I think many of us know that some fans wanted Kaitlyn Dever as Ellie, but why? I feel like she doesn’t resemble Ellie at all, and I’m talking about the fact that when fans have their perfect cast, they uusually -not always- want the actor to resemble the character in question, but I still don’t understand.

So, I’m asking if you had an actress in mind as Ellie, and I’d also like to know who you would have liked to consider as Joel.

In my personal opinion, Hugh Jackman in ‘Prisoners’ felt like a Joel codified, and I’m still not over it.

This is such a great question! And to be honest, I never really thought about Joel because who they gave us—Pedro Pascal—was the best fucking choice there could be. I'm not exaggerating; I love him for this role, he was born to play Miller. I can't imagine anyone else playing him.

Although now when you're mentioning Hugh Jackman in 'Prisoners', I mean damn, I never tried to imagine it, but now I can see it. I think he would be a perfect choice if it weren't for Pedrito.

When it comes to Ellie, I've always had Kathryn Prescott in mind. She's not at all famous, though. I can imagine none of you know who I am talking about. Well, does 'Skins' (the British TV show) say anything to you? Kat Prescott portrayed one of the Fitch twins in this series. Later, she was cast in 'Finding Carter' which was a small TV show airing on MTV back in 2014 (I kind of have a personal bond to this time), and that was when I started admiring this girl's personality. 

I think Kathryn Prescott would be perfect for Ellie because, although she's in her 30s today, she's the type of girl who still looks half her age younger when put in the role requiring it. Not only that; the actress herself is such a sweet human being. I've always liked her personality, and I dare to say she's always been Ashley Johnson's kind of sweet. That's why I think she would be the perfect Ellie (not even speaking of her appearance), but when I think about it, her appearance is closer to Ellie than Bella Ramsey's, for example, so this wouldn't probably be a problem.

They would never cast Kat Prescott because she's not that well known, and I'm not even sure if she's this level of actress. She's been on smaller projects, so I have no idea if she could pull out something as big as TLOU. She was also on 'A Dog's Journey' not a long time ago, but yet, people still don't know her by name, and I think it's such a shame.

It's hard to search for photos that would depict it, but I think that without make up and dressed as a tomboy with a messy ponytail, she'd be a good Ellie. She's also short, which would be a plus for her role.

So What Happened? 

Before prom night, Dexter (unfortunately) bumped into Juliette Palmer dancing down the street one night. She told him that they were going to go do something awesome. It was going to be life changing. They should have known that something was wrong- maybe they did- but they followed her nonetheless. Dexter never thought they’d be face to face with all powerful First Warlock, Engel, but there he was. The magic boost that Engel gave Dexter was like nothing they’d ever felt before... They felt like they were gonna die. They’d never felt more alive.

Calling Ian Morrison in a panic, shaking from the power coursing through their veins, everything they touched dissolving or turning into frickin’ skittles, Dexter needed saving. Juliette was too busy twirling around the trees and laughing. After that night, Dexter stopped using their magic.

Then, Dexter Harrison was having the biggest, most romantic, night of their life with official girlfriend Hailie Tyler on prom night (and Jason Bennett...). They were living life mostly in their own bubble- if you don’t count Hailie’s brief ghosting at the after party (with Kat Jones). Point was, it was a great night! And Dexter was dressed by the amazing Ian, so was a real diamond!

The next day, everyone finds out about Effy and Leo. Ian tells Dexter the truth about what happened - Juliette Palmer had killed them both and was now a warlock. It hit Dexter like a freight train. They should have known something like this was going to happen. They should have tried to help Juliette, keep her away from magic. They shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Graduation, Founder’s Festival... The world ends, you know? Dexter does all they can to keep their loved ones safe. They also dedicated at least a year of their life to the affectionately/tragically dubbed ‘Save Juliette’ bandwagon. Spoiler alert: Juliette did want to be saved. Dexter did their best though, even getting into scrapes with Chris Andrews who was always buzzing around.

Dexter becomes a Teaching Assistant at Havensdale High, keeping the students safe with magic in these trying times under the #Dome. They try not to judge, but after everything they’ve been through, they still can’t stand warlocks. They don’t understand Ian’s infatuation with Olivia Winters or Mark Morrison’s ‘relationship’ with Evelyn Prescott. #sideye

There was a ring in Dexter’s drawer in the apartment he now shared with Hailie when June 2016 came around. A ring for her. It was the second year anniversary from D-Day when Ian tried one last time to reach his sister Meghan Morrison. None of them could have anticipated that she would retaliate by snapping his neck.

It all happened so fast... No one was moving. Why was no one doing anything!? Dexter had to step in. They had to. It was the first big spell, the first big surge of power that they’d used since Juliette took them to Engel’s. They knew what they wanted-- they knew what would happen if they got it. Dexter Harrison brought Ian Morrison back to life and for that, they became a Warlock.

In iconic fashion, the moment their humanity flipped off, Dexter tossed their suede jacket over their shoulder-- enchanting it into a much cooler leather jacket. They smooched Meghan and peaced out of there forever!

Not caring at all was a new thing. Dexter is chilling all day, every day and spends every day truly not giving a F-U-C-K! Was that great for their relationship with Hailie? Nah but whatever, man. Technically, they were on-again, off-again from June 2016--February 2017 when her dad ended up in a magically induced coma. Too bad, so sad. She asked for Dexter’s help-- they said ‘nah’. End of story.

I always found it funny how in MTV's Finding Carter (show about a kidnapped girl being found many years later and being brought back to her family including her twin sister), they cast an actress who has a twin IRL (who is also an actress), Kathryn Prescott (Emily from Skins) and Megan Prescott (Katie Fucking Fitch)

but they chose not to cast her and cast another actress (Anna Jacoby-Heron) who looks nothing like her instead?

like they had a twin available right there (and an actress to boot) but they were like, no thanks, let's try something else

Stonewall Prep is excited to bring you this year's summer trip: Venice Italy! There will be plenty of excursions and things to do, as well as down time to explore everything Venice has to offer. We will be leaving August 1, and returning to the school on August 11.

This trip is not optional. All students and staff will attend, as well as townspeople coming along to assist with supervision.

RULES.

Everyone must be in their assigned rooms between the hours of 11pm and 6am.

No student is allowed to leave the hotel alone - they must have another student or staff person with them at all times.

Excursions and scheduled events are not optional.

Remember you will be in the 'real world' so be mindful of appropriate attitudes and respect with higher marks

ROOM ASSIGNMENTS.

Everyone will be staying at an all inclusive hotel in the City Center with the following amenities: bars, restaurants, pools, hot tubs, sauna, spa (with massage, skin care, nail care), and game room with video game set up, pool tables, dart boards, etc. Rooms are suites with two bedrooms each containing a king bed, kitchenette, pullout couch and private bathroom.
