It’s time to travel
The best time to visit Chikmagalur is right now because the monsoon season is just around the corner. If you have the opportunity to travel to this coffee-producing country, you must at least once experience the peculiar sensation of being kissed by a light drizzle while hiking through coffee estates, the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, or Kemmangundi.
A lot of rain falls in this city, especially during the monsoon season. The region’s rugged topography and seasonal rainfall provide ideal growing conditions for coffee. It is a wonderful experience to drive through the vast coffee farms that cover thousands of acres of land, especially when coffee is in flower.
It is a portion of the Western Ghats and is about 250 kilometers from Bangalore. Additionally, it is a part of the Malnad region of Karnataka, which is renowned for its lush, year-round green flora. It is well known that the areas in this region are covered in a wide variety of flora and animals. If you’re unsure of what to do while you’re here, try the following activities to take advantage of everything this magnificent region has to offer.
The first step is to book lodging at one of the Chikmagalur Resorts or a Chikmagalur Homestay. There are many places to stay here, but if you show up on the weekends without any planning, you can find that most of them are already booked due to the location’s popularity throughout the state. During the weekends and on holidays, people travel to Chikmagalur from all of the nearby cities and states. So before you visit, we advise making reservations.
There are lots of options, from hotels in populated places to the best resorts in Chikmagalur tucked away in the woods and estates that provide a more private experience. You can choose the greatest option that meets your demands from the comfort of your couch in a number of ways. Once you have determined which one is best for you, you can reserve it. There is one less item to worry about because the majority of places include food in their packages.
By far, Chikmagalur’s most visited destination is Mullayanagiri Hill. The state’s tallest peak is located here. At the summit, the vista is simply breathtaking. On top of the hill, there is a strange cave network and an old temple. Although cars can get you all the way to the top of the hill, you will need to ascend about 300 stairs to get to the temple. Spending time in hotels in Chikmagalur with family and friends is ideal.
There are many waterfalls spread out throughout the hill ranges surrounding Mullayanagiri Hill, including Kalhatti Falls and Hebbe Falls, to name a couple. You can see a variety of little streams and waterfalls when driving around the area, and these streams and waterfalls combine to form multiple rivers that come from this region. Making this the source of water, which is essential to maintaining life everywhere. Water sports like jet skiing and kayaking are available at the Yagachi dam, where this water is collected.
