Autistic Reader + NCIS Team (Part Two)
Once again, little drabbles of a gender-neutral reader with autism interacting with the NCIS team. This one has Jack, Ducky, Tony, Tim, Kasie, and Nick.

Jack had picked up on your routine and habits quickly. She knew what time you arrived every morning, she knew how you took your coffee, and that you had to have a specific lid on the cup or else the texture made everything taste horrible when drinking. This information came into hand pretty soon after she noticed it. You had stayed at the office with Gibbs, working through different paperwork, and Tim had tried to be nice by picking you up coffee. Unfortunately, you had worked yourself to the bone, too tired to speak up when you felt the gross paper lid on your lips. Logically, Jack knew you were most likely semi-verbal, if not nonverbal, and waited until you had left to go to the restroom to explain the preference when it came to lid texture. By the time you came back, there was a plastic lid on the coffee cup, one that didn’t make you want to spit the drink back out. You spun around the room, seeing blonde hair retreat into her office before you could even call out her name. A plastic reusable lid showed up on your desk the next week, fitting onto the cups from the nearest coffee shop that had the paper lids.

In your early days at NCIS, you avoided the morgue, finding the smell of bleach too overwhelming. As time went on, you got attached to Ducky, facing the strong smell to talk to the doctor. You would go back and forth with random stories, Ducky having heard so many of your stories that he started telling them when they related to a case. At some point, the conversations always made it to the topic of documentaries, a shared love between the two of you. Most days there would be a suggestion on a topic or feedback on a recommendation documentary. At one point, the two of you ended up bumping into each other when checking out DVDs at the same location, deciding it would just be easier to watch them together. It became the normal thing for the two of you to get together twice a month to watch a documentary, the host deciding which one. It was a constant in your life, something you appreciated very much.

When Tony heard you liked a good amount of Steven Spielberg’s movies he was excited, hoping you would like some other classics, but he was wrong. You liked the Jurassic Park movies the most, the Indiana Jones and Back to the Future movies following closely but that was really it. Jaws was okay, Gremlins wasn’t really your thing, and you had a strange distaste for the Goonies, something that made Tony explode when you told him. It was even worse when you said Shrek was a piece of art. All of his other films were too emotional or just didn’t catch your eye. To put it simply, Tony was frustrated, thus, starting a tradition. Once a month you would sit down with Tony and a bowl of popcorn to watch any film he deemed a classic. It was hit and miss, some being great while others just seemed plain dumb. You did appreciate his consideration when it came to the loud noises in the movies, knowing when to turn the volume down or warning you. After multiple movies though, you felt that you needed to share too, causing a rotation to start. One month, he would choose one of his classics, the next, you would choose a sci-fi movie you liked. You didn’t notice how much you liked the silly tradition until he became an agent at sea, which stopped the movies. He would try to throw out movie suggestions but you could never sit down long enough to actually start the film, something he was amused by when he eventually came back.
-
Tim had stumbled onto you and Tony bickering about movies one day, which piqued his interest. Only really doing so because the topic of the bickering was whether or not Han Solo was a douche. Tony was of the opinion that he wasn’t but you were convinced he was. Tim realized his mistake the moment he realized the topic though. Never walk into a room where two people are bickering especially if it was between you and Tony regarding films. He was immediately asked his stance, causing the conversation to end quickly when he meekly agreed with you. The topic of Star Wars wasn’t brought up again for a while, with work taking up the majority of Tim and your conversations. The topic was finally brought up again when you mentioned going home and being bored, Tim offering for you to come over and watch Star Wars with him. From there, your friendship expanded. Free time at work was spent chatting about similar nerdy stuff and scheduling movie get-togethers.

Kasie had taken up Abby’s tradition of making apparel for new NCIS agents but also added the tradition of making yearly sweaters or caps for the team. Every winter season they were handed out, a cap going to Nick while everyone else would get a sweater. It was a cute tradition and one that you loved until she tried out a new type of yarn. It was horrible. The texture was uncomfortable and you left the sweater in the box for weeks after you got it. Kasie didn’t know until the yearly holiday get-together. Everyone had shown up wearing their gifts except you, who chose to wear the one from last year. She had frowned, only figuring out that you might’ve disliked the yarn texture then. The next week, a new sweater arrived on your desk, the same design and the old one was nowhere to be found.
-
It was common knowledge that Nick wasn’t the best with words, often panicking when people are emotional around him, so it was surprising for him to sit next to you while you sobbed your ass off. You had gotten deep into a case, becoming horribly sad when another person fell victim to the killer. Nick just sat with you, explaining he didn’t do words but if you needed company he was there. When he tried to stand your hand reached out, grasping his wrist, making him sit back down. He sat with you for an hour in silence.

Halloween Costumes
Tumblr media
alden parker x reader
This is for all my southern gals, hope you like it!
“I’m sorry to ask you this last minute, but would you mind taking Victoria trick-or-treating for me this Friday?” Jimmy asked (Y/N). “Of course Jimmy! I love Victoria, she’s like the sweetest kid I’ve ever met.” (Y/N) replied. “Thanks, (Y/N), I was hoping I’d be able to finish this case in time, but with the newest body we found… it’s not looking good.” “Anytime, Jimmy. Plus, I think she’ll like my costume.” (Y/N) replied, happy she has an excuse to dress up for Halloween. “Ooh, what’s your costume? Unless it’s a surprise.” Jimmy said. “Nah, you’re good. I think I’m going as Cowgirl Barbie.” “Oh, nice. Victoria says her’s is a surprise. She won’t tell me what it is.” Jimmy replied. “I’ll take pictures for you. Do you want me to pick her up and we can get ready here at NCIS?” (Y/N) asked. “That would be awesome, thank you.” Jimmy replied, grateful for his friend.
~time skip to Friday~
“Hey, (Y/N), got any plans for tonight?” Jessica asked. “Yeah actually, I do. I’m taking Victoria trick-or-treating for Jimmy.” (Y/N) said. “Aww, cute! Are you dressing up?” Jessica asked. (Y/N) wasn’t sure if she should tell her friend the truth, but ultimately decided to. “Yeah, I am.” “Ooh, what are you going as?” Jessica asked, taking a sip of coffee. “It’s a surprise.” (Y/N) said, not wanting to be judged for her costume. “You have no idea, do you?” Jessica asked, wanting (Y/N) to reveal her costume. “No, I do… I just don’t want to be made fun of for it.” “I’m not going to make fun of you for it. I promise.” Jessica said. “Fine, it’s Cowgirl Barbie.” (Y/N) said, waiting for the laughter to begin. “Like from the new Barbie movie? That’s cute. It's so you.” Jessica said, trying to hold back her laughter at her friend’s choice in costume. “Thanks.” (Y/N) said, relieved her friend didn’t laugh in her face like she expected. “Plus, Parker loves hearing your accent peak through. So imagine the look on his face when he sees you in it.” Jessica said, ending with a wink.
(Y/N) did have a crush on her boss, but she didn’t think he felt the same. But after what Jessica said, she was starting to wonder if her feelings were as one-sided as she thought. ‘Does he really like my accent?’ (Y/N) thought to herself. After a few hours, (Y/N) picked up Victoria as promised and brought her to NCIS. “Hey, what’s up Victoria?” Nick said when he spotted Victoria and (Y/N) exiting the elevator. “Hi, Uncle Nick. (Y/N)’s taking me trick-or-treating tonight!” “What are you dressing up as, Victoria?” Nick asked. “It’s a surprise, Uncle Nick.” Victoria replied. “Wow, you’re not even going to tell your favorite uncle?” Nick said, feigning offense. “Come on, (Y/N), let’s get ready!” Victoria said, grabbing (Y/N)’s hand.
(Y/N) and Victoria went down to Kasie’s lab to get ready for the night ahead of them. As they came back to the bullpen (after taking photos with Kasie for Jimmy), they heard a myriad of ‘wows’ and ‘I love it’ coming from the team. Victoria came out first, showing off her Tinkerbell costume. After about a minute, (Y/N) came out and heard almost the same thing from the team, minus the “Wow you look so pretty” from Nick. He did whistle though, making (Y/N) glad she chose that particular costume. The costume consisted of a vest, flared pants, and a matching cowboy hat, all in the same shade of Barbie pink.
Parker wasn’t there when they came out to show off their costumes, as he was asking Jimmy for an update on the case. But what he saw when he came back up the stairs, he’ll never forget. (Y/N) was sitting at her desk, feet resting on her desk, showing off her brown cowboy boots. She was pretending to talk on the phone, while Nick took a photo of her. ‘So this was the mystery costume…wow. She looks great. It's so her.’ Parker thought. He was starting to wonder why she was dressed up. Yes, it was Halloween, but people don’t dress up at NCIS very much. He didn’t have to wonder for very long, as he spotted Victoria in her costume.
Victoria and (Y/N) took photos with the team, as promised to Jimmy. When it was time to take a picture with Parker, (Y/N) started feeling even more nervous than she was already feeling about the entire situation. Parker didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable, so he asked if he could put his hand on her waist. He wasn’t expecting her to say “Sure, Alden.” She didn’t just call him “Parker”, but “Alden”.  (Y/N) wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but she thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of his hand  on her waist. She often wondered how gentle his touch would be. Every thought and every daydream had nothing on the real thing.
Earlier when she was getting ready with Victoria, she briefly wondered if Parker would find it adorable or weird. ‘Please be adorable.’ (Y/N) thought. Little did she know, he really liked the way she looked in that costume. He didn’t want to make it obvious, but he couldn’t tear his beautiful hazel green eyes away from the sway of her hips as she walked with Victoria to the elevator. But he forgot for a moment that he works with extremely intelligent individuals who can read human behavior like there’s no tomorrow. So him trying not to be obvious didn’t quite work out the way he wanted it to.
“So Parker, what’d you think of (Y/N)’s costume?” Torres said, with a smirk forming on his face. Parker knew he wouldn’t stop being teased by the team, but he was okay with it because he had hope that one day (Y/N) will feel the same. Little did he know, she already did.

Caught in a Snow Storm ~ Alden Parker 1/2
Summary: After a work road trip, you and Alden have to stop at a hotel cause the roads are being closed and there’s only one room left.
Warnings: one bed, heater goes out, smut, age gap, smoking, handjob, oral (f receiving).
Words count: 5.2k
Author’s note: yes, despite being summer, I’m writing winter fics. I couldn’t shake this idea off my head so I finally wrote it down. Second part coming soon! Special mention to Supernatural in this work because 18 years later, I finally fell into the rabbit hole. I hope you’ll like it! ❤️
None of this was planned. Nothing happened the way it should have. The whole trip was a major waste of time, giving you zero info for your murder case and even less a lead. On top of that, a huge snow storm hit, blocking the roads and you had to stop at the first hotel you found. You usually love the snow, you find it beautiful when it’s all white outside. But this time, it was just the cherry on the cake. “Do you have everything you need for a sleepover?” You did this trip with your team leader, Alden Parker. You didn’t want to go in the first place.
The idea of being stuck in a car for almost three hours with your crush didn’t sound appealing. Not that you mind being with him, you actually love his company, love talking to him about all kinds of things, love his face when he smiles, or how his eyes are soft whenever he looks at you. You love how his mustache is dark while the rest of his beard - and hair - keeps getting whiter. But you still didn’t want to, because of what happened the week before.
Despite being cold outside, the sky was clear blue and the sun was out. You love this exact kind of weather, and ever since you found out about the roof, you enjoy going up for a break, taking some deep breaths, having a smoke and just appreciate the quiet. And that was exactly what you did. Smelling the nice scent coming from the bakery down the street, a cigarette in hand, you relaxed. You even took a couple of pictures of this nice view.
“You know,” you jumped for a second at the sound of his voice straddling you. He chuckled at your reaction. “Ever since I joined, I’ve been wondering where your secret smoking spot is.” He got closer to the ledge, taking in the view. You tried not to stare too much.
“Did you follow me here, Parker?” You puffed on your cigarette.
“Just a little at the time. Nice spot. But the cigarette—“
“I know, I don’t need the lecture. I’m not a heavy smoker, you know.” You stayed a few steps away from him, not wanting to overwhelm him with the bad smell of nicotine.
“Just when you’re overwhelmed or want to relax.”
You didn’t know what to think about the fact that he noticed all of this. And was intrigued enough that he found your secret spot. You felt all giddy, but buried it deep inside you.
“After sex, too.” As soon as it left your lips, you regretted it. Where was this coming from? Technically, it is true, you enjoy a smoke after sex, but it wasn’t something Alden Parker needed to know. You felt so horrified that you stopped looking at the man and just focused on the view and your cigarette that was coming to an end. You would probably need another one. “I shouldn’t have said that.” You managed to say.
“Yeah,” he agreed and you felt even worse. “Look, I’m not going to tell you how bad it is for you, cause I know how annoying that is—I’ve been there.” You looked at him, forgetting your embarrassment for a second. “Just that if and when you decide to try to stop, I’ll be happy to help.”
“H—how did you stop?”
“That’s actually one of the good things that came out of my marriage with Vivian. She really wanted me to stop, so we came to an agreement that everytime I needed to smoke, I’d reach out to her. I’d call if we weren’t together, or just tell her if we were, and she’d do her best to take my mind off it.”
“And it really worked?”
“After a while, yeah. It did. But also because I wanted to stop. If you don’t have that in the first place, no matter what you do, it won’t work.”
“I’ll— think about it. Thank you for offering your help.”
Your cigarette was long gone, and you put the bottom away in a little ashtray you hid.
“We’re a team.” He smiled at you. That damn smile that makes you want to reach for him and kiss him until you can’t breathe.
You went back to the bullpen together. “I do miss a good cigarette after sex though.” He just said before you left the roof.
Maybe you spent the entire week overthinking this. He obviously didn’t mind what you said, but you still felt horrified by it. Why would you say something like that to him? Clearly, he knew what that feeling was like, but it still wasn’t worth mentioning. He did agree when you said you shouldn’t have said it though. Did it make him uncomfortable? He probably doesn’t want to know anything about his coworkers sex life.
Not that you had any lately.
When you finally reached a hotel, you thought it would be it. You couldn’t wait to get into your room, lay down and relax. Probably go back down later to smoke. The ride itself wasn’t bad at all. Alden was his usual self, you two talked about many stuff in the car, some were work related and some weren’t. At some point, it felt like he was trying to know you better than he already did. After all, you’ve been working together for just a year, and it’s not like you two spend a lot of alone time together.
“I’m sorry we’re booked.” The receptionist started to say, and you sighed heavily. “Lots of people decided to stop when they announced the storm coming up. All we have left is a suite.” You and Alden looked at each other.
“It’s either that or the car.” He said.
“Fine. But accounting better not give us hell for that.”
“Is this a work trip?” The lady asked, surprising both of you.
“Yeah, why?” Alden asked.
“Because that suite—only has one bed.”
“Fuck me.” You muttered a bit too loud. But Alden agreed for the room.
“We’re adults.” He said in the elevator. “We’ll build a pillow wall if it makes you feel better.”
“Sure. Adults and pillow walls really fit together.” You rolled your eyes. Alden chuckled.
“Have you ever slept in the same bed as a friend or something?”
“Yeah, of course. But it’s different.”
The elevator’s doors opened and Alden walked out first. “If it really grosses you out to share a bed with me, I’ll sleep on the floor, Y/N.”
You usually love when he says your name, but not this time. You could tell by his tone that you upset him. Hurt him, maybe? But wasn’t it better that he thought something like that than know the truth? That you didn’t want to share a bed because you were scared of what it may do to you. You followed him into the suite. It was very beautiful, spacious, and kinda—romantic. Not helping.
“That’s not what I meant, Alden.” He put his backpack down.
“I saw a little store down the street, I’m gonna go buy a few things.” He walked past you to reach for the door again. “Do you need anything?” He still asked.
“A pack of cigarettes?” You heard his quiet growl.
“I was thinking more like some food? Hygiene products? PJs?”
“Do you really think they are selling PJs in that mini store?”
“I’m hoping. Sleeping on the floor is one thing, but sleeping on the floor in my suit? I’d rather not.”
“You’re not sleeping on the floor.” You told him.
“Are you?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah right.”
You knew he wanted to ask you why it was different with him. Why did you seem so repulsed by the idea of sharing a bed?
“I’ve got everything I need, thanks.”
Alden nodded and left.
This would be alright, yes? It was just one night. The bed was big enough for you two, you wouldn’t need a pillow wall. You just hoped his scent wouldn’t drive you crazy, that his body heat wouldn’t warm your insides.
While Alden was gone, you called McGee to give them updates - not that you had much - and listen to theirs. You exchanged a few theories about the case. And finally told him that you’ve found a hotel to spend the night. “Where’s Parker?”
“He needed a few things for a store downstairs. How are the roads in DC?”
“Not too bad yet, but we’re all heading back home before we have to sleep in the office.”
“Lucky you.”
“Be safe and stay warm.”
“Not too warm though.” You overheard Nick. The team knew about your crush on Alden. They all figured you out little by little.
“Tell him he’s a dead man.”
“She’s going to kill you.” Tim said to Nick, laughing.
“Love you too!” Nick shouted.
You were still working on your computer when Alden came back from his little trip. You immediately noticed the snow all over his dark coat, his hair was wet, and he looked absolutely frozen. “It’s getting bad.” You stood up to take a quick look through the window. Everything was covered in snow and the night was dropping. “The store owner told me that a neighborhood close by lost power. We may be next.”
“Wonderful.”
As Alden took his coat and jacket off, you went to grab a towel from the bathroom and offered it to him. “For your hair.”
“Thank you.” He dried off his hair, and sat on bed to take off his wet socks. He looked at you puzzled when you extended your hand.
“It’s just socks. They need to dry.”
You disappeared in the bathroom to put them on the tower heater, while it still worked. When you came back, Alden was sitting on the bed in his white undershirt, his belt was unbuckled. You forced yourself not to stare. “We can eat downstairs but I don’t feel like moving just yet. You can if you want to be alone.”
“Not hungry for now. You should take a shower while there’s still hot water, that’ll warm you up. I put a towel on the heater.”
You could feel his eyes on you even though you had your back turned to him. “Thank you.” And he was gone to the bathroom.
This was going to be alright.
You took a look in the bags he brought back. Was this considered sneaking? He didn’t say anything about it being private, and you could see a bag of chips on top anyways. And you found mostly snacks, a bag of your favorites. There was your favorite kind of tea, and some coffee powder. And obviously, a box of pastries. You smiled at that. If Alden doesn’t find his way to pastries, pastries will find their way to him.
Then you grabbed the hotel menu, looking at what could interest you. Unlike you told Alden, you were hungry, you just didn’t want to eat alone. And you wanted to make up to him for hurting his feelings earlier.
He came back from the bathroom, wearing some night shorts, his white t-shirt and a black zipper on top. His hair was still a little wet, and messy. You’ve never seen his beautiful hair like this and you loved it even more. Alden looked so casual, and cozy, you realized this was what it’d be like to date the man. This could be one of your daily views, if only— if only.
You were on the bed, scrolling on your phone, your legs under the blanket as it was getting a bit colder. “You should go too.” He told you, and you agreed. Walking past him as he smelled fresh from the shower turned your upside down. You hurried to the bathroom and locked up. A cold shower was more needed than a hot one. You almost gave up to your urges in the shower and touched yourself, but your embarrassment afterwards would be written all over your face, and Alden could read you very easily.
You needed to smoke.
“You were looking at the menu. Do you want to order something?”
“Do you?”
You definitely noticed how Alden looked at you from head to toes, even though there was nothing to see. You were wearing an oversized hoodie that you always have with you during winter, and your work pants. “I don’t have shorts like yours or anything similar.” You answered his silent question.
“Get under the blanket and take them off. I’m staying here for now anyway.”
You did as told, because you honestly wanted those pants off. Alden stayed seated at the little table. “So, food?”
“The grilled cheese sounds good.”
“Drink? I got you some tea for later, but you already saw that.”
It was the first time since you got the room that you and Alden actually looked at each other. You could tell he was teasing you for looking into the bags, so you smiled. “My favorite. Thank you by the way.”
You gave Alden your full order and he called the reception, who informed him about the heating system issue. The room temperature was clearly dropping. You pulled on your sleeves to cover your hands, and put the hood on. “We can get an extra blanket, or hang out around their chimney.”
“I’d rather stay here for now. And get your ass under the blanket too.”
“I’m good.”
“For the love of god, Alden! I’m not grossed out by the idea of sharing a bed with you! Or anything like that for that matter.”
“No, I know. I get it. I’m your team leader, I’m quite older than you. It’s not very comfortable, like sleeping with your weird uncle or something.”
You laughed, but Alden looked serious.
“You’re definitely not the weird uncle.”
“Yeah, tell that to my nieces and nephews.”
“I’d rather trust Eli.” You smiled and he returned it. You and the team learned about Alden’s godson only recently. You’ve met his former FBI partner, Jeremy, who talked about his son Eli, and how much he loved his godfather. You had no doubt believing that Alden was a loving godfather, who took his role very seriously. And you loved that about him. “Get under the blanket, Parker.” You said again, and this time he did. He stayed very much on his side though, a huge gap between your body and his. “Plug your phone before the power goes out.” He said, plugging his own.
As you left the bed to grab your phone charger - and computer - you forgot that you had no pants on. It didn’t even occur to you when you slightly bent over to get it from your bag. It was only when you walked back to the bed, and saw how red Alden’s cheeks were that you realized. You basically jumped under the blanket, mortified. “I’m sorry! I completely forgot—sorry.”
“It’s okay.” He cleared his throat. “No worries.”
“Let’s agree that if either of us does something that makes the other uncomfortable, we can just say it. Yeah?”
“Deal.”
How could you look him in the eyes now?
Both of you on your side of the bed, focusing on your phones, the room became totally quiet. You didn’t know what was more uncomfortable, the fact that you just saw your panties, and that you’re both so ill at ease, you can’t even talk, creating this awful atmosphere.
Finally, your order came in. You obviously decided to eat on the bed, the blanket covering you as much as possible. “I can put up something on my laptop if you want.” You offered.
“Yeah, why not.”
You gave him a few options as he settled the food.
“What’s Supernatural?”
“Seriously? Dean and Sam Winchester, chasing demons and all kinds of creatures?”
“That sounds—“
“Like what we’re watching. Sit.”
And you did just that. Eat dinner in bed, covered by a comfy blanket, watching the first episode of Supernatural… with your team leader. Your crush. The guy who’s much older than you.
You didn’t know who was the most surprised by how Alden got into it. He was asking you a bunch of questions, some that you couldn’t answer without spoiling. “Just because it’s not that bad, doesn’t mean I’ll binge the whole thing. Don’t care about the spoilers.”
“I do. So, if you want to know what killed the boys’ mom, just watch it.”
Alden was leaning against the headboard, an arm behind his head. He looked even more cozy than he did earlier. You could so easily lay down on his chest, and cuddle as you watch the show. “Maybe I should go down and get that extra blanket.” He said at the end of the episode.
“I will go. I’m gonna smoke.”
“I didn’t buy you a pack.”
“Always have a few with me. Do you think you can avoid freezing to death for ten minutes?”
“You’re the one going outside. Wouldn’t you prefer to stay warm here and talk to me?” He offered. How he managed to stop smoking. “We can watch another ep, if you want.”
“You’re hooked.” You grinned.
Alden turned on his side, leaning a little closer to you. “Well it’s always nice to know how to defend myself if I ever encounter a demon.”
“Or a vampire, or a werewolf, or a rougarou.”
“What the hell is a rougarou?” He laughed.
“Binge. The. Show.” At every word, you got closer to Alden. So close your forehead almost brushed his. A little more and you could’ve kissed the man. And it obviously took both of you by surprise.
“I’ll go get the blanket. Be back in a few.” He was gone before you could say anything.
By the time he came back, you had cleared the bed from the plates and food, made sure that there were no crumbs or anything in the sheets, put his water bottle on his nightstand, and waited. The extra blanket looked fluffy and pretty warm, and Alden couldn’t wait to get under. “It’s freezing in those damn hallways.”
You grabbed the blanket from his arms and set it just right on the bed. You took your computer, settling it between your hips and Alden’s, maybe it acted as a barrier. “You’re cold.” You could feel his coldness despite the gap.
“You think?” His vest was close up to the top, and he put his hood on just like you. Without thinking further, you reached out for one of his hands. It was frozen.
“Gimme the other one.” Puzzled, he gave you his hands. You put them in the big pocket of your sweater, and covered them with yours. His hands were much bigger than yours but you didn’t care. You moved your fingers on his skin, putting a bit of pressure to get the blood flooding properly.
“Do you have another pocket for my feet?” He asked as you felt his legs getting closer.
“I swear if you put your cold feet on my legs, I’ll scream.”
In the pocket where the four hands were, you didn’t know who was trying to warm who. They were mixed together, you could feel his fingers moving against your palm and wrist. Alden chuckled, his legs got even closer.
“Parker, I have a gun.”
“So do I. And I’m a better shooter.”
“We’re 1 to 1, so no, you are not.”
You and Alden went to the shooting range a couple of times. It started with a little teasing about your aim after a case, and it turned into a competition. Whoever wins the next round has to invite the other for dinner. His idea.
Did it mean something?
“When this case is over, we’re doing the last round. I can’t wait for my free dinner.”
“Be careful. I could take you to the worst and cheapest restaurant ever.”
“In that case—“
Before you knew it, Alden’s legs were intertwined with yours. His feet were pressed against your calves, and your body got much closer to his. You let out a small scream of surprise before trying to fight him off. But his hands had left your pocket to lock you down. To be honest, with your training, you could get out of his hold but he wanted to play, so you were going to indulge. He was holding you so tight that your hands were stuck in your pocket. You tried to sneak your way out, until you both heard a thump. “Was that my laptop?” You asked.
“Uh-huh.”
“If it’s broken, you’ll explain to accounting why I need a new one.” You lifted your head to look at him. “Shouldn’t be too hard for you.”
“Why’s that?”
“According to the rumors, you dated—“
“Come on. Don’t tell me you believe those rumors?”
“Well, they are around your age, some are single. And Kathy is very beautiful.”
You felt his hold loosen a little but honestly, you didn’t want him to let go of you. You wanted to stay there for as long as possible. He smelled so good, his body felt perfect against yours. Being this close to him felt—right.
“Mmm… that’s true, she is. Do you think I have a chance with her?”
You forced yourself to smile. “Of course you do. You’re clever, handsome, sweet, funny, passionate. And you have the best head of hair ever.”
He laughed at that. From where you were, you saw his throat bobbing. His Adam’s apple was so close, all you wanted was to kiss it. His laugh was the best sound you’ve heard, and it was even better when you were the reason he was laughing.
“I figured you loved my hair when a month after I joined the team, you accidentally touched it.”
“It was an accident, Alden! I was reaching for the file and your head was on the way!”
“Sure it was. I have such a big head.”
“Aldeeeen!” You whined and somehow your face buried itself in his neck. “I swear I didn’t—“
“I’m just teasing you.” He chuckled.
Realizing that you were basically cuddling the man, you were ready to move away and get some much needed distance. Especially that Alden’s released the last bit of pressure they had on you. But before you could move even just a little, his arms closed again. This time, he wasn’t locking you down. He was hugging you. Cuddling you.
“We should stay like this if we don’t want to freeze to death. Unless it makes you uncomfortable—“
“I’m good.” You immediately said. You didn’t want to move. Not now, not ever. “You’re lucky your feet are warm now.”
“Thanks to you.”
After a long moment and an internal debat, you moved your arms to hold him back. You felt his body relaxing entirely, and yours did the same. And you stayed like long enough that you both fell asleep.
Three hours later, you woke up. You and Alden were practically in the same position, except that he rolled a bit of his back, and one of his hands was dangerously close to your butt.
Your skin was damped. You were hot and sweating. Pulling the blankets just a little, you realized that the room wasn’t cold anymore. As slowly and quietly as possible, you moved out of Alden’s arms and left the bed. The heater was working very well, your hoodie wasn’t needed anymore so you got rid of it, as well as your socks. You were now in a tank top and panties, but couldn’t bring yourself to care. Especially not after what happened earlier.
You removed the extra blanket as gently as you could so Alden wouldn’t wake up. Then, you crawled back in bed, stared at his beautiful and peaceful face before slowly opening the zipper of his vest. You were halfway through it when his body moved and you felt his eyes on you. “The heating system got fixed. You should take it off.”
“You were doing a great job.” He sleepily said. You opened the vest entirely, and tried to remove it from one of his arms.
“A little help, Alden?”
Half asleep, he sat up and put his arms in the air like a toddler wanting to be undressed. You quietly laughed and undressed him, almost straddling his lap. It surprised you when he got rid of his t-shirt too before laying back down, taking you with him.
Alden was shirtless. You could feel him, you could touch his chest if you were bold enough. You wanted to turn on the lights and see his body, admire it, imprint in your brain forever. You were about to relax and just enjoy this moment, but it was when he let go of you and practically turned on the other side. “Oh” left your lips as it surprised you, confused you and kinda hurt you.
“Male body reaction.” You heard him say. “It’s better I stay on my side.”
It took you a couple of seconds to understand. “What if I don’t want you to stay on your side?” You whispered and moved closer. You didn’t know what had gotten into you at this moment. Maybe you were going to die of embarrassment, maybe you’d have to quit your job in the morning. Or maybe—
You were now spooning Alden. “Remember our agreement? If one of us does something that makes the other un—“
“Yeah.” He cut you off.
Slowly, you ran your hand from bare back to his chest. He started to breathe heavily. You loved the hair that was there. You touched his pecs, his tummy, making him growl, and reached the waistband of his shorts. You softly kissed his shoulder and Alden melted. His hand went up and down your forearm that was around him. “I need you to agree to this, Alden.” You whispered into his ear, “Don’t want to take advantage of sleepy you.” You planted a kiss under his ear.
“I’m very much awake, sweetheart.” His head leaned back into you. “You can do anything to me.”
When was the last time someone took care of this man?
Your hand finally got into his shorts. You had barely touched his length that he moaned. When your hand wrapped around his cock, you didn’t expect it to be this thick. You got even wetter than you already were. You collected his pre cum on the tip, and used it to start stroking. “Fuck!” He growled deeply. He completely leaned into you, his hand reaching for your hair, neck, face. He was needy and you loved it. You freed his cock from the shorts and stroked him slowly, putting just enough pressure. You kissed his cheek, nipped his ear. You were able to move your other arm under his head, which allowed him to touch his chest. Between the noises he was making, you could tell he wanted to talk, he wanted to say something but everything died on his tongue. “Kiss me.” Was all he could say as he turned his face and you did. All teeth and tongue, all needy and desperate. Alden was now on his back, his hips moving. You weren’t sure if you were giving him a handjob or if he was fucking your hand. That you cared.
“I’m gonna—“ he choked and growled.
You kissed his cheek and whispered to his ear again. “Cum for me, Alden. I’ve got you.” A few more sloppy strokes and he was coming all over his stomach, your name dying on his lips along curse words, his fist holding onto your hair for dear life - it stung a little but you loved it.
You watched him coming down from his high, playing with his hair. His chest was rising and falling rapidly as he was catching his breath. The post orgasm bliss on his face. You kissed his cheek, “I’ll go get a towel.”
When you came back, Alden had turned the nightstand light on, and he looked absolutely perfect. Naked, satisfied, relaxed… the best version of Alden Parker you’ve ever seen until now.
He tried to reach for the towel but you slapped his hand away, and cleaned the sticky mess on his stomach. As soon as you were done, Alden grabbed you and pinned you on the bed, his body covering yours. “I think we can say that our platonic work relationship is ruined.” His eyes moved from your eyes to your lips.
“How terrible.” You grinned and he kissed you. You’ve been in control so far, but you knew at this moment that he was taking over.
“I’m not sure how I got you to be interested in me, but I’ll take it.” He lifted your tank top a little and went down to kiss your stomach.
“You’re the only one who didn’t know I’ve had a crush on you for months.” Your body shivered under his touch.
“I may have noticed a few things—“ he took your top off of you and admired your breasts before touching them, kissing them, playing with your nipples. “But it seemed impossible.” He kept touching your tits as he got back up to kiss you. You buried your hands in his hair, and wrapped your legs around his waist.
“Why? Because you’re older?”
“For starters.” He kissed you one more time before getting on his knees. He slowly took off your panties while staring deep in your eyes.
“I don’t give a fuck about your age.” He looked at your panties, smelled them before throwing them away. You practically moaned at his actions.
“You should, babydoll.”
He settled between your legs, kissed your inner thigh, bit a little, and gently touched your pussy, looking at it so hungrily.
“Well if you don’t fuck me properly, I just might.” You teased, trying not to lose your mind over having him down there.
“As much as I want to, I’m not going to fuck you tonight, unless you got a condom hidden in your bag.”
“For fuck sakes!” You shouted.
“Sorry, doll. But I’m going to make you cum.”
And he finally dived in. He inhaled your scent deeply, before putting his month where you needed him the most. Alden knew what to do, when to do it. He ate you like a starving man. Making you moan loudly. You felt his index finger penetrating you, and another finger as his month kept playing with your clit. It didn’t take long before that amazing and familiar feeling appeared. One of your hands was in his hair, while he was holding the other with his free hand. Your legs around his neck could’ve suffocated him but you didn’t care and neither did he.
“I want to taste all of you, doll. Cum with my mouth.” He encouraged you. “I’ve got you.” He repeated your words. And you didn’t need more.
After cleaning you with the towel, Alden held you as you were catching your breath. Kissing your hair, he gently stroked your back. You both enjoyed this moment, this position, this tenderness. You didn’t know what tomorrow would be like, or even what this all meant.
Neither of you dared to ask.

Y/n’s death and how the team reacted
(Y/n’s POV)
Flames danced around my body. Smoke filled the air. My screams unheard. Fallen beams of wood were everywhere. The heat was unbearable. The pain was excruciating. My vision was blurry and I was gasping for air. but no matter the pain I was in the fire was memorising. The way it danced all around me was incredible. I did panic at first but that floated away as I focused on all of the good and bad memories I had made. I had been through hell but I had also seen heaven. I had made a difference in people’s life’s, I had helped people and encouraged them and supported them. I had kept fighting even though everyone thought I wasn’t strong enough and had shown that I was good enough, that I am strong enough and that I am a good person. I held on to my necklace, the one Jack had given me. It was like I was looking through a picture book of every conversation we had every touch and every look that connected us but it all got to much.
The pain was constant, and merciless. I don’t know when I started crying but I am now. The tears were refreshing against the heat but they weren’t enough to save me from turning to ash. The fire has surrounded me like a cult, I can see the faces of the people I love flash across the room before the final strike of pain hits and When it hits it hurts like nothing else I had ever felt. I said goodbye and closed my eyes for a final time. The flames covered my body and the smoke became part of me. The only thing they found left of me was the necklace that I had held on to when I died and the remains of my bones.
(Third person pov)
Ellie:
Ellie couldn’t stop thinking about all the ways things could have gone differently. She was over analysing every peice of data, every word, every move and every step that had lead to your death. She was mad and hurt and she stoped talking to everyone. She shut down and struggled to get over your death. She has framed the painting you two did together in her living room and when stressed or upset she goes to the spot under the tree at the back of the ncis build where you two used to talk.
Kasie:
Kasie was hurt but she knew that everyone else was hurting to, and she knew that the one thing you had always wanted to do was to start an spca charity so She stared a side project and after years and years she helped over 1000 animals on your behalf. She helped everyone process your death and every once and a while bring flowers to your grave. She loved listening to the others talk about your adventures and often found herself wishing that she had been closer with you.
Ducky:
Ducky was crushed. Your death had hit him more than any other agents death. You were like his grand child. He refused to even look at your body for a week. After your death all he could talk about was how proud of you he was. He bragged to everyone about how much of an amazing person you were and constantly told story’s about all of your adventures and moments in life. He hoped to inspire others by talking about your high and low points in life.
Gibbs:
Gibbs was furious. He hunted down the guy responsible for your death and killed him. Gibbs then quit ncis and drowned himself in bourbon. He visited your grave everyday for four years and refused to go back to ncis until jack showed up and convinced him that You would have wanted him at ncis and to move on. He was proud of who you had become and like ducky he often told your story to anyone who needed to hear it.
Jack:
Jack didn’t believe it at first. You had cheated death so many times before. She broke and was pissed off that You had been through so much shit and had helped so many people and still died in a way that was horrific. That You had died in the hands of one of your biggest fears. Jack and you had been very close. She had told you about wingos and her tour. She opened up to you and You did to her. Jack was one of your safe places. She always helped ease the pain and stress of life and even though it took you a while to open up to her you two became very close. She helped the team move on and get past your death and for that you would be forever Grateful.
Jimmy:
When he got the call Jimmy collapsed to the floor cried. Hugging his knees and rocking back and forth to try find some confort. He thought about all of your Goefy and fun moments. He didn’t leave until someone found him in the sitting in the dark. Jimmy was looking through an old photo album with photos of yours and his trip around the world before you joined ncis. He couldn’t sleep at night and could not stand to hear your name without crying for 3 years. He’s still heartbroken about your passing but his family and friends are helping him get through it.
McGee:
McGee stoped being able to focus. Like Ellie he began going over everything that had gone wrong, and everything little thing that had lead up to your death. He also cried and he sat Under his desk which is were you used to sit together when he had a rough day. McGee refuses to talk about you and tells anyone off if they bring up your name. Everyone is careful around McGee but Delilah has been incredible with supporting him.
Nick:
Nick hid his feelings about your passing at first and did everything he could to bring your killer to justice. He made sure everyone else was okay but he started to drink again and lost self control. He became very angry and he struggled with keeping his emotions at bay. He was ordered anger management therapy to help him get through it. Him and Ellie helped each other and they eventually bounced back to being okay, but this time they were okay together.

Nice to meet you (Kasie Hines x Reader)
•• For anon 💞 enjoy! ••
It wasn't a secret that you were one of NCIS’s most well-known agents. You’d been there for almost five years and had been on some pretty big assignments. Especially once you transferred to Gibb’s team.
“Hey (Y/n)!” Abby’s voiced cheerfully greeted you as she came into the bullpen. “Have you met Kasie yet?” You smiled with a shake of your head.
“The name doesn't ring a bell. Who is she?”
“She's helping Ducky write his book! She's really keeping him on track.” She gasped. “Are you free right now?” You looked at the mass of emails you had yet to reply too.
“Actually-”
“Great! She's down in my lab, let's go!” She grabbed your arm and pulled you out of your chair and to the elevator. You opened your mouth to object but figured it was no use and chuckled. There was no saying anything to Abby when she was on a mission.
As soon as the elevator opened on the bottom floor Abby was off, dragging you behind her again.
“Kasie! Meet special agent (y/n)!” Your eyes widened. You didn't know what you'd been expecting, but you weren't expecting her. Her glasses framed her face perfectly. Her smile was envious as she looked up from where she's been reading something. Her smile faltered as she stood. You smiled as she came up to you. She was stunning.
“So, you're the one helping Dr. Mallard?” You chuckled. “What a lucky guy.” You held out your hand. “It's a pleasure to meet you.” She put one hand on her heart while using the other to shake yours.
“No, the pleasures all mine! I mean...you're the (y/n) (y/l/n)! You went undercover in France and took down one of the most notorious drug lords! You battled terrorists on a plane, you're a legend!” You shrugged.
“It was nothing.” You chuckled. “So, I know we just met and all but would you...want to go out for coffee sometime?” Her eyes lit up.
“Y-you want to go out for coffee? With me?” She squealed and wrapped her arms around you in a hug. “I’d love too!”

Hiiiii my fav Alden Parker writer!!!!!!
😊🌸😊🌸😊🌸😊🌸😊
I have a request, I’d love to read one of Alden having a sweet young pregnant girlfriend but the team doesn’t know cuz it just never comes up at work till she’s a witness to a crime. He becomes very protective of her and he doesn’t want her out of his sight till the case is over & the team gets protective of her too. I feel like he would cheer her up by getting her favorite pastries & she’d love to playfully call him daddy which would get him excited 😏
this is pure fluff! <3 enjoy my love, i had much fun writing it! <3
words count: 4,1k
Baby Parker
Ever since you found out about your pregnancy, you have become a compulsive buyer of baby stuff; furniture for the nursery, toys and most importantly, baby clothes. You had a full wardrobe ready for the baby before you even knew the sex of your little one. Your partner, Alden Parker, was amazed every time he came home and saw what new things you bought. Most evenings, he sat there while you showed him everything.
It got worse when the OBGYN told you you were having a baby boy. The first thing you bought was a tiny gray suit; similar to your baby daddy’s. Your favorite of his. Alden almost cried from happiness, just like every time he noticed your baby bump growing. Or like that night when the baby kicked for the first time.
You were cuddling on the couch, watching the show you and Alden had been binging. He had an arm wrapped around your shoulders and his other hand resting on your belly when it happened.
Your body jerked lightly from the surprise and you let out a small ‘Ow!’. Alden sat straight up, pure wonder on his face. “Was it?” he asked.
“His first kick!” You laughed and cried at the same time.
“My god!” Alden had tears in his eyes too, and he put both hands on your belly, waiting for another kick. “Hey baby boy, – how does it feel?” he looked at you.
“Wonderfully weird.”
A new kick.
You and Alden looked at each other, completely amazed. It was perfect. “I can’t wait to meet him.” Your boyfriend said, a tear falling down his cheek.
The baby kicked again, like he was responding to his father’s voice. You ran your hand into his hair, “Talk again, daddy.” you invited him.
Alden settled down, his face close to your baby bump. “Baby boy, it’s daddy. Four months til we get to meet you!” Another little kick, Alden grinned at you and you returned it, still crying from happiness.
“Mama is crying from happiness and so am I,” It was exactly a kick this time, but the baby still moved. “You’re real, our tiny human.”
You spent the rest of the evening watching the man you love talking to your unborn son, and feeling him moving and kicking inside you. This was one of the happiest moments in your life and you knew there was more to come.
When you tried to sleep, your boy wasn’t calming down. “Hyperactive already?” Alden joked, “He really is half you.” he kissed you before settling between you under the sheets. His hand rested on your belly, stroking small circles with his fingers. Slowly, the baby stopped moving around, allowing you to fall asleep.
A few weeks later, you enjoyed your lunchtime to go out and shop. You went to your favorite baby store. You tried to control yourself and not buy too many clothes for your little guy - only because Alden told you the baby probably wouldn’t wear half of the things you were buying. You were proud of yourself because you only bought a couple of things. You texted your boyfriend on your way back to the office but stopped when you were two people fighting a few feet away from you.
You looked up from your phone, just in time to see one of the men pulling out a gun and shooting the other. Before you could react, the shooter was running away and got inside a car. It was probably all the stories that Alden told you that made you take a picture of the car before it was gone. It was blurry as you were shaking, but they probably would be able to get something out of it, right?
Everything happened so fast. Some people were checking on the man that had been shot, and 911 had been called. You stayed there but didn’t approach, as you felt your baby moving a lot around. You should probably sit… but you knew you had to wait for the police to get there.
You told what you saw a few times, showed them the picture you took and one of the cops had the guts to insinuate that you took the picture because you were in on it. Luckily, his partner knew it was nonsense. You were getting tired, thirsty and hungry. Your little boy kept moving and kicking, like he was reacting to the horrible thing you just witnessed. You asked a few times if you were free to go but the cops asked you to stay more.
“There are a few witnesses, bright day light murder, that was risky.” McGee said to the team.
“Have you talked to any of them yet?” Parker asked him.
“No, but I’m gonna start with the pregnant lady. She’s been here for over an hour, she must be exhausted.”
Alden followed to where McGee was looking and his jaw dropped. The pregnant lady wasn’t just any lady. It was his lady. His woman carrying his child. Concern and worry appeared on his face and he immediately started running towards you. The team watched their boss running almost like a man to one of the witnesses and then they looked at each other. “Who is that?” Jessica asked as they saw Alden hugging you.
“A witness, her name is Y/N Y/L/N.”
“Family member? A niece maybe?”
On the other side, all your discomfort disappeared when you saw the man you love running to you. You stood up from the bench you had been sitting on for over an hour, and welcomed him into your arms. Alden hugged you tight and put his hands on your belly, “Are you two okay?” He asked, clearly worried. “How are you feeling, sweetheart? How long have you been on that bench?”
“An hour, maybe more. We’re fine,” you stroked his cheek, “Your little guy keeps moving though,”
His hands didn’t leave you or your belly. “I’m sorry you witnessed that–” he kissed your forehead.
“Wrong place, wrong time,”
“Do you have some water in your bag? Something to eat? I’m gonna get you back to the headquarters so you can rest and tell me everything, okay?”
You nodded to what he said last, and followed him. He helped you walk, like you were sick or injured but you didn’t mind at all. You loved how attentive he was being, plus all you wanted at this moment was to lay down for a nap.
You and Alden approached his team who was still investigating the crime scene. “Is everything okay, Parker?” One man, who you assumed was Tim McGee, asked.
“Yes but no. I need to have a word with those assholes who can’t take care of a pregnant woman correctly!” His voice raised, surprising those who worked with him but not you. You knew how overprotective he could be, especially since you were pregnant.
“Den, it doesn’t matter.” you told him, “Let’s just go?”
“It matters to me. What kind of people let a six months pregnant woman wait on a fucking bench for an hour, without even checking on her?” He saw one of the cops who welcomed the team earlier and called him out. “Can you answer that, uh? Couldn’t you offer her some water? Food? Or offer her to wait in the car, which is more comfortable than a bench? I hope a pregnant woman would never have to count on you!”
“Alden, you’re overreacting.” you grabbed his face in your hands, forcing him to look in your eyes. “I’m fine, we are fine.” you pressed your lips against his, not caring that a few people were watching. Alden took a deep breath to regain control of himself. He pressed his hand on your baby bump, feeling his little boy kicking. “Even your son is telling you to calm down.” you smiled. “Take me to your office, daddy.” You grinned. You love calling him that since you found out about your pregnancy.
Alden told his team to finish here while he took you to his car. He grabbed a bottle of water and a protein bar in his bag and gave them to you. You gladly drank but you weren’t hungry. “Eat please,” he told you, driving towards the NCIS headquarters. “For him.” he placed his hand on your belly. How could you resist?
“The look on your team’s faces was amazing,” you giggled. “You’re gonna go through a real interrogation.”
“And I will tell them everything they want to know.”
At the crime scene, the team stared at the car going away. “Definitely not a niece,” Jimmy said.
“Did any of you know?” Jessica asked.
“That he had a pregnant girlfriend about half his age? Nope.” McGee smiled.
“She is pretty and glowing,” The female agent said.
“Pregnancy tends to do that,” Jimmy told her.
Even though you kept saying that you were fine, Alden practically carried you to his desk and settled you in his desk chair. He got you more water, and asked if you wanted something else to eat. “Alden Parker, stop it. I’m okay, and so is our boy.”
“Promise?”
“Yes!” you giggled. “Now, I need to show you something.”
You took your phone from your bag and showed him the blurry picture you took. “That’s the car the shooter left in. I know it’s blurry but–”
“I’m gonna get this to Kasie, she’ll get something out of it. It’s amazing, honey. Great thinking,”
“Luckily, I was texting you when it happened so I had my phone in my hands.”
“Do you wanna meet Kasie?”
“I’d love to!”
Alden extended his hand to you, but you stood up without taking it. He sighed and showed you the way to the elevator. Inside the little box, he grabbed your face in his hands and kissed you passionately. “I wish it was under different circumstances, but I’m glad the team finally knows.”
“Me too, baby.” you kissed him a little more until the lift was over.
Intertwining his fingers with yours, he took you to Kasie’s lab. “Already back–oh hi!”
“Hey Kas,” he greeted her, “This is Y/N, a witness who took a very useful picture, and also my girlfriend.” He put his hand on your belly once again, “and this is our baby boy.”
“That is–a lot of information,” she laughed, “I had no idea,” she extended her hand to you, “Very nice to meet you, Y/N. And when are we going to meet this little one?”
“Three months.” you shook her hand.
Alden gave your phone to Kasie so she could transfer the picture to her computer. Before giving it back to you, she saw your lock screen; you smiling at the camera while Alden kissed your cheek. “I have to ask, why the hell did you hide this from us?” she asked your man, gently slapping his arm.
“Force of habits.” he said. “Plus I’m glad you know now.” he wrapped his arm around your shoulder, holding you close to him.
“So much love in my lab, it’s very unusual,”
“Can I leave her with you for about ten minutes?” he asked Kasie but looked at you before she could even answered, “There are armchairs in the back where you can rest,”
“Where are you going?”
“You’ll see in ten minutes.”
Alden kissed you before leaving the lab. He didn’t feel comfortable leaving you after you witnessed a murder but he wanted to do something for you; getting some pastries and your favorite tea. After this, he wouldn’t let you out of his sight. He didn’t know much about the crime yet, but you were a witness and from what you told him, it was possible that the murderer saw you. Luckily, he knew you couldn’t be more safe than at the NCIS office.
“Are you okay?” Kasie asked you as you were settled in one of the chairs.
“Yes, and I don’t need to lay down but if I don’t, Den is going to freak out.”
“‘Den’?” she smiled.
“Yeah, sorry. His little name,” you giggled.
“That’s sweet. You have a great partner,”
“Wouldn’t be having a baby with him if he wasn’t,” you smiled, rubbing your baby bump.
“Is he moving?”
“Yes. Do you wanna touch it?”
“Can I?” she sat next to you. “I never knew anyone who was pregnant, so I never–”
You took her hand in yours and put it on your belly, exactly where your boy was moving. Kasie grinned with wonder, “It’s crazy. Must feel weird, right?”
“At first, yeah. But now, it’s just amazing. I love feeling him moving,”
“The team is gonna have a little mascot,”
You laughed and felt him give a frank kick, “Baby Parker will love that apparently.”
Exactly ten minutes later, Alden came back with a white box in one hand and drinks in the other. “Are you serious, Parker?”
“Very.” he smiled. “Got you a little something too, Kas.”
“On one hand, I’m trying to be careful about what I eat and on the other, this guy keeps feeding me with pastries.”
“Well, if I ever dated a man, I’d love for him to be like you, Alden.”
“Yes, like him. Because this one is taken.” you playfully winked at her, taking a bit in your pastry.
“Thank god, by you. For a moment, we thought he was dating the weirdo from the second floor.”
Alden shot a glare at Kasie, who understood she spoke too fast. “What weirdo?” you asked, looking between both of them. “Alden Richard Parker!”
“Sorry,” Kasie took her tea and pastry and went back to her computers.
“Thanks for throwing me under the bus!” he called out and looked back at you.
“I’m waiting.”
“It’s nothing. Just this woman that keeps hitting on me, but I made sure she knew I wasn’t interested.”
“Did you now?”
He sat next to you. “Yes and I haven’t seen her in weeks. You trust me, right?”
“I trust you, but I don’t trust women who hit on my man.”
Alden chuckled and kissed your forehead, “I do love when you’re jealous.”
“Is she pretty?”
“A bomb.” You punched him and he laughed more. “Maybe I’ll get her pregnant too.”
“Give me your gun. Now.”
Still laughing, he grabbed your face in his hands and kissed you. “I love you so much.” he moved down on his knees and kissed your belly, “And I love you too.” he said to his son, and of course, the baby kicked as a reaction.
“I’ll get my revenge, Parker.”
“Don’t care, not jealous.” He played with your son through your skin.
“Says the man who almost kicked my gay cousin’s ass because he was helping me choose clothes.”
“You were in your bra in front of a man I never saw before. Saw red,”
“That, you did.” you giggled, running your hands through his hair and then his beard.
“I hope I didn’t cause any trouble.” Kasie came back, “The team is back, Den.” she grinned.
Alden grabbed his phone and opened the Bandium app, sending a group text to the team. “Update in Kasie’s lab.”
A few minutes later, Nick, Tim, and Jessica walked in. Alden kissed your forehead and joined them upfront. “Is this Missus okay?” Nick asked.
“She’s not the Missus–yet.”
“Oh, is someone preparing a proposal?” Kasie teased.
“I am indeed, but let’s not talk about it here,” he looked in the back, making sure you didn’t hear anything. “So, tell me everything.”
The team updated their supervisor on everything they collected at the crime scene, which wasn’t much. Despite a few witnesses, there was no explicit description of the shooter. “Enter the future mama.” Kasie smiled, showing the picture on her screen. She was working on clearing it, as it was really blurry.
“She was shaking when she took it.” Alden told them, “But I guess it helps to date a cop,”
“Maybe this case will be closed fast, thanks to your beautiful girlfriend you never told us about!” Jessica teased him.
“I’ll tell you everything you want to know later, but for now, I wanna make sure there will be no repercussions on her so I’m not leaving her side.”
“Overprotective, future dad Alden Parker.”
“You know what? Yes!” He admitted to his team, “I’m overprotective, jealous, probably annoying to her and very much in love. And when my son is born, I’ll bore you to death with pictures and stories about him!” he grinned, not noticing that you came out from the back of the lab. You hugged him from behind.
“Don’t worry, we had McGee that did the same with his twins.”
“Hey!”
“You’ve got a job to do, Alden. You can’t stay by my side.”
“Watch me.”
“Help, guys?”
“If she stays down here, she’s with Kasie.” Jessica offered.
“I can even lock the doors, if it makes you feel better.”
Alden sighed. His team was siding with you and he didn’t like that. You witnessed a murder, and maybe he was overreacting by thinking you may be in danger, but he was taking any risk with you and the baby. Never. He had no common sense when it came to you, he knew it from the beginning, before you even got together.
“Alden, I’ll watch over her like she’s the apple of my eye.”
He looked at your smile, knowing he couldn’t say no to you. “You rest, you eat, you stay hydrate, and if there’s anything–”
“Take him out while you can,” you pushed him towards his team and Jessica was the one to grab his arm.
“Don’t pop that kid out now.” Nick joked before closing the door behind them.
“Your baby daddy makes me think I may be mistaken about white men.” Kasie told you and you never felt more proud. And according to his kick, so was your son.
You stayed with Kasie for an hour, watching her going through the evidence while answering your boyfriend’s texts. You talked a lot, getting to know each other. She asked why you and Alden weren’t married yet, and you admitted that you wanted to marry him and he always told you he didn’t want to do it again because of his catastrophic first experience. Then she asked if you had a baby shower planned and you admitted that most of your friends and family turned their back to you because you were dating an older man.
Kasie was already planning a surprise baby shower for you.
Alden came back and acted like he hadn’t seen you in weeks. He made sure you and the baby were okay, once again. He had the baby store’s bag in his hand and gave it to you. “Wanna show me what you bought?”
Smiling, you got the clothes out of the bag. It was a baby scarf, a little flanel, some jeans and black vans sneakers. “Oh my god, these are the cutest things ever!” Kasie exclaimed despite herself. You and Alden laughed, and you handed the clothes to her. “Is he going to fit in this?”
“Crazy, right?” Alden smiled, looking at the baby shoes in his hands.
“I can’t believe that soon, the tiny human growing inside you will be in those.” Kasie was amazed and you were close to sob. You missed having a friend to share that with, a friend would be excited to meet your baby boy. Alden noticed the tears in your eyes and held you against his chest. He didn’t have to ask what was going on.
“Trust me, Kas, when it’s the woman you love carrying your baby, it’s just–indescribable.”
Kasie saw many couples in her life, but never had she witnessed two people that much in love with each other. “You’re not crying because of me, sweetie, right?”
“Hormones,” you said, which wasn’t a complete lie.
Alden kept holding you, stroking your back and hair, until you stopped crying.
Eventually, they had to talk about the case. Kasie managed to clear the picture you took, but unfortunately, the car was stolen a few days prior, so it wasn’t helping much. You felt bad for them. “You’re coming back to the bullpen with me?” he asked and you could see that he didn’t want to be away from you. You agreed, kissed Kasie’s cheek and followed the man you loved.
In the elevator, he hugged you as tight as possible. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.
“It’s not your fault. They aren’t real friends if they turn their backs so easily, right?”
“Exactly. You have real friends here. A new family even.”
“Gonna need to know more about Kasie, but I feel like she’ll be a great godmother to our boy, don’t you think?”
“The best.”
The team had to meet people for their case, get information, but Alden refused to leave the office. He sent his team who completely understood and you stayed at his desk, next to him. He was working while keeping a hand on your belly. Your son kicked every now and then, and Alden answered by softly pressing on your skin with his fingers. It was like they had their own code to communicate and you loved to witness it. “I’m not in danger, right?”
“No, sweetheart.” he kissed you. “I’m overreacting, I’m sorry.”
“Not the first time, won’t be the last,” you touched his eyebrow, looking at him lovingly. “I love how protective you are.”
“Even if it’s too much, sometimes?”
“Even that,” you kissed him but got stopped by someone clearing their throat.
“Joanna, hi.” Alden greeted the woman standing in front of his desk.
“Alden.” she said, before looking at you up and down. Her eyes stopped on your baby bump. It didn’t take you long to understand who she was.
“Joanna, this is my partner, Y/N. Honey, this is Joanna, a coworker.”
Grinning, you extended your hand to her but she didn’t take it. “Can I talk to you–privately?”
“No, what’s going on?”
“Are you sure you want your partner to hear?”
“Partner and mother of his child,” you corrected.
“Did you know that the father of your child likes to flirt with other women?”
“I never flirted with you, Joanna.”
“Sure you didn’t,”
“Love, can you take me to the bathroom? I’m not feeling great–”
Completely blocking Joanna, Alden’s face turned pale as he helped you stand up and took you to the bathroom. He kept asking you what was wrong, if he needed to call 911 or your OBGYN. It was only when you were in the bathroom that you smiled and kissed him. “I’m perfectly fine.” you told him. “But this woman wasn’t going to leave us alone.”
“Y/N, damnit! You can’t do that to me, my heart is racing as hell!” you pressed your hand against his chest and realized that he wasn’t lying.
“I’m sorry, babe. We’re fine.”
Alden pressed his forehead against yours, holding your face in his hands, “I never flirted with her.” he told you.
“I know, Den. It’s always the same problem with you; you’re too nice with everybody and women tend to take it for flirting and interest.”
“I’ll try to be an ass from now on.”
You laughed, “You couldn’t even if you tried.” He softly kissed you.
“Gonna call the team and see if it’s okay if I call it a day.”
“Alden…”
“Shh,”
For the team, it was okay. Alden could take you home for the rest of the day. They were handling it, and this case didn’t seem like a hard one.
Once at your place, you put the clothes in the wardrobe. There were too many clothes for just one baby, especially considering how fast he’s going to grow. “Don’t worry,” Alden said, hugging you and your bump from behind. “The ones he doesn’t have the opportunity to wear, our next baby boy will.”
You laughed, “Let me give birth to this one before thinking about another one.”
“And another one, and another and another,” he kissed your neck.
“Do you want me to give birth to a team, daddy?”
“Yes. The DC Parkers.”
You turned around to face him, “I love you so much.”
“I love you more.”
It was only the next morning that you learned Alden sent an email to his director to inform him he would be working from home. He asked you to do the same for your work and you stayed at home for a couple of days.
It was only when his team told him that you were in no danger that he managed to leave you out of his sight.

Eight Day of Twelve - A Sweet Surprising Treat
A/N - these may be getting worse.. bit I'm glad everyone is enjoying them >.< When I first started I thought I'd have a bit more time to write but work is killing me with extra hours. So I'm doing my best lol.
As always click below for previous drabble
Tumblr media
. . . .
"Jimmy, no." You glared at him from across the table as best you could. For some reason you couldn't pull off the Gibbs glare when it came to Palmer.
"Come on. I've seen the way she-"
"Oh sure, you can't see what's going on between Bishop and Nick but you somehow notice the sparkle in Sloane's eye when it comes to y/n?" Kasie all sass, taking another bite of her bacon. "When do you get out of your cave to spy on them anyway?"
"Oh please, that was all a bit of fun to see Nick's reaction." He waved off. "Plus I see everything." He wriggled his eyebrows and it seemed to take the creepiness out of his statement. Very Jimmy.
"Since when do you play with people like that?" You raised a brow, you were slightly impressed. Trying your best to ignore the stalker intent he mentioned. You'd circle back to his spying ways another time.
"Everyone seems to come to me with their secrets and problems or does it just happen because people confess more when there's a dead body around?" He questioned the universe, genuinely asking if that was the case.
You laughed, taking the last bite of your pancakes and washing it down with some coffee. This was your second cup in under half an hour. Last night had been a long one, Jack hadn't let you go to sleep until midnight. You shook your head at your own thoughts. Jack didn't let you do anything, you just didn't want to be the one to end the texting first. You paid the price with the lack of sleep and early morning rise for breakfast with friends.
"What you shaking your head at and don't say Jimmy." Kasie leant back in the booth beside you.
"How do you know it wasn't at Jimmy. I shake me head all the time at some of the things he spots out." That made Kasie laugh, mainly at Jimmy's reaction of shock humour.
"I shake my head at myself too but mainly I'm just running away because Gibbs always-" He looked over his shoulder and you both laughed at him.
It was good catching up with them outside of work. It had been a hectic month or so which meant everyone was busy sleeping if they weren't at work. The office Christmas party was only a week or two away and you and Jimmy seemed to be the only two excited. Probably because he wanted to show off his new ugly Christmas sweater he'd been raving about for weeks.
Breakfast was over too soon which Kasie being called into work to follow up with another teams case and evidence being brought in.
"Please. Let me."
"Why is everyone buying things for me lately." You huffed.
"Oh boo hoo. Poor me, I have a secret admirer who buys me gifts." Kasie fake wiped her eyes and rolled her eyes.
"You know in our line of business it could be classed as creepy."
"Thanks for putting that one in her head Jimbo." Kasie patted his back. " Mr always positive is lacking today."
"Gotta keep it real, kids." He cracked his knuckles as you pushed the door open and let them exit first.
"Never say that again. Please." You both laughed at Jimmy's pouted lip but agreeing nod.
"See you at work tomorrow." Kasie waved, hopping into her car.
"Enjoy your freedom." Jimmy grinned, walking a bit further to his car.
You made it to just after lunch when you got the call. It's not like you weren't expecting it and at least you got 24 hours rest before heading back in. First you needed to make a pit stop before who knows how long you'd be up til tonight. You needed the extra caffeine because the diner coffee was starting to wear off.
You got ready in a rush with the priority being coffee from your local around the corner. It technically being your Sunday you didn't put much effort into your attire and raced out the door.
You pulled your car into a spot just up from your coffee shop and slipped your gloves on before stepping out of the car. It was cool days like today where you wished you had a nice thick scarf to stop the icey breeze from hitting the back of your neck. You jacket collar just wasn't cutting it these days.
The coffee shop was warm and a nice breath of hot cocoa hit your nose when you opened the door.
"Ah there you are. I was wondering when you'd come in. No work this morning?" Sharon, the owner, came out from behind the counter with a cloth, wiping down the table beside you.
"Technically my Sunday but we got called in anyway." Your shoulders slumped and you added a little pout to make yourself seem even more whiney. "Need a pick me up, don't know how long it's going to be."
Sharon smiled, wiping down another table in two quick swipes before scooting around the counter to start your order. "One extra large coffee with two sugars and cream annnnd..." She turned around from the computer and picked up a box resting next to the coffee machine.
"What's this?" She placed the cardboard takeaway box in front of you.
"Open it silly." She beamed, finishing off your order in the computer and tapping her finger on the credit card machine.
You tapped your card before opening the box. It was six of your favourite cookies. "What?" You were even more confused.
"I got a call this morning. Don't bother asking who was it, I swore on my life O wouldn't give anything away." She held up her hand just as you were about to but in. "Nah! No questions. You get free cookies and no answers." She beamed as you rolled your eyes and grumbled a little. "Shush, I'll make your coffee and you go save the world."
You laughed, she had quickly become one of your favourite people in the neighbourhood. Always making conversation with the regular customers and making you feel cared about. She was very concerned one day when you hadn't shown up for a week ( you were on a stakeout) almost said she called the cops but then she remembered you were one and that you were most likely on important business. She was sweet and kind, giving you extra shots when it looked like you needed it and she'd tell you too.
Now she was in on this rouse and there was no way of getting information out of her. Not even Gibbs could crack this woman. I don't think he'd dare try.
You happily accepted the coffee, which had three shots in it not two like everyone got. With the box of cookies tucked under your arm and the caffeine already flowing through your veins again you headed to the crime scene with only one question on your mind. Who the hell was this secret gift giver?
. . . .
Hope this is ok, hardly edited >.< Enjoy while I work almost 9 hours when it was meant to be my day off. Ah Christmas in retail. Hate it.

Ellie bishop x reader - Calm
Tumblr media
can you ellie bishop x gibbs daughter reader, where the reader is autistic? where she comforts the reader after a meltdown (bc i’m post meltdown and not feeling too well), possible one where an agent makes fun of the reader? - Anon❤️
“Hey Bishop Gibbs is looking for you. He’s in the directors office.”
“Huh, do you know why?”
Kasie shrugged and carried on her way. Frowning slightly, she tried to figure out why. Maybe it was because of a new cause or she needed to go undercover. Honestly, there was loads of reason.
As she made it up, the door was open and she could see Gibbs, Vance and another agent who looked terrified.
“Hey Gibbs, what’s up?”
“We need to you find (Y/N).”’
“I’ve not seen her. Is she okay?”
Gibbs glared at the agent and she gulped stepping forward.
“I... I was calling her names... and she ran off crying..”
Instantly Bishop’s confused face turned to rage as she took a step forward.
“You think it’s funny to make fun of someone? You think life isn’t hard enough for her without you-“ “Bishop!”
Instantly she stopped and turned to Gibbs.
“Leon and I will deal with her.”
“Right, find (Y/N), I might know where she is.”
With that Bishop ran out the room. Down the hall to the elevator and jumped in. Pressing the button, if she was right, she knew exactly where you would be.
When the doors opened she jogged out, and into the lab, she took a look around to find Kasie, McGee and Nick looking into the office.
“Hey McGee is (Y/N) in there?”
“Uh, Yeah. She’s crying, is she okay? She shouted at Kasie and Nick so I didn’t want to get to close.”
“Some agent was making fun of her.”
Nick held up his hands to get everyone’s attention.
“Who is that?”
“Yeah, I’ve never seen her before.”
“It’s Gibbs’ Daughter. Now, if you excuse me.”
Bishop opened the door and stepped in, closing it quietly behind her. Leaving McGee to deal with the questions she looked around for you until she saw you under the desk. You didn’t budge but she could hear you crying. She didn’t get to close as she sat on the ground.
“(Y/N).” She called softly.
You tensed but didn’t shout at her. Taking that as a good sign, she shuffled forward a little so she could now touch you if she reached out.
“(Y/N).” She called out again.
Shaking your head, your curled up into yourself some more.
“I want Bishop...” you sniffed.
“I’m right here.”
Your head shot up and she smiled. You crawled forward and laid your head in her lap as she ran her hand down your hair.
“What happened?” She asked gently.
“The agent said mean things...” you mumbled.
“Do you want to talk about the mean things she said?”
“No...”
“Alright then.”
You closed your eyes as she carried on running her hand down your hair while she hummed a song under her breath. She took out her phone from her pocket and handed it over to you, handing you her earphones allowing you to listen to music.
Your hand drew random shapes on the floor as you soon begun to feel calmer. Sitting up, you wiped your eyes and tapped the floor. Taking her phone in her hand, you put it in your pocket and tugged on her jumper sleeve.
“Can we eat?”
Standing up you walked out of the office with Bishop trying to catch up to you. You stopped in front of the elevator and bounced on the balls of your feet.
“What do you want to eat?”
“(F/F).”
“We can get all the (F/F) you want.” She smiled.
Nodding, you grabbed Bishops hand and smiled. She gave your hand a light squeeze.
“Thank you...” you muttered.
“For what?”
“You make me calm.”
Bishop didn’t reply but she wore a huge smile, she was glade she could help you

Valentine’s With Gibbs
Tumblr media
Here’s just a little Valentine’s Day story for you guys! Hope you enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day!
You watched as the suspect you and McGee had been interrogating for hours was finally led out in handcuffs after a full confession. You were walking back to your desk, grabbing your coat and you headed home. You had a date tonight. On Valentine’s Day. It was a spur of the moment thing, as you really never went out on Valentine’s Day, but a guy from your old high school had come into town. You had hated him in high school. He had made fun of you countless times throughout the years and you never thought in a million years you would be going on a date with him. But when you ran into him at the store, he seemed completely different. He ended up asking if you’d want to go to dinner. Surprisingly, you had said yes. You showered and put on a strapless red dress, curling your hair and putting your makeup on. You drove to the restaurant and sat down at the table waiting on him to get there.
You started getting a little anxious. It was 20 minutes after you had agreed to meet. Time continued to pass and you only got more and more upset. He had stood you up. And probably never planned to meet you in the first place. It seemed he hadn’t changed a bit. You left, ignoring the pity look you got from the hostess, and got into your car. You drove and drove until you were at a bar. The name of it sounded vaguely familiar but you didn’t care to figure out why at this point. You got out, slamming the door, going in. You sat on one of the stools and the bartender came over.
“Hey. What can I get you?”
“Whatever’s strongest.”
He looked at your outfit and assumed that you probably hadn’t gotten dressed up just to come to a bar. He gave you a small sad smile, giving you a glass of amber liquid. You drank it down, eyes trained on the tv above the bar. You hated sports but you just wanted to seem interested in it so people would leave you alone. Bartender dude checked on you a couple times, refilling your drink for you. You raked your hand through your hair, sighing heavily.
“Y/N?” A very familiar voice spoke from behind you, making you pause before turning to meet crystal blue eyes.
“Gibbs...” You blinked. It made sense now. This was the bar he frequented when he didn’t drink in his basement. You took in his furrowed eyebrows and his slightly rigid stance.
“I thought you said you had a date tonight?” He looked you over, always protective. You nodded.
“I did...or...well...I thought I did, but...” you rambled on, eventually spilling out the entire story, including all the embarrassing things that happened to you in high school. He simply sat there and listened to every bit of it. It must have been the bourbon because you never would have told him all this so freely otherwise. His gaze went from concerned to angry.
“That asshole left you sitting there on purpose?” You looked up at him at the tone of his voice.
“Yeah...but I mean...it’s fine Gibbs. Really,” you said, standing up. “I should get home.” You stumbled quite a bit and Gibbs looked up at the bartender questioningly. The bartender held up three fingers and Gibbs looked back at you.
“It’s not fine. And you can’t drive.” And with that, he took your arm gently and led you to his truck, helping you in because apparently you’d forgotten how to get into a vehicle without nearly breaking your ankle.
He pulled into a driveway and you looked up, confused. Everything was slightly blurry and it was way too hard to think.
“Thissss isssn’t my house, Gibbs,” you slurred as you felt his arms wrap around you and pick you up. He walked you into the house and everything went dark.
When you woke up, you were on Gibbs’ couch with a blanket over you. A water bottle and aspirin were next to you on the table. You sat up slowly, very embarrassed as the memories flooded back to you. You glanced at the clock. It was only 10:30. A note was beside the water bottle telling you that you could shower and wear the fresh clothes that were on the counter. You took the medicine and got up, heading into the shower. The hot water felt nice and you made sure to scrub down. You felt like you still reeked of a bar. When you finished, you dried and got out, putting some shorts on and an old navy blue NIS sweatshirt. You went down to the basement, only to find Gibbs working on his boat.
“Feel better?” He asked, not looking up.
“Yeah...thanks Gibbs...listen...about everything I told you-“
“It stays with me,” he said, looking at you now, “and you didn’t deserve any of it.” You blinked, startled by his words. You opened your mouth to argue but he gave you a look and you simply nodded.
“Thanks, Gibbs.” You sat down on his bench, watching him work. Eventually he had you come over to help. Standing behind you, he took your hand with the sandpaper and showed you how to sand it properly. You could barely hear what he was saying because your eyes were trained on his hand over yours. You never realized how small your own hands looked compared to his. His voice pulled you out of your thoughts.
“Y/n?” His voice was low and soft, and right against your ear. He didn’t miss the soft shiver that ran through your body.
“Hm?” You squeaked out, turning to look at him. Gibbs apparently had other plans. He didn’t move. You were stuck between him and his boat. And you couldn’t say that you minded. His hand was next to your head as his eyes raked over you one good time. He was very calculated, studying your body language as if he expected you to push him away.
He leaned in very slowly, making your heart race with every centimeter of space he closed. You couldn’t take it anymore. You closed the gap, pressing your lips against his. They were surprisingly soft and full against your own. His free hand came up to cup your cheek and your own hands rested against his chest. His tongue slipped into your mouth, not giving you a chance to fight for dominance. He let you know early on that he was in control. A soft sound escaped your lips and you felt him smirk against your lips. His body was pressed against your own and you could feel him pressing against your upper thigh. When the kiss broke, you were both panting just slightly. His eyes were now a dark, lust filled blue and it made your knees weak.
“I think you’re gonna need another shower soon.” You groaned as he kissed you hard again.
This would be a Valentine’s that you’d never forget.

I blame @mandy426 for this one 🤭 short and sweet, I hope? Lmk ❤️
warnings: smut without plot, age gap (not specified), unprotected piv, sex against some shelves, busted during sex, dramatic!Nick
Storage Room ~ Alden Parker
"Oh, fuck princess," Alden growled in your ears, thrusting in and out of your pussy, your back against his chest. One of his hands was holding onto your hip, probably leaving bruises while the other was wrapped around your throat and squeezing just slightly. "So warm and tight for me." He nipped your earlobe, earning a loud moan from you. "Shh, baby. You don't want somebody to hear you, right?"
Your nails were digging tiny holes on the shelves, and you bit your bottom lip so hard to keep quiet. But Alden was driving you crazy. This man has ruined every other man for you from the first time he fucked you, and the quality just keeps getting better every time he's inside you, touching you, kissing you.
"Alden, shit! Don't stop!" You whispered-screamed, moving your hips to meet his thrusts.
"Never." He left sloppy kisses on your neck, his hand moving to your front so he could rub your throbbing clit. You squealed, uncontrollably cleanching your inner walls. "Oh my--fuck, baby! You're gonna make me cum if you do this again."
Alden gave a rough thrust, stopped moving as he was buried deep inside you. He's probably never been this deep before. Another sound left your lips, half from pleasure and half from pain, but wonderful pain. "No one's ever taken me this good. You were made for me, sweet girl."
Your chest was pressed against the shelves, but you tilted your head back, resting it on his shoulder. He started to move his hips again, but gentler, as he grabbed your face and brought your lips to his. The kiss was dirty and sloppy, you could taste his favorite tea flavor and it got you even more hot and bothered. You were overwhelmed by him, his taste, his scent, and his fat cock pumping in and out of you.
"I missed you so much," you whispered, locking eyes with him for a second. You instantly blushed and looked away, remembering that it's just supposed to be casual.
"Missed you more." He smiled and you returned it right before he kissed you again. Alden started to move faster again, holding you as tight as humanly possible.
You thought you heard a noise, like someone was there and stiffed immediately. "Baby? You okay?"
"Did you hear that?"
"Your sweet noises? How wet your pussy is? Sure can hear it."
Your fear of being busted disappeared just as fast as it arrived. One of your hands reached out behind, grabbing Alden's hair. "I'm so close. Can I cum inside you?"
"Fuck yeah, please! Fill me up, handsome."
This time, both you and Alden heard the box hitting the floor, and all the files scattering. You looked at where the noise came from and saw Kasie standing there frozen. No one had time to react before a voice was heard. "Kas, you alright?" And all of a sudden, Nick appeared too. He noticed the box first before looking up to see you and Alden hurrying to dress back up. Torres immediately turned around and covered Kasie's eyes - who was still frozen in place.
"Ouch!" She shouted cause Nick's gesture was too sudden to be gentle.
"Yes, ouch indeed! I'm fucking traumatized." He whined.
"Fucking? Seriously?" Kasie said.
You and Alden looked at each other to make sure you were presentable. He struggled to fix his pants as his cock wasn't completely soft yet. The embarrassment was something, but having to stop just when you were both on the verge of orgasms was extremely uncomfortable. "We're dressed." Alden told them.
"Yeah, um, doesn't matter. I don't think I can look at either of you anymore." Nick said, his back still turned. Kasie pulled his hand away but instead of looking at you or Alden, she got down to grab all the papers around the floor. Alden kissed your cheek quietly before helping Kas. "Guys, come on. Let's not make this a big deal." He said.
You walked over to Nick, and touched his shoulders. He jerked off and took a few steps forward. "Don't touch me!"
"You're being dramatic, Nicholas." You rolled your eyes. Yes, you were embarrassed that your friends saw you getting fucked against some shelves by the boss, but they were that; your friends. The people you love and trust the most in this world.
"I-- it's -- it's like --"
"Like what?"
He took a few steps closer this time and whispered, "Like you're fucking dad."
"I don't know if I should laugh and be outraged."
"You do call me daddy sometimes." Alden chimed in. The face of pure disgust on Nick made you laugh uncontrollably. You covered your mouth instantly, and your friend, the guy you love like your brother started to walk over the elevator.
"Nicholas, come back!"
"Gonna throw up and definitely not coming back." He shouted.
Alden and Kasie had gathered all the papers and put them on the nearby table. You approached your fav girl, and tried to hug her from behind. "We good, Kas?"
"I guess, but please shower before you hug me." She looked at Alden. "You too."
Alden laughed. "I like having her smell on me."
"Torres, wait for moi!" She rushed to the elevator.
You got closer to Alden, who welcomed you in his arms. "Now what?" You asked, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"We come clean to everyone." He softly kissed you.
"Yeah, but-- aren't we supposed to be--you know, casual?"
"I'll only offer you casual so you wouldn't be stuck with an old man." He pressed your forehead against yours.
"You're not an old man," you kissed his nose, "You're my old man."

(Y/N) needed a break. First, she chased a suspect for two blocks, only to have them escape. When she got back to the NCIS building, the team tried to make her feel better, but she couldn’t help feeling like everything was her fault. So she was more than grateful when Parker gave her an extra pastry from the box. Unfortunately, his sweet gesture did not make her current crush on him any easier. Second, she had to get recertified in the pepper-spraying course. And as a result, she couldn’t see anything besides the tears that constantly blurred her vision throughout the very long day. Lastly, her neighbor had her boyfriend over, so that meant sleep went out the fucking window. So when it was time for girls’ night with Jessica, Kasie, and Delilah, she could not have been more desperate for an escape.
The night was filled with laughter, gossip, and alcohol. Like, a lot of gossip and alcohol. When Kasie suggested they watch a rom-com, everyone was all for it. So that’s how they ended up on their third rom-com of the night, finished three bottles of wine and two bottles of tequila, and it wasn’t even 2 am. Everyone was going to be so hungover the next day. (Y/N) wasn’t sure if it was because she was drunk, but she could not stop daydreaming about her silver-haired team lead by the name of Alden Parker. No matter what she did, she kept picturing the different situations on screen, replaced by her boss. The way the lead male and the lead female stared into each other’s eyes the next morning after a night filled with passion and romance, sent shivers down her spine at the thought of Parker’s kind, hazel eyes staring into her own.
Jessica noticed (Y/N) daydreaming during the movies, and decided to ask her what she was thinking about. (Y/N) lied, and said the reason why she kept zoning out was she was just a little tired. But Jessica was sure there was something else that must be going on inside of her head. After their final movie, she asked (Y/N) again what was up. (Y/N) tried to lie again, but Delilah and Kasie started to get a tad bit suspicious too. At this point, they were all starting to get a little worried for (Y/N), because although she kept saying she was fine, (Y/N)’s body language and the distance in her eyes told a much different story.
When they asked a third and final time, Jessica followed up with, “Is it something about the silver hair that does it for you, (Y/N)?” All three of them watched (Y/N)’s face turn bright red, and not just from the copious amounts of alcohol. Jessica smirked at her friend’s non-verbal response, and said, “I knew it! But seriously, is it the hair?” “It’s a combination of a lot of things. He’s kind, thoughtful, smart, funny, strong, courageous. And yes, the hair definitely is a plus.” (Y/N) confessed. Kasie sat on the sofa, shocked as to how she didn’t figure it out earlier. ‘I mean, she already calls him her ‘safe haven’.’ Kasie thought. Kasie, Jessica, Delilah all promised not to say anything to anyone (especially Parker). Plus, it would break their girls night motto: what happens at girls night, stays at girls night. (Y/N) promises she’ll make a move soon, to get them to finally stop talking about it, but she just needed to figure out how.
The next Monday morning, both Jessica and Kasie kept making faces at (Y/N) whenever Parker would come around. At one point, Jessica handed (Y/N) a note that said, “Make a move, sister! Or I’ll tell him!” Neither (Y/N) nor Jessica realized that Parker was getting suspicious. He noticed the little things. Like when she rode in the back of the NCIS van with Jessica and Nick, instead of sitting up front with him, like normal. And when they got to the crime scene, she chose to take pictures of the scene, instead of interviewing the witnesses like usual. He wondered why she was so distant, especially when she kept visiting Kasie in the lab or Jimmy in autopsy. Little did he know what was said at Kasie’s place, during girls’ night.

Ballroom Dancing
Tumblr media
alden parker x reader
(Y/N) would be lying if she said she wasn’t at least a little excited to go. The whole of NCIS had been invited as a sort of “thank you for all of your hard work” to the upcoming Navy ball. She had gone dress shopping with Kasie and Jessica, and after hours of trying on, (Y/N) was starting to lose hope that she would find a dress that would make her feel good. But as the trio was walking past a display at a mall, she saw a deep navy blue, cowl-neck, satin dress. It also featured a sheer silver overlay, that looked as though it was starlight made into fabric. (Y/N) didn’t realize she had stopped walking, but let out a small laugh when she heard Kasie say, “We are not leaving this store until you try on that dress.” So try on the dress she did. And the looks on Jessica’s and Kasie’s faces when she stepped out from behind the curtain, said it all.
“Wow, just wow.” Jessica said, with her jaw almost on the floor. “Words not working.” came from Kasie, who hadn’t blinked since she saw (Y/N) step out. “Can you imagine Parker’s reaction to you in that dress?” Jessica said with a smirk, once she was able to pick her jaw up from the floor. Needless to say, (Y/N) bought the dress that very same hour. (Y/N) had also practiced curling her hair in preparation for the ball, as well as practicing walking in heels. Since tonight was the night of, everyone thought it best to just get ready at NCIS. Everyone was happy there wasn’t a case, to provide extra time to look extra good. Kasie’s ballistic chamber had been turned into a changing room, with the addition of a small curtain to provide a bit of privacy.
‘Ding!’ (Y/N) checked her phone, and saw a text from Torres, saying the team was waiting for them in the bullpen. “Ooh, alright girls, we gotta go. Everyone’s ready.” (Y/N) said, grabbing her clutch and walking to the door. When the 3 exited the back elevator, all eyes were on them, followed by multiple proclamations of ‘wow’ and a couple of whistles from Torres. Kasie and Jessica looked incredible, but (Y/N) felt just as beautiful as she looked. She immediately searched for Parker out of habit, and it took everything in her to not say ‘hot damn’ when she laid eyes on him. He was wearing a fitted tuxedo, and his suit jacket just so happened to match her dress perfectly.
(Y/N) wasn’t exactly sure what to do at these events, so she just tagged along with Kasie and Jessica to the bar in the hotel, where the ball was taking place. After a couple hours of dancing with her friends, (Y/N) sat at a vacant table nearby with a glass of champagne. She glanced at a dancing couple who looked so in love, and she started to daydream about herself and Alden dancing like that. Sure, there were cute sailors sweeping women off of their feet, but the only man (Y/N) wants to sweep her off her feet, is Alden Parker. She wondered if her feelings were as one-sided as she thinks they might be. Earlier before they left the bullpen, she felt him gently grip one of her hips, as they took a team photo to commemorate the night. Maybe it was a sign?
She didn’t have to daydream and wonder for long, as the very same silver-haired man that had captured her heart, made his way over to where she was sitting at the table. “If I’m being honest here, I don’t really know what to do at these things.” he confessed to her with a small laugh. “Neither do I, Parker, this isn’t really my scene.” (Y/N) replied. They were sitting so close, their shoulders brushed up against each other’s. Alden was trying to ignore the sparks he felt when she looked at him with a gentle smile, so he decided to make conversation by pointing out that Torres had danced with 3 different women in the span of only 2 hours.
In the middle of the conversation, the song that was playing changed to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley. “I love this song.” (Y/N) said, now softly swaying side to side. He decided in that moment to make a move on the woman he’s had a crush on since he started working at NCIS. “Would you like to dance?” he asked, holding out his hand for her to grab. “I’d love to Alden.” They made their way to the dance floor, ignoring everything else in the ballroom except each other. She melted inside when she felt his gentle touch on her waist, and his gentle touch while holding her hand. She often wondered how gentle his touch would be. Months of daydreaming about Alden, had nothing on the real thing.
They moved closer and closer to each other, so there was almost no space between the two. They had also made their way to the center of the dance floor, and neither of them had realized their friends had stopped dancing, and were now watching them like hawks. As the song went on, she thought about closing the gap between them, and it seemed he had the same idea. They were now standing so close, their chests touched, and their noses oh so softly brushed each other’s. ‘Close the gap. Just close the gap.’ (Y/N) thought over and over and over again. Alden was thinking the exact same thing, over and over and over again in his own mind. So close the gap they did. And when they reluctantly pulled apart for air, they could hear the team saying, “I knew it!”

That Peach Dress
Tumblr media
alden parker x reader
Finally, girls night. (Y/N) had been looking forward to girls night with Jessica and Kasie for the last week. She even went shopping for a new dress, just for the occasion. She tried 3 different stores before she found the dress she wanted. When she first saw it in the display window, she made a beeline for the rack where the dresses were, and found the last one in her size. She immediately tried it on, and felt like a supermodel. The dress was much shorter than she was used to wearing, but she knew she looked hot. She cringed a little when she looked at the price tag, but she did just get paid extra for overtime and hazard pay. So if this is how she wants to spend her money, then on an expensive dress it shall be.
Last weekend they were supposed to go out, but Kasie canceled last minute, and halfway through, Jessica got food poisoning. (Y/N) stayed with Jessica to make sure she was okay, and Jessica felt so bad for ruining the night. (Y/N) was a smidge disappointed in the direction the night went, but (Y/N) ultimately wanted to make sure her friend was okay. So this girls night, everyone was ready and excited. (Y/N) had styled her hair into a high ponytail and curled the bottom section of her hair. She kept her makeup relatively simple, with a winged liner, some bronzer, and a nude lip. The finishing touches to her look was a diamond choker Kasie had given her as a gift, and silver heels.
Jessica had texted her saying her and Kasie were on their way. She couldn’t wait for the night to begin. But unfortunately, crime never stops, not even on a girls night. ‘Ding dong!’ (Y/N)’s doorbell sounded off, and thinking it was the girls, she said, “Damn bitch, you got here fast!” But when she opened the door, it was not the girls, it was Alden Parker. Her boss, and the man she had been in love with since he took over from Gibbs as team lead. (Y/N) instantly froze, and so did Parker. Never in a million years did he think he would see her dressed in something so provocative, yet there she was standing at her door, with eyes as wide as can be. “What’s up?” (Y/N) barely managed to squeak out. “We got a case. I thought I’d save some time and pick you up on the way there.” Parker replied, trying not to make it obvious that he really liked the outfit she was wearing.
“Sounds good, um, let me just change and I’ll be back in a minute.” (Y/N) said, swiftly making her way back to her bedroom to change, and trying to avoid eye contact with Parker. While she changed clothes into something a little more work-appropriate, she also texted Kasie and Jessica to let them know girls night was canceled. When she emerged from her bedroom, she could barely make eye contact with Parker. Needless to say, the drive to the crime scene was quiet, as well as the banter between the two, which was not the norm. The first thing that Torres said when he saw (Y/N) was, “Damn, (Y/N), you look hot!” “Thanks, Nick.” (Y/N) replied, trying to pretend like the last 35 minutes didn’t happen. What (Y/N) failed to notice when she was walking to ask Jimmy what he had found, was the jealous look in Parker’s eyes when Torres had commented on (Y/N)’s outfit.
The outfit (Y/N) had changed into was a pair of black jeans, black boots, and a black denim jacket. She made the dress into a shirt by tucking the extremely short hem into her jeans. Kasie and Jessica had said something along the lines of, “Damn, look at you, (Y/N)! You look hot!” mirroring what Torres had said earlier that night. Parker couldn’t stop staring at (Y/N), no matter how hard he tried. He kept thinking about the way she looked in that peach dress. How tight and figure-hugging it was. How the cowl neck made her cleavage look even more inviting than normal. How the hem of the dress made her legs look a mile long. God, he couldn’t stop thinking about her legs. How smooth and silky they looked.
He was able to keep it together for the rest of the night (somehow), and by morning, (Y/N) was able to make eye contact with him again. (Y/N) decided at one point to go up to him and explain why she was dressed like that. “Sorry you had to see me like that, Parker. It was supposed to be girls night, but then you came to the door, and everything happened.” “No! Um, it’s okay. I gathered that’s why you had on that dress, and you don’t have to explain anything to me.” Parker replied, still blushing at the thought of how damn fine she looked in the dress. “Thanks Parker, I appreciate it.” (Y/N) said. “Alden, call me Alden.”

Beach day, finally. (Y/N) had been looking forward to that day for a long while. It wasn’t a usual beach day all by her lonesome, it was a beach day with friends. Kasie, Jessica, Delilah, and (Y/N) had finally been able to hang out outside of work. At first they threw some different ideas around like brunch, farmer’s market, and Vegas even made its way onto the list from Kasie. They ultimately decided on a beach trip, when (Y/N) had said she hadn’t been to the beach in ages and was looking forward to going sometime. (Y/N) picked everyone up and they headed to the beach for a day of fun and relaxation.
When they got to the beach, they did all the tourist-y things, like going to different shops, eating overpriced ice cream, and taking photos to later post on Instagram. Then, they went to shore to pick out a spot that wasn’t too close to the water, and was far enough away from everyone else. They spent the next several minutes people-watching and talking about anything and everything. Kasie suggested they get in the water before it got too busy, and they spent the next hour or two in the water, while Delilah stayed behind to soak up the vitamin D from the sun’s rays.
After they came back from the waves, everyone was a tad peckish, so they ate from the many different snacks (Y/N) packed. (Y/N) wasn’t sure when the conversation switched from normal agency gossip to their love lives. “So, (Y/N), anyone catching your eye?” Delilah asked playfully. Before she had a chance to say anything, Jessica butted in and said, “Oh yeah, our team lead. Alden Parker.” (Y/N)’s cheeks went scarlet. She thought she was discreet about her crush, but nope. (Y/N) did work with experienced investigators, so if Jessica noticed, that probably means others did too.
“Yeah, it’s true…” (Y/N) shyly responded. “He’s kind, funny, smart, brave, loyal, and pretty easy on the eyes too. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t date for looks, but it’s an added bonus.” (Y/N) said, trying to ignore the smirk on Jessica’s face, and the smiles growing on Kasie and Delilah’s faces. “It’s something about the silver hair that does it for you, (Y/N), huh?” Jessica said playfully. “Maybe a little. It adds to the look.” (Y/N) laughed back. “I think it’s cute you have a crush on him, (Y/N). Now I’ve never met him, but from what Tim’s told me, and from what I’ve heard today, he sounds like a great guy.” Delilah said, giving (Y/N)’s hand a slight squeeze.
“Thanks, I just wish he felt the same…” (Y/N) trailed off sadly. “He does.” Jessica replied. “Sure he does.” (Y/N) said sarcastically. “No, I mean it, (Y/N). He does.” Jessica said. “It’s true. Jessica’s right, (Y/N). I’ve seen the way he looks at you, he does.” added Kasie. “You haven’t noticed him flirting with you? Those glances across the room? How close he stands next to you?” Jessica said. (Y/N) shook her head. “He really does?” (Y/N) replied, surprised by their statements. “Yeah, he really does, (Y/N).” Jessica replied, giving (Y/N) an encouraging smile. "You should ask him to dinner. He'll say yes." Delilah said encouragingly. All weekend long, all (Y/N) could think about was Alden, what they told her, and if Delilah's advice.
When (Y/N) showed up for work, she found a cup of coffee on her desk. She knew it was from Alden. ‘Maybe they’re right.’ (Y/N) thought when she saw the coffee. She quickly dismissed the thought when she saw Tim and Nick walking into the bullpen. “Hey, (Y/N), how was your weekend? Delilah said you guys had fun.” Tim said. “It was fun. We went to the beach and just had a girls day.” (Y/N) replied, trying not to blush at the thought of what was discussed at the beach. Alden was sitting at his desk, trying to get a headstart on the paperwork that needed to be done. He tried not to think of (Y/N) at the beach. He tried not to think of what she was wearing or if she had any tan lines anywhere. His thoughts were interrupted when (Y/N) called his name and asked him if he had a good weekend. “I did, (Y/N). Thanks for asking.”
The rest of the day was filled with mostly silence and the odd joke thrown about the bullpen. (Y/N) tried not to think about the man sitting directly across from her and how damn fine he looked in navy blue. She wondered if she should make a move, finally asking him if he wanted to go to dinner sometime. Right as the day was coming to an end, (Y/N) decided to take the girls’ advice, and ask him to dinner. When she stood up to walk to Alden’s desk, he called out her name and asked if they could talk for a second. ‘Great job, Alden. Give her a heart attack by asking to talk.’ He thought. “I was wondering if you wanted to go to dinner with me sometime?”
(Y/N) didn’t respond for a moment, as she was too stunned to reply. The man of her desires just asked her to dinner. It was really happening. “Sorry if I’ve just misread the entire situation. I didn’t mean to-” “Yes! I’d love to go to dinner with you Alden.” (Y/N) replied, enthusiastically. “I just thought you weren’t into me like that.” (Y/N) said. “Of course I am. You’re kind, funny, smart, beautiful, and a damn good agent. I’ve wanted to ask you for a while. I just didn’t know how you’d respond.” Alden said, reaching for her hand. When their hands met, they instantly felt sparks. “I was actually about to ask you the same question, Alden.” (Y/N) confessed. “Really?” Alden replied, stunned that the woman of his desires feels the same.
“Does tomorrow work for you, (Y/N)?” “Absolutely, Alden.” He loved hearing her use his first name, instead of just “Parker”. He walked her to her car, and kissed her cheek. “Goodnight, (Y/N).” Alden said, looking forward to tomorrow night. “Goodnight, Alden.” (Y/N) replied, with sparks still surging through her body. ‘God, he’s such a gentleman.’ (Y/N) thought. (Y/N) dreamt of Alden Parker, and Alden Parker dreamt of her.

Doubts ~ Alden Parker 2/2
Summary: Alden Parker reconnects with his first love and it gets him all confused  Pairing: Alden Parker x Fem!Reader Words count: 5.5k Warnings: age gap relationship, pregnancy talk, mention of dissociation Author's note: it's been a while since I wrote for Alden and I definitely didn't expect for it to be this long, nor take this way either but here we are. I'm giving myself to opportunity to write sequel fics with that ending, cause you never know. I hope you're enjoying it <3 love!
Around lunch time, he received a text from Jeremy.
‘Wanna come over with your lady tonight?’ He didn’t answer immediately because he didn’t know.
A couple hours later, it was your turn to text him.
‘Jer is inviting us for dinner tonight. I’m down! You?’
He can leave Jeremy on read but he can’t do it to you.
‘Not sure, day’s a mess.’
More like his head is a mess.
‘Is it okay if I go anyway? You can join if you leave work early enough.’
‘Of course, go! I’ll keep you posted.’
‘Works. Love you, Superman! ❤️’
‘Love you too’
“You look miserable, Parker.” Nick Torres informed him as he grabbed a pastry still sitting on Aldens desk.
“Thanks, Torres?”
“I bet it’s past days haven't been easy for you. When are we going to meet the future Mrs Parker?”
“Don’t know. We got some stuff planned already.”
“You know she can just stop by.” Jess chimed in.
“Been there, done that. Nope.”
“Alden” it was Tim’s turn to join, “We’re not jerks from the FBI, you know?”
“I don’t worry about you guys. But—“ his hand gesture showed off the entire headquarters, meaning everyone else.
“I know what’s going on!” Jess interjected, earning puzzled looks from her coworkers. “You’re gatekeeping her.”
“Gatekeeping?”
“Kasie told me how pretty she is. And she’s younger than you.”
“We established that.”
“You are afraid someone in here, in her age rank, will try to swoop her away from you.”
Alden let out a humorless laugh. “Trust me, Jess, I’ve seen many people try and fail. Right in front of me. I’m not worried about that.”
“Or maybe she’s just good at hiding it.” Nick grinned at his team leader.
“Torres, shut up.”
“Gatekeeping.” Jess said, again. And Tim and Nick repeated it as agreements.
Alden Parker wasn’t sure what drove him to Joy’s house once again. He didn’t even know why he drove for two hours before going there, just to get her favorite pastries from when they were kids. The case is done, and he should put this behind him like it’s been all of those years. But when she opened the door and welcomed him inside, he smiled.
They settled at the table with coffee and pastries, and started to talk. It was about the case this time, it was about them. Their past, what happened, how they felt. What their lives became from there. He learned that his ex wife Vivian visited Joy after their divorce because she “wanted to see the woman she fought against through the entire marriage.”
“That’s very stupid.” He said “And I’m sorry she actually came to see you.”
“It’s okay, at least I knew about how your life turned out. But it was fifteen years ago. What happened after that?”
You. He met you several years after his divorce, but that was the only answer he wanted to give. You happened, and you made his life a thousand times better.
“I'm getting married in two months.”
“Oh! I didn’t—well, congratulations, Park. Kids? Stepkids perhaps?”
“No and no.”
“Do you regret not having kids?”
Alden rubbed his face before answering. “I’m sorry, maybe you don’t want to talk about—“
“She’s younger than me. Young enough to get pregnant, so—“
“Okay, back up. When you say younger than you—?”
“Ryan’s age.”
“You kidding me right now?”
He shook his head no.
“Park, what the hell! Are you seriously getting married to a girl who could be your daughter?”
“Please, don’t, Joy. I’ve had this conversation too many times, I’m not having it with you.”
“I’m sorry, but it’s—“
“Wrong? Bad? Sick? Perverted? Trust me, I heard it all.”
“No, I was just going to say that—it’s too bad.” He looked up to her. “I was hoping you were single.”
He felt her hand on top of his. He knew he should’ve moved his hand away. He should’ve told her to back off, tell her that he wasn’t, and he was very happy about his life and upcoming wedding. But he let her. He let her intertwine her fingers with his. He even squeezed and she softly smiled. She got closer to him, and he didn’t move away. He saw her face approaching his, and he stayed there. Her lips touched his and he didn’t pull away.
When his phone buzzed, he basically jumped from his seat, stepping away from Joy. Confused and lost, he grabbed his phone and saw that Jeremy was calling. He cleared his throat before answering.
“Hey pal.” He tried to sound casual.
“Uncle Alden! Where are you? Are you coming?” Eli.
“Buddy, hey! I’m still at work, but I’m coming soon, okay? I hope you didn’t start eating without me?”
“No but hurry, you’re gonna miss the beginning of the game!”
“I’m on my way! I’m hurrying up!”
“Okay! But auntie said "drive safe.””
“Always.”
Joy was sitting at the table again. “My godson.”
“And he’s waiting for you, from what I understood.”
“Yeah, dinner and a baseball game.”
He grabbed his coat to put it on.
“Is she his godmother?”
“No, Eli was five when I met her. But I really don’t want to talk about her with you, Joy. That kiss shouldn’t have happened.” He started to walk towards the door.
“But it did and you didn’t fight. Not even for a second.”
And he hated that. He hated himself.
He opened the door.
“Maybe that wedding shouldn’t happen.” She said.
He closed the door.
It was probably one of the worst drive of his life. How could he let this happen? How could he do this to you? He never faulted when he was married to Vivian, or any other relationships, but he did it with you. You’re the most amazing thing that ever happened to him, the most precious person he could ever meet, and he betrayed you. And the worst part of this? He wasn’t sure it wouldn’t happen again. Because catching up with Joy does something to him. It makes him feel things he thought long gone. He makes him wonder a lot of things, and pretty much puts his whole life into perspective. What if he changed earlier and her parents didn’t move away? What if she answered his letters? What if life hadn’t separated them?
What if…
What if it was their second chance?
Alden knocked at the door and let himself in as usual. Eli came running to hug his godfather. Jeremy’s wife greeted him with a hug, the men greeted each other with their handshake, and his eyes laid down on you. You stood up from the couch with a soft smile. But he knows you well. He knows there’s sadness behind this smile. You probably could feel his internal struggle and was worried about it. But you were trying to hide it. “Hey you.” You whispered.
To your surprise, Alden pulled you into a hug before kissing your forehead and then your lips. It was brief, but nice.
You all settled in the living room, as the game was about to start. Jeremy’s wife had prepared some toasts and snacks to pick, and she served a beer to Alden. Eli was sitting next to his godfather, wearing his Cubs hat and you were on Alden’s other side. The game started, the conversations went from what you were watching to catching up with one another. Your fiancé and Jeremy talked about work here and there. You and his wife talked about the wedding, and she showed you some stuff she saw online. Lots of DIY.
“Let me just say it. Sweetie, my lovely wife here is just waiting for you to ask to do all those things for the wedding.” Jeremy said.
“Jer!!” His wife interjected.
“Do you really want to do all of this for us?” You asked her.
“Kinda. I mean, I love weddings and I didn’t get to plan ours cause I was very much pregnant. But yeah, I’d love to. If it’s okay with you of course.”
“Of course! I mean I’m good with planning, but decorations, ambiance, that’s not my strong suit.”
“Don’t worry about that then. I’m handling it.”
You hugged her and looked at Alden. He was physically there, but his mind was far away. You could tell.
“Den, you good with Becky taking care of the decor?”
“Yeah, sure. Of course.” He forced a smile. “Thank you Beck’s.”
You spent the rest of the game looking at your fiancé who was clearly avoiding your eyes, or actually you altogether. He was focusing on the game with Eli, shouting at the TV here and there. Becky made small talk with you and you answered, doing your best to hide how you were really feeling. At half time, Jeremy invited Alden to the backyard. “You good, man?”
“Yes, just tired. Long week.”
“Meeting again with your first love.”
Alden didn’t take the slug he was about to. He stopped, staring at his best friend.
“She told you?”
“Of course. She’s worried, Alden.” Jeremy waited for Alden to say something but he just stared at his beer. “Is she right to be worried?”
He looked up to his best friend but this time, he had tears in his eyes. Still unable to say anything, he just shook his head. Not as “no”, but as defeat. He was lost, and lost for words. Jeremy wheeled closer. “Did something happen?” He whispered.
“We kissed.”
“Alden.”
“I know, Jer. I’m—horrible. Doing this to her? I hate myself for it, I would kick my own ass if I could.”
“Look. If it was just a kiss, I’m sure she can get past it. She’ll give you hell for it though.”
Alden stayed silent again.
“Was it more than a kiss?”
“No, no! Just that. But—“
Jeremy was starting to understand.
“Parker, don’t tell me you’re questioning everything right now?”
“I’m lost, Jer. I love Y/N so much, she’s my world. But I can’t shake the feeling that— Joy reappeared for a reason. You know?”
“And that reason was her stupid ass son.”
“He’s a good kid.”
“Don’t. I’m not going to support this bullshit, Alden.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means—if you end it with Y/N to get back to Joy, you’re making the biggest mistake of your life. You’ll regret it faster than you can imagine and believe me, I’ll be right here to say “I told you so””
“Thanks for your support, friend.”
“You’re my brother and I love you, and it’s my job to tell you when you’re being the biggest idiot.”
Alden drank the rest of his beer in one swallow. Jeremy wasn’t moving. He was waiting for his best friend to come to his senses.
“Will you take care of her?” Alden asked.
“What?”
“If I— make the biggest mistake of my life. Will you take care of her?”
Jeremy only saw Alden crying twice. After the accident, and at this very moment. He seemed heartbroken and genuinely torn apart by what he was feeling. Jer wanted to shake him off, but realized there was no point.
“Yes. We will.” He reassured him.
Inside the house, you were playing on your phone with Eli. When the commercials were over, he stood up to get his dad and goddad but came back quickly without them. “Auntie. Uncle Den is crying!”
“What? Are you sure?”
He nodded so you rushed to the backyard. Eli was right. Alden was crying. You immediately kneeled down in front of him, and grabbed his face. “Alden baby, what’s wrong? What’s happening?”
He loosely wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in your neck. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. You looked at Jeremy for some answers but he avoided your eyes.
“Sorry for that? Alden, look at me. Talk to me.”
“Please forgive me.”
“Forgive you what? What do you want me to forgive you for?”
You tried to grab his face to make him look at you but he fought off and kept his head in your neck.
“Joy.” You simply said.
Alden didn’t answer but he held you tighter. As if he knew you were about to pull away from him. Jeremy was still avoiding your eyes.
“Did you sleep with her?”
You were getting angry at his avoidance. You shouted his name, so he would stop hiding in your neck and holding you so tight you couldn’t escape. “Answer the goddamn question. And fucking let go of me.”
His hold loosened a little, and his face rose up. He looked pitiful. “Did you sleep with her?” You repeated, sharper this time.
“We kissed.” He whispered, avoiding your eyes.
You didn’t react immediately, just took some sharp deep breaths. He kissed her. He kissed someone else. It was breaking your heart, but at the same time, maybe it was better than him sleeping with her like you thought. You could get over a kiss, right? You could forgive him for being lost for a moment.
“Was that all?” You asked, afraid of the answer.
He nodded, but kept avoiding your eyes.
“Fucking look at me, Alden.”
He did. Slowly. You were mad at him, hurt and felt betrayed. But you loved him beyond words, and most importantly, you didn’t want to lose him over a kiss.
“I’m sorry.” He said. “I’m lost.”
“What do you mean, you’re lost?”
Alden was nervously rubbing his hands and he looked down at his feet again. You grabbed his chin, forcing him to look you in the eyes. “Stop stalling.” You were getting angrier and angrier.
“I just–I don’t know what to say, sweetheart. I’m sorry for the kiss, for doing this to you. I hate myself for it.” He gently grabbed your hand that was still on his face and covered it with both his hands. “But I– I don’t know what I want anymore.”
You instantly took your hand off his despite the grip he had on it and you leaned back. Away from him. The tears that had been frightening to fall were now rolling down your cheeks.
“You don’t know if– you want to be with me or with her?” You sum up.
“Baby, I–”
“You’re telling me that– you’re ready to throw everything away. The past two years we’ve had together, our upcoming wedding, projects we have– for an ex, that you hadn’t seen in forty fucking years? That’s what you’re saying, Alden? You saw her only days ago, but you’re willing to risk losing me over her?” You didn’t know how you manage to say all of this despite feeling your throat closing in. You were choking up, but you needed to understand. You needed him to speak up, no matter how bad it could hurt.
“I just need some time.”
At this moment, you stood up so fast your head spinned for a second. Or maybe it was the shock of what was happening.
“Time? You need time?” You started to move like a lion in a cage, fighting off your tears as much as you could. Alden stayed seated, looking down at his shoes again. “Look at me you fucking coward.”
You knew this word would get a reaction out of him. He stood up too, grabbed your face to make you stop moving.
“I love you.” he choked up. “But I need closure.”
Those words broke your heart. You knew what it meant.
You pulled your face off his grip, looked down at your engagement ring for a moment before taking it off and putting it in his palm. “Go for it.”
You walked past Jeremy, Becky and Eli - who didn’t understand what exactly was going -, grabbed your stuff and left.
~
It’s been a week.
A week since you last saw Alden, a week since he broke your heart into thousands of pieces. A week since you walked home and trashed his greenhouse, because you couldn’t control yourself nor your pain. You knew it wasn’t a way to react, that it was impulsive, but when you got home to get some stuff, you looked around in tears. You saw pictures framed of the two. You didn’t mean to throw it on the floor at first but as you held it, you got madder at his face. His smile. You couldn’t hit him, but you could destroy that picture. From this, you completely dissociated, walked into the greenhouse and broke everything. Throwing the pots on the floor, ripping his flowers, destroying his expensive telescope. In retrospect, you’re mad at yourself for doing all of this, and even considered apologizing to him via text. But you never brought yourself to do it. Not even when he texted to check up on you or tried to call.
You considered going over to Tay’s house, but decided against it and found a hotel to stay in. You didn’t want to see anyone, face anyone. You couldn’t face reality. For an entire week, you stayed in, barely ate, only texted Tay and Jeremy to let them know that you were indeed alive. But that was it.
Alden has been miserable through the entire week. Barely slept or ate, he wasn’t even bringing pastries to his team anymore. He met with Joy a couple of times but it didn’t feel right. He didn’t push her away when she kissed him, but stopped her when she wanted more. She said she understood it wasn’t easy for him, that she’d give him time to process the breakup, but the next minute, she was all over him. This wasn’t going the way he imagined. He was more lost than a week prior, because living without you felt impossible. He knew he couldn’t have it both ways, that he needed to make up his mind and stick to it. But all he’s been wanting to do was seeing you and holding you.
He remembers coming home after that night at Jeremy’s and finding the pictures framed all over the floor and the greenhouse completely trashed. He deserved it. He spent hours cleaning, saving what could be saved. He tried to repair his telescope, even asked Tim for some help but his younger coworker told him he may as well buy a new one.
The team was worried about their leader and they were thinking about interfering. They didn’t know exactly what had happened, but they were investigators so they figured out the big lines.
“No pastries today?” Nick asked Jess and Tim as he walked into the bullpen. He saw Parker’s coat on the back of his chair so he knew the senior agent was already in.
“Nope. And he’s in a mood.”
“Did you find his fiancée?” He asked Tim.
“I didn’t like doing it, but yeah, she registered in a hotel last weekend. Been there since.”
“So they are officially broken up?” Jess joined.
“Looks like it.”
“Boy, I hope he’s not seeing this Joy woman.”
Of course, this was the sentence Alden heard as he came back from accounting. “Gossiping about my love life? Seriously, don’t you have anything better to do?”
“We’re just worried about you, Parker.” Nick told him.
“I don’t need you to worry about me! I don’t need you to figure out where Y/N cause I already know! And I most definitely don’t need you to do something about it! Are we clear?”
“Yes, sir.” They all agreed.
He stayed a long time at the office after everyone was gone. He didn’t want to go home to an empty apartment. It still smelled too much like you, your presence was overwhelming as all your stuff was still there. Not that he wanted you to come get them.
It was the middle of the night when he got back to the apartment. And when he heard noises coming from the bedroom, he immediately reached for his gun and slowly walked towards the noises. “Federal Agent!” He called out. “Come out with your hands in the air!”
As he was about to reach the door, it opened to you. You were completely unbothered by his gun pointing at you, just walked past him to go to the bathroom. But you were stopped by his hand grabbing your wrist. He whispered your name, shocked to see you here. “Wh–What are you doing here? How are you?”
“I live here.” You just answered. “You want me gone? Then throw me out.” You tried to keep walking to the bathroom but Alden didn’t let go of your hand.
“No, no! I don’t want you gone! I–I’m not throwing you out. Wasn’t in the first place. I’m just–I didn’t expect to see you here. You’ve been ghosting me.”
“Oh and that surprised you?”
“I guess not, I just– I didn’t want things to happen the way it did.”
“Look Alden, I’m about to pee myself here. So let me tell you why I’m here. I’m not going to make this easy on you. You want to see her? Fine. But you’re not doing it here. You’re stuck between me and her? Too bad, I’m not leaving my spot. Also, you’re making all the calls for the wedding. You’ll call the guests, the caterer, the venue, the minister and tell them you’re canceling it. You should deal with the consequences and I’ll make sure that you do.”
You pulled your hand away and he let go. You really needed to pee. And when you got out of the bathroom, he was still there. Leaning against the wall, jacket off and gun pulled away. He looked miserable. But it was all his fault.
“I’m not seeing her.” He informed you. “I just said I needed time.”
“So what? I should’ve stayed here, and waited until you may or may break up with me? Sit here and wonder if you’re coming home late because you’re with her?”
“Isn’t that what's gonna happen now that you’re here?”
You let a humorless laugh. “You didn’t get it. I’m here because this is my home. My name is on the lease, I pay half of the rent, my whole life is in here. I’m not giving that up, whether or not we’re broken up. And if that causes you trouble, then perfect.”
“So, we’re like what? Roommates?”
“If you want to put a label on it. You ruined my heart, Alden and I’m letting you ruin my whole life.”
“I never asked you to leave, Y/N!” His voice rose up, as he was getting angry. “I never wanted you out of my life! I didn’t even want to cancel the wedding, okay? All I needed was to figure things out!”
“But it wasn’t figuring out what suit you’re going to wear! It’s figuring out if you want to be with me or with her! Do you honestly think I would marry someone if I’m wondering if he really wants me?”
“Wait–” he stayed silent for a second, taking a deep breath. “Are you saying that–if I tell you I still want to marry you in two months, you wouldn’t want to?”
“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life wondering if you’re still thinking about her.” You didn’t know why but your voice got softer at this moment.
His eyes started to watered. “I kinda feel like you’re actually breaking up with me, right now.”
You silently cried for a moment. “You broke my heart, Alden.” you whispered. “I felt betrayed and rejected, like I’ve felt my entire life until I met you.”
Alden fell down against the wall until his butt hit the floor. He was silently crying, hating myself even more. “Then–Why are you here?” He struggled to ask.
You kneeled in front of him. “Because I’m pregnant.”
Alden’s brain froze for a very long moment. Did he hear you right? or was he hallucinating? Was it a dream? Were you really pregnant? With his baby? He stared a blind spot for several minutes, but finally looked back at you. He wanted to smile. Despite the horrible circumstances, despite how you got to this point. You were pregnant. You were carrying his baby. Silently, he extended his arms, tentatively trying to touch your stomach. But you stopped him. “Don’t just yet.” It hurt you more than you could’ve imagined to say those following words, “I’m considering abortion.”
His brain froze again for a moment.
“Wait, what? No!” He got on his knees. “Princess! No. I know it’s your body, but I probably shouldn’t be doing this but please, let’s talk about this. You’re pregnant.” More tears fell down his cheeks, but it wasn’t sadness. “You’re carrying our baby.”
“Alden—“ you choked up. “Don’t make this harder than it already is, please.”
“I can’t let you have abortion without talking it through. I can’t.”
“I said I was considering it.” This time, he managed to hear his hands on your stomach and you didn’t pull away. You were ugly crying by now. “That’s not how I imagined this would go. It should’ve been the most amazing news of our lives, but now—it feels wrong.”
“Wrong? That’s the furthest thing from wrong.” He gently held your face. “It’s far from ideal, it’s—messy if you want to put it that way. But we can figure it out. We can make it work, one way or another.”
“I don’t want to do the coparenting thing, Den. I want to raise my baby with its father, my husband.”
“And I want to kiss you right now.” He whispered.
“Please don’t. Don’t choose me because I’m pregnant. I could never be happy with that.”
“I understand. Really, I get it.” Silence filled the room again, except for sniffing and deep breaths coming from both you and Alden. “How about we get up now and sleep on it? You can take the master bedroom.”
You followed his lead and stood up. “Did you really think I’d sleep in the guest room?”
He chuckled softly. “Of course not. I just need my shorts and phone charger.”
Neither of you slept.
You didn’t want to tell him about the pregnancy just yet, nor like that. You wanted to wait a little and see how things were, see if being around him could help you make a decision. But he knows now, and it may have been easier if he said he didn’t want this baby.
But Alden wanted this baby. He’s never been this close to being a dad. No woman has ever been pregnant with his baby. And the fact that it’s you—he wants to erase those past two weeks. Erase his doubts, erase his behavior, erase the hurt and pain he caused you. He never doubted his love for you, though. He knows what happened in his mind, he’s known before tonight. Maybe he should just face it and admit it to you.
You woke up in the morning to the smell of food. Your favorite breakfast food and it both made you hungry and nauseous. You rushed to the bathroom as soon as your eyes opened, and Alden immediately joined you as he saw you running. He kneeled down next to you, holding your hair as your morning sickness hit. He gently rubbed your back. Once you were done, you sat on the floor against the wall. “I’ll get you water.”
“No. Give me my toothbrush first.”
He stood up, grabbed your toothbrush that you left there (you only packed a few clothes the week prior and bought the rest), added some toothpaste on it and handed it to you. You brushed your teeth while staying on the floor.
“Do you want me to carry you to the couch?”
“I’m pregnant, Alden, not invalide.”
You walked to the kitchen with your baby daddy on your toes.
“I cooked but I don’t know if you’re gonna be able to eat. Or maybe you want something else? Any cravings?”
You sat at the kitchen island and buried your face in your hands. “Alden, stop. Don’t act like your usual loving and caring self.”
“Ooookay. What am I supposed to do then?”
“I don’t know.”
He put a big glass of water in front of you and sat on the stool next to yours. He made you spin so you were facing each other. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
You took a deep breath, “I’m listening.”
“I always knew I’d come back to you.”
“What?”
“I needed closure with Joy. Subconsciously, I was hoping you’d let me—“
“Do your thing with her and wait patiently until you come back?”
He sighed. “It’s horrible, I know. It was selfish and wrong, and just plainly— jerk behavior.”
“I’d say asshole. Dumbass. Dickhead.”
He sadly chuckled. “Whatever word you want to use, they are all valid.”
“Basically, you wanted me to give you a pass on this.”
“Something like that, yeah.”
“When did you reach that conclusion?”
“A few days ago. I ran into Max and his mom, and poor little guy was so upset at us—“
“Oh my god! His game!”
“Yeah. We missed it. And I tried to explain to him that we had some issues, and after he stopped pouting, he actually listened. I told him I’ve had a problem in the greenhouse and that I’d loved his help to get it back the way it was. And I guess from what I told him, he understood that you were temporarily away. And he told me, “We have to make the apartment spot clean for when Y/N comes back.” From there, my mind—“
Alden watched you as you stood up and went to get something from the closet. Then you walked towards the front door with a gift in your hands. “Where are you going?”
“Apologize!”
He didn’t move until you came back, which wasn’t long after and the gift was still in your hands. “They are not home, I’ll try again later.”
“He’s not mad at us, I made sure of it.”
“I know, but we promised we’d be there. And we didn’t show up, he probably felt so sad.”
Your emotions overwhelmed you and you started to cry there, sitting on the couch. Alden sat next to you, hesitating for a moment before hugging you. You didn’t push him away. “He still loves us.” He assured you.
“I still love you but it doesn’t make it okay.”
You regretted saying it as soon as it left your mouth, but Alden uncontrollably smiled. Silver lighting.
You let Alden hold you for a moment, because it felt nice on some levels. You still couldn’t believe what he put you through though. “We were doing so good.” You whispered.
“I know. I’m not even sure I understand myself.”
You stayed silent once more.
“So, you didn’t—sleep with her?”
“No.”
“Well—maybe you should.”
“Wait, what?” Alden shifted, clearly taken off guard. He gently grabbed your chin to make you face him. “Are you seriously telling me to sleep with someone else?”
“Yes.” You said with eyes full of tears. “Maybe that way you can totally put it behind you.”
“That’s—crazy. Absolutely crazy.” He moved down to his knees. “I couldn’t go that far, princess. I did see her and we—made out, if we can call it that. But it felt wrong, so wrong. I wasn’t kissing the right person. When she was touching me, I kept thinking that only you can touch me. Only you know how to touch me. My entire world felt out of place. I think the sixteen years old in me wanted it, but fuck I’m not sixteen anymore. I’m a stupid old man, who’s so in love with a woman too young for him. A woman who definitely deserves better, because she’s the most amazing person I’ve ever met and I failed her.” He held your face in his big soft hands, and pressed his forehead against yours. “I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, if you let me.” He kissed your nose. “I’ll make sure our little one knows how precious their mama is and that we are the luckiest.” You were both crying. “Please.” He added.
“You know those Moroccan pastries we had in a little shop in New York?”
“Sure. Kaab al ghzal.” He said in his best accent possible.
“I’m craving them.”
He chuckled softly. “Then I guess I’m going to New York.”
“Actually, I, um—there’s this new musical on Broadway—“
“Then I guess we are going to New York.”
“Two different bedrooms, Alden. Connecting at best.”
“I can deal with that. What else?”
“Your treat.”
“Obviously. That it?”
“You leave your phone here.”
Dilemma. He wouldn’t do it in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for his work. He’s technically off for the weekend, but being a Federal Agent comes with a lot of inconvenience, and being called at any time any day is one of them. But he saw in your eyes how serious you were. It wasn’t about his work, which is something you’ve always understood and were mostly okay with. It was about him showing you he meant every word he said.
“Let me just inform the team.”
