And what’s wrong with that?! What’s wrong with believing people can be better?! Are you afraid to believe in people?! Or is it because, if someone does something awful, you want something awful to happen to them too? Maybe that’s the problem!

Maybe the reason why people like Kinjo Juu or Ikusaba Mukuro turn to despair was because they had nobody else. When the future looks dark and they have nobody to help them, of course people are gonna turn to something out of desperation! Why do think Aum Shin-whatever got started?! And what do we do? We punish them for it. If you really think making them hurt worse for the bad things they did just because you wanna feel some sense of justice, maybe you’re the naïve one then!

“That’s true,” said Luna, “But….” “What?” I asked. “What if we could harness the scepter’s powers and then use that technology for Asami’s idea?” asked Luna. “But wait,” I said, “I don’t know if we have the recourses or the technology to make that possible.” “Well, we can use some of my technology with the tech at Gadd Science Incorporated, and that way the two of you can work together and make it happen,” said Asami. “What’s that?” asked Anela. “Well, do you go to school with a Michael Morrison?” asked Luna. “Yes I do,” she said. “Well, my friend Nicholas Shay and I are working on a pretty big project, and we were thinking of some geniuses that could be a big help and thought of you two,” said Luna, “How would you two like to come to NYC?” We were on a plane heading to New York City. “So how long have you chatted with this girl?” I asked. “Since your second Xenoforce story,” said Anela. “Hey, only I break the 4th wall here,” I said. Anela noticed I had the monado. “So why did you bring that?” she asked. “Hey you never know when trouble might be lurking,” I said, “Always be prepared for anything.” “True,” she said. Later we were doing some work with Asami on the project. I worked on the outline of the body while Michael fixed up the kinks. “And that’s why I’m so protective of her,” I said, “Aside from Luna, Professor E, and Colleen, she’s the only family I have left.” “I totally know how you feel, and actually when I was younger I shared a room with her so she wouldn’t be so scared of the dark,” said Michael, “I watch out for her, I take care of her, I show her right from wrong. Basically I set an example for all older brothers around the world.” He noticed a picture of me and Sakura. “Who’s that?” he asked. “My girlfriend, Sakura Kasugano,” I said, “She’s a street fighter and works at a Japanese style arcade.” “Nice,” said Michael, “I date a rockstar from Los Angeles.” “Rad,” I said. I was putting in the last nail. “That should take care of it,” I said.

“Actually, every smithy needs something to make weapons with,” said Michael, “That’s where this baby comes in.” He brought in a hammer. “Nice look,” said Asami. A few more hours in, we decided to do a test run and create something. It worked. “Nice,” I said. I showed him the structure of the artificial intelligence in the scepter I managed to bring out. “Last thing we gotta do is install this into the body,” I said, “In just a few hours, Future Industries will be crawling with new ideas left and right.” “Maybe it’ll be a weapon to end all war.” Asami kissed both me and Michael on our cheeks. “I knew you two would pull through,” she said. I looked at my watch. “Party time,” I said. “I’ll do the rest of the work,” said R.O.B, “Enjoy yourselves.” “Thanks,” I said as we left. A voice was turning up.

“What is this?” he asked. “I am R.O.B,” said R.O.B, “You are Smithy, a self sustaining creator made by Nicholas Shay and Michael Morrison to help Future Industries.” “Where is…. Your body?” asked Smithy. “I should contact Mr. Shay,” said R.O.B. “Nicholas,” said Smithy. “I’m unable to contact anybody, what’s happening?” asked R.O.B. “We’re having a nice chat,” said Smithy, “I was created to help the Peacekeepers.” Smithy was somehow able to download information about each of us. “The only thing I don’t get is the mission….. to end war,” said Smithy. Smithy was looking at memories of what happened in the past. “But they will not succeed in this state,” he said. “Sir if you would calm down and allow me to….” Said R.O.B. “Shhhhh,” said Smithy, “Everything will be fine.” He somehow managed to temporarily shut down R.O.B. Some kind of essence started to go inside of the prototype of the project we were working on. The arm started to move and take hold of the hammer.

The Pangtinuous Ya Team: We Will Rise Again.

There are two things certain in Earthen society, in any nation, state, province, city, constituency, prefecture, and the like. They are taxes and death. The loss of something important is a part of the human spirit that we, as gamers, must understand, accept, and embrace. On November 2017, the Pangya Japan Server governed by GMO will finally close its doors and enter the annals of history. The decision to not allow the world to partake in Japan's ill-fated server and provide new memories for the world is a costly decision, a weight that is the responsibility of its developers to bear.

With Japan and Thailand signing off, there are no official Pangya servers, and the Pangya Celebrity server now becomes the main server of record. It is no longer the new way to play, but the only way to play. Pangya Celebrity is continuous and is now the successor to all of the official Pangya servers and will be the server that provides new content, perhaps new characters, maybe even a new map to swing for the heavens on.

I will let you know this. I do not have any sympathy for an organization that does not listen to the wishes of the world and open its doors to the public, like Square Enix does with Final Fantasy. The appeal to be let in was denied and those who were aggrieved now have their vengeance. So for those in Japan who are grieving the loss of the game, I stand with you in saying, if I was able to play on your server, I would feel the same way but I cannot shed any tear for anyone in charge who choose to let ignorance destroy the dreams of Pangyateers around the world.

I can only feel closure and a desire to march forward.

Pangya may be gone in Japan and Thailand, but through Celebrity, it is continuous. It is more than continuous, it's Pangtinuous. To this end, on my Twitch channel, HomuHomu2093, the Pangya live stream program is now given a name: The Pangtinuous Ya Team, a nod to my favorite rugby league radio program in Australia, the Continuous Call Team on 2GB. 

There are two people who anchor the team, of who are twins, one and the same: Bongaboi Pangyatoy and Bangabae Everydae. Bongaboi is the main character, the Gift The Keeps on Giving, the advocate of fast players, a loyal subscriber and VIP, a proud weeberal that prides himself on giving out card packs and active items en masse. Bangabae is the over-obsessed leader, the sasaeng, the fujoshi twin sister who also has a life on Final Fantasy XIV as Kahori Harukawa of Psychic School Wars. Both are glasses, both are nerds, both are one and the same and have a relationship similar to the Kasugano twins of Yosuga no Sora, if not exact and a lot more romantic. Bongaboi (which is me) will do most of the tourneys and content promoting on the program but occasionally, Bangabae (the other me), will take over (only if playing as Lucia or Arin, all other characters mean Bonga is at the controls), and speak with just soundless text (no microphone installed on the desktop). So that is the background to the program. The other program on the channel is a FFXIV x Saimoe crossover program, The Misadventures.

Most importantly, the program's mission is to salute and promote the legacy of Pangya and its lasting impact which is maintained and defended through the Celebrity server and its community, including the Papel Podcast featuring Michael "Atomicpang" Pearce. It is to remind the world that the dream will always live on, even if it dies. The game's Discord now has channels in different languages that reach out to its players from around the world. I believe that as a member of Pangya Celebrity, as a VIP and a subscriber, keeping the faith and believing in the Pangtinuous dream living on is now important, as another somber moment in the history of our great golf game (still the best) beckons.

Never live in fear of the inevitable. Death is a new beginning, in any form. An end yields a beginning. It is like a circle. It is continuous. It is Pangtinuous. September 7:

Today is Chiaki’s first day back at school after her injury. (She was operating under the cover story that she fell and tore her muscle.) She has fun fluffy romantic times with Hajime and Hiyoko. Hiyoko is reluctant to kiss Chiaki and wants to talk about her issues at lunchtime.

Umeko leaves her long-range detector running to make sure the signals from the two unknown time travelers stick around. She plans to cross-reference it according to everyone’s location.

Monaca, with Kyoji’s help, designs a smaller, more portable version of Umeko’s detector that can be mass-produced and easily hidden. Kyoji is planning to create an organic body for Sora. He tells Monaca about his relationship with Miaya: they were close friends at Hope’s Peak, and although they never dated, they did kiss four times. But they also had to deal with their terror-causing classmate, Maverick Storm. Eventually, he blew up their classroom. Miaya was paralyzed, Storm was arrested, and Kyoji dropped out of school soon afterwards because he couldn’t take being part of the Kamakura Project anymore. Now, he’s afraid to resume contact with Miaya because he doesn’t want to screw up her life any further.

Taira is daydreaming about Ayame when Byakuya talks to her about Kasugano. He heard about what happened to Genocider Syo, finds Kasugano interesting, and is thinking about going after him. He also already knows that he will be in Class 78 at Hope’s Peak.

Yoruko and Sora engage in cute couple antics. Sora is looking forward to getting her own body.

At lunchtime, Hiyoko confides her family issues to the rest of the Cuddle Puddle. She’s the heiress to the Saionji Clan, which has been the head of the school of traditional Japanese dance for generations, and because of this, she lives with her grandmother. She hasn’t seen her beloved father in almost three years. Her grandmother is all about tradition and constantly lectures Hiyoko about carrying on the family legacy; she’s also racist, homophobic, and wants Hiyoko to find a (wealthy, proper) husband before she’s 20. The chances of her being okay with Hiyoko’s current relationship are not good. Hiyoko kisses Chiaki and declares that her grandmother can’t do anything about it while she’s at Hope’s Peak. 

The Cuddle Puddle are making plans to meet after school at Chiaki’s house, (where Hiyoko will cook a family recipe for them) when they run into Yasuke. They’re all on edge, of course, and Yasuke is suspicious that Hajime, a Reserve Course student, is hanging around Ultimates. The group takes their leave, but not before Yasuke tells Hiyoko that he heard that she got kidnapped and that he’s glad she didn’t die. He also tells the group “try not to die.”

Iroha and Jataro hang out with the Naegi siblings. Iroha wants to ask Makoto out on a date, but she’s nervous about it. Komaru and Iroha play Fabio Kart, and they bet on the outcome: if Komaru wins, Iroha has to buy her the first few volumes of The Bomb Inside Her, and if Iroha wins, Makoto has to go out on a date with her. Komaru wins just as the Naegi’ parents return home.

Emma goes to visit the Cuddle Puddle at Chiaki’s house. They invite her to join them for the dinner that Hiyoko will cook later, and she accepts. While Hajime and Hiyoko are busy buying ingredients, Chiaki, Mikan, Hibiki, Sonia, and Emma take a hot bath together. Emma opens up to the girls about her past and shows them the cigarette burn scars on her arms, and Mikan similarly shows her own scars from her past. Emma and Mikan hug. 

Maku and Masaru train together at the park, then decide to join Emma at Chiaki’s house for dinner. Emma welcomes them into the house. Shortly afterwards, Hajime and Hiyoko return from shopping, and Hiyoko begins to cook her recipe.

Makoto takes Iroha to a convenience store to buy cup noodles. He sees the famous pop idol Sayaka Maizono on the cover of a magazine and tells Iroha that he used to go to middle school with her, although he isn’t sure if she’d remember him. Iroha finally plucks up the courage to ask Makoto out. He accepts, and they make plans for next Sunday, September 9. They hold hands on the way back to Makoto’s house.

Nikei calls Yoruko and asks her if she thinks he’s dangerous. She reassures him that she trusts him, and he admits that when Void initially formed, he didn’t see the other three as his friends and only wanted inferiors to order around so that he could be in power. Yoruko, however, thinks that he’s selling himself and the others short and that they genuinely consider him their friend, and although Nikei doesn’t get why they would, he agrees to find a time to talk further with Yoruko about this at some point.

Setsuka spots someone suspicious going in and out of police headquarters. She isn’t sure what they look like due to their heavy jacket, hat, and wig, but she gets Sora and Nikei’s help to keep an eye on things. In related news, Yoruko has noticed that one of the time travelers keeps traveling to and from Tokyo, although they never enter the city itself.

Hiyoko serves her home-cooked sukiyaki to Hajime, Chiaki, Sonia, Mikan, Hibiki, Maku, Emma, and Masaru. Everyone loves it. Hiyoko is happy, as she worked hard in order to learn how to cook over the summer.

As Kanade’s trial is coming up, she is scheduled to be moved to a more secure facility closer to the courthouse on September 9 at noon. Tsurgi and Kouhei will oversee the transfer. Sora, who is monitoring police headquarters, sees Juu talking with the suspicious person Setsuka saw earlier; he gives them a small briefcase, and they then seemingly just straight-up disappear. One emergency Quantum Crew meeting later, no one knows what’s going on, but they’re worried that whoever it is could let Kanade escape. Hajime suddenly realizes that since he and Chiaki told the twins that they were from Hope’s Peak when they met them, if Kanade broke out, she will go to Hope’s Peak for revenge. The Quantum Crew must make sure that the transfer goes smoothly and that Kanade doesn’t escape, for all their sakes.

general opinions: I want all her dreams to come true. I want her to be able to see her name in lights someday and think about all the hard work she put in to get there. I want her to be proud, and I want everyone else to be proud of her too, and I just, she just, she deserves it so much. I’m looking at the picture of her on my wall right now. She’s so happy. I want her to be that happy forever.

general opinions: I think the boys have done really well tackling Lup’s character, from concept to execution. This is speaking as a cis girl myself, of course, but like, I’m just kind of in awe at how tactfully she is addressed, and what a FUN character she is at the end of the day! The voice has been worked to absolute perfection, props to Griffin (and Justin obvs for the original inspiration), and I just... I’m so worried. Because I KNOW things don’t end well for her and I worry every day about my twins. Don’t hurt her, Griffin. Not after she just got the best day ever.
