My kārearea stickers finally arrived! These two designs are based off Scout, the advocacy bird at kareareafalcontrust, and some of the profits from each sale will go directly to them.

Crock-Pot Beef Roast
"I've put together a few different recipes to come up with something our family likes. Hope you enjoy it too! *I usually cut my potatoes into eighths unless they are small potatoes. *Using the crockpot on a low setting makes the meat so much more tender. *I have a 6 quart crockpot, so I can fit a lot into it."
directions
Put potatoes, carrots and onion on bottom of crockpot.
Place the roast on top, fat side up.
Pour in water or beef broth.
Sprinkle chives, parsley, pepper and Onion Soup mix over the meat.
Pour Worcestershire sauce and mushroom soup over meat.
Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.
**Note: If your roast is frozen, start it on low the night before with just the water or broth. Add the rest of the ingredients the next morning and cook until dinnertime! If done this way, you can easily remove the fat layer in the morning before adding the other ingredients.
ingredients
6potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
5carrots, peeled and cut into 2-inch slices
1onion, quartered
2 -3lbs boneless chuck roast
1⁄2cup water or 1/2 cup beef broth
1tablespoon chives, chopped
2tablespoons parsley, chopped
1⁄8teaspoon pepper
1(1 ounce) package onion soup mix
2tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1(10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

Great Backyard Bird Off - Schedule & Info
Round One Schedule
Cosmopolitan - posted February 1st & 2nd - 14 polls
Europe - posted February 11th - 9 polls
Africa - posted February 20th - 9 polls
Australia - posted March 1st & 2nd - 20 polls
New Zealand - posted March 11th - 7 polls
Asia - posted March 20th & 21st - 14 polls
the Americas - posted March 29th & 30th - 16 polls
Eurasia - posted April 8th & 9th - 14 polls
Poll Info
There are 8 brackets, with 208 species featured! Ranges were determined either using the self-report feature added to the submission box or with eBird sightings. "Cosmopolitan" is a bracket involving species of birds which were found on at least three continents, regardless of which they were submitted for. "Eurasia" are birds which seem to appear equally between Europe and Asia (majority of the continent, not just Middle East). "the Americas" includes all of the Americas, with US birds removed- granted, some Canadian or Mexican birds can show up in the US, but they're not common enough backyard birds (imo) to have been disqualified.
Please-- feel free to advocate for whichever bird you vote for! I would love to get some more participation with this tournament, especially since this is a poll with popular bird species.
Polls will be a week long, and are tagged #Great Backyard Bird Off. All subsequent reblogs are tagged as #poll reblog. Be sure to block this tag if you want to avoid me spamming your dash. Any reblogs containing support for a species will be tagged #[species] support. Results will be tagged #poll results.

The kārearea or the native New Zealand falcon is one of my favorite birds, about only because my mom worked rehabilitating birds of prey when she was my age. Whip smart and super intelligent, they can fly over 100 kilometers per hour, and I feel very lucky to see them regularly down here near Wanaka even though they are threatened. Thankfully groups like @wingspan.nz in Rotorua are working hard in education and conservation around our beautiful birds of prey here, such as rehabilitating injured birds but also running a breed and release program too as well as building a new… The kārearea or the native New Zealand falcon is one of my favorite birds, about only because my mom worked rehabilitating birds of prey when she was my age. Title: MT.FALCON
ARTIST: Peap Tarr
Medium: Spray Paint , Gold and Silver Chrome on Canvas
Description: Peap art works are usually painted large scale on walls, in this piece Peap is exploring his New Zealand and Cambodian Heritage through his True Will of divine intervention when he started painting various sketches that later translated to this canvas where visions of his New Zealand heritage has emerged with images of Mountains, New Zealand Falcons “Karearea” and the Native NZ MorPork Owl watches from Among The High Ranges of the NZ Mountains which are very Sacred in NZ Maori Culture as it is a place of great Spiritual connection to the Ancient Ancestors of NZ Maori. Peap has also used the elements of South East Culture since part of his heritage is also Cambodian and he is exploring this once again with the Gold and Silvers that richly decorates traditional cultural elements of South East Asian Cultures. But not forgetting his street elements by using materials he uses on the street.
Canvas available at CHIN’S Gallery
