Россия 🇷🇺, Карелия, Остров Кижи Кижи – давно уже не просто название острова в Онежском озере, а синоним уникальной красоты, которую умели создать из дерева русские зодчие. Сверкающие под северным солнцем Преображенская и Покровская церкви — символ Кижей и всей русской деревянной архитектуры. Чтобы увидеть эти памятники, входящий в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО, в Карелию едут туристы со всего мира. Главное, с чем ассоциируется остров Кижи в Карелии в 2021 году — это государственный историко-архитектурный музей-заповедник «Кижи» — один крупнейших в России и всей Европе.  Площадь острова составляет всего 5 кв. км. Длина территории составляет 5,5 км, а вот ширина только 1,4 км. На такой крохотной территории удалось собрать более 89 памятников деревянной архитектуры. В парке можно увидеть и старинные часовни, и деревянные церкви, и дома, и мельницы, и множество амбаров. Жемчужиной комплекса называют Преображенскую церковь 1714 года, высота которой достигает 37 м.
