What's you're opinion on Caspar and Linhardt relationship, like why do you think they work so well despite their differences
Oh, I have SO MUCH to say about their relationship. This works platonically as well as romantically in my opinion.
I've thought so much about why Caspar and Linhardt stayed friends for as long as they have. Linhardt seems to have little patience for most people, but Caspar's somehow been his exception for over a decade. And I like to think it's because Caspar has a specific quality to him that Linhardt saw that no other kids did, and vice versa.
Something that they both have in common is that they don't act like noble kids are expected to act, and they found solidarity in that fact.
Caspar's rowdy and got into tussles a lot. This is headcanon territory, but he probably got into a lot of trouble as a kid, and preferred to play rather than be obedient and sit still. He was also raised to train and fight, and was never raised to be lord material due to being a second son, so he never had to care for acting noble-like anyway.
Linhardt also showed no interest in being a "proper noble" and likely spent as much time as he could sleeping and looking into subjects he found actual interest in, because his father's duties were so boring and dull to him. He's someone who never cared about what people thought about him, and this was likely something that exhausted his parents to no end.
So here we have two noble kids who don't act like nobles and who never paid any mind to what others thought of them. They found solidarity in that, and so they became friends. Linhardt was likely someone who only dealt with being admonished for his lack of initiative, but Caspar was one of the only kids who ever complimented Linhardt on how smart he was and for knowing all these cool things about magic. In canon, Caspar goes to Linhardt for strategic advice because he trusts in Linhardt's plans and sees him as the brains to his brawn.
They also keep each other grounded in different ways. In my mind, Caspar teaches Linhardt to be more carefree and keeps him alert where it matters. You see this in Hopes the most. And Linhardt teaches Caspar to look at things from a more analytical lens and to not jump into things recklessly. And then there's the obvious angle of Caspar protects, and Linhardt heals. After all, canon has shown that Caspar's the reason Linhardt became good at healing in the first place.
They work well because they're a good team who balance each other perfectly and have grown up together knowing their strengths and weaknesses, and they have more in common than their surfaces would tell you.
And probably my favorite aspect of them as a pair: Caspar shows Linhardt what freedom looks like. Linhardt values his freedom more than anything, and the fact that he chooses to follow Caspar on his travels is very telling of what that means for him, someone who values free time, the freedom to research whatever he wants, and rest.
Because really, there's only so much you can learn from the confines of a library. You eventually run out of things to read. Caspar, meanwhile, is able to show him new discoveries through their adventures that books alone wouldn't be enough to show. And besides, someone has to keep him out of trouble, right? 😉

Butters outfit headcanons please!
Alright fellas strap in, because this is the character I've put the most thought in.
Tumblr media
For daily Butters' I see him wearing a fleece jacket, similar to the NorthFace ones. Some times he wears a graphic tee under it, sometimes it's a normal tee shirt.
For his pants I once saw someone say that he wears corduroy pants, and I love it. I remember having a pair growing up. For his shoes I think a low rise boot/loaf that's water resistant
Tumblr media
Moving on to my pride and joy, Professor Chaos. I see his cape being made of a spare sheet, held together by a clasp made of a broken necklace chain and the tops of cans. His vest is made of nylon ripstop and based off another Northface thing i saw. He wears green jeans, canvas shoes, and his tinfoil armor is precariously assembled with love and a lot of tape. (Stay tuned for my final costume idea)
Tumblr media
Moving on to paladin Butters.
His circlet is a cute plastic crown. He's got shoulder armor similar to that of a foot ball quarterback's. His tunic/surecloth is made from an old shirt that belonged to his father. Butters modified it to better fit him (his father didn't approve, but this isn't about that)
The belt is made of a drawstring that he found somewhere, all of it is worn over his everyday pants and shoes. He also wears those latex gloves for doing dishes. (Once again stay tuned for my final costume idea.)
Tumblr media
Ending with with his cute Halloween jamies.
They're footie pjs made of a cotton jersey fabric. (This is here mainly bc these are Uber cute and I an and will make a jacket based off it)
Now its time for Kass' final costume edit ™
These are my irl notes, and in my au, Butters gets a real cool babysitter, who has a freak knowledge on sewing.
Professor Chaos stays similar to Butters' og design. The only difference being in the cape, which was now made of a lightweight satin. That was chosen because it looks sick as heck. The tinfoil armor took a different shape, due to it being wrapped around cardboard to increase durability.
Paladin Butters has a more drastic change .
His cape is now one of those giant scarf cape things made of a lightweight linen. His tunic and surcoat are now separate pieces with the tunic being made of light cotton and the surecoat being made of wool. His belt is made of a faux leather cord that matches his boots. His gloves are made of faux suede and lined with sherpa.
The crest that's on the surecoat has a hammer discretly embroidered in it.
In my first version of it, the crest included a banner saying "Conplecte Abyssum" which is a Latin phrase roughly meaning "to embrace chaos"

Pawn Lane has been travelling the rift for over 4 decades and inwardly scoffs at newer pawns trying to tell him things he has experienced first hand already ahshsh it's not like they know. Pawns don't age so by their standards he's not old at all but has no patience left to entertain naivety.
Tumblr media
He could easily channel grumpy uncle energy if he had a more stereotypical appearance.

Linda held Kass in place with a strength and grip that felt like she could break off his horn if she held any tighter, as she spoke her threat casually with an underlying irritation in her tone that was clear the mienshao's eyes.
Tumblr media
"Now if you're really so curious, this 'quest' wasn't my idea in the first place. And it's not about the mega stones either. But they do know that I have a few of them. Although what's it to you if they do?" She asked rhetorically as she loosened her grip a bit for the other dragon could pull himself free if he wished. "A soft little dragon like you is in no position to be judging me on anything unless you want to learn how to fly."

Hii! I love your digital photography and content in general ❤️
I would like to know, what DLC are you referring to when you talk about the cursed Odyssey DLC?
I loved that game and your shots of Kassandra are just incredible!
Hi anon, thank you I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my work 😊
It is Legacy of the First Blade DLC where regardless of what sexuality you play Kassandra/Alexios as, the DLC will force a wlm romance because the 'plot' demands a child, even if players refuse the love interest in the "option". So when you refuse, it ends with the LI coming back and bam, baby.
Before the backlash, the game will give you a "Growing Up" trophy after having the baby, because fuck you players for wanting choices in a dlc of a choice-based rpg game. Sorry you can choose to have orgy with a goat involved, kill your own family, and let the leader of the Cult live (after kissing her), but the decision to have a baby is too big for players.
Context for the baby? Kassandra is in the middle of a war, where Athen and Sparta at each other's neck and both have corruption from within due to the Cult. Mercenaries on all sides and want to hunt her down at any moment. She recently lost Phoibe, who essentially is her adoptive child (this pain still hurts her after 1000 yrs). Btw Kassandra is immortal (main game plot), she lives from 438BCE all the way to 2018 so idk why bother with bloodline. Anyway, so ofc having a baby in the middle of all this plus taking 1-2yrs off to play house is a great idea.
This lousy plot is only to connect Odyssey and Origins together, because bloodline, which is ironic because bloodline has been irrelevant since Black Flags (Animus got an upgrade) and said bloodline in Origins (essentially Kassandra's descendant, Amunet/Aya's only child, Khemu) got killed off in the few hours. So all of this just to say, oh Kassandra and Amunet are related, but nothing else meaningful comes out of that. And anything from this dlc is never mentioned again in any story going forward (which is good imo), even in the new Kassandra crossover in AC Valhalla they mentioned Phoibe.
In terms of chemistry Kassandra has with the dude, I'll put it this way: Kratos has better chemistry with his dead wife who never appeared on screen. Actually, I rather choose the dude's father, he's a true gilf.
So when I hear about something similar with Minthy, saying I feel like I somehow dodged a missile is an understatement.

I know you said you might be busy these coming days, but I've just discovered Alkibiades from AC Odyssey and OMG the shenanigan's that would ensue if he were to be transported around the timeline to different assassin's. Altair and Ezio especially. Just imagine him walking up to masyaf like nothing and asking where to find the wine, or walking around italy and becoming friends with leonardo and absolutely making a threesome happen with ezio that would make ezio realize his feelings for leo.
Alkibiades would definitely play the fool as he tries to understand where he is. Even though he’s mostly seen as a troll with the highest sex drive in AC, he was still a student of Socrates, a cunning politician, and even a general. He would definitely push for debauchery and orgy parties but, underneath the wine and sex, he’ll be trying to get as much information as he can wherever he is.
Third Crusades: Alkibiades would be seen as a person of interest. Obviously not one of the Christians due to his ‘hobbies’ but also definitely not from around there. He would get everyone’s attention but Altaïr’s interest in him would be more on what Alkibiades can give him: information. Even if Alkibiades were to suggest they have talk about such hard topics after some wine and perhaps a round or two, Altaïr wouldn’t agree to it because it would be too dangerous for him to remove his weapons and equipment in an unsecured place. However, they would definitely get along but not in the way Alkibiades wanted. Their conversation would seen veer to philosophy and Alkibiades would both enjoy it and be annoyed by it because talking to Altaïr just makes him miss all those philosophical debates he would listen or participate in back home.
Renaissance Italy: Alkibiades would definitely be welcomed by the nobility for his intelligence and ‘strangeness’. The Church would turn a blind eye to his debauchery because he’s rubbing elbows with the powerful and the rich. In this scenario, Alkibiades has the highest chance of meeting Leonardo by becoming his patron. Perhaps, in this scenario, Alkibiades would take over Cesare’s place as Leonardo’s patron during the time of Brotherhood and, it’s in Rome (because, come on, Alkibiades would definitely host orgy parties in the seat of power of Christianity and tell people that they are honoring Dionysus) that he catches Ezio’s attention. Alkibiades would have a ‘pleasure first, business later’ relationship with Ezio and, yeah, Ezio would definitely do a few quests for Alkibiades similar to the assassination contracts for the Medici. Alkibiades would absolutely invite Ezio to his orgy parties and it’s in one of those that he pushes Leonardo (who Alkibiades knows has the hots for Ezio, he’s not blind) to Ezio and acts as a sort of ‘glue’ to keep them from stopping or thinking too deeply about the consequences this ‘one night stand’ would have in their relationship. It all work out in the end though and Alkibiades never stops telling Leonardo and Ezio that he’s their matchmaker.
Colonial America: Alkibiades will find his way into the Homestead and, while it can get boring because the people there are a bit ‘boring’, he and Ratonhnhaké:ton would get along. Not the sex part but the philosophy part, as well as having mentors that can be a bit too much at times (although Alkibiades would stress that his Socrates is much more layback and nicer than Achilles). He’ll definitely be Ratonhnhaké:ton’s sexual awakening and… Just imagine Haytham’s face when he hears that his son is in a kinda-sorta casual sexual relationship with someone like Alkibiades. Also, America is fucked the day he and Benjamin Franklin talk about Benjamin Franklin’s experience with the Hellfire Club. Shay may or may not be a member of their sex club, he will definitely not tell anyone if he was.
French Revolution: Alkibiades and Marquis de Sade will be BFF and it will be as chaotic and as depraved as you’re imagining. Although Alkibiades would be fascinated by the growing unrest in Paris, he’ll stay away from it though as he sees himself more as a voyeur than a participant. He definitely got Arno to join their orgies though…
Victorian London: Alkibiades would be more like a distant ally of the Rooks. He probably won’t interact with Evie a lot since he’s not really part of the whole Assassins versus Templars’ Race for POEs plot but he and Jacob are friends. Jacob is sometimes awkward around him but Alkibiades knows it’s because Jacob is having his bisexual awakening without him knowing. Alkibiades will definitely help in his own way and there’s a lot of sex involved and a lot of casual conversations between them. They’re not necessarily a couple but they are definitely friends with benefits. By the time Roth enters the picture, Jacob knows how he feels and he has a friend to talk to about it. Alkibiades enjoys danger but Roth is obviously bad news and he doesn’t want his favorite fuck buddy to get hurt.
Modern Day: Alkibiades is the owner of Bad Weather which is now a special BDSM members-only club. He takes Desmond as a bartender because he thinks he’s pretty (which means more drunk people asking for more drinks). Whether the boy wants to remain a bartender the entire time is up to him. Alkibiades has a more ‘mentor’-like relationship with Desmond and he teaches Desmond what he learned from both Socrates and the experiences he had before and after getting punted in this world. Desmond thinks he’s a bit eccentric and is in love with Ancient Greeks but he’s definitely a better ‘mentor’ than William Miles. They have super powerful clients and discretion is very important in this kind of establishment so, in some way, as long as Desmond is affiliated with Bad Weather, it would be hard for Abstergo to try and kidnap Desmond.
By the way, nonny...

What happened in azure gleam to make you feel that way towards Caspar?
To put it simply, I did not have fun with Hopes' story because Caspar was my reason for playing it and he ended up being unrecruitable in every route but his own. It was even worse when I saw before the game's release that Linhardt was recruitable in all routes and I ended up incorrectly assuming that would be the case for Caspar too. Do not separate, etc. Imagine my surprise when the game ended up forcing me to.
But even worse than that, the reason for him being unrecruitable in Azure Gleam was incredibly unsatisfying to me, and it was the scene where he talks to his father late into the route, his father gave him an out so he could survive, and Caspar refused to take it.
At that point in the game, Edelgard had lost her agency entirely to TWSITD (a horrendous turn of events considering her past) and the Empire was a sinking ship. And at that point, he was given the opportunity to leave and have his own life, even punctuated by his father pointing out that he had someone he cared about on the other side (this is obviously talking about Linhardt). And Caspar DOES NOT LEAVE. WHAT?
I don't think I need to explain why this baffled me so much.
This writing absolutely gutted me on a deep level, and not in a good way. I didn't play the route, but I saw this secondhand and it was enough for me to consider the route dead to me.
Taking my favorite character and making him impossible to recruit because they made him so loyal to a fault that he was willing to doom himself as a way to show that he would fight to the bitter end just made the game just. So unfun to me. Because while giving up is clearly not in his nature, this is an example of this trait being shown in a very negative light to me due to the circumstances presented and it makes Caspar feel very out of character to me. I get how it makes sense from Hopes' perspective, but ugh, that doesn't mean I have to like it.
One of the things that made me love Caspar was his different narrative growths based on the different routes of Three Houses. But Hopes gave him just one option and it's the one where he barely thinks for himself and his own survival.

I never got too deep into the tv series and honestly didn't even know it had a book adaptation but were there any big differences between them?
so many. to be fair to the show — with all the grace i'm willing to give jason rothenberg lmao — the show & the first book were developed at the same time from the same base concept kass had come up with for it.
that being said, here are some differences!
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe time between the nuclear apocalypse — called the cataclysm in the book — and the beginning of the story is 97 years in the show and 300 years in the books.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe ark is referred to as the colony, and consists of three major “ships” (phoenix, arcadia & walden), rather than the 12 or so stations (medical, earth monitoring, agro, alpha, arrow, factory, hydra, mecha, prison, tesla, flint & orchid) on the ark.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤin terms of comparability, phoenix & alpha seem to be the most “rich” of the stations / ships, and arcadia & walden being comparable to factory or mecha in terms of being the working class stations.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe colony itself has a far more in depth look into the classism on it’s ships, with phoenix being the “upper class” ship where people can have a better life through their status and wealth, vs arcadia & walden being more “working class” where people struggle to get by and a lot of the ships resources are not allocated properly. there is also a law divide between the ships, as those on walden or arcadia are not allowed to travel between the ships to phoenix without permission, and doing so could result in punishment.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤin the show, clarke & bellamy are the two main leads; in the books, there are four pov characters, with wells being one and another being glass sorenson, who isn’t in the show and doesn’t have any composite character there.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthere are no grounders in the books; instead the people found on the ground when the delinquents land are a rebellious offshoot of the main group known as the earthborn. however they are more equivalent to a “good” version of the mountain men; as their ancestors survived in the mountain bunker before leaving it 50 years before the books start. they are led by max walgrove.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤas such, there are no grounders from the shows in the books. other characters from the show’s main group that don’t exist in the books : raven reyes, finn collins, john murphy, marcus kane, monty green, jasper jordan, harper mcintyre, eric jackson, nathan miller, etc etc.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤlincoln also does not exist in the books but there is a character similar to him in concept — a person from earth falling in love with a sky person & being rebellious against their people — in max's daughter, sasha walgrove.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤraven reyes also has a character similar to her in luke, glass's boyfriend. both are engineers who struggle to keep their loved one alive & suffer a leg injury some time into the show / book.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤvarious name changes from show to book are: ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤaurora blake is melinda blake. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤabby griffin is mary griffin. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤjake griffin is david griffin.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe colony’s law follows the gaia doctrine, the ark follows the exodus charter.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe skyboxis referred to as confinement or the detention center.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthe nuclear apocalypse (praimfaya or apocalypse one) is referred to as the cataclysm or the exodus.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤthere’s no name for the tree in the show, but in the books, it’s referred to as the eden tree & it is set on fire by wells' in order to get himself sent down to earth.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤoctavia is 16 in the show & 14 in the books. bellamy is 23 in the show & 20 in the books.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤwhile clarke & bellamy are confirmed bisexual by the show & actors, it is unknown if kass intended for them to be bisexual in the books also. however, octavia is confirmed bisexual or mspec, as she has been shown to have crushes on wells & graham, & kissed a girl named anna.
SPOILER TERRITORY BELOW.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤbellamy is wells' half brother, with wells’ father, chancellor jaha, who had slept with melinda blake before getting into a relationship with wells’ mother. as there are no described races in the books, the ethnicities of the boys & their parents are unknown. this did not carry over into the show, as bellamy is played by the half filipino, half white actor bob morley, & wells is played by the black actor eli goree.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤbellamy & clarke are a confirmed couple in the books, having gotten engaged in the last book, rebellion.
ㅤㅤㅤ•ㅤmary & david griffin are revealed to be alive in homecoming, surviving unlike their counterparts in the show: jake (who died before the show started via being floated) & abby (who was murdered by russell lightbourne.)
this was a very long post & there are probably other differences but i'm in the process of rereading the books now so i'll reblog this with any others i find if i do!
