oh damn. that's a hard question. so, all of right where you left me, as you can imagine (and good for you for having good enough taste to realise it's Very Valid lol). it's not only my fave taylor swift song rn, but also my fave song point blank. i can't even tell you why i like it so much, i just do. like, the whole song just tickles something in my brain, i can't explain. some other taylor swift lyrics i like, under the cut bc i have no moderation:

Movie nights

Little late kinda Haloween Malec fic 

-Magnus has a different idea to their usual date nights- 

1500 words 

G rated (fluffy not smutty) 

Alec didn’t even have to place his hand on the door handle before it swung open infront of him, he grinned as Magnus came into view. Sitting on one of his lavish chairs, the faint remnants of magic disappearing from his fingertips.

“Alexander.”

He purred 

“Hey.”

He stepped inside and closed the door behind him

“You know if you keep doing that, one day I’m going to forget how to open doors entirely.”

Magnus stood and sauntered over to him, playfully dipping one shoulder and looking at him through the corners of his eyes asking

“Are you objecting?”

Alec felt himself melt at the smooth texture of Magnus’s voice, inviting him to play along

"Never.”

Magnus closed the distance between them and brought Alecs chin down to meet his lips. They kissed deeply but briefly. Magnus kept his eyes closed for a second afterwards, only opening them when Alec asked

“So. You said you had a surprise for me?”

For a while now they had dedicated one night a week, usually a Friday or Saturday night, to going on a date of some kind. Sometimes it was portalling to Paris or Amsterdam to wine, dine and explore, other times it was as simple as just entangling themselves in Magnus’s bed for the night. Once they even spent it in Alecs office at the institute, Magnus had far to much fun trying to distract him the entire time. Alec pretended he didn’t like it, which made it all the more fun for Magnus to tease him. Like placing putting both feet up on Alecs desk while he read, letting the skirt of his jacket fall to reveal far to lean legs in far to tight black pants. Alec would sigh heavily and look at him from under his brow, Magnus would look up innocently from his book asking

“Something bothering you?”

Long fingers adorned with multiple rings and deep purple nail polish drummed the table, making it a little hard for Alec to string together a sentence

“…no….there’s just a pesky Warlock on my desk.”

“Wonder what he’s doing there…”

“I know exactly what he’s doing, and it’s working.”

Alec smacked Magnus’s shin gently with a rolled up paper, Magnus snatched his legs away 

“Oh come now Alexander, I’m sure the head of the New York institute can ignore one little Warlock.”

Alec rolled his eyes and mumbled under his breath

“You’re not LITTLE in any sense of the word…”

Magnus pretended he didn’t hear, but Alec saw the smirk buried in the old pages of his ancient book while he returned his feet back onto the desk. 

Alec was snapped back to the present with Magnus taking one hand in his own and playing with his fingers while he spoke

"I know you havnt had much time for...well...anything, so I thought maybe... something a little different to our usual dates for Halloween."  

"Oh?"

Alec's dark brows peaked with curiosity, Magnus smiled and waved his hands in that fantastic way Alec loved. Behind them, the living room transformed into a very luxurious looking home theatre. A large, bean bagish couch, surrounded by all kinds of snacks and goodies. A massive tv adorned the wall. Alec laughed and asked

"A movie night?"

"Exactly Alexander."

"Wait, I know what this is…this is beacuse I never understand your obscure references."

"...Maybe..."

Magnus smiled coyly and snapped his fingers. The lights dimmed and the giant screen lit up with a huge title 'Edward scissors hands' Magnus's smug face was illuminated dramatically by the screen, creating deep shadows, his eyes bright and sparkling.

"Impressed?"

 Alec couldn't help but allow a wide grin to slip across his face. He reached foreward and gripped Magnus by the waist, letting his fingers feel every tickle of energy coming from beneath them whenever he touched Magnus.  

"Aslong as it's with you, I'm happy."

Magnus beamed and added enthusiastically

“Oh, I also set up some wards for sound proofing the room. Honestly the quality is greatly improved, just like surround sound, the real deal.”

“See this is why I struggle to much to come up with date night ideas, how can I compete with my boyfriend magic-ing me up a personal home theatre system?”

Alec was half serious but mostly said it for humors sake, he knew he could never compete with Magnus’s wild ideas. But Magnus seemed to think otherwise, he was a man of small gestures. He kept the Omamori charm from Alec with him at all times. Even at night, it sat on his bedside table while he slept. At the time Alec considered it a small gift, but Magnus’s response taught him allot about his Warlock. He didn’t care much for show, he didn’t care if Alec said he loved him infront of anyone or held his hand in public. He wanted intention, genuine, authentic intention. Magnus was far more interested in the power behind a statement than the words actually said, the meaning behind the action rather than the result. On the other hand, Alec had grown to like Magnus’s obvious affection, the way he looked at him when others were watching, the closer he choose to stand with him the better. So people knew they were together, a powerful team. Obviously there was allot more to it than that, Magnus had a self that was present around other people, and a self that only revealed itself when he was alone with Alec. But they fit together perfectly. 

They spent the night watching all sorts of Halloween movies, some horror, some silly or romantic. Many were old and that made them all the more entertaining. Cuddled up on the couch that was probably awful for your posture, they laughed, ate and drank through the stories playing out before them. Some movies like Invasion of the body snatchers was to funny to take seriously, others encouraged them to press closer and laugh when one of them startled.

At some late point in the night, after many movies and far to much to drink Alec looked down at Magnus and asked

"Another one?"

Only to see a sleeping warlock on his chest. Magnus rarely removed all the glamour from his face, but of late he had gotten into the habit of removing it at the end of the day, rather than leaving until he slept. When they first got together, he never took it off, he even slept in it, using his magic to refresh and change it every day. But right now, Magnus had never looked so fantastic to Alec. Dressed in one of Alec's many black long sleeve shirts that was a little too big, the top buttons undone, curled up on his chest with his hair in a messy flop over his forehead. Both legs drapped across his lap, one arm wrapped around his waist. Alec sighed and whispered through a kiss placed on the top of Magnus's head 

"Alright."

A soft noise came from Magnus and he mumbled

"...we can watch another if you want."

"No, you’re tired."

Magnus yawed and shuffled against him, breathing out one defiant word

"...no..."

They both burst into fatigued chuckles, Magnus lazily flicked a wrist that switched off the TV. Neither of them bothered to try and get to the actual bed, they'd settled so far into the huge bean bag Alec wasn't even sure he'd be able to get out without Magnus levitating him out. He pulled the burgundy mink blanket that was spread over their legs up over Magnus's shoulders.

Resting his chin on his boyfriends head, Alec gazed out of the balcony windows for a short while, gently stroking the lines of Magnu’s shoulder blades. Slowly, the warlocks breathing settled and his heart hummed the familiar beat that Alec had grown to know as sleep. Slowly, his own eyes closed and he fell into sleep, more content than he’d ever been

Izzy was hesitant about going to Magnus's apartment, but neither him or Alec were answering their phones and he'd already missed one training session that morning. There was a meeting in an hour and Izzy had to go and get him. She knew it was their date night last night, so she had a pretty good idea WHY he wasn't there. A sister just knows these things. she knocked loudly on Magnus’s door. No reply. Again, calling out

“Magnus! Alec?”

Preparing herself to be scorned for walking in on them, Izzy swung the door open. She was greeted with a sight that almost brought tears to her eyes. Curled up together in a huge bean bag, surrounded by chip bags and cocktail glasses, Magnus and Alec were fast asleep. She could see their phones stacked together on the kitchen bench. A very faint haze buzzed around the room, some kind of magic, she thought. Briefly, she considered waking them. But Alec would be mortified. Instead, she tip toed into the kitchen and retrieved Alec's phone and placed it on the floor by the coffee table next to them, making it appear as if it had just fallen off in the night. Sneaking back out, she called him again from the street outside. He picked up, she had to hide the giggle in her voice at his ramblings

"Izzy! I'm so sorry...omg..Magnus it's 11am...I don't know why I didn't hear it? Your what..?"

Not able to resist poking fun at him she teased

“Oh it’s fine Alec, you must have been REALLY tired…”

“IZzy!!”  

She chuckled

"I'll see you at the institute."

And hung up on him, trying and failing to stifle a laugh on the street corner that made people stare. Strutting down the street, she felt warm and content the idea of her brother finally being happy.

Words and Chapters: There are exactly 78639  words, and 17 chapters and I still feel like there should be sixteen more volumes sooooo

Rating: PG-13 at most, it’s tooth-rottingly adorable, with just the right amount of drama, and Magnus’ badassery to be realistic

Warnings: Kate is mentioned, but not explicitly though Pedophile was used in the story, and Derek said, “Not until you’re 18 Stiles” like he would in real life (I am @ ing every single underage Sterek author out there, Derek has a lot of issues, unless you erase them, deal with them.) 

The Hale fire is mentioned, 

Maryse is... a fucking racist bitch, but she’s not homophobic in any way that I noticed, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t. 

That’s all I can think of, but please feel free to message me about more in my reviews guys.

Pros: Everything. Not even kidding, from the way the author(Authors?) created these characters that had a life all of their own, to the way they took the already canon characters, and events and molded them to suit their needs so magnificently. It was so beautiful, I felt as though I was truly watching this other world, I forgot about this one so easily (I’m so glad I chose to read this in the morning because I wouldn't have slept if I didn’t), this is a “Read it all in one go” fic, and gods am I sad it ended. The writing style wasn’t especially poetic, and don’t get wrong I do love fics that are, but FUCK, this was just so goddamned good, so straight to the point, GAH, I loved it.

No but really I have literally I have zero legitimate complaints, they had managed to get Derek as more dimensional then the manpain monstrosity from the show, give Stiles an actual personality past “My guilt is the reason I’m alive honestly, ahaha, also I haven’t slept in a week lol” like the show LIVED for

(Sidenote, what the fuck is with that show and guilt Jesus fucking hell in a handbasket made by Christ himself, that was just way too much.), 

Cora was more than just “Grr, I don’t like Stiles or anyone really but especially Stiles, grrr”, Gods this whole thing was great from Deaton being pointed out as the not actually Wise Old Man he’s “Supposed” to be being bullshit 

(You trying to tell me he really didn’t know Scott was a fucking werewolf. Are you really? HAH, Not on your life) 

to John honestly not at all hating Derek, to Scott being a total dickbag for not trusting Stiles at all ever unless he literally had to... I might exaggerate a tad... Just a bit, but regardless, I just loved everything about this so much. Except that JOHN’s name was Tom, but I’m a die-hard “John” fan so

Why I love this story:

If i have a bad day, i download this, log off and escape into this wonderful world. This is my comfort fic. I adored the way Magnus and Alec had this instant connection. Never too shy to tell the other how beautiful they are, and described so beautifully. Nala, Alec’s dog was such a vital part of this story, i really loved the way the animals were involved, especially the way Nala and Chairman Meow turned into these wonderful characters of theor own. Nala's bond with Alec was beautiful, how she reacted to his feelings, and was a support for him. This story has little bit of everything, fluff, pining, loving, makes your heart burst with love. We had Magnus' family welcoming Alec, then Alec's also welcoming Magnus! Domestic moments, mornings together at the loft, cuddling, making risotto - What’s not to love.

Favourite lines:

[“You buy pumpkins, all kinds, from me, though you’re allergic, you run after me in slippers, you are... really special.” He grins so wonderfully, Magnus can’t but smile, his cheeks suddenly heating up.]

[Magnus adores the way Alec kisses him after a long day. As if he had missed him every minute he was gone, as if he can only wholly breathe, and be at ease, once he’s with him again, as if Magnus is the reason for his happiness, his sanctuary].

Why I love this story:

This fic was my introduction to hockey, i knew absolutely nothing about the sport before this and you really don’t need to, because it’s  so well explained in the story. I love the torture of the slow burn before Malec’s first kiss, it was so intense as there was so much anticipation and neither wanted to cross a line but also really knowing that it would eventually happen. Some of the lines in here are absolutely beautiful, and also painfully beautiful like their break-up because the break-up was because the loved the other so much they were trying to protect them which made it even harder and makes it so easy to get lost in this work. There are so many character developments here too but they happen over a period of time and not rushed which i liked and made it feel real and natural. And our protangonists work things out but there are many twist and turns along the way, and a beautiful friendship between Magnus and Max.

Why I love this story:

I had originally seen Art for this story on twitter and i was so intrigued that i had to read the story. The content in this story is heavy and at times quite dark and normally content i hide away from but this one i just couldnt stay away, it’s just so well written with complex yet well-rounded characters &  i when i started reading it, i couldn’t put it down, there are two parts to this and i read it all as one and have a sob-fest. But amongst all the darkness there is enough happy/fluffy moments to keep a balance to the story and the deep love that Magnus and Alec have in this universe is one of the strongest i have seen in any other story, part of what drew me to it and why i love it so much. Another thing i liked  is the friendship between Jace and Magnus and that is something i always love in a story, like when Jace was there to look after Magnus, making sure he got back back safe and took care of Magnus so he was there and well when Alec woke up in a certain scene. We get loads of fluffy moments and cute when it was just them, the normally fearsome Alec a blushing mess when Magnus calls him everything from, pup, puppy, munchkin etc. Lastly i loved the way they cared/looked after each other when they were hurt/sick and magnus looking after Alec when he went off the rails and helping him through his addiction was amazingly sweet, even when they had broken up at the time summed them up to me.

[Magnus smiled and looked down to where Alec was ripping the label into small pieces “Sexually frustrated?”  Alec snapped out of his thoughts and stiffened in his seat, Magnus laughed softly “It’s what they say you are if you play with the labels on your bottles”. “I don’t.. I didn’t know” Alec said and pushed the bottle away. “You didn’t know that what it meant or you don’t know if you are sexually frustrated?”]

 [“I love your eyes” He let out before he had a chance to think about what he was actually saying. “Thank you”. Alec could see in his eyes that he was smiling, not needing to take his focus away from them. “Do you wear contact lenses or something?” he asked and tipped his head slightly to the side, shivering a little as Magnus hand moved around to the back of his neck and his fingers played with the shorter hairs, like he was trying to twirl it around his fingertips. “No” Magnus was still smiling “I am just a little special”]

[‘Magnus’s eyes were filled with love as he cupped his face, leaned down over him and kissing away his tears. Closing his eyes, Alec felt Magnus’ lips against his eyelids so softly it was barely a kiss. Alec moved his hands to rest against Magnus’ knees, feel his own heartbeat echo off Magnus’ palms as Magnus pressed his hands against his chest.”]

[Alec reached for his hand and brought it up to his face and gently places a kiss against the back of it. “I love you just the same. There may be a little bit less of you but that just means the left-over love I have is spread out equally amongst the rest of you” he said, sounding adorably cheesy.

“I can’t with you” Magnus laughed, feeling better about himself than he had in a long time, maybe even before everything with Jonathan happened. “I love you so much, puppy”. Seeing Alec’s eyes light up at the nickname, Magnus regretted not using it more frequently].

Why I love this story:

Tried hard to choose my fave stories for this TOP 5 Favourite's and these two writer have some amazing ones and were so difficult to choose from. I planned to have 'Bright Light's Small Town' and 'Take Me To Church' but this collab had such a huge effect that i couldn’t possibly leave it out. Honestly, one of the most beautiful, deep, meaningful stories I ever read about Alec and Magnus because the raw content and these two writers are hard-hitters when it comes to writing angst. Watching these characters pour their hearts out, falling apart, nearly breaking up and divorcing and then realizing their love was stronger than any of it and starting from scratch, building themselves up again, such an amazing thing to see and also is so very real-life. So many things (and people) had got in their way but they finally managed to communicate and begin again. Watching them fall in love all over again was such a pleasure and so beautifully written. 

Favourite lines:

[He wonders how he could have ever forgotten how it felt to fall in love with the wonder and light that is Magnus Bane. He can’t believe he ever let Magnus spend so many days in sadness. That he was the cause of that sadness. There’s so much he needs to make right]

[“There is the rawness of an open wound in their cries, their embrace certainly the only thing keeping them from completely falling apart. The distance between has been washed away,”]

[There is nothing left but the blunt honesty on his features, the same that always leads one of Alec’s earth-shattering declarations. It is, quite possibly, Magnus’ favorite feeling. “Every time I think I can’t possibly love you more you just–” he shakes his head with a sense of fatality that he seems to welcome gratefully, “– God, I love you so much.”]

He has to believe now, no matter how foolish, that there is a star out there, far away from his reach perhaps but forever embedded in his heart, that is looking over him, over them. He hopes she can feel it, the love he had for her, and he hopes she will forgive him, for failing to protect her.]

Why I love this story:

Such a wonderful story. It’s different from the others i have listed as in this story, we start off with Alec having a boyfriend before anything happened between him and Magnus but its made very clear that this relationship is at times very one-sided and that this Raj is not the right person for Alec and he didn’t seem to have any interest in Alec’s life outside their relationship and hadn’t even met his family.  The relationship with Alec and Magnus was so natural, realistic and mature, it was obvious from the start they had chemistry but with Alec in a relationship, nothing was ever going to happen between them and they had this lovely charming friendship. And which moved forward after the break-up primarily thorough Alec looking after Magnus and making sure he was eating when he was working too hard, how sweet is that? The communication between the two is something i really love about this too and you always get the impression they’re both on the same page. There’s wonderful fun and humour between the two and even on the business side, in their jobs , they are each other’s biggest supporter, lastly the story has another thing i love in fic, a friendship between Magnus and Jace.

[‘You don't have to sit here and wait for him," he remembers Magnus saying, that first night theytalked. "And if that's what he expects, he's probably not worth it, they never are."]

[“In more ways than one. He turns his head, and he and Alec just gaze at each other for a few moments, the two of them suspended in time].

[I like you," Jace proclaims loudly, throwing his arm over Magnus's shoulders as they end up sitting next to each other in the far back, once the car starts moving. Magnus is squeezed in between him and Alec, and Alec is just gazing happily at his brother and his boyfriend, a drunk smile on his face. "I mean, you're a bit―" Jace gestures exaggeratedly with his hand. "But it's all good. You're alright”]

“That’s true,” Peter says, feeling a bit of a sting in his own eyes at this. “But I think we can take a little bit of comfort in the fact that she won’t hurt anybody else ever again.”

Tagged by @airydoorway (yesterday but I just got around to actually doing it the morning XD) In no particular order:

1.) Stiles/Derek (Sterek)-Teen Wolf- For me this will forever be by one TRUE pairing. I’m not even involved in the Teen Wolf fandom anymore. I stopped watching after season 3 (I think??? idk the half seasons confused me I might have watched some of 4 but I don’t remember). But this pairing never fails to tug at all the right heartstrings. Even separately, these two characters were forever my favorites. They deserved better than the hot mess that Teen Wolf turned into and I will probably be reading fic for them until the day I die.

2.) Jack/Kate (Jate)- Lost - This makes the list because it was probably the first pairing that I’d ever hardcore shipped. It was my induction by fire if you will into the shipping world (the battle between the Jate and Skate shippers was ROUGH) it was the first couple I really became invested in, so even though Lost is long since over it still deserves a mention.

3.) Merlin/Arthur (Merthur) - Merlin - This is a ship I got INTENSELY involved in VERY quickly. After Merlin ended it died down almost as fast, but it still flares back to life every once and again and I love reimmersing myself in some of the best fic out there, IMO. It’s also one of the rare instances in which I don’t mind Modern AUs since it fits with the whole “once and future king” mythology.

4.) Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch (Pynch) - Raven Cycle - MY TRASH CHILDREN. ADAM WHO JUST WANTS TO BE LOVED AND RONAN WHO SECRECTLY LOVES A WHOLE LOT AND JUST UGH. I’m not as involved in the fandom for these two, maybe because their CANON (omg yes something that’s actually canon) relationship already gives me enough feels as is.

5.) Barry Allen/Leonard Snart (ColdFlash) - The Flash - My current obsession. They don’t interact that much but whooooooooooo boy when they do. Somebody get me a fan so I can swoon like a Victorian Lady. The Probably the Fandom I am most active in right now. DAT CHEMISTRY. I don’t know what it is, but I find they two of them far easier to write about than any other OTPs.

Still Stuck In The WIP Folder A treat for Yuletide that I’m only half way in, will probably try and finish it either for NYR, or stalk my recip and see if they request it in another fic exchange to treat them there.

The RomCom I started for Unconvential Courtship, in which Alec and Magnus only get together years later at the Clace Wedding, and need to Fake Date For Political Reasons. Currently at 13k, 5 chapters in, at least 10 to go.

The Cupid AU in which Alec is a cupid who shoots Magnus for someone else in 1700, cue 400 years of pining. 2k in, got boggled down by historical research and magic wordlbuilding.

The Chess Date, sequel to the First Date Fic, 1k so far, but got stuck.

About 5k worth of various outlines and plotideas, including the Phoenix!Alec fic, a bunch of fic ideas for the World Inverted AU, the Izzy and Alec are parabatai fic, more Kate Daniels fusion, and the DragonHeart AU which I plan to co-write with siri.

Overall Thoughts: Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

This year I published more words than in all my other years of fandom combined! Other milestones include: posted over 100k words total to my AO3, posted my first smut (which also was my first PWP), and participated in over 10 challenges. I also think I wrote more this year than I ever did before, but I’m not entirely sure because I didn’t count words for unfinished things in 2015.

Wrote exactly 0 words original work this year, which I didn’t see coming either. Guess the new fandom took it all out of me.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

Shadowhunters, the new shiny fandom of my heart. I didn’t expect I’d ever feel about a show like I did about Spartacus, and it’s not completely the same, but fuck I am INVESTED, and I am still super inspired. It’s just a canon with many many hooks for me to grab on to, and I guess I have. Only two more stories to go, and it’s officially the fandom I’ve written most for, never did see that coming.

Did you take any writing risks this year? 

I wouldn’t call it risk taking per se, but I did leave my comfort zone and had a bunch of fanfic first times. I wrote Star Wars (which is super intimidating fandom wise for some reason), I actually wrote for a lot of fandoms I hadn’t written for before. I wrote smut and PWP, and I even wrote a fill for a kinkmeme.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year? 

Goal for next year is definitely to let my kink flag fly more, and write the things I’d like to see more of. Try my hand at some f/f smut. 

I’d really like to keep writing steadily, so I’ve signed up for Get Your Words Out, to keep my output steadily.

I also really want to finish my WIPS, especially the RomCom, because First Chaptered Story if I do. 

And I’d like to get back into my Original Work. I actually have a lot of half finished stories and plot outlines lying around, I really want to finish something next year.

On the wishlist is also to participate in NaNoWriMo again next year, but the job might get in the way of that alas.

My favorite story of the year:

Fuck this is hard, because I’m one of those people that writes mostly to still my own hunger, so I tend to really like my own stories (I laugh a lot at my own jokes as well). I guess it would be all that is loved does now glitter, because it gets me right in the id of feelings. It’s the story of myself I’ve reread most. Also, slap fights.

My best story of this year:

I think reeds growing out of my fingertips. I thought if the basic plotline while driving through four european countries at night, and the last image, of the posessed girl diving off the damm was the first thing I came up with. Jukebox is very close to origfic, and I think I really got the creepiness and plot right with this one.

My most popular story of this year: 

By hits, kudos, comments and bookmarks all that is loved does now glitter wins by a landslide. I guess because it’s porn with feelings and features Magnus being his magical self.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: 

Sing, Antoninus for the Kubrick Spartacus. I adapted Latin Poetry for this story, yo. I love all things Spartacus, but the Kubrick movie is very precious to me, and I wish more people still felt that way. Alas, there’s not much of a fandom for this movie, so no one thinks of looking up fic for it.

Most fun story to write: 

Sometimes I really like cracky fic, and I tend to be the only one who finds myself funny, so probably either the Dairy Farmer Thing, or A Positive Result. The funnest experience was totally working together with Siri and Ray for Podtogether though, nothing beats that.

Story with the single sexiest moment: 

Alec coming because Magnus’ toe ring scrapes his calf in a little too much could never be enough. Runner up would probably be Alec kissing Magnus’ toe ring in the same story. Magnus and his jewellery is pretty much the sexiest thing in fandom, imo.

Story with single sweetest moment:

If we’re going for sweetest then I’d pick Izzy distracting Alec with fashion choices in Nothing In This World, because all the Sibling Feelings always. If we’re going for sappiest then I’d pick the Beauty & the Beast Library scene from Take My Hand And Close Your Eyes because Magnus being magical with his magical mood lightning and Alec being in awe.

Hardest story to write:

Definitely A Force To Be Reckoned with, because Star Wars is intimidating as fuck to write for if you never have written in that canon before. Plus there was the whole first time smut writing aspect, and the sex with the Force thing, so I struggled a lot. Still super pleased with the end result though.

Easiest story to write: Glitter By The Waterfront practically wrote itself. I just really love writing in the Kate Daniels setting (I wish it took off like Hogwarts AUs, honestly, it's just so fun, and the magic is so awesome), and Alec and Magnus fit so well there. I pretty much wrote it in a day which almost never happens. Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:  Before writing Running Out Of Days, I never really took Ripley's grief for her daughter into account. Or well, I knew she was mourning, but it wasn't part of the emotional impact for me. Writing Amanda as both Ripley's daughter and the Drift Partner she lost really hammered that home for me though, and I now watch Aliens differently.

Favorite Title: all that is loved does now glitter, with miles ahead. I'm just proud of thinking of it, it fits Magnus and the story so well, and it's the only title I ever got a compliment about (and by someone not even into the fandom! although I lured them in by now). I'm just ridiculously fond of it. Favourite Opening Line:  The song of her sisters is sweet and mellow, a brook flowing over pebbles, made round and soft by water and time. (x) Favourite Closing Line: “I don’t need to find them,” he said and kissed Magnus again. “I’m already the happiest I can be. I picked you.” (x)

Favorite Line from Anywhere: Here in this bathroom, while he looks like a disco ball threw up on him, with Magnus standing next to him, looking soft and thoroughly bedded and touching him so tenderly, he truly, finally feels like he belongs. (x)
