Has christian always been obsessed with max or is this a post championship development?
good question. the answer is he's always been a freak ab max ! these are all pre-championship things: [long post incoming! click through the links for the video]
look at that kitten goes limp when you grab it by the neck grip
in 2015 (!!!) he's bragging to toto how they couldn't get max, and how redbull plans on keeping max for another 10 years at least 😋
in 2016, christian ponders how he can legally be his father......
in 2017, while daniel is still team leader, christian talks about how he believes max is world champion quality 😭😭 and they're ready to build the team around max cause he's their long term vision
in 2018, after max crashed out in monaco -- christian convinces him to come to next race without his dad, which would be the first time max travelled to a race alone. he scores a podium! christian is full of praise 🥹
christian comforting max after he crashed and came to the pitwall to get cuddles
by 2019 christian is already calling him the best driver in the grid 😭😭😭 mind you, there's a 5x WDC in merc, and a 4x WDC that was His Former Driver
they went on a boss employee nba date together??? usually drivers are sent as teammates like esteban and pierre or yuki and nyck earlier this year so... go figure 😭
daniel and checo both answering on if christian is obsessed with max (they both said yes, on separate occasions. max said 'not yet.')
genuinely a freak moment. christian talking about how max didn't start to shave when they joined ??? also christian answering when the question was directed at max and max is just ☺️
max having a headache and christian dadding him 🥺
whatever this pic from 2021 is 😵💫
long story short: yes :) he's always been obsessed with maxy
(and this isn't even everything, just the highlights. if I put in every hug and heart eyes and praise it would be like an entire academic dissertation.)
#a pre 2022 primer of sorts#but not entirely comprehensive#have fun clicking the links !#blorbocedes ask#my gifs#mv1

It’s easy to forget that people of African descent come from a rich legacy of community and wealth-building as the first kings and queens on the planet. In a world that stifles Black progress and seeks to recreate a Eurocentric world-view of history, the brilliance of Black business owners shines through like a diamond in the rough.
As communities of the African diaspora, from Historic Greenwood District to Cape Town, South Africa, seek to build generational wealth after decades and centuries of pillaging and persecution, a few exceptional entrepreneurs stand out. The 10 wealthiest people of African descent prove the potential that’s often locked away inside Black people everywhere.
Using data from Forbes, which tracks the net worth of the wealthiest human beings in the world, The Black Wall Street Times compiled a list of the top 10 wealthiest Black people. Out of the 10, four are American, and three are Nigerian. Additionally, two are women, and eight are men.
What lessons can we learn from their success? Let’s meet them.
10. Folorunsho Alakija — Nigerian businesswoman and philanthropist.
Alakija has an estimated net worth of $1 billion as of 2020. Alakija is the founder and executive vice chairman of Famfa Oil, one of Nigeria’s largest oil exploration companies. Entering the business world with a fashion label, Alakija rose to financial prestige by cultivating high-profile clients, including the wife of former Nigerian president Ibrahim Babangida. At 72 years old, Forbes ranks her as the 20th wealthiest person in Africa and the wealthiest woman on the continent.
I have faced many hurdles in my own life, but I have learned that with the right mindset, every challenge is a chance to create bigger and better opportunities. pic.twitter.com/KJDholX9tx— Folorunso Alakija (@alakijaofficial) March 20, 2023
9. Mohammed Ibrahim — British-Sudanese businessman and philanthropist.
Ibrahim has an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion as of 2023. Born in Sudan, he’s the founder and chairman of Celtel International, one of Africa’s largest mobile phone companies. He also established the Mo Ibrahim Foundation to support good governance in Africa. He sold Celtel International to Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Company for a whopping $3.4 billion in 2005, pocketing $1.4 billion in the process.

8. Michael Jordan — Former NBA player and American businessman.
The six-time NBA champion has stayed busy in his retirement years. He’s now a successful businessman with an estimated net worth of $2 billion as of 2023. Jordan is the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets franchise and has several other investments in business ventures across the world.
7. Strive Masiyiwa — Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist.
Masiyiwa has an estimated net worth of $2.1 billion as of 2023. In 1998, he overcame government opposition to launch the mobile phone network Econet Wireless Zimbabwe. He also owns stakes in fiber optic and fintech companies in several African countries. Together with his wife Tsitsi, he found HigherLife Foundation. The organization supports orphaned and low-income children in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Burundi and Lesotho.

Our people need urgent help. Looking forward to their support. pic.twitter.com/SvRuG7CSB0— H.E. Dr. Joyce Banda (@DrJoyceBanda) March 20, 2023
6. Oprah Winfrey — American media mogul and philanthropist.
Arguably one of the most famous Black American women, Winfrey has a net worth of $2.5 billion as of 2023. She is the founder and chairwoman of Harpo Productions, which produces television shows, films, and digital media for a variety of platforms. Beginning her career as a TV journalist, Winfrey transitioned her hit talk show into a media empire with the OWN network, reinvesting profits from movies into more ventures.

NBA 2020s: the USA vs World Era
In nba 2k the past two games they named 2010-14 the Lebron Era and the Steph era being apparently from 2017 to I’m guessing 2019?
There been some talk about the division and timeframe like would it not all be Lebron era for example or why specifically 3-5 years and so on like I would just say 15-19 to make it even with Lebron or just call it Lebron vs Curry era
But I want to discuss the current era of 2020-24 and potentially onwards
I want to call it the USA vs the World Era
Championships
Unlike the past decade the 2020s have had no repeat champions so can’t say a team dominated like Lebron Heat or Superteam Warriors
It’s been a different team each year and not in the 2010 way where every year has either Lebron or Steph in it
Something I noticed is that the main player of each team has been alternating between a U.S. player and a foreign player
2020: Lebron & AD (US)
2021: Giannis (World)
2022: Stephen (US)
2023: Jokic (World)
2024: Tatum & Brown (US)
So it’s been back and forth this decade so far and while we don’t know 2025 and on at this time if an era is 5 years like 2K did then this is a good frame to go off of
Foreign player dominance
Players such as Jokic Giannis and Embiid if you count him as foreign have won the past 5 MVP awards showing to at least a lot they have been the best players in the NBA
Not even counting Luka Doncic, Shai, and even Wemby now
And there has been a talking point about foreign players both positive and negative because of their dominance recently
To the point where the negative can be seen as xenophobic
Which has created a sort of USA players vs foreign player debate
Rivalry’s
While in a sense team rivalry’s are dead in the nba they’re are some player rivalries that make it a point touching on
Doncic vs Booker (Suns vs Mavs)
Doncic vs Kawhi/PG (Mavs vs Clippers)
Lakers vs Nuggets (Lebron vs Jokic) (I know those fans might deny it but they played three times in the playoffs in 5 years two of them in the conference finals and both teams are definitely trying harder against each other than others)
Bucks vs Heat (Heat with Butler has been one of those teams that stop the Giannis Bucks or at least give him trouble and they’re matchups in the post season has been consistent)
All these have a world player against a U.S. player
There’s other rivalries like Celtics vs Heat but these I feel are consistent and fit the theme in the past 5 years
Plus it’s a still a US dominated (in number of players) league so just lower odds for other rivalries with foreign players
Olympics
This isn’t technically the NBA but a big thing that occurred was the Olympics and is a good “finale” for this 5 year era
Not even discussing the “World Champions” / best in the world topic brought up by Noah Lyles
It was questioned if they could win Gold due to how much better a lot of countries have gotten and it was definitely tested in the 2024 Olympics
This while putting a pin in the U.S. vs World debate for Olympics since USA won, does bring up that when Lebron Steph & Durant retire the scales seemingly heavily tip in the worlds favor in some eyes going forward as it took 3 top 15 players ever to squeeze out those wins against the other top teams like Serbia and France
Plus other talking points like Tatum the recent nba champion barely playing, is Anthony Edwards ready to take over, and so on
Misc
Until 2022 the rising star game was USA vs World
There’s been a want for that to return and be applied to the main All Star game
More foreign players coming over to the NBA now more than before including top draft picks
NBA being more global by having games in Africa and other places in the world
If you include 2019 the champions were the Toronto raptors which is the only non US team in the NBA so while not led by a foreign player it is the “foreign” team and continues the back and forth pattern
All these make the aspect that narratively it’s been USA vs World players believable to me
I do think if a team like the Celtics repeat as champions it could skew some points here but overall at just these five years I prefer this than just calling it the Jokic Era because he has three mvps

Patrick McCaw is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Toronto Raptors. After the NBA finals, Patrick McCaw became a 3 time NBA champion winning 3 rings consecutively in his 3 year NBA career. Patrick McCaw was the 38th pick in the 2nd round of the 2016 NBA draft and was selected originally by the Milwaukee Bucks and was later traded to the Golden State Warriors. He stayed on at Golden State for 2 years winning 2 championships(2017 and 2018) with them. He later signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team which waived him off after 3 games. After that Patrick signed with Toronto Raptors which ended up winning the NBA finals 2019. This image is a screen shot of the video whose link is given as below Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh8BM6H6LAI *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Patrick has been the only player since 2003 to win 3 NBA championships consecutively and the 7th player to win a championship each of his 1 st 3 years in the NBA. While there are great players like Allen Iverson, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Tracy McGrady etc who never won a championship despite their incredible talents, Patrick McCaw seems to have won 3 championships without breaking a sweat. As of now, he remains with the Toronto Raptors, but lets see if he ends up winning a championship again after this season. For now, McCaw doesn't even know what it is like to NOT win a championship.

These may seem alot but the lists goes on and on, Lebron is ranked top 2 on "75 NBA players of all time just behind jordan, but lets talk about where this all started.
A young LeBron James was locally known as a basketball prodigy ever since in elementary school, he was named Ohio's Mr. Baskrtball (hs player of the year) three times while leading Akrons St. Vincent Mary High School to three state championships in his four years on the team. He was a national media sensation in his young year after showing up on Sports Illustrated where he was named by the magazine as "The Chosen One." In 2003 he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall in 2003 NBA draft, and he would sign a $90 million contract with Nike shoe company. As he started in Cleveland Caveliers alot of pressure went on by him, but he didnt get affected by it and he lead the team in scoring, steals and minutes played over 2003-04 season, and winning ROTY (rookie of the year) In 2004-2005 he became a starting forward on the Eastern Conference All Star Team, in 2006-2007 LeBron James led Cleveland to the NBA finals, the cavaliers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs but James postswason led many observers to place him in the very best players in the league. He held the NBA in scoring in 2007-2008 season and earned first team ALL NBA honours, in 2008-2009 he achieved the leagues MVP following the season he averaged nearly 30PPG and named MVP again. In 2009-2010 he went to the Miami Heat which had D Wade and Bosh, he helped miami reach the finals but lost to the Dallas Mavericks, in 2011-2012 he averaged 27.1 PPG and won his third mvp, this time he defeated OKC Thunder and won the championship and reigned as the finals MVP, in 2012-2013 he averaged 26.8 PPG, 7.3 APG and a career high 8 RPG while posting .565 field goal percentage. The heat went in the finals again, Lebron rematching with the spurs but they lost again in the five game series. In 2014 he went back to the cavs and faced the greatest threats at his time, the Golden State Warriors, theyre dynasty was starting with the players, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins, LeBron averaged 35.8 PPG, 13.3 RPG and 8.8 APG but managed to lose to the Dynasty. In 2015-16 in the finals, Cleveland and Warriors face again, Warriors needed one win left to win the championship since it was 3-1 but LeBron overturned it and made it 3-4 Lebron won the championship. After doing that LeBron currently staying in the Los Angeles Lakers, he won another championship.
