Workshop on Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship

Solan A one-day workshop on ‘Development of Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship among Agri Graduates’ was organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry for the final-year students of College of Horticulture and College of Forestry at the university’s main campus in Nauni. The workshop was organized in collaboration with ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Development and ICAR NAHEP’s Institutional Development Project with an aim to create awareness among agri-graduates about soft skills, innovation and entrepreneurs. Over 100 students from forestry and horticulture backgrounds along with faculty members attended the training. Dr. Prachi Kapil, Assistant Professor at Shoolini University delivered a guest lecture on ‘Communication Skills for Professional Advancement’. The main objective of this lecture was to help students to comprehend the difficulties they encountered when speaking with diverse stakeholders. A lecture on ‘Teamwork and Team Building’ was also delivered which included a variety of group exercises designed to help the students grasp the value of teamwork and how to create the ideal team by allocating responsibilities in accordance with each member's abilities and attributes. Dr. Swati Prasher, HDO gave a presentation on Government Initiative for startups and companies. Workshop's programme Director Dr. Pratima Rana led several group exercises with the students. ★ Salman Khan’s next TV Show is about Wrestler Gama Pehalwan!

After his success on The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman Khan is set to commence work on the small screen. His show is about the life of wrestler Gama Pehalwan.

After receiving a rousing reception on The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman Khan is set to commence work on the small screen with a new show. His TV series is about the life of wrestler Gama Pehalwan.

The actor has decided to adapt the life story of Gama Pehalwan into a series suitable for television audiences. Salman is producing the series under his banner, Salman Khan films.

Salman’s brother Sohail Khan has been cast to play the iconic wrestler. One of the highest-paid TV actors Mohammed Nazim is set to play his on-screen brother Imam Baksh.

The show has undergone several changes over time and was initially planned as a film which had been in the pipeline for two years.

Even John Abraham was planning on making a film about the sportsman, bringing more delays.

The untitled series is written and directed by Puneet Issar. Puneet has previously worked with Salman as a director on the 2004 film Garv: Pride and Honour.

Salman’s TV series will be shot in Punjab and London. They plan to begin shooting in April and to have a bank of episodes ready by the time it airs.

Developers are looking at a July launch for the untitled fiction show if all goes well. They have also finished making the pilot episode ready for the July release date.

The TV biopic chronicles the life of Ghulam Mohammed AKA the Great Gama. It will also explore the backdrop of India’s partition.

Born in Punjab, Gama began attracting attention at the age of 10 in 1888 during a strongman competition in Jodhpur, which included many gruelling exercises.

He became a wrestler and went on defeat many grappling champions across the world. Gama’s efforts saw him awarded the Indian World Heavyweight Championship.

Gama went undefeated in a career which spanned more than 50 years. Gama is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers in the world.

After partition, Gama moved to Pakistan. He died at the age of 82 in the year 1960.

His legacy lives on as he is still one of the most popular wrestlers of his time and was also inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2015.

Salman’s TV series on the wrestler is bound to give viewers an insight into the wrestler’s life and the sport in general.

Decision Making

If someone asks me 'what is the one most important quality to be a good leader?' My answer would be "Decision Making"

Time and again, I have seen this but realised recently. We fear taking responsibility and hence fear taking decisions because we fear what would they say if I go wrong, what would they think about me if I go wrong.

If I ask you to name some successful leaders, what will be your response? Let me guess some picks, Politics: Narendra Modi Sports: Kapil Dev, Mahendra Singh Dhoni Business: Ratan Tata and there would be many in India and globally… in different areas &

You can hate him, you can abuse him but you cannot ignore him, he is Elon Musk.

One common thing for their tremendous success was their decisions.

Remember Narendra Modi talking about building toilets? Remember him talking about make in India and some people making fun of it? Same for digital India, even some parliamentarian making fun within the house on record. But stil he takes bold decisions, recent one is to nominate Mrs Murmu the president candidate.

1983 world cup was the only ODI world cup India had won till 2011. Heard about his knock against Zimbabwe? Some players of his team were not happy with his decision of batting first. He not only took the decision of batting first but also showed how it's done.

Who would have remembered Dhoni, had Joginder Sharma failed to get Misbah out in that last over? You remember Joginder Sharma, don't you! It was his many brave decisions that gave him this much success. 2007 T20I World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, 2013 Champion Trophy, Test Maces. Yes, I know you remember many more.

One company that doesn't have any haters, TATA. Remember some European companies ridiculing Ratan Tata Sir's decisions to enter car market and later TATA saved their companies by buying them and now TATA cars are synonymous to quality cars, safe cars.

And. Do I need to tell anything about him? Let me try to describe him in a few words, "You refuse to accept it. Then you start using it. And then, you get used to it."

I'll end this here. And excuse me for missing many of their stories that you remember 😉. Decision Making is more about confidence than the decision itself. Have believe in your decisions, nothing is right or wrong unless it happens. People always analyse your decisions only after results.
