Who the Heck is Going to Win the West
The Western Conference NBA playoffs is set and I have no idea what is going to happen. Now you might say it is not set yet because we do not know who the 8 seed is going to be, but they don't matter. The one thing we know about the Western Conference Playoff picture is that the Thunder are going to make easy work of whoever it is. Actually, Nico Harrison probably thinks the Mavs can beat them, but let's get back to reality.
The obvious answer is the Thunder will win the West because they were clearly the best team this year, and have like 15 more wins than the 2 seed Rockets. They are talented, deep, healthy, and have the likely MVP on their team as well. The main reason to bet against them would be their youth. The funny thing is the 2 seed Rockets have even less experience than them, besides their head coach Ime Udoka. They are also missing a MVP caliber player like Shai on their team. But they are deep, tough, and do have a few veterans that have been in the playoffs before. The 3 seed Lakers have MVP caliber players like Luka and LeBron but they do not have the depth, especially at center, like the other teams. They actually have no depth, and their first round matchup is against a team with 2 talented 7 footers in Rudy Golbert and Naz Reid. However, it is hard to forget the image of Luka torching Golbert last year out of my mind. The 4 seed Nuggets literally fired their coach about a week ago, shout out Bobby Smurda. They also have the best player in the world, but they also have Russell Westbrook, and no shooting, and even less depth. So yeah, not looking too good for them.
Lowkey I think a lot of people believe in the 5-7 seeds more than the 2-4. Part of the reason why is because all of these teams have been on fire to close the season. Remind you if a couple of games had gone differently, all these standings could have flipped. That gets me to the 5 seed Clippers, who won one of the games of the season on the last day against the Warriors to knock them in the play-in. They won 18 of their last 21 and Kawhi actually looks healthy for the playoffs (knocks on wood). I actually think that the consensus is that the Clippers will beat the Nuggets in the first round but who knows. A week from now, Kawhi could be hurt and James Harden could be choking. I honestly hope not for these 2 guys because they are both due for a good playoff run. Speaking of a good playoff run, the Timberwolves made it to the WCF last year but this season got off to a rough start. However, they finished the season 19-7 and would like to send a thank you card to the Clippers for beating the Warriors so they didn't have to be in the play-in. Although, I kind of wish they would have been in the play-in so we could have seen highlights when Patrick Beverly celebrated their last play-in win like a championship a few years ago. Like I mentioned earlier, they do have the size on the Lakers and could present some problems defensively. This is definitely the most star studded matchup with Luka, LeBron, and Ant. Also a lot of techs with Luka and Ant. The last team I want to discuss is the Warriors, who just barely won their play-in game against the Grizzlies. I feel like the Warriors went from a real contender to probably not in like a week. Their record with Jimmy has been insane but they had a couple of shocking losses to end the season, and they seem to be banged up a little. It doesn't inspire hope from me, but it is hard not to get excited about a second round Lakers-Warriors matchup.
I was literally about to make picks but I kept second guessing myself so much I'm not going to do it anymore lol. I think the Thunder will make the conference finals, but I could see them getting knocked out by the Clippers. If they make the conference finals, I think they will win, probably against the winner of Lakers-Wolves, but who knows. I don't think there would be a conference finals I wouldn't be excited for, and that is why I'm so excited and can't wait for the games to start.

Adding to the excitement, this isn't the same matchup we saw earlier in the season. Since the arrival of Kawhi Leonard for the Clippers and Jimmy Butler III for the Warriors, formidable duos have emerged. Consequently, keep an eye on the Harden-Leonard connection for the Clippers and the Curry-Butler III pairing for the Warriors in this crucial game. #KawhiLeonard #JimmyButler #NBAStars #NBAPlayoffs #ClippersVsWarriors #WinOrGoHome

“Sky is the limit for her and what she can do on the court in terms of her impact in the game but off the court as well,” ani Curry sa katunggali.
Reserves sina Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard at Karl-Anthony Towns.
Captain ng East si Giannis Antetokounmpo, kasama niyang starters sina Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum at Joel Embiid (injured). Pinili ng coaches na reserves sina Bam Adebayo, Paolo Banchero, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Donovan Mitchell at Julius Randle (injured).
Hinugot ni commissioner Adam Silver sina Trae Young at Scottie Barnes bilang pamalit kina Embiid (left knee surgery) at Randle (dislocated shoulder).
