    the  forest makes for a lonesome shelter,  within its cradling branches do softer spirits dwell with their tongues soft and language unheard.  she thinks of the green gods whom linger here.  she thinks of their shape and their names,  and how time will wither away their great boughs.  she thinks of many things but she did not think to find company here. 

    ❛   ruff !  ❜   her bark echoes out across the water,  accompanied by nothing but the swelling rays behind her ears.  a sudden sound that does not warrant anything but surprise,  and perhaps warmth.  with one twitch of her right ear sne studies the figure before her with nothing but curiosity.

             He awakes to surroundings never before seen by emerald eyes, throwing him into a fit of PANIC. Breathing rapid, eyes wide, brows furrowed, he attempts to sit up though a sharp pain in his side screams at him to cease the effort. A calloused hand grasps at his side, corners of lips pulling downward when traces of blood seep through wrappings and stain his fingertips. He is not wearing his armor… presumably removed by whoever brought him here. His brand on the left side of his back must have been seen, his body trembling at the realization. Mind whirring, he has no clue what has happened to him or why he was in this room. Was he captured by someone ? Why ? Footsteps approaching alarm him of a presence, his free hand looking for something to use as a a weapon, but halting when he finds nothing. Deciding that the best course of action was to feign sleep, he shuts his eyelids, lying still in wait.
