Hi! I really like your Baki headcanons, so I was wondering if I could headcanons for the boys having a small s/o like a lot or more shorter?

Okay, let's do it.

I'm going to try a new format to describe more characters.

A thing from a high shelf

It was quite funny to watch. Honestly. He was probably trying not to laugh. But the picture he saw was funny, a little awkward, but undoubtedly sweet. The thing is, you've been trying to get a pack of cookies from the top shelf for a while now. While you were trying to finish the job you started, for some reason the idea of taking a chair did not occur to you. And of course your height was certainly not playing in your favor right now. So small and neat, you jumped, stood on chains, stretched and, alas, could not get the coveted pack in any way. And of course, this charming picture was accompanied by grumbling that the cookies could have been placed lower, and that it was probably done on purpose.

So how could he not help you? Of course he did. Coming up behind you, it took him a little effort to get the cookies off the shelf.

It has probably already become clear that he extremely likes your height and for this reason it becomes the reason for many of his jokes.

Not so long ago you decided to make a habit of walking in the park. However, with your boyfriend, every walk turned into a race. And this time was no exception.

So, as usual, you were walking behind and were already several dozen steps behind because of the length of your legs, and he was walking ahead with an energetic step, and for you he was flying, again because of the length of his legs. When you asked him to slow down for the hundredth time, he stopped. The moment you reached him, he picked you up in his arms and a second later you were sitting on his shoulders. Because of your height, your dangling legs barely reached his abs. The hands were on his head, gently running through his short hair.

... It was unexpected and perhaps sweet.

But that's only on your part. He was rather embarrassed at that moment. But he does not deny the fact that it is doubly pleasant for him to walk with you like this.

You're wearing clothes

Perhaps lately you've been noticing posts in your feed too often about how girls took guys' clothes for themselves. Someone complained about it and was outraged, someone liked it and thought it was cute. You've never done anything like this. Well, the hour of your debut has come.

When your boyfriend came home, the first thing he felt was the smell of dinner. He could clearly hear the smell of baked chicken and potatoes, as well as the notes of salad. And of course the first thing he did was head to the kitchen. And bingo! He guessed right. The appetizing-smelling chicken was cooking in the oven, and at that time you were busy with the salad.

But there was something else that he noticed. He recognized one of his hoodies on you. Oh, don't worry, she sat on you wonderfully! Despite the fact that it was a little too long, the sleeves were long and the neckline was a little wide.

And.. it caused emotions. At first, a slight surprise, and later it was replaced by tenderness and quiet joy.

He definitely has a couple dozen of that image in his phone.

Oh, it's uncritical for him, trust me. He has eyes, he knew who he was meeting and immediately appreciated your size. So... Your height is just your height. He doesn't attach much importance to it. However, he will support you if you have complexes about it.

This month has been so stressful, the last two weeks has been so ugh and books have been an escape (and if you're disabled and live in the UK, we are treated terribly in a system that makes you seem like a bad person for being unable to do things, things you probably would want to do and it sucks). My anxiety has been out of control so finding places to go in books has been a rescue this month.

This month I've read 38 books that cover novels, poetry, manga and novellas finally that really have given me new places for my mind to wander and ways to keep me up that aren't 'oh my god what if the government hates me?' - Enjoy the reviews.

Blue Exorcist Vol. 9 & 11 by Kazue Kato - A manga i've been trying to keep up with so much more recently, Blue Exorcist tells the story of Rin who finds out he is the son of Satan when his father figure gets murdered by his father, leading him to New Cross Academy, a school for exorcists. Volume 9 is the end of the first ARC and I feel 11 is the beginning of the next one as we see Rin have growth in his powers and then really becoming part of a team. Konekamaru is one of my favourite characters and has so much growth in 11, and I just really loved reading this, this month. I highly recommend it.

Orange & Pink Sunset by Ivy L James - You can find a review of this book on my blog, so I won't dwell on writing too much on this however I really enjoyed this collection. There's a real sensuality and a deep feeling to this collection that makes for lovely reading and I want to read from this author. Highly recommend looking it up and taking in some of James' work.

The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 2 by Natsu Hyuuga & Nekukurage - Another fantastic manga series (but also manwha) The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao as she becomes part of the King's Court with her impressive ability to make medicines and aphrodisiacs. It's a hyped series and for a reason with fantastic characters, fast plots and an art style that I wish I could emulate (I wish I could draw so bad, and yes I know practice). I am currently waiting for number three to be available at my library and I can't wait to continue with this series.

As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh- A beautiful story about the decisions we make in horrific situations, this book tells the story of Salama as she figures out her life, love and health in war-torn Syria. If you want to be emotionally devastated, this is the book for you, incredibly written with turns that leave you breathless and ending that leaves you dropping back on your bed emotionally spent, I'm slightly concerned for all the friends who made me read this book to be honest.

Enter Ghost by Isabel Hammad - Set in Palestine as we follow Sonia as she returns to her family after a painful romantic dalliance, Enter Ghost sees her find herself again thanks to a performance of Shakespeare. Beautifull written and crafted from beginning to end, Enter Ghost gives you a new perspective on how we react to the world we live and what it means to be under regimes where one life holds more value than others by power of passport. A timely novel that I'd recommend to everyone right now.

Doppo: Good to know the upstart son of mine has his priorities sorted out. Time to deliver the good news to Natsue!

Natsue: Oh goodness, my dear son Katsumi has finally settled his heart for someone he loves. I need to go shopping and prepare some dishes for them both! Maybe seasonal dishes would be best to celebrate a new addition to our family? *smiles*

Kato: Honestly, I didn’t expect Katsumi to like guys but to each their own. I’m happy for him, think it’d be good for him actually. When Katsumi has something he cares about, he becomes more driven and focused. Now that I think about it, they do suit each other....am I thinking too much about this? 

Suedo: Katsumi has got someone he loves huh? Funny, he seemed like the type of guy who would never settle down. Deep inside though, I always knew he was soft. Wish the best for both of them. I thought I’d be surprised, but it’s pretty normal to me. 

Baki: Katsumi’s dating Doyle? Cool. 

Retsu: While this is quite peculiar for me, I do see that they complement each other. I hope they support one another and keep each other happy through even grievous times.

Spec: Oh, Doyle is dating that BOY? Interesting! 

Yanagi: Doyle was always the odd one; now he decides to couple with a former enemy. I wouldn’t put it past him.

Katsumi-

• Oh god he’s looked foreword to this day for so long. He is a total groomzilla. Everything must be perfect. He’s definitely more into the wedding planning than his S/O is.

• Ever since he was a little boy he’s been dreaming of his wedding day. Now he gets to marry his soulmate at long last.

• Doppo and Natsue help him get ready. Doppo helps straighten his suit as Natsue does his hair. He looks in the mirror one last time before heading to the alter.

• He stands, Doppo and his closest friends by his side- then the music begins and his life partner then makes their way down the isle- now he chokes.

• Doppo grabs his shoulder to comfort him but Katsumi can’t help but sob as his soon to be spouse gets closer. This is easily the happiest day of his life.

• Katsumi and his partner’s first dance is so sweet. They slow dance to one of their favorite songs- Katsumi knows all the words so he serenades them as they sway back and forth with their foreheads touching.

• It’s a fun party! With good food, good drinks, and good company. But Katsumi really wants to finally have some alone time with his spouse.

• Then it’s off to the honeymoon! Katsumi wants to go somewhere private and tropical, of course he’s got resorts, restaurants, and beaches booked already!

• With his bags packed and his bride/groom by his side he’s ready to go on their next adventure. He’s relived to finally have his happily ever after.

Katou-

• He remained strong through out the whole process. His throat got a little tight while he was doing his hair and putting on his suit.

• The second he looks up and sees his S/O walking down the isle he BREAKS. He’s a sobbing and dribbling mess. Someone get this boy a box of tissues.

• Suedo is his best man. Katsumi and a few of his other karate brothers are by his side. He can barely get a word out when it’s time to say his vows. He chokes up so bad.

• Cries the whole wedding. When he’s finally able to kiss his bride/groom they’ll be able to taste the salty tears in his lips.

• Clings to his spouse’s side throughout the whole reception. His arms are tightly wrapped around their waist or arm. His forehead is pressed to their shoulder. “YOu LoOk SoOoOo BeAuTiFuL Y/N.” He repeats and sobs over and over again. Also “I WuV YoU sO mUcH.” He cries.

• He doesn’t stop sobbing till the reception. Once he gets a little alcohol in his system he’s back to his usual happy-go-lucky self.

• He dances with his S/O and his friends/family the whole night. But after a while he just wants to be with his spouse.

• He slumps against his Soulmate’s shoulder on the ride to their honeymoon. He cuddles up closer to them, sleepily whispering sweet nothings and how he can’t wait to spend forever with them.

March, Spring, is finally here.

I have missed actual sunshine, I felt heat from the sky the other day for the first time in months and I think my dopamine returned, I was just like yes, finally, natural light.

This month I have have read 38 books, including some books I actually viscerally hated, but also books I loved, with the highest amount of five stars of the year so far being read this month.

here are some short reviews of those books!

Reading Lessons by Carole Atherton - You can find my review of this book on the blog, so I won't go over it too much, but this book includes short essays and memoirs of different books read in school. Insightful, interesting and nostlagic, this book certainly gave me new perspective on books I loved in school and ones I didn't know so much - I particularly appreciated the essay on 'An Inspector Calls' one of my favourites reads from my time in school.

Quiet by Victoria Adukwei Bulley - A fantastic collection of poems about indentiy and love, Quiet explores different themes and styles to deliver a poetry book that is hard ro forget. I highly recommedn this collection, it really leaves with something to think about.

The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty - A book I've heard alot of hype about recently, I did worry it wouldn't live up to it, but boy does it. The story of Amina as she returns to the sea after a decade to recover the granddaughter of one of her former crew, 'The Adventures..' is beautifully written with characters that make you feel like you know them, you are invested from the very beginning. Intense, and brilliant - I can't wait for the rest of the trilogy.

Blue Exorcist Vol. 7 by Kazue Kato - The story of a young man going to an exorcist school while being the son of Satan himself, Blue Exorcist does get better and better as it goes on. It's hard to talk about what's been going on as it's very spoilery, but this story arc is brilliant and I can't wait to see how this story ties up.

The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 1 by Nekokurage - based on the light novels by Natsu Hyuuga, The Apothecary Diaries tells the story of the arrival and the promotion of Maomao as she works her magic in the court of the emperor making aphrodisiacs and figuring out why the emperor's children are dying. A fantastic first volume, I'm waiting for the second one at my library already.

Hey everyone! I’m back from Japan. What a trip! I will post a bunch of stuff about it in a bit (still unpacking, jet lagged, etc), but as a baseline, here are the shows I attended while I was there, courtesy of Cagematch.
