I’m going to say this right here and now as a plea to everyone out there that consumes fanart and fanfiction: 

please, please, please, PLEASE let the authors and artists know if you like their stories or art. we rely on feedback to know if we should keep going or not, we depend on views and reblogs/retweets and interaction in general with other fans to tell us if they like it or if we’re just wasting our time doing this stuff. 

without interaction, we’ll stop. all of those works that you love so much will go away just as easily as they were put up. even just a kind word in the tags does wonders for self esteem in ways you don’t understand. there isn’t a worse feeling out there than posting something you worked months if not years on only for it to get a few likes and nothing else.

interaction, feedback, even just a keysmash if that’s all you can do, is VITAL for content creators, because if we shove things out into the void and nothing comes back, then why are we doing it? why are we bothering?

as a fic writer, i am BEGGING. YOU. to tell your favorite authors and artists that you appreciate them and what they do.

I can’t fucking even get hired on at fucking mcdonalds, my hair is falling out in clumps from stress, and now my doctor just told me i can’t get tested for asthma at her office and I’ll have to go somewhere else which i caN’T DO BECAUSE I GOT KICKED OFF MY MOM’S INSURANCE

i am so so so fucking ready to get my asthma test taken and get it over with to find out if that’s really what’s going on or not because i am so tired of not being able to breathe and having chest pain all the time

i just hope that’s what it is so i don’t have to do a thousand other tests and can just get some RELIEF.
