Thinking of cat!zai and owner!Chuuya headcanons for absolutely no reason:

Dazai meowing at the bedroom door at 3 in the morning to be let in, then he starts escalating and scratching the door until Chuuya, a half-awake zombie, stumbles over and swings the door open before climbing back into bed

Dazai also hops on the bed and moves about restlessly. Chuuya can feel his weight sinking into the bed around him as Dazai aimlessly walks in circles until he approaches, loudly purring, and settles against Chuuya's side

But it doesn't stop there because Dazai starts making biscuits against Chuuya's side. He paws at Chuuya and some threads of Chuuya's nightshirt come loose when Dazai's claws catch in them. He hears every tiny rip of threads being pulled

The reason Chuuya started closing his door and keeping Dazai out is because more than once Dazai wandered in while Chuuya was fast asleep, hopped on the bed, and then stepped on Chuuya's chest, startling him awake

Dazai loudly purring and rubbing against Chuuya's legs when he wants a treat. But if Chuuya picks out the wrong treat that Dazai isn't interested in, Dazai will just walk away like nothing happened. Then he'll try to bribe Chuuya at a later time

Chuuya's prone to little critters sneaking inside when the weather outside gets colder, and it also means he wakes up to presents at his bed or by his door. Dazai doesn't kill them, though, he just plays around with them and will bat at squirrel tails or bird wings

Dazai getting the late-night zoomies and dashing around the house. He knocks over a glass once, and Chuuya never woke up faster than when he heard the sound of something falling to the floor and shattering. Dazai also hiding from the scene of the crime to curl up in his cat bed

He loves watching bad weather by the window (unless it's thundering) and will snuggle against Chuuya to watch the rain or snow fall

Dazai's a pesky, mischievous kitty, but he's also Chuuya's pesky, mischievous kitty, and Chuuya likes that Dazai keeps him on his toes
