The drummer featured here is Kawaguchi Senri, born in 1997 (so still a couple of years older than 99er Ayapan, but still with the current debuted H!P age range). She’s featured as one of Drummerworld’s Top 500 drummers. Her Zildjian profile page, her Wikipedia page. The song is Lyrics/Composition/Arrangement all by Nakamura Akihiko, who has also done some songs for Juice=Juice and Airi. He is also younger than me D: D: D: The last time I saw such a jazz-based style of drumming on Upcoming, it was for an Eric Fukusaki song. (Best I can describe the difference right now is how there’s more sub-rhythms and emphasis on the cymbals on the up-beats, where a more rock style focuses more on drums and downbeats? Also, the finest subdivision tends to be in thirds, instead of halves. It rather reminds me of Gesu no Kiwami Otome, which, indeed, was a case of the musicians needing an outlet for their more classically trained skills away from traditional Jrock. Come With Me even does the thing of kicking into a double-time groove for the chorus.) UF continuing to expand their musician social network. I love this company for that.

"They were inspired to rename the band to The Jazz Avengers, like a superhero movie series, since the band featured eight highly skilled players. As I mentioned above, having a brass section comprising only saxophone players is quite an unusual format because the section normally includes trumpet and trombone players. Apparently, it was not intentional and came about naturally when the German event initially requested “young female Japanese musicians.”

“I had never played in such a format before,” said WaKaNa, adding that when she played together with the three other saxophonists for the first time, she was amazed by the powerful, dense sound they produced.

“I usually play standing alone in front. It was a moving experience that we could create such deep and brilliant sounds when we played together either in unison or in harmony,” she said."

Chacha's newest song easily become one of my favourite (=^^=) I can say that this is one of his best songs! And all the tracks in this album is fabulous ☆ミ An album filled with good music from my favourite musicians (Kozo-san, Chacha, IKUO, Kawaguchi Senri and Nagai-san) 🌼🌼

I also adore on how Kozo-san never stopped supporting Chacha and Nagai-san through all these years..

Senri Kawaguchi, The Stick Mistress

he world of rock and hard metal is quite demanding and frustrating. That is why it is not easy to find many successful women in it. However, there are a few, like Senri Kawaguchi, who has made it.

Senri Kawaguchi was born in the suburbs of Nagoya, Japan, in 1997. She was only five when she started playing drums, which has pushed her to be the best in metal and hard rock. It is not very easy to find such a young female drummer making a name in this industry. But she has defied all odds to leave a mark that others would follow.
