If it’s ok to ask… how do you feel about Anairis Quiñones? She plays Nifl and Karin.

Outside of her work for FEH, she plays Nessa (Pokemon SwSh’s side anime, Twilight Wings), Tama from AI Nirvana Initiative, Momo Aizaki from Anonymous;Code, Lynette from Genshin Impact and last but not least Mirko from MHA!

I’m so sorry, I was waiting to get back to my computer again for this one because I think Anairis did a fantastic job in FEH. And before anyone mentions it, yes I do remember the bullshit this poor gal went through on Twitter with that one dumbass. It’s why I feel so strongly on “Actors can play whomever they want as long as they are the best fitting voice”.

But disclaimer aside, Anairis Quiñones!

Performance, she is STELLAR. I may not like Nifl much as a character but Anairis still does an amazing job giving her good inflections that makes the performance nice to listen to, even if Nifl is supposed to be apathetic-sounding. She did amazing with what she had to work with regarding Nifl’s character being so dead inside. Karin though? I haven’t really built her up nor do I know a whole lot about her but goodness gracious her voice makes Karin come off as such a cutie. The little nervous shriek, the despair in her voice over people starving, her fawning over her pegasus. It’s probably her best performance between her and Nifl, so hopefully Karin gets an alt sometime soon.

I think she was a great pick for both characters, though (and this is not her fault at all) Nifl’s artwork really doesn’t do justice to Anairis’s voice. Still don’t understand what the heck is going on with Nifl’s base expression or the “pouty anime girl face” instead of like… an actual stone-cold stare or something. Look at Hel, THAT is what an emotionless facial expression should look like! Or even Ganglot, her face looks stern.

Anairis actually has some pretty decent range going on! You can probably hear similarities in her Karin and Nifl voices, but it’s not something most people would be able to tell right off the bat.

So overall, I’d put Anairis Quiñones at a 9/10. I’m hoping to see her voice more original characters to bounce that score up to a perfect 10.
