The Reading Times prints this photograph of Buster Keaton & his other female lead, Kathleen Myers, explaining that she had done more than a little work in film before she was ‘discovered’ by Buster, including a role in Vienna & comedy parts in Universal, Fox & Christie companies.

Ein Werk, dass ich schon immer sehen wollte: John Adams Oper “Nixon in China” von 1987 in der er sich satirisch mit modernen Helden-Mythen auseinander setzt: Richard Nixon und Mao Zedong. Ich kann mich noch sehr gut an die damalige Berichterstattung der Uraufführung erinnern (Houston Grand Opera, Regie: Peter Sellars). Lilyan Tashman first wore these fantastic earrings as Alice-Duchess of Lincolnwood in the 1926 film Love’s Blindness.

The earrings are a bit early to have been made by Joseff of Hollywood, though it is not impossible. The costume designers attached to the film were André-ani, Kathleen Kay, and Maude Marsh, so it is likely one of them was responsible for making or purchasing the pieces. 

The earrings were later worn by Carmel Myers in a promotional photo for MGM sometime in the late 1920s.
