Kaptein Sabeltann Introduction

A short introduction to Kaptein Sabeltann and his crew + enemies.

Kaptein Sabeltann - the Pirate in Black, King of the seven Seas

The world's feared pirate, an angry and dangerous man; Kaptein Sabeltann can smell gold and is always looking for more treasure. He is the villain of the story and does not care what he has to do to get his gold - nothing is more important to him. His crew (with the exception of Langemann) are mostly stupid and he always yells at them because of it - everyone is deathly afraid of Kaptein Sabeltann. He often talks about himself in third person and wants everyone on their knees working for him, or he'll send them to walk the plank on the Black Lady. Nothing will stand in his way. Absolutely insane and dramatic.

Langemann - Kaptein Sabeltann's shadow

Langemann is the next in command, in charge of the crew and the ship, always trailing behind Kaptein Sabeltann. He is the most competent man in the crew and always follows his captain's orders, is reliable, and never betrays him. Kaptein Sabeltann's most loyal man who does anything to please him. He is the only one who has free admittance to the captain's fortress in the pirate village of Abra. Catch phrase: "Ai ai, Kæpten"

Pinky - world's youngest pirate

Pinky has been sailing on the Black Lady since before he could walk and works in the galley, but dreams about being the youngest pirate in the world and to gain the respect of Kaptein Sabeltann. He is betrayed by his hero and decides to stay behind in a normal town after one of their raids, giving up on the pirate life.

Pelle and Pysa

The twins are lazy, stupid, and very very afraid of their captain. They often bicker among themselves and are made fun of for being "mammadalter" (small children who only follow their mom around) and cowardly.

Benjamin

Another member of the crew on the Black Lady, not quite as incompetent as the twins, but very lazy and nonchalant about things. Always has a witty comment to contribute.

Sunniva

Sunniva is the reason Pinky leaves the pirate crew of Kaptein Sabeltann. She has been raised in at the village tavern by her Aunt Bassa and had to work all her life. When Pinky appears she has finally found a friend her own age. They later go out on adventures together.

Greven av Gral (the Count of Gral)

A sorcerer on the island Gral. He is furious when Kaptein Sabeltann steals all his treasures (especially the golden tiger statue) so he casts a spell on Kaptein Sabeltann's men, tricking them into betraying their captain, making Gral the King of the Seven Seas instead.

Miriam av Gral

A powerful witch on the island of Gral. She is cursed by the Count to guard his treasure, but when she fails he takes all her magic from her, leaving her an old woman. Honestly one of the coolest characters.

Maga Khan and Sirikit

Maga Khan is a vampire who lives in the jungle with his queen, Sirikit. They are searching for the Magical Diamond, a diamond that can grant wishes to the person who holds it. Kaptein Sabeltann is also on the hunt for this diamond.

Grusomme Gabriel (Horrible Gabriel)

The ghost of Grusomme Gabriel who appears out of the water to scare away Kaptein Sabeltann before he finds his hidden treasure. The only thing Kaptein Sabeltann is afraid of, are ghosts.

3 ships: Spock/McCoy, Kirk/McCoy. I tend to focus on one thing at a time and I don't really have any other Star Trek ships... But I recently rediscovered my love for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Dutch/Hosea.

first ship: My memory sucks, I honestly don't have a clue. MAYBE something like Pinky and Sunniva from Kaptein Sabeltann (Captain Sabertooth) lol. If any of you know what this is I'll be very impressed 😂

First ever ship: I’m not sure to be honest. Might be Ron/Hermione, might be Phil/Gina from Heartbeat, might be Pinky/Sunniva from Kaptein Sabeltann

Last film: Ummm, I have mostly been watching series lately, so I think the last film was the first Olsen Banden film (the danish one) 

Currently reading: Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. It’s a bit like a confusing fever dream, but in a good way. 

Currently watching: Bonanza, because I was reminded that it exists and now I’m on a bit of a kick. There are moments of “oh that has not aged well”, but on the whole I enjoy it. Also Hoss is the best big boy, and I bet he gives great hugs. 

Currently consuming: Nothing, as I have finished all the chocolate I bought for the weekend. 

Currently craving: A new piercing and questionable Bonanza fanfiction.

Their relationship is so cute and I like the two of them going on their own travels and adventures together. I bet they make their own two-person adventure group when they grow up, maybe bringing Marco along too, sailing around and treasure hunting ✨

i have this......... ghost memory........... of like.. Sabeltann wearing a wig. like, his hair is a wig that's stuck on his hat? and if the hat is torn off, then so is his wig and he's just. bald. beneath. PLEASE tell me this is actually canon in some kind of version and that i haven't just..... imagined it to life
