," He muttered, looking up and staring at the full moon. Seiji smiled at his words, walking towards him and leaning against the wall right next to where Yuki was standing. "It's exciting, isn't it? We've been here since we were kids and we're finally getting our debut."
"Hey Tsuya-kun," Shiro called Tetsuya, "when are you going to give the letter? The registration letter for the basketball team, I mean. Haruko-san told us to resign from our respective clubs 'cause the company will drop us out of our current school and enter us in a private idol school, right?" Haru-chan – or Haruko, – was their manager, and Tetsuya often saw her as a mom like Seiji, only more of a worrywart. The tealnette looked at him for a good few seconds before turning away, "After the Finals are over."
"And the Finals are in... two months, right?" Seiji asked, and Tetsuya nodded. Then his gaze fell back to the floor, the atmosphere in the room began to morph to an uncomfortable and bleak tension. "The basketball club just isn't the same anymore," the second youngest said before anyone even asked. "It's crumbling to bits, and that makes me quite sad," Kuroko murmured, his head hung low. Before he knew it, the four other members sat down on the bench beside him, their usual smile plastered on their faces.
"Don't worry," Seiji reassured him, a pat on his head.
"Everything is going to be fine," Yuki said, a pat on his back.
"Even if the whole world turns away," Shiro smiled, holding both of his hands.
"We'll always be here, beside you." Takumi ended it, as they all gave him their warmest smile. Kuroko couldn't help but smile back.
"I'm back with snacks!" The door suddenly opened, revealing their manager; Asahina Haruko. The manager was a woman in her late-twenties. She has beautiful brown hair with matching hazel eyes. She looked at her boys, the smile fading and was replaced with a worried expression. "Is something wrong? Tetsuya, are you alright? Are you sick? Did these brats hurt you?" Haruko immediately walked towards him, pushing the members away and holding the tealnette in her arms. She then wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. "Oh, my little Tetsuya needs love! Don't worry, mommy Haruko will take good care of you!"
"Oi, Haruko! You can't just come barge in and take away Tetsuya whenever you feel like it!" Yuki growled, pointing at the woman who was completely ignoring his words. "That's right, Haru-chan! Learn how to share!" Shiro agreed with the second eldest of the group, but was then silenced when Haruko glared at the two, "Shush."
"Yes ma'am."
Takumi and Seiji watched the scene in amusement, the studio was always so lively whenever everyone was there. The older twin then went to his younger brother, whispering in his ear, "Don't overthink about it, it's not good for you." He smiled, ruffled his hair and stood up properly, clapping his hands twice to get everyone's attention. "Shall we continue practicing?" The leader asks, and everyone nodded almost at the same time. "Okay, one last round!"
The Kuroko twins were currently in their family's limousine, having a nice long chat. "Aren't you coming home to the mansion?" Takumi asked, and the latter shook his head in response. "I'll still stay in the apartment until after the Finals. Besides, Mother and Father are still in Australia. They won't be back until next month." The younger replied, which made the other sigh. Honestly, he was worried about his younger brother living separately away from him, but Tetsuya already promised that he'd be alright, so... "Fine. But if anything happens, I'm going to drag you back home."
Arriving at his apartment, he got out of the limousine and walked upstairs, taking out the key and unlocking the door before entering the small apartment. Kuroko placed his school bag on the couch, walking to the kitchen to make himself supper. While waiting, he went to the living room, taking out his photo album. Opening it, he stared at the pictures in the album, memories of those times where he and his teammates were still together as a team began to resurface inside his confuzzled mind. "I wonder when was the last time I saw them smile..." He murmured, tears beginning to prickle by the corner of his eyes.
Suddenly, he smelled something burning. Tetsuya closed the album and walked towards the source of the smell, only to find that half his kitchen was caught on fire. He immediately ran to his room, trying to put all the items that he cherished more than his life inside a bag. He didn't care if he would be burning alive in the fire, if the things he loved was simply going to get burned, might as well get burned together.
Just when he was about to leave his room, he turned around, only to see the fire burning everything in contact, slowly making its way towards the bedroom. Tetsuya felt terrified — earlier, he was just laughing and dancing with his teammates and now he's probably about to die. If he died now, the others were absolutely going to hate him for it. He even promised Takumi he was going to be fine!
He began to scream for help, hugging the items he tried to save earlier closer to his body. But it was a futile attempt. Soon enough, the smoke got a bit too much for him and slowly making his vision and perspective of things, completely blurry and fading. "Someone, help me...!" He tried to yell, but it only came out as a whisper. Closing both of his eyes, he saw someone come in his room before he blacked out.
Opening his eyes, he found himself in a unfamiliar white room. He tried moving his arms and legs, wincing when he felt some kind of painful jolt that went through his whole figure. As painful as it was, Kuroko turned his head to the left, finding all sorts of unknown machinery. After putting the puzzle pieces together, he realized that he was in a hospital room. I didn't die?
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a certain green head. He squinted his eyes, trying to see clearly.
"Kuroko," the man called. Kuroko instantly recognised him from his voice. "Midorima-kun?" He asked. "Where am I? What happened?" He tried sitting down, only to have the bandaged fingers of the latter pushing him down gently to the bed further. "Lie down, you're still recovering."
"You're in my family's hospital. I was walking to your house to see if you were alright, and when I was in front of your door, there was something suspicious. The door was unlocked, and there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the inside. When I opened it, I found that the apartment was on fire. I was going to run down and call the firehouse when I saw your shoes. As a friend, I went inside and found you unconscious in your bedroom." Shintaro replied, readjusting his glasses.
Kuroko looked down, feeling guilty that he almost put his teammate in danger. "I'm sorry..." Was the only thing he could say.
Midorima sighed, placing a hand on the teal locks. "Don't be." Slowly, Kuroko looked up and straight into the emerald orbs before saying, "..My answer is yes. I will go out with you."
But like a devil — I chose sinful ways that were far from right,         I was a snake who wrapped around you way too tight,     Just call me beautiful killer, Hyde and Jekyll, a sinner,     It was my biggest error to stay with you — so let's end it.
"Since your apartment was burned down, you're going to stay with me." Midorima said. The tealnette, who was reading a light novel stopped and looked at the other. "I'm fine, you don't have to worry about it. Besides, I can live somewhere else." Going back to the mansion was an option, but then he'd have to listen to Takumi's lecture about safety. He couldn't find a new apartment at this time. Yuki always asked them to come to his house, so Yuki it is.
"Where?" Shintaro asks, turning to look at the phantom man. "Where can you possibly stay at? Don't even think of lying to me, Kuroko. You live alone in that apartment. No relatives at all. Just shut up and do as I say," he mumbled the last part, avoiding eye contact.
"Midorima-kun, I can't--" Before he could say anything, his mouth was suddenly occupied. Before he realised it, the other was kissing him fully on the lips. Kuroko tried to push him away, only to get pushed on the hospital bed, the kiss deepening. Honestly, that was the first time he felt a kiss that was entirely sickening. He remembered one time during Christmas, he and Takumi were watching some chick flick movie. When the girlfriend started complaining about the boyfriend, he kissed her and Takumi let out a disgusted noise before switching the TV off and asking Tetsuya if they could do something else. When Kuroko asked why he turned the TV off, Takumi answered with, "The boyfriend didn't want to listen to his girlfriend's complains about him. He kissed her, and she stopped. That wasn't love, he just wanted her to shut up."
After a while, they both pulled away, in need of oxygen. The Cancer placed a hand on the other's cheek, caressing it. "You're going to stay with me and that's final." Kuroko didn't argue, even after that, he was trying to catch his breath. When he opened his eyes, Midorima had already left the room.
Entering the mansion owned by none other than the Midorima family, he stared at it in awe, everything in the house looked so beautiful. It wasn't as big as his own mansion — Oh no, he has a bigger one — but going to someone else's home always fascinated him somehow. Not like he was going to admit that.
"What are you looking at? Hurry up and follow me," the teen grunted, taking his boyfriend's wrist and dragging him to the guest room. "My room is just at the end of the hall. If you need anything, you know where to find me." He said before walking out of the room, closing the door with a soft 'click'.
Kuroko placed his things on the floor, walking around the huge room. "Even though my room in the mansion is a little bigger, it's not as beautiful as this.." He merely whispered, sitting down on the bed. Suddenly, his phone vibrated. Taking it out, he looked at the caller ID and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Tetsuya? Are you okay? Where are you? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, don't worry. I'm currently staying at Midorima-kun's house. I'll move back to our house as soon as I can."
"Alright. But we have practice tonight until eleven, can you go out? The schedule changed and our debut might be a little earlier than expected. But I think we're going to be fine, since we've been practicing our heads off."
"Or maybe it's just because of your deadly training."
 "What did you say?"
"Nothing, nothing. Anyway, eight to eleven?"
 "Yeah. See you there."
As the call ended, Kuroko sighed. He glanced at the clock, 5 pm. Getting up, he took everything that he needed before walking towards his boyfriend's room. He knocked on the door, only entering when he heard an almost inaudible 'come in'.
"What is it?" Midorima asked, his eyes glued on the laptop in front of him. "I need to go somewhere. I'll be back before midnight," was Kuroko's reply. He stopped typing and turned to the tealnette, his brows furrowed. "Why? Where are you going?"
"It's very important. I can't tell you, though," Kuroko said, then glanced to the side. Midorima stared at him for a few seconds, then turned back to his laptop. "Do as you please." And with that, Kuroko walked put of the room, wondering if he had somehow offended the greenhead male.
"Tetsuya, are you okay?" Takumi asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You're paler than usual." He frowned, hands now on the both side of the younger's cheeks, cupping them and caressing them with this thumb. "Did he hurt you?"
Tetsuya hesitated to tell him, after all Midorima didn't actually harm him or anything. Rather, Kuroko felt a little bit distant with the other and even though they were already somehow intimate to each other to the point of kissing, though Kuroko never had a say in it. "No, not really."
Sensing the tealnette needed help, Yuki decided to speak up, "You can stay at my place if you want, Tetsuya. I don't mind having company. Actually, I want to have company." He offered. "I'll just stay there for a couple more days and I'll stay with you then. Is that fine, Takumi?" Kuroko asked, looking back at at he elder. "Sure, I've got no problem with it. Yuki is lonely, after all." was Takumi's reply.
"Don't you think it's weird?" Shiro asked. "Tsuya-chan gets together with those miracles and they toy with him and his emotions. After a while, they toss him away like he's nothing. And then another Miracle comes and the cycle begins again." Kuroko only flinched in realisation.
Seiji frowned at the youngest's words, he was right. None of the Miracles actually showed Kuroko they wanted a long-term relationship. Rather, it seemed like they wanted to toy with the phantom and see how far they could break him. Noticing that the bluenette had gotten quiet, he then saw Kuroko was shaking. Mom side triggers, he immediately wrapped his arms around the other, whispering soothing words as he ran his fingers through the teal strands. "Stop talking, Shiro. You're going to make him have another anxiety attack."
"You're unbelievable," Seiji murmured.
"Idiot," Yuki blurted out.
"Your menu has been tripled. Go practice and make sure you master all six songs," Takumi said.
"But I'm only performing two songs for the debut concert!" Shiro tried to argue, but decided to do it anyway. Probably since the other group mates were sending him death glares.
It was almost a quarter to midnight when he came back. He walked to his room, yawning as today's practice was a lot harder than the previous ones. Right now, he just wanted to go to his room and sleep, sleep and sleep. He didn't even realise where he was going until he bumped into someone. "Ah, I apologise," He gave a short bow before walking away, rubbing both of his eyes.
"Wait," the unnamed man called, and Kuroko did and turned around. "Are you Kuroko Tetsuya?" Nodding, Kuroko turned to face the man. "I'm Midorima Kento, Shintaro's father." Figures. "I know about your relationship with Shintaro," the tealnette stiffened. "To be honest, I didn't think he would date a boy." Kuroko knew what was going to happen next. "Let me get straight to the point; I want you to leave him alone." Wow, rude.
Kuroko faced him, looking straight into his eyes, staying silent for a few minutes. "I understand that you don't approve of us, Midorima-san. But with all due respect, I wish for those words to come from Midorima-kun himself. If I leave without telling him why, that would be selfish of me." Kento was beet red, how dare this commoner refuse to do what he says.
"However," Kuroko added, "if you are uncomfortable with me staying here, then I will leave. I have a friend who offered me to stay with him, so I will take my leave now." He bowed before leaving the elder male, making his way to the guest room.
When he did open the door, he saw Midorima at the study table. "Midorima-kun? Why are you here?" He asks, but Midorima didn't answer. Kuroko then noticed that Midorima was holding a photo, and then he recognised the photo as the one he took with Aomine when they were still in their first years.
Midorima then suddenly pulled out a lighter and burn the picture, Kuroko standing there for a few seconds, trying to process what the fuck he was doing. When he did, he flipped shit. Tetsuya almost immediately ran towards the greennette and took the photo away, holding it tightly in his hands. It was the only reminder that him and Aomine were once friends, and now, it's gone.
"How could you?" His voice barely came out as a whisper, but it was loud enough for the whole room to hear. "How could you?!" He faced the greenhead male, anger visible in his blue eyes. "Why, you ask?" Shintaro repositioned his glasses, "Because it's useless to keep things like that." That was the last straw. He raised his hand and immediately slapped the latter, not even thinking twice about it.
"Then I guess it's useless to keep this relationship when you think you can do things like this and get away with it." He replied, took his bag and walked out of the room. He met Kento downstairs, but refused to look at him and made his way out and to Yuki's house. When he was far enough, he felt his cheeks get wet and only then realised that he was crying.
 Stupid me.
I won't linger around you like a ghost, This is the real me that I show to you, so go!

Aira: Wah, what in heck is this…
Tatsumi: Is there something wrong, Aira-san?
Aira: Come here for a sec, you two should also take a look at this synopsis… For some reason, there’s this string of unbelievable points lined up… Hiro-kun, you can read Japanese, right?
Hiiro: Yes, I believe I can well enough! After all, I’ve read and learned a general outline of how things work in the city as well from the books Nii-san’s left behind.
Aira: Hmm. Was the content of those books so partial to certain subjects? Is that why you’re so detached from the modern world?
Tatsumi: I see… Oh, this is… I don’t know if I should call it peculiar, simply astounding, or something else.
Hiiro: Which part? …Wait, it’s hard to read with all of our faces so close to each other—Aira, I’m sorry but could you become a proxy and read it out for us?
Aira: Got it, got it. Some~how it feels like I’ve become the teacher in a nursery.
Then I’ll read it, okay. ‘To the following four members of ES, Kazehaya Tatsumi, Amagi Hiiro, Shiratori Aira and—what’s the correct reading for this?
I suspect the name of this fourth person is the name of that person who was supposedly behind the ceiling boards.
Rei—… Rei…se? Mayoi? Their first name is in katakana but I can’t even begin to get a clue about how to read their last name!
Tatsumi: Hm. I believe this should be read as ‘Ayase’.
Aira: Ayase… So the name of the unknown fourth person is ‘Ayase Mayoi’. To be honest, I’d like them to stop hiding and show themselves sooner rather than later.
Hiiro: Me too! However, I think they’re probably just shy!
Aira: They’re hiding in the ceiling because they’re scared? It smells like trouble…
They’re an underachiever just like us, so surely there must also be some kind of problem with them, but still.
Anyway, I’m gonna continue reading.
According to what I just looked up, Trickstar’s live performance, which Tenshouin-senpai told us about, is going to start soon so we should hurry up.
'Kazehaya Tatsumi, Amagi Hiiro, Shiratori Aira, Ayase Mayoi—these four will be referred to as ‘irregulars’ from here on—must participate in this summer’s MDM in order to prove their worth. In the case they fail at this or if they do not have the will to complete this task, they will be fired by ES.’
Tatsumi: This must be what Eichi-san was talking about earlier. It truly feels like quite the unreasonable thing is being asked of us, seeing it written down like this.
Aira: Yeah. But there probably aren’t any problems on the legal side. There was a clause in the contract we signed with ES that meant something along the lines of ‘you absolutely have to listen to what ES tells you’, after all.
Hiiro: I think it’s a given to abide by the law.
Aira: Ok, boomer… At any rate, that’s just what I heard so let’s leave that aside for now—The real problem is what comes after.
‘The irregulars must gather their belongings and move into the Starmony dorm room we designated to them as soon as possible.’
‘The four of them must cohabitate here until the end of the MDM.’
Hiiro: The Starmony dorm?
Aira: There’s a sparkly new building next to ES, right? That’s the dormitory where ES affiliated idols reside in. It’s called the Starmony dormitory.
On top of the building being freshly constructed, as long as you’re an ES idol the rent is almost free—at least that's the kind of fine building I heard it was in rumors.
I have lots of very important treasures at home so I didn’t move there because of them though.
But this isn’t the kind of situation where I can be stubborn—It can’t be helped if it’s an order from ES, I need to move out.
What a pain… I don’t get what they’re trying to do by making us do this and also, ‘cohabitating!’ with strangers seems like it’ll take a toll on me.
Tatsumi: Fufu. I have a policy to have little to no personal belongings, so I can move almost immediately. Shall I move in first and make sure the cleaning and the like are done ahead of time?
Aira: No, let’s do that with all of us. You’re still recovering, right? We can’t make you do strenuous manual labor.
Hiiro: I’m very thankful to have been given a place to stay, after all up until now I didn’t have anywhere to go so I had to spend my nights at places like parks.
Aira: You’re casually dropping quite the bomb. Did you run away from home or something, Hiro-kun?
Hiiro: That’s incorrect. For what it’s worth, I did get permission from my house to leave under the pretext of bringing back my brother, and I haven’t been disowned or anything of the sort.
It’s just that I don’t quite understand how to obtain food, clothing, and shelter in the city.
I’ve been able to stay relatively clean thanks to the shower and laundry rooms of ES…
And I was able to eat delivery bento and the like whenever I did the work the ‘producer’ introduced me to.
I haven’t been able to live like other humans do, so it’s a great help to have been given a place to stay.
Aira: Why are you living on the edge like that… Fine, so back to the document.
At the same time, the four irregulars must form a unit and, after consulting with their producer, hold a DreamFes to introduce said unit as soon as possible.’
Hiiro: Everything must be done ‘as soon as possible’… I wonder why ES is being so impatient.
Aira: Hm~. Don’t they probably want to take care of their unwanted luggage early on?
Tatsumi: Hm. In that case, it would be incomprehensible as to why they would use time and money for their ‘unwanted luggage’.
As I thought all these various circumstances invite suspicion.
