🧠🔁🔊⚙️❌??
🧠 - have you ever made a voicebank before?
nope! i attempted a long time ago to make an english utau named florescence. i uh, gave up pretty quickly the cvvc reclist is pretty long and not super for beginners
🔁 - what vocal synth song(s) have you been listening to lately?
there's a few! becoming potatoes by neru, closing the fabricated window by dobuno awa, jackpot sad girl by syudou, devil's casino by vane + pumpkin head
🔊 - what is your favorite obscure/underrated voicebank pair/group? why?
i'm not quite sure how to answer this. i will say dobuno awa has made some duet songs with lumi and vy2 and i think that's an interesting choice + they sound lovely together. if this is asking about voicebanks that like, came paired up/in groups i like anon and kanon
⚙️ - do you generally prefer more nasal tones or rounder ones? why?
i think generally i prefer rounder tones, they're more pleasant for me personally to listen to but i do love nasal tones. they're cute
❌ - what is your least favorite synthesizer/engine? why don’t you like it?
i haven't used that many so i don't know if i can properly answer this. does uh, does maidloid count. i've never used it but i know it's kinda disturbing to just have a sex sounds synthesizer

hi! tbh i wanted to reach out to you via commenting on your fic winging it with sayo then i saw your tumblr address on your profile so i decided send you an ask instead! i wanted to ask if the chapter titles for the fic all have meaning or are they just random?
Wow, you actually came all this way just to send me an ask? I’m flattered and also slightly concerned that there isn’t an easier way to reach me. (That, and the recent influx of anons shocks me.)
To answer your question, they all do! Okay, majority of them doesn’t have any deep meaning but they all do serve a purpose. The meanings behind all 18 chapters of ‘Winging It With Sayo’ is under the cut as it’s really long and the explanations might prove to be uh... confusing for some titles. I’m not really the best at explaining, sorry about that.
Chapter 1 (Shooting For The Stars): It’s to indicate that Kasumi’s the first girl Sayo has to help with, and the phrase is used to mean aiming high, which is something Kasumi does with bizarrely high optimism.
Chapter 2 (Happy, Lucky, Love You, Yay!): It’s to indicate that Kokoro’s the featured girl for this chapter, and the title is based of HHW’s catchphrase with a bit of a romantic twist.
Chapter 3 (A Fleeting March): The title is to indicate that KaoKanon is the featured pairing, with Kaoru being represented by her signature phrase and Kanon being represented by a reference to ‘Wacha-Mocha Pettan March’. The song is also the inspiration to the aquarium date!
Chapter 4 (Yura Yura God Why Dance): I’ve mentioned in said chapter that ‘god why’ is Sayo’s thoughts towards her wingwoman gig, and the title is based off ‘Yura-Yura Ring-Dong-Dance’ as it’s literally Aya’s and Chisato’s duet. After all, this chapter features those two idols as the main pairing but since I left the featured pairings as a surprise in the earlier chapters of the stories, it’s considered a hint to what’s the featured pairing of the chapter.
Chapter 5 (Gaming Buddies For Life (And More)!): The title’s a direct nod to Rinko’s and Ako’s gaming hobby, with the ‘and more’ hinting at the promise of them entering a romantic relationship.
Chapter 6 (I Want To Punch Her Lips With My Own): Okay so since it’s established really early on that it’s going to be YukiRan, I decided to use Yukina’s declaration ‘I want to punch Mitake-san’s lips with my own’ and make it more vague so that readers who see the title first wouldn’t really know what’s the featured pairing, keeping it a surprise. Then again, I indicated in the relationship tags that YukiRan is a thing since keeping relationships a surprise until they actually read the chapter can turn people off.
Chapter 7 (I Want To Pin You Down And Scream My Name): So I just realised that the title might cause some readers to think that ‘I’ is the one who will be screaming their own name. Anyways, in Chapter 6, Hina found out that Ran’s sexual fantasy was to pin Yukina down and hear the latter scream Ran’s name. Since one side of the pairing is already mentioned in Chapter 6′s title, I went with this one to remind readers that it’s YukiRan. Also, both Chapters 6 and 7 have titles that are more sexual in nature to hint the implied sexual tension as well as the more heated kiss at the end of Chapter 7.
Chapter 8 (Drum Beat Of A Warrior’s Heart): This chapter features Eve (warrior) and Maya (drum beat), but since I didn’t have any creative ideas when I posted this chapter, I just went with the... let’s just say the least cringiest idea I had at that time. Besides, the title somewhat references the heartbeat of someone in love, and I think we all know that drumming can go real fast at certain parts of songs...
Chapter 9 (Your Love’s As Sweet As A Chocolate Cornet): The title is used to indicate that Rimi’s the featured girl, and since we all know that chocolate cornets come from Yamabuki Bakery... yeah. Also, I decided to go with this cheesy-sounding title as I wanted to have a chapter that’s just pure fluff, and nothing screams ‘fluff’ than SayaRimi after all.
Chapter 10 (Lemme Show You Why Coffee Buns Are The Best): If you’ve noticed, the title for this chapter is different from others in terms of tone. This title sounds more smug than others, which is to imply that Moca makes up one half of the featured pairing. Why I chose coffee buns of all things is because first of all, Moca loves buns a whole lot. Second of all, coffee is synonymous to Hazawa Coffee in Bandori, which implies Tsugumi as part of the pairing. The title is actually implying that Moca really loves Tsugumi a great deal even though it’s hardly implied in the whole chapter, while also implying to the readers that this chapter is MocaTsugu (and also rendering SayoTsugu to not be a thing, but by this chapter it’s pretty obvious that the endgame is SayoLisa).
Chapter 11 (You’re My Treasure!): This chapter is about Misaki approaching Sayo for help with coming up with a date while revealing that she’s jealous of Kokoro spending more time with Hagumi. Hence, the title is actually a reference to HHW’s ‘Worldwide Treasure!’ as well as Kokoro’s reassurance to her girlfriend at the end of the chapter. It sounds pretty romantic too, does it not?
Chapter 12 (Another Kind Of Sparkling Pounding Feeling): We all know that Kasumi’s all about the sparkling pounding feeling (whatever that really means), so ‘another kind’ is actually meant to refer to Asuka, who is a Toyama but not a carbon copy of her older sister.
Chapter 13 (The Most Boppin’ Star-Shaped Croquette): Full disclosure, I changed the title of this chapter recently. I changed it as it was just too long for my liking, and it just wasn’t boppin’ you know? Either way, both titles retain the same meaning, which is to indicate that Hina (boppin’, stars) and Hagumi (croquette) make up the chapter’s featured pairing.
Chapter 14 (Shine! Wakana Electric Bass!!!): The title is actually the chorus taken from Tae’s solo (Hanazono Electric Guitar!!!) but since I wrote it in such a way that Sayo’s helping Rei, it’s considered a Rei spinoff of her crush’s solo (Fun fact: I actually counted the syllables when coming up with this title, it’s almost a match, possibly so if the title’s ‘Shine! Rei Wakana’s Electric Bass!!!’ but it had a weird feel).
Chapter 15 (Bunnies Love R.I.O.T): This chapter is the second part of TaeRei, and following the YukiRan chapters, I decided to flip it around and insert Tae’s rabbits into RAS’s song. The title is based off R.I.O.T’s ‘passions run R.I.O.T’, and the syllables match! In English that is.
Chapter 16 (Denial And An Umbrella Of Painful Truths): Even though the chapter is about Himari confronting her denial with regards to her feelings towards Tomoe, the ‘denial’ in the title actually refers to both Himari’s and Sayo’s denial towards their own feelings, with the reasons for their denial being somewhat similar yet different. ‘Painful truths’ is a nod to the truth Sayo has to face when admitting to Hina the reason to why she constantly deny her sexuality, and also the ‘painful truth’ to how Lisa perceives her feelings for Sayo. Why I chose an umbrella of all things apart from referencing the umbrella Lisa ‘lent’ to Sayo at the end is to reference the song cover for ‘ONENESS’, another reference to said song is when Lisa says ‘a wave motion that first makes your heart tremble’ as compared to the actual lyrics of ‘WAVE-MOTION that makes my chest tremble’
Chapter 17 (The Value Of A Sunkissed Rhodonite): The thing about Chapters 16 and 17 is that while it seemingly focuses on the last pairing (TomoHima), it’s actually more of Sayo confronting her insecurities and moving forward with acceptance. TomoHima is actually used a plot point for Sayo’s development as well as Japan’s view towards sexuality in general. Hence with these in mind, ‘Sunkissed Rhodonite’ which is basically a YukiLisa love song, represents Sayo’s and Lisa’s unsaid feelings for each other, and how much their own feelings meant to themselves. In a way, it’s can be interpreted as Sayo going all out to make it known that she treasures Lisa, who serves as Sayo’s sunkissed rhodonite.
Chapter 18 (Winging It With Sayo): The chapter is literally about Sayo winging it throughout her date as well as her confession, with her reaping positive results like the other ‘Winging It With Sayo’ chapters. It sort of serves as both a literal and a past reference to the previous successes.

Hey everyone! So recently I've been going back through my posts in order to make a better ordered list for myself of what songs I've already featured, and because of that, I also started putting together some information about what Vocaloids and Producers have been featured on this blog the most so far! It was fun putting this together, so I figured I'd post the information as a little end-of-the year style thing!
Some of the exact numbers may be sliiiightly off, but they should be pretty close. And the numbers here are up to date through the song posted today (December 31st).
I'm hoping to start doing this as an annual thing, with updates to the rankings at the end of the year.
Also: as a quick secondary update- I have decided that this blog will start to feature songs using vocal synths of any kind, not just Vocaloid-specific songs. I still intend for Vocaloid characters to make up the majority of songs featured here (and I currently have a long queue lined up that still has only Vocaloids in it), but I will start to add other synths into the mix, and song suggestions are now open for solos featuring non-Vocaloid synths!
Anyway, without further ado: the rankings!
