Sara Ali Khan turns bride for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2020 in Delhi - fashion and trends

The Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour made its way to Delhi-NCR and showcasing their collection were designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Love Aaj Kal actor Sara Ali Khan turned muse and showstopper for the event that took place at an elaborate set-up in Aerocity. The Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour 2020 is showcasing the work of multiple fashion designers including the late Wendell Rodricks, Gaurav Gupta, Amit Agarwal, Anju Mody, Payal Jain, and will be on display in 4 cities. While Hyderabad and Delhi have been covered, it Kolkata and Mumbai that remain. This is the 15 year of the Fashion Tour, and in Hyderabad designer, Manish Malhotra showcased his collection in an extravagant show with actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kartik Aaryan as the showstoppers. The collection showcased by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla was a mix of their traditional designs, palettes and embroidery amalgamated with a more contemporary edge. Highly structured sleeves, blouses and silhouettes dominated the catwalk, and two models wore extremely long black dresses as they sat suspended on circular rings on either side of the stage. The other models walked through the slits of the dresses of the suspended models, and the dresses had typography with Abu-Sandeep’s name on them. The themes of love is love and gender-neutral dressing overtook the ramp.   Sara first walked the ramp in a gold and deep mauve heavily embroidered lehenga, the blouse of which had huge pouffy balloon sleeves, Sara wore a huge neckpiece that covered her blouse completely. Sara walked the ramp gracefully and exited while the models showcased the rest of the collection.

The designs included beautiful lehengas, gararas, salwar kameez, kurtas, long gowns, sarees in beautiful shades of purple, emerald green, pastel green, blue, yellow, indigo, white and more. Ranaut, a transgender model also walked the ramp in a beautiful pink saree by the designer duo. The collection for men was very interesting, with a lot of edgy and kitschy designs and typography. The collection had very interesting denim pieces that had typography including words like “mard”, bejewelled eyes and lips, among other things. The shoes for men were with heels and had some super kitschy and eclectic embellishments on them.   The show was very well choreographed and the music was on point, it was closed by Sara who took to the stage again in a beautiful pink lehenga in classic Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla fashion, she wore a huge chaadar-style red dupatta over her bridal lehenga, the red dupatta had a patch of black in the middle and looked beautiful on Sara. At the end of the show, all the models and the designer duo along with Sara got onto the ramp and danced it out. It is quite a well-known fact that Sara loves her traditional clothes and that Abu-Sandeep are most definitely her favourites. The actor said, “I have a personal relationship with Abu-Sandeep, they have been friends with my mom since years and it was an honour to walk for them. The collection is a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary design.” Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh, has been a big supporter of the duo’s work ever since they launched their collections in the industry. On the work front, Sara is basking in the success of her latest film, Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, the prequel of which starred Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan. Mishti sat on the bed, lost in thoughts. Why couldn't Kunal move past whatever happened between them? Was it so difficult? Why was he hell-bent on the idea that she was trying to trap Abir? When the door-bell to her room rang, Mishti sighed. Jasmeet would be furious that Mishti left her alone in the pandal. Mishti did not want to face her. She was half-convinced that she could just lay down and pretend to be asleep while Jasmeet finds her key-card. However, the bell continuously rang a couple more times, Mishti sighed and got up.  Opening the door, she was surprised to find him standing there. "What are you doing here?"  "What did Kunal say to you?" Abir asked, forehead creased in concern. "Nothing that matters. He doesn't like me, it will take time for him to." Abir rolled his eyes. Pushing her slightly, he walked into the room, closing the door behind himself. "Abir kya kar rahe ho?" "Mishti, tumhe samajh nahi aaya ab tak? I know you. I know tum Kunal ki baaton se upset ho." Mishti smiled at him. Walking to him, she put a hand on his chest. "I am sorry. It's just that, I know how important it is to you. Me and Kunal being friends and I am not lying. I will try my best and make sure that your brother begins at least liking me." Abir smiled and kept a hand on her waist, pulling her a little close. "You know I love you." "I do. Do you know I love you too?" Abir chuckled. Every time he heard her say these words, it felt dreamlike. How lucky was he, to have her. That smile of hers whenever she looked at him, the way her eyes would shine. He placed a hand on her cheek, rubbing his thumb against it. He did not fail to miss how her lips slightly parted, eyes moving back and forth between his eyes and lips.  "Abi-" The shrill sound of the bell made them spring apart. She looked at him with wide eyes. "Hide! It must be Jasmeet Aunty." "Why should I hide? I'll tell her I brought you here." "Exactly why you shouldn't. Please Abir, just go the bathroom. I'll make sure she doesn't enter." "Par Mishti-" She cut him short by placing a quick kiss on his cheeks, very close to his lips. "Please!" Needless to say, Abir complied. "Mishti?" Jasmeet entered the room, frowning. "You didn't have to leave me along without informing me. Mujhe laga you were lost. Pata hai how upset Taiji would have been?" "Jasmeet Aunty, actually, I have a terrible headache and I did not want to ruin everyone else's mood. Kuhu seems to be enjoying so much, faltu ki tension le leti." Jasmeet seemed convinced. "Accha theek hai, ab hatt. Kunal has invited me to have dinner with him, Kuhu and Abir. I need to get ready." Mishti looked at the bathroom door in horror.  "Nahi!" Quickly standing in front of the door, she tried thinking of an excuse. To her confusion, they heard water running. "Haww! How did the water tap open by itself?" Stupid Abir! "Arey, it's because I have a headache!" "What?" "Jasmeet Aunty, I was the one who put the tap on, I wanted hot water. Maine socha, I'll take a bath, eat some food, take my medicine and sleep. That way, you can enjoy with them and I'll have my rest." Jasmeet frowned, looking rather unconvinced. "But I need to get ready. You can have a bath later." "Please Chachi, you look gorgeous already, what with your Kareena Kapoor dress. I don't think you should change." That seemed to do it. Jasmeet smiled, rather proud. "Of course I do." It took a few more minutes but Mishti managed to convice Jasmeet that she looked good despite all the dancing at the pandal. Even though a part of her hated lying, she could not even begin to imagine what all she would say if she found Abir hiding in the bathroom. Once Jasmeet went out of the room, Mishti leaned against the closed door with a relieved sigh. When the sound of the water stopped, she remembered Abir and rushed to the bathroom.  "Are you mad?" Abir shrugged. "It helped." Mishti walked to him, smiling mischeviously. "Oh did it? I will not be able to join you for dinner either." A part of her wanted to comment on how Kunal didn't even invite her but knowing Jasmeet, even if he did, Jasmeet wouldn't relay that information.  "Oh that has a simple solution. I will have dinner with you here, in your room." Abir smiled with enthusiasm. "Oh come on, why would you miss out?" "Let Kuhu and Kunal spend some time together. I am sure they'll find ways to escape your Chachi anyway." "And she'll come back here." "No, she wouldn't." "How are you so sure?" Mishti didn't realise that she had walked into the shower booth and they were both standing right under the shower so imagine her surprise when Abir switched on the shower. She shivered a little as the cold water hit her, drenching her. She felt it seep into her clothes. "What are you doing?" She couldn't help but stare a little as she looked at him. Water running down his hair and face, a small smile playing on his lips.  "Did you not tell her that you are planning to have a shower?" Mishti's cheeks turned red. Not very sure if it was his comment or her own thoughts. "I was lying." With that, she took a step back and turned around, only to be pulled backwards by her waist. She closed her eyes as her back hit his chest. "Abir!" She meant to shoubt but it was hardly a whimper. "You did give me something before opening the door for her." "I did."  "And it would be unfair if I didn't return it." "It would be." Mishti softly answered. Abir smiled. Bending, he placed his lips on her neck, over the dress she was wearing. Her hand clutched his. Pushing her hair out of the way, he placed another kiss right behind her ear, this one a little longer. Mishti shivered not sure if it was the cold water or the heat. His hands were lose around her and she pulled a little away. Before she could take a step, he turned her around, making her face him.  "I don't remember you shying away the night of Janmashtami." Abir raised a brow. "Neither did you in the hospital nor a few minutes ago, right outside." Mishti only downcast her eyes, smiling. Hands cupping her face, he made her look up. Leaning in, he placed a kiss on her forehead. Mishti closed her eyes again. His lips felt warm against her cool forehead. He moved a little closer, rubbing their noses together. Mishti gulped. Balancing herself on her toes, she rose, hands moving to his neck.  No words were exchanged as their lips met. They didn't know who was the one who initiated it. All they knew was that it felt amazing. Mishti ran a hand on his back, feeling his wet hoodie stick to his body like second skin. His one hand was on her face, holding it for the kiss while the other around her waist, pulling her closer.  When the parted, Mishti looked to her side, trying to regain her breath.  Not meeting his eyes, she side-stepped and turned the shower off. Abir pulled her to him.  "You'll catch a cold." Mishti tried. All she wanted to do was kiss him again.  "At least look at me. This wasn't that bad." "Of course it wasn't." Mishti chuckled nervously. Wow, what was she even supoosed to say? Compliment his skills?  When he couldn't take the awkwardness anymore, Abir turned to her and pulled her in for another kiss. Other thoughts could wait. All he knew was he had her in his arms.

Ahead of the birthday of his adorable twins, Yash and Roohi, filmmaker Karan Johar threw a pre-birthday bash for his kids. The bash was attended by our tiny tots from B-town which included, Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu amongst others. We recently got our hands on an inside video from the party and it is something you definitely should not miss watching! In the video, Taimur Ali Khan can be seen shaking his legs on an English song and it is simply adorable! Check out the video here:

The video also features birthday kids Yash and Roohi. While Yash is dressed in a red hoodie and Army pants, Roohi is dolled up in a pink sweater and denim pants. Inaaya is also seen looking all pretty in a beige coloured dress and a jacket. Taimur, on the other hand, is dapper of them all who catches your attention with his all-blue look. Yash and Roohi will celebrate their third birthday on February 7. While the filmmaker kept their first birthday private and close-knit, their second one was a grand affair and the same thing is expected for their third as well. Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar will be taking up direction once again with his upcoming magnum opus, ‘Takht’. The period drama stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor.

On Tuesday, Kapoor, 32, one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood (a nickname for the Indian film industry based in Mumbai) wed her businessman boyfriend of two years in a Sikh wedding ceremony, a traditional ritual that involves bowing in front of a scripture called Guru Granth. The bride wore a red-and-gold lehenga (a traditional ankle-length skirt) by designer Anuradha Vakil — a choice Vogue India called “unconventional” for its vintage vibe — and the groom a tan-colored sherwani (a long coat) and matching pagdi (headdress).

At the ceremony, the newlyweds shared a large chocolate cake that read “Everyday Phenomenal” with a topper depicting a bride dragging her groom away from a game of basketball.

The newlyweds threw the party two days prior with a mehndi ceremony during which brides, in this case wearing a white-and-gold lehenga, have orange “stains” applied to their hands and feet to symbolize love and luck, according to wedding planners. Kapoor and Ahuja followed up with a next-day sangeet ceremony, a ritual that celebrates music and dance.

While Kapoor did not share wedding photos with her 12.5 million Instagram followers, she did change her moniker on the site to include the last name of her new husband.

Regarding whether the over-the-top celebration was a publicity stunt for Kapoor’s upcoming comedy Veere Di Wedding, we think it’s safe to call this true love.

After three-day long festivities and an intimate wedding ceremony, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja made their first public appearance as husband and wife at their star-studded reception in Mumbai. Dressed to perfection in shades of black and metallic grey the couple walked in hand-in-hand and flashed their brightest smiles for the cameras. The ‘Khoobsurat’ actress looks ethereal in her bridal glory as she dons a red and gold Anuradha Vakil lehenga and heavy traditional jewellery complete with a matha-patti and chooda. She ties the knot with fiancé Anand Ahuja today in a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony (Anand Karaj) today being held at Rockdale 11:30 am onwards.

And the D-Day has finally arrived! We just caught hold of the first look of the groom Anand Ahuja, who is all smiles moments before his wedding to Sonam Kapoor.

Decked in a muted gold sherwani and a pagadi with ruby beads around his neck, Anand looks majestic as he enters the venue.

The wedding takes place at Rockdale between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm amid the attendance of close friends and family. It will be followed by a grand reception that will be hosted later this evening.

It was Sonam Kapoor’s sangeet last night and the ‘Khoobsurat’ actress looked like a princess by all means in a white lehenga complete with white kundan and pearl jewellery. Glowing how a bride should, with her henna adorned hands, Sonam was definitely the star attraction. Fiance Anand Ahuja too turned up in white to complement her to perfection. The star-studded function was held at her aunt’s luxurious bungalow at Bandra Kurla Complex and the guests arrived in compliance with the theme of the evening – Indian festive, in shades of white.

Sonam Kapoor’s traditional mehendi ceremony took place a night before making the diva a free bird for her sangeet. The ‘Neerja’ actress who stunned in a white chikankari Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga, later adorned a floral necklace and bangles as part of the following mehendi rituals. Her chooda ceremony was also performed during the function in the presence of the near and dear ones. She later covered the bangles with a pink cloth in order hide it before the wedding day, as per customs. Interestingly, she failed to drop the kaleere on cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s head which finally landed on Anshula Kapoor, hinting at the latter to be the next one to get hitched.

Sonam Kapoor can boast of quite a few BFFs in Bollywood who turned up on time in compliance with the white theme for the lady’s sangeet-mehendi function. While Katrina Kaif looked ultra glamourous in a shimmery saree-gown, Jacqueline Fernandez was at her chirpiest best in a light-weight lehenga complete with a bindi and gajra. Going by the clips from the event, Sonam grooved on ‘Chittiyaan kalaiyaan’ while Jacqueline was seen hooting during the act.

Armaan is the son of Rima Jain, who is actors Rishi and Randhir Kapoor’s sister.
