The Israeli media is reporting the deaths of 21 occupation soldiers involved in the invasion of the Gaza Strip after Resistance forces fired a rocket into building being occupied by the soldiers as part of operations in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to reports, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) were in the process of rigging several buildings in the south of Gaza, close to the border with the colonial Israeli settlement of Kissufim, using demolition explosives, when Resistance forces fired an RPG into the building, resulting the building's collapse onto the soldiers inside.

The Israeli occupation authorities released the names of the soldiers killed in the operation.

Ad campaign and search efforts intensify for missing girl Haymanot Kasau - Israel News - The Jerusalem Post

The Aliyah and Integration Ministry and the Jewish Agency for Israel has launched an ad campaign that offers a prize for anyone who provides information about the whereabouts of Haymanot Kasau, a 10-year-old girl from Safed who has been missing for five months.

The campaign began earlier this month. Next Monday, August 5, the Israel Police plans to conduct a massive search for the missing child. Mounted police units and police dogs will participate in the search, alongside IDF trackers and staff members of other entities, such as United Hatzalah, according to Avi Yalew, who works with the family.

Kasau, who immigrated with her family from Ethiopia to Israel and lived in the absorption center in Safed, was last seen in February, when security footage showed her at the entrance of the absorption center, wearing a pink sweatshirt, a black skirt, and white sneakers.

Campaign announces reward 

The ad campaign is meant to raise awareness and remind the public that she is still missing. It offers a NIS 350,000 prize for anyone who provides information that leads to finding her.

“We cannot give up. Haymanot needs us!” reads the ad, which calls on the public to not stand by but to “join efforts to find her.”

“Any information, and details, could lead to the breakthrough we want,” the ad says.

A private investigation firm joined efforts to find the child last month, Yalew said.

Everyone knows about the group of girls with magic. They have a duty to protect the innocent and defeat the forces of darkness that try to invade our world. They are pretty, popular, and powerful. Their sidekicks are the creatures that found them and granted their abilities. This is common knowledge.

What isn't common knowledge is that I was chosen a month ago by an aquatic fox spirit called Kasau. It's not an uncommon occurrence for people to be chosen, but usually they're teenagers or young adults. Not me.

I'm 36.

I'm also a man.

It is impossible for a man to be chosen by a spirit to become part of an elite team of girls. I haven't told my wife either, because she would worry. At first I wondered if Kasau had touched the wrong person, perhaps after one of my kids.

But my wife and I both wanted boys and adopted them so easily. They matched with us perfectly. They're absolutely precious to me. My two sons.

I've been researching this to try and understand why I was chosen instead of someone more qualified, someone who meets even one of the requirements for these powers. I have found none.

I asked the fox spirit, but she simply said that there are no mistakes. There was only one place to go, and that was to the group themselves. I followed them on social media for a while before asking my question.

I received a reply almost immediately. From the leader of the group, Hailey. She wanted to meet me, which I refused. I told her about how there must be a mistake. How I had children and was way above the age to save the world. She didn't respond to that, so I went on with my life.

When my powers started manifesting I was sure that there was something wrong. Kasau keeps insisting that I go find the girls, before they come find me. I can't. I don't fit. I'm not meant for these powers. I can control water. I can change its temperature to turn it to ice or boil into steam. It all falls under my control. I can't control it and it terrifies me.

My wife noticed my distress and I finally told her what was going on, revealing Kasau to her. She was shocked, because again, it's unheard of for a man to be chosen. She's recommending that I go to the girls now too; I showed her my messages.

I can't do that.

Jonathon gathers the group for beers and I decide to go, because I have nothing better to do. My wife is caring for the kids and the bar isn't too far away in case of an emergency. We're enjoying ourselves when shadows creep in. They're always a threat.

There's chaos immediately. Kasau urges me to help, but I can't. The others have already run, and the shadows are targeting me. Me, in my uncomfortably tight shirt, with these stupidly large feet that can't dance with my wife to save my life. Me. The man chosen by a skdekick to join a team of magical girls.

That me.

There are no mistakes. Kasau keeps promising.

There are more attacks happening around me. I'm terrified and impulsively reach for my power. Water erupts from the ground, swirling around me in a vortex. Something strange happens, I can't keep track of it. I know transformations are instantaneous, but it felt like hours passed before the vortex cleared.

I saw the news later, and I was unrecognizable. The liquid fox mask with twitching ears perched on my face. A face that was softer, younger. The long waterfall that my hair became, fanning out into a kitsune's nine tails. The blue and white dress that draped down my body. The boots were dainty, like my paws. I had fangs that were visible when I snarled at the monsters, attacking them with skill I didn't have. Flinging water around easily, slaughtering the creatures.

In the moment it felt natural. Everything about my body. Everything about the powers. Hell, even the clothes felt natural, like I'd been wearing them all my life. I found out that when I was fully transformed I could melt into the water and move through it. Anything wet was my terrain. It was my home. No one knew it was me.

My wife was excited when I poured out through the faucet into the bathtub, transformation fading as Kasau separated from my body. After getting the boys to bed, I laid awake, thinking.

Because I felt odd. There was something just out of my grasp that I was missing. Something that would clear up my entire life. But I couldn't find it.

Until the girls appeared at my door a month later. My wife opened it, because I was making sure the boys got to school.

"Are you River?" Hailey asked my wife carefully.

River was the name they gave me, since I vanished without actually making a debut.

"I'm sorry, I'm not," my wife responded. "Boys, you better be ready for school,"

They were ushered out by my lovely wife, who gave me a kiss before leaving. I never wished more than to be the one to take my sons to school. I sighed, letting the group of three into my house. There was Hailey, who had the forest spirit, Taume as her partner. Jaiden, with her fire jackal, Pouan. And Gemma, with her Harpy, Flual. I realized that I just knew the names of their sidekicks. They weren't ever said, never mentioned for protection of both the spirit and their partner.

And like she was summoned, (which she probably was by her friends being around) Kasau appeared, leaping from the sink of dirty dishes.

I crossed my arms to glare at her. "Do you have to be this way?"

She barked lightly, a few tails wagging. "We're a fox, mischief is our thing,"

Gemma's eyes widened. "You're River?"

"Something like that," I muttered. "there's a reason I haven't done anything,"

"I keep telling you we don't make mistakes," Kasau chirps. "You've been chosen,"

"Well," that was Jaiden. "you're not the first trans person to be chosen,"

"What?" I asked, completely confused.

"Oh," Hailey said. "that explains everything,"

It did. It really did.

I'm not a man.

I never was.

Everyone neglected to inform me that it was odd to feel out of place in your body. That it wasn't normal. That it was abnormal to wish to be smaller, have less hair, less muscle definition. It wasn't just being uncomfortable during puberty like my parents had insisted. It was the desire to be something else.

It was why it felt so natural to be transformed. The proper body. Transformations are personal. Revolving around what you prefer, what you like, how you dress. It's why girls like Lani transform with a hijab, when the previous spirit holder didn't. Even bodies change, Gemma grows wings, Hailey's fingers become roots, Jaiden gets the lower body of a jackal. It's not unusual.

Without me consciously knowing, I was a woman, and my transformation reflects that, even if my body doesn't. Because spirits are true selves. Tailored to each individual.

I've finally found my true self.
