Styling my sister for her South Indian Wedding . I made her a beautiful pomegranate coloured and gold kanjiveram silk saree with an embroidered border and a contrasting mango yellow and red blouse. The jewellery was made with kemp stones in gold and in shades of green and meroon. I did a lot of research to make sure I got all the elements of her look right, for instance the styling of her hair ; the waistband , the flowers, the nose pin and the bangles. I wanted to add my signature touch but at the same time make sure she looked like a traditional South Indian Bride. One of the most important job for me was to make sure my mother looked like a Royal Queen for all the wedding functions for my sister @ayushikejriwal ‘swedding. For the evening North Indian Style wedding I designed a gold and forest green coloured Rajputani Lengha for her. I styled her in the ‘Jashari’ Chocker and Earring set along with a statement big borla and a nose pin along with lots of glass bangles. For the wedding rituals I teamed up the ‘Suryamal’ embroidered patola dupatta along with the Lengha to add a touch of colour and grace. Most, importantly my Mum wore her beautiful smile and her happiness adding to the allure. Her make was kept to the minimum with highlighted eyes and a dark lipstick. Doesn’t she look lovely?!
