I sing all day long (GWSN Miya x Reader)
8th member of GWSN AU, you encourage Miya to work on talents she wouldn't usually express so easily. A lot of Kang duo appearances (title comes from lyrics to GWSN's 'I Sing (lalala)'.
Pairing: GWSN Miya x Female Reader Word count: 3595
A/N: It's been a few months! Been busy and had inspiration for other fics, but I'm happy to come back to this series. I do plan on ending it soon, actually, so this is the last sort of "chill" one before bigger stuff goes down. Also today marks one year since I posted my first fic!! I started this blog a few days after, but I initially posted the first of this series on Ao3 on the 31st July, so thank you for one year!! Your support means the world to me, I hope you enjoy this as a little thank you! Also I did not specify any songs in here so you can imagine whichever songs you like!
Read on Ao3
With the final beat of the song, your morning practice was over. You and Minju had decided on doing a dance cover together of a recent song, so had been learning the choreography since the early hours. Most of it was down; there was still a few grey areas that needed refining, but first you had to eat something.
“Are you coming to get lunch, Minju?” You asked your dance partner.
Minju’s eyes were fixated on her phone as she picked up her bag, “I can’t, Seoryoung unnie wanted to try the new lunch menu at the restaurant down the road, so I’m meeting her there,” she then turned her head towards you, “you want to join?”
Raising a smile, you declined, “Miya unnie made us a packed lunch this morning.”
You watched Minju’s face turn into a smirk, “oh, well you enjoy then.”
“Thanks, you too.” You replied.
The two of you parted ways once you stepped through the door; Minju walking towards the lift while you travelled the short distance to your girlfriend’s practice room. Miya had put your lunch in the fridge when you arrived that morning, but it would be rude to open your half without her.
Placing one hand on the door handle, you were about to raise your arm to give a gentle knock on the door, when you heard something out of the ordinary. Out of the ordinary for Miya, anyway. You heard singing. Specifically, Miya singing. This almost never happened.
Rather than interrupting her, you decided to hold on and let her finish the song she was practising. You felt a little guilty secretly listening to her, but the occasion was so rare.
For such a confident and charismatic performer, Miya was extremely shy about her singing. She had sung during your trainee days for evaluations and basic singing lessons, and of course sang her parts in GWSN’s songs, but in general she liked to stick to dance and rap. When pushed to sing, she would either not take it seriously, or point blank refuse. There was nothing for her to be shy about; you were a group of singers after all, but it wasn’t what she was most comfortable with, so none of you ever pushed her beyond her limits.
You always felt she should be more confident with her voice. Sure, she wasn’t as amazingly talented as Seoryoung or Lena, but then again who is? She had a very sweet and soothing voice; an extreme contrast from her usual girl crush style. It made you smile to hear her sing with such confidence at this moment.
Lost in your thoughts, you barely registered the sound of movement coming from inside the room, and that she had finished the song. Before you could move away, she opened the door and immediately met your gaze. Upon spotting you, her eyes widened and her cheeks immediately flushed. There was no hiding that you had heard her.
“I wasn’t listening!” You blurted out in an attempt to calm her down; you felt she could get upset by the invasion of privacy.
“How long have you been there?” Miya inquired, her voice quiet and timid.
“I’m sorry,” you said, “I haven’t been here long, I promise. I finished practice with Minju and came to see if you wanted to get lunch.” A look of guilt formed on your face as you explained, Miya looking increasingly more embarrassed. She smiled slightly, amused by how awkward she felt, as she banged her forehead on, and stared at, the doorframe in regret. You simply put an hand on her shoulder, “it’s okay, unnie, you sounded good!”
“You don’t need to make me feel better.” Miya replied, still staring into the doorframe.
“I’m not trying to, I like your voice,” you clarified, gently holding onto her hand, “come on, let’s go get lunch.” Giving you a nod, the two of you made your way to the cafeteria.
——————————————————————————
“So, how come you were singing?” You asked. The two of you had been pretty quiet since coming to the cafeteria, only speaking a few words to each other when dividing up the packed lunch Miya had made for you. Maybe if you got her to talk about it, she’d feel less awkward.
Miya gave you a shrug, scrunching her face slightly as she poked at her cold pieces of chicken, “just felt like trying it, I don’t know.”
You took a bite of the lunch Miya had made for you, “I thought you didn’t really like singing all that much.”
“I guess I do enjoy it,” Miya replied, “I’m just not very good at it, that’s why I don’t like doing it around the rest of you.”
Your head turned towards her, giving her a pout, “you are good, you just need more confidence in yourself.”
“Hi!” A voice broke into your conversation. Both of you looked up to see Lena sitting down across from you, putting her lunch on the table.
“Hey, where’ve you been this morning?” You asked the maknae.
Lena opened her lunch box and picked up her chopsticks as she spoke, “I had a singing lesson. Seonsaengnim is joining me for lunch, if that’s okay.”
You gave a slight smirk to Miya, “oh that’s no problem.” Miya responded with a look of slight panic in her eyes, concerned about what you were implying.
“What were you two doing this morning, then?” Lena asked.
“Well, Minju and I were working on a cover together.” You answered with a smile, before giving a gesturing look to Miya.
Lena also looked over at Miya, “what about you, unnie?”
Miya stabbed at another piece of chicken, visibly nervous, “I… I was practising a song.” She stuttered out.
“You were both in the practice room?” Lena glanced between the two of you, not understanding how you could have been practising two different songs in the same practice room.
“She wasn’t dancing.” You stated, holding back a proud smile. You wouldn’t tell Lena what Miya was doing if it would make Miya more uncomfortable; you wanted her to tell Lena herself.
“No, I wasn’t,” Miya took a deep breath, lifting her head to look at Lena, “I was singing in my room, actually.”
The maknae’s face looked surprised by the information, “really?”
“Is it that shocking?” Miya whined, leaning back in embarrassment.
“Yes, you literally never sing, unnie.” Lena laughed, taking a bite of her lunch.
“She sounded great,” you interjected, earning another sigh of embarrassment from Miya, “but she doesn’t think she’s good enough to sing properly.”
“Why don’t you take a couple of singing lessons?” Lena suggested, “seonsaengnim wouldn’t mind seeing somebody other than me and Seoryoung unnie.”
Miya scrunched her eyes together, visibly distressed, “I can’t do that, it’s been so long since I had a singing lesson I don’t think I even spoke korean then.”
“There’s no harm in it,” you assured her, “you’ll be fine, it will help boost your confidence, maybe you could do a cover to post online.”
Another figure proceeded to join you at your table: your singing teacher. She was a kind and welcoming woman, who would always take extra time and care to make sure all of you were comfortable and confident with what you were doing during lessons. There was no doubt in your mind Miya would feel fine taking extra lessons with her.
“Hi, seonsaengnim!” Lena greeted.
The teacher smiled at the three of you, taking her lunch out, “how are you two doing this morning?”
“Good, thank you.” You responded, you and Miya giving her a nod. Miya then looked down at her lunch, poking at it again, trying not to make eye contact with the teacher sat across from her.
“Uh, so, seonsaengnim, Miya unnie wanted to ask you something.” Lena teased, grinning straight at Miya. Miya sharply made eye contact with the maknae, startled by her encouragement.
The teacher gave Miya a warm smile, “everything alright, Miya-ssi?”
“Oh, um, yeah, so, um…” Miya began to stutter again, fumbling over various words trying to build the confidence to ask, “I was wondering if I would be able to get a couple of singing lessons?”
“You want lessons?” the teacher asked in surprise, slightly choking on a piece of her lunch.
“Is that not okay?” Miya looked worried.
“No, it’s fine,” the teacher confirmed, her face relaxing, “I’m just not used to you asking to see me.”
You politely interrupted, “Miya unnie was thinking of doing a cover, but she wants a little more confidence before she tries it.”
“Ahh, I see,” the teacher nodded, understanding, “well, just put your name down in one of the timeslots next to my door, I’d be happy to see you.” Miya gave an uncertain smile, before the four of you finished your lunches.
——————————————————————————
A couple of days later, the time for Miya’s first singing lesson since she was a trainee had come. You and Lena walked her there; Miya keeping a death grip on your hand out of nerves.
“You’ll be fine, unnie.” Lena assured, as the three of you approached the studio.
“Are you sure you don’t want us to come in with you?” You asked, giving Miya a comforting look, “I can tell Minju we can practise later.”
Miya fiercely shook her head, “no, don’t worry, I’d rather not have anyone in there, I’m nervous enough to sing in front of seonsaengnim, nevermind you two.”
“That’s okay, we’ll support you in spirit!” Lena exclaimed, a bold look of enthusiasm on her face.
You saw a small panic wash over Miya’s face as she asked, “you won’t be able to hear me from downstairs, right?”
“Not if we’re practising to music, don’t worry.” You confirmed, smiling.
“I can just watch (Y/N) unnie and Minju unnie practice too,” Lena added, turning to you, “is that alright?” You nodded.
“Okay, good luck Miya unnie!” You said, as the three of you stopped outside the door, “don’t be nervous, you’ve done this before, seonsaengnim isn’t going to judge you or laugh at you or whatever you’re worried about, you’ll be fine.” As you spoke, you placed your hands on Miya’s shoulders, making direct eye contact with her. You were really hoping to drill a little confidence into her before her lesson started.
Miya gave you a nod, smiling nervously, “thank you.” You gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, before stepping back next to Lena.
“Enjoy your first day of school, Miya unnie!” Lena chimed, an enormous smile on her face.
“Lena ya!” Miya shouted, laughing at the maknae’s remark as she stomped slightly in frustration.
Lena gave a real statement of encouragement once she had stopped laughing, “unnie fighting!” She gestured her fist as she spoke, causing Miya to do the same back.
After exchanging one last “love you”, you walked off with Lena to the lift as Miya entered the teacher’s studio. Watching her walk through the door as the lift closed, you silently wished her luck again, hoping she would be okay.
The two of you met Minju in the practice room. You and Minju continued your dance practice, making sure the music was loud enough so you wouldn’t hear anything from upstairs. You were quickly beginning to pick up the choreography more, so took a few moments to relax with Lena, discussing how you thought you would dress and style your hair for the cover to fit the original.
A couple of hours passed, and you were soon greeted by Miya joining you in the practice room, “hey!” she announced.
You looked over at her with a smile, “hi Miya unnie!” You practically skipped over to her, eager to hear about her lesson, “so how did it go?”
“It was a little terrifying,” Miya stated, her face ever so slightly red, “but seonsaengnim made me feel a lot more comfortable about it, so I think it went well.”
“That’s good, I’m glad!” Lena spoke, still sat on the couch scrolling through outfits on Minju’s phone.
“So, when do we get to hear you sing?” Minju inquired with a smirk. You had explained to her what Miya was doing before today’s practice had started, of course making sure Miya was alright with her knowing first. She remained respectful of Miya’s boundaries and not wanting to be heard during her lesson, but was a little eager to hear what she had been working on.
Miya looked at the floor shyly, pressing her lips together, “not yet, I don’t think. I might have another couple of lessons before I’m ready to show anyone.” Minju nodded in understanding.
“Hey, I’m proud of you.” You spoke to Miya, planting your hands on her sides.
“You are?” Miya looked back at you, gently pulling on your hands and interlocking her fingers with yours.
“Yes, it makes me so happy to see you a lot more confident,” You comforted, tilting your head slightly, “so, do you want to see what Minju and I have been working on?” Miya grinned, giving you an enthusiastic nod. Releasing Miya, you turned to face Minju, who was getting up off the couch to go to the speaker and put the music on. Miya took Minju’s spot next to Lena, and you and Minju took your start positions.
——————————————————————————
Sat alone in the practice room, you monitored yours and Minju’s dance cover on the camera, still wearing your cover outfit. You and Minju had filmed the cover in the early afternoon, so it would be ready to post tomorrow. Now it was evening time, and most of your members and staff had already gone home to eat dinner, but you were still waiting for Miya to come out of her afternoon singing lesson. You monitored the footage wearing earphones, so you wouldn’t hear Miya’s lesson.
Suddenly you felt a hand touching your arm; you looked up from the video to see Miya smiling at you. “You busy?” she asked.
Taking your earphones out and setting the camera down on the table, you shook your head, “not at all, how was today’s lesson?”
Miya stepped round and sat next to you on the couch, “really good, actually. I’m definitely getting more confident about the idea of groos hearing me sing.”
“That’s good!” You beamed, twisting your body round to face her and positioning your elbow on the back of the couch, “I’m glad they’re giving you confidence, I always had faith in you.”
“Thanks.” Miya shifted towards you as well, fiddling with her hands as she sheepishly made eye contact with you. Her gaze softened after a moment of silence, as her hand reached up to play with a strand of your hair, “you look really pretty.”
A shy grin appeared on your face, “thanks. The hair was Minju’s idea, Soso did our makeup at lunch.”
“It looks great, did filming go well?” Miya questioned.
“It went fine, took a few takes but we’re happy with it.” You replied, nodding with satisfaction.
Miya gave you a pleased smile, “that’s great, I’ll watch it when you post it.”
You sat up slightly, “anyway, speaking of covers, have you decided what song you’re going to sing yet?”
Miya glanced down at her lap, thinking, “I had a couple of ideas, but I think I know which one I’m leaning towards.”
“What song is that?” You asked.
“Oh, you wouldn’t know it,” Miya stated, “it’s a japanese song, I used to listen to it a lot a few years ago.” She again avoided your eyes.
“Well, if you won’t tell me,” you leaded, leaning forward slightly and resting your head on your palm, “would you show me?”
Miya shot you a look of surprise, “you want to hear it?”
You gave her a warm smile, “yeah, as long as that’s okay. You know I won’t judge you.”
A nervous laugh emitted from your girlfriend, before she took a deep breath, “okay, I can show you.”
“Great!!” You clapped happily, before standing up and grabbing Miya’s hand, “come on, get your mic, do it through the speakers.”
Miya stood up slowly, tensing up a little, “the speakers? Are you sure?”
“Unnie, there’s no one here now, you don’t have to worry about being heard, it’s just me here.” You assured her, taking hold of her other hand and squeezing them comfortingly.
“I guess so.” Miya reluctantly agreed.
You promptly let go, reaching down and picking up the camera, “I’ll film it as well.”
“You’ll what?” Miya stuttered, looking visibly more nervous the more you went on.
“It would be a good idea to hear yourself back, right? Has seonsaengnim done that with you?” You convinced.
Miya fiddled with her hands again, “no, she hasn’t. Would it really be a good idea?”
Clicking through the camera settings, you answered, “yes, it would, if you’re going to post a cover, you’ll have to film yourself sooner or later, why not now?”
“I’m still not sure, I’d be so embarrassed watching myself.” Miya admitted.
“Okay, how about I turn the lights off?” you suggested, “that way you can’t really make out your features, but you can see your performing style, would that make you feel better?” You gave Miya another warm smile, trying to calm her nerves. Her expression melted, and her shoulders relax, visibly admitting defeat.
“Yeah, you’re right. I’ll go get set up.” Miya wandered over to the music deck, picking up her green microphone from the shelf and pulling her track up on the system. You continued to adjust the camera, pulling the table out closer to the centre of the room, and positioning it on top to film Miya.
“I best leave the logo lights on, so we don’t bump into anything.” You spoke, switching the main lights of the room off. The spotlights on your company logo provided enough light so you could see where you were going, but when stood in front of them, most features would be difficult to make out.
“That’s fine.” Miya agreed, a hint of worry in her voice. She was clearly still nervous. You strode over to her, placing a hand gently on her shoulder.
“Miya unnie, I promise you’ll be alright,” you assured. Her gaze turned from the floor to you; even in the dim light, you could see she was nervous. You moved your hand from her shoulder to the side of her face, lightly grazing her cheek with your thumb, “don’t even think about it, just focus on something that makes you happy. If you get embarrassed watching it back you get embarrassed watching it back, but then you will know how to improve so you don’t get embarrassed watching yourself. I believe in you, okay?”
Miya only nodded slowly in reply, her fingers loosely holding on to your wrist. You gave her a short kiss, then walked back over to behind the table. Miya pressed a button on the sound system and wandered to the centre of the practice room in front of the camera, having put the song track on a loop so she could start from the beginning. She looked across at you, her fingers clutching onto the bright green mic. You sent her a smile as you pressed record on the camera. Miya smiled back at you, before her face faded back to sincerity as the song started.
The song she was singing was a chill, R&B song, and from the lyrics you understood, had a deep and emotional meaning. Miya may have been a huge kpop fan, but she had taste in very relaxing and slightly darker music from her home country. As she sang the lyrics, you could make out she was feeling and conveying the emotions of each word through the dim light. She truly had nothing to be nervous about; you could notice an improvement between the singing you’d heard in her practice room to what you were hearing now, so the lessons had done exactly what they were supposed to. You couldn’t help but raise a smile watching her sing; seeing her sincere and almost vulnerable made your heart flutter. She may have been a charismatic girl crush during most of her performances, but this was the real Miya.
She sang the final lyric, and the instrumental came to an end. Her performer state immediately broke as she scurried over to the music deck, putting her mic back and switching the music off before it looped again. You stopped the camera recording, and turned the main lights of the room back on. As you looked over at Miya, you noticed her cheeks were once again flushed.
The two of you met in the centre of the room as Miya sheepishly asked, “did you like that?”
You beamed at her, unable to contain your excitement, “yes, it was amazing! You did so well, unnie, I’m proud of you.”
Miya let out a cute laugh, shy at your compliments, “thank you.”
“Do you feel better now that you’ve sang in front of me?” You inquired.
“I do,” Miya replied truthfully, smoothly holding the middle of your back and decreasing the space between you, “I did what you said, and it worked. Thank you.”
Tracing your fingers up Miya’s upper arms, you smiled at her lovingly, “I’m glad.” Gradually, you both leaned in, your lips softly meeting. Sinking into it more, you extended your arms around her neck as you pulled each other closer; you felt any tension Miya had left easing away.
You swiftly pulled back, raising your eyebrows at her, “shall we go watch the video?” Miya rolled her eyes, groaning.
Letting go of her, you began to drag her by the wrist over to the couch, “come on, you have to watch it!”
The two of you broke into a small fit of laughter as you strode over to the couch, half dragging Miya behind you. You weren’t worried about pushing her too far by making her watch it; if she could see in herself what you saw in her, she would have nothing to worry about.
Plonking yourselves down on the couch, you picked up the camera and pressed play on the video. Miya’s features were very difficult to make out in the dark, but you saw her wincing slightly at the footage out the corner of your eye. You positioned your free hand on top of hers, patting it comfortingly. As the video went on and the song got going more, you felt Miya’s body relax a little next to you. Maybe watching the video is giving her more confidence about her vocals, you thought.
“What do you think, then?” You turned your head to Miya once the video has finished.
Miya took a moment, pondering what she had watched, “it’s better than I thought.”
“There you go!” you exclaimed, lightly nudging Miya on the arm with a grin, “I told you it was a good idea, you’ve come so far.”
“Thanks,” Miya said with an air of uncertainty, “I’m still a little worried about filming a cover, though.”
“How so?” You asked.
Miya’s gaze turned down to her hands, as she picked at her nails, “I usually feel a little awkward watching myself perform like that, I just feel like I come across a little forced. There I wasn’t even thinking about it, so I liked how that came out, but filming something like that the way Seoryoung usually does makes me cringe at myself a little.”
Pressing your lips together, you thought hard for a few moments. You wanted to provide Miya with a better solution than simple encouragement. She was a great performer, but she had her strengths, and she knew that. If she had doubts about showing her genuine self in her performance, her nerves would get in the way of it more. You had an idea.
“Why don’t you post this video?” You suggested, gesturing the camera in Miya’s direction.
“That video?” Miya reiterated, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah, I mean you said yourself you liked it, nothing went wrong. I can tell your sincerity in this video, and if that’s what you want to show to groos, then this is perfect, and if you’re still worried about your performance style, it’s all dark so nobody will be able to pick at things.” You explained your idea to her with a smile of enthusiasm.
Miya paused again, considering her decision before she answered, “yeah, I think I’d be okay with that. I mean, people don’t know it was you I was thinking about, right?”
Your eyes widened at her words, “excuse me?”
A guilty laugh came out of Miya, as she leaned forward slightly, “oh, yeah… when you said think of something that makes you happy… I thought of you.” She pushed her shoulders together, avoiding eye contact with a bashful smile.
“Oh, you’re so sweet!” You pulled Miya into a side hug, wrapping your arms round her shoulders and resting her head into your neck. She squeezed you back, holding on to your waist, as you left a kiss on the top of her head, causing her to let out a shy giggle.
“So you really think I should post that?” she asked again, and you gave her a nod, “okay, I’ll wait a couple of days though, you still need to post your cover.”
You grinned, remembering what you and Minju had prepared and why you were dressed the way you were, “ahh, yeah. Looks like we’ve both been busy.”
“Mhmm,” Miya nodded, before looking up at you, “maybe next time we could do something together?”
“Singing or dancing?”
“Anything,” Miya stated, snuggling into you further, “I just want to cover something with you.”
Tightening your grip on her, you accepted her offer, “yeah, that’d be nice.”
The two of you stayed close like that a little while longer, until you thought it best to get some dinner. Your mind wandered to possibilities of songs for you and Miya to cover together; with her new found confidence for singing, you had plenty of options. Of course you had many chances to cover things with her, but you still wanted whatever you chose to be perfect. The fact she now had a lot more self esteem warmed your heart, and it made you happy that she wanted to share that experience with you. Giving her hand a gentle squeeze, you happily walked off into the night together.

7 am. Wake up, take a shower, have breakfast and rush to the office. That was your daily routine and you were used to it. But no that morning. You were getting ready to go to your interview with the TIME Magazine. They were working on an article that would be called “Women Under 30 Are Leading the Pack in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”
4 years ago, you’d wake up around 9, get ready to go to class and have lunch with your friends, but how does time change, right? Now you were a CEO of your own company with no time for your friends or even yourself. It’s not like you hated it, you liked being a CEO and being recognised by your hard work. It made you proud and wanted to show people that if you really want something and if you work hard for it, you’ll get it.
At the main entrance, you were greeted by the staff and one of them guided you to the room where they interviewed you and took some pictures of you.
That wasn’t your first interview, but you couldn’t feel nervous because you wanted to say the right words to encourage other people.
...
“Lia, I will be back in ten minutes. Can you sort this papers out on my desk?“
“Okay, Boss.”
It was a beautiful sunny day and the office was busy as usual. You were reading the contract at the table trying to get some order into them when the door opened. Nobody just walked into your office without knocking, so of course it had to be…
“Hi mom...” you greeted her.
“Hi sweetheart,” she smirked at you. “How are you?”
“I’m great,” you nodded and placed the papers on the table, “what brings you here, mom?”
“I can’t visit my beautiful daughter?” She put her right hand on her chest.
You giggled. “Of course you can, but I’d love you to call me first.”
You stood and walked towards her, hugging her. “You want some coffee? Water?”
“I’m fine, darling. I just had brunch with a friend,” she smiled and sat in one of the chairs in front of your desk. “Speaking of which, she told me something that got me really upset at you.”
“Why?” You frowned and sat in front of her.
“Why didn’t you tell me you’re getting death threats, (Y/N)?” She looked at you.
You sighed. “Because they don’t matter. You know I don’t pay attention to that. It’s pointless.”
“We’re not talking about hate comments, (Y/N). Someone is threatening you with killing you.”
“Mom, you don’t have to w-“
“Of course I can, and I will. That’s why I contacted an old friend who used to be the Prime Minister’s bodyguard. He’s gonna meet you tomorrow,” she informed you.
“Tomorrow I can’t, I have a meeting.”
“Then you better make some space or you’ll be seeing me here everyday,” your mom smiled. “This is serious. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you. You’re my baby.”
“I can take care of myself, mom. Please, I don’t want a full team of bodyguards,” you sighed.
“You will only have 2 and you won’t even notice they’re there,” she said and placed a hand on yours. “Please.”
You stared at her for a couple of seconds and then sighed, nodding. “Okay, fine. But it’s temporary.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Later that day, after going home you went to the supermarket to get some groceries and went home. You loved cooking, but you weren’t exactly the tidiest when it came to prepare your delicious meals.
After you ate, you checked your email and realised that your mom’s friend had sent you a file with the two people that would be working with you. Somehow you expected an army of people and that annoyed you, but you thought you could with two people. You didn’t even bother to check the profiles since you knew what their work would be.
You closed your laptop and went to your bedroom. Sometimes you thought your life was boring because you barely talked to someone else. Your last relationship didn’t end well and you were still a little bit hesitant to know someone else. Or scared.
And friends? You didn’t have many, but Lena, Taeyong and Jaemin were always there for you. And so were you.
You knew Lena since you were a toddler, your mother was good friends with her parents and you two got along very well. You met Taeyong in high school when you were trying to find the science room and since he was a senior, he helped you. Everyone used to think Taeyong and you dated, but in fact, you never loved Taeyong that way. You saw him as your older brother and he as his younger sister. And last but not least, you met Jaemin through Taeyong.
At first both of you didn’t get along well since he was all an extrovert and didn’t quite understand you were a little introverted, but he with time understood and stopped forcing you. Then you became the crackheads of the group, always laughing and going out and sometimes getting drunk.
You loved college days.
And love? You met Jaehyun during your first year of college, he was in your economics class and you couldn’t help yourself falling for him. He was charming, funny and so handsome.
Jaehyun was your first everything: your first love, your first boyfriend, your first kiss and the first guy that broke your heart.
You two dated for almost 2 years, but ended when he told you he didn’t love you anymore and didn’t want to hurt you and left.
Months after that, you took the opportunity to go as an exchange student to Japan where you met Yuta. You were never a thing, but both of you had feelings for each other but never went official since you would stay there only for 6 months.
You came back to Korea and graduated, and had no time for love since you were too busy starting your business. But Yuta would come on business trips to Korea sometimes and meet you.
But the last time you saw him was a year ago.
The next morning, a tall man showed up to your office holding a black folder. Everything about him was intimidating and you knew he was your mom’s friend.
“Good morning, Miss (Y/L/N). I’m Kim Hyunwoo,” he extended his hand.
“Hi,” you greeted and you shook hands with him. “Yeah, I’ve heard about you. Please sit.”
“Thanks,” he said and sat in one of the black chairs in front of your desk. “I sent you an email yesterday, did you read it?”
“I saw it, but didn’t read it. Sorry,” you apologised.
“It’s okay, that's why I brought this,” he placed the black folder on the desk and tossed it to you. “These are the files of the people that will be working with you.”
“Why is it important to check them out? I mean, they’ll be around me 24/7.”
“Because I want you to know their abilities and their tasks.”
You sighed and grabbed the folder opening it. You saw the first man around his 30’s, no emotions showed in his face. Kang Sungho. According to his file he was specialised in driving and trained in evasive driving techniques, such as executing short-radius turns to change the direction of the vehicle, high-speed cornering, and so on.
You passed the next page and saw a picture of a man with tanned golden skin, brown hair and dark eyes. He looked intimidating. He was trained in pretty much everything, from every type of knife to every type of gun.
Impressive.
Suddenly, the door from your office opened and the air left your lungs momentarily when his eyes met yours, dark and calculating. You expected him to offer you a polite smile as most people do, but his face remained in a stern mask. You somehow prayed he wouldn’t be your bodyguard because the less thing you needed was a distraction.
“Miss (Y/L/N),” the voice of your Hyunwoo forced you to switch your gaze to him and you shoot him a questioning look. “This is Lee Donghyuck” the boy nodded slightly in your direction at the mention of his name, “he’s your new personal bodyguard.”
You couldn't help but let your eyebrows raise comically. The world somehow hated you.
“You would not even know I’m here, Miss,” Donghyuck said.
You nodded.
*
Donghyuck awoke to the steady patter of rain upon his window, droplets yet to scatter the nascent rays of the rising sun. He realised he had awoken up ten minutes before his set alarm, which made him grumble.
He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, took a cold shower and after that, Donghyuck put on a black pants and before putting the white shirt, he put on a bulletproof vest making him look thicker and then continued with a white interior t-shirt, a white shirt, put on his tie adjusting it and lastly, he slipped on the black jacket.
Donghyuck gave himself a quick look in the mirror and sighed. He placed his hands on the countertop and asked how did he end in that position?
Yes, he was an assassin.
No, he didn't kill women.
But the money he was offered to do so was such a big amount that was almost repulsive. And he needed the money.
Donghyuck had never pretended to be someone else before, he just showed up and took down his task and then left. Now he was stuck with some random woman and follow her until she was in love with him and kill her in the worst way.
What was with people these days? He didn't want to know.
Jeno was already awake and had made breakfast, “you gotta eat well today in case you die protecting your boss,“ he joked and sat down in front of him.
Donghyuck and Jeno had known each other for many years and were roommates. There was kindness in his smile, a good man. He knew what ‘Haechan’ did for a living, but decided to ignore it since he rather thought his friend was also a good man.
Donghyuck rolled his eyes. “I cant believe I'm doing this.”
“You can't still say no, you know?” Jeno looked at him.
“I know, but I need the money,” Donghyuck said and had a sip of coffee, “I will retire after this.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I don't wanna do this anymore,” Donghyuck shrugged.
“Well, then get the job done and get those millions,” Jeno said and then shook his head, “that sounded awful. Ignore it.”
Donghyuck laughed. “Are you sure you don't wanna work with me?”
“One hundred percent.”
…
A perfectly collected black-haired woman, dressed in a skirt under her white knee and a pale pink blouse appeared in the room. "Good morning, you must be Lee Donghyuck, right?" She asked kindly.
"Yes," Donghyuck replied, "Hello, you are....?"
"I'm Yun Somin, Kim Hyunwoo personal assistant," she smiled nicely. “You’re the new bodyguard we hired a few days ago.”
"Nice to meet you,” Donghyuck expressed.
“Please, come with me so I can give you your equipment,“ Somin said.
Donghyuck followed her to a room that was an office painted beige and champagne, and it had only one wall-sized window, which faced the buildings. On the dark brown desk sat a desktop computer, a notebook lying open, and a stack of papers sitting under a turtle-shaped paperweight and there was a swivel chair in the middle of the office. A bookshelf, bursting with books was behind the dark brown desk.
Somin opened a desk drawer and pulled out a black box that contained a small stainless steel knife, a Beretta Px4 Storm and finally a earphone for a walkie-talkie.
Donghyuck put the earphone on his ear and the walkie-talkie on the waist band. He put the gun away by placing it on the waist band as well and the knife inside the inner jacket pocket.
“(Y/N) (Y/L/N)’s codename is Sunflower. Whenever you’re public, that’s the name you’ll use,“ Somin informed.
Donghyuck nodded, “Sunflower. Got it.“
Somin opened the door for him and let him in. You were if anything was better looking than Donghyuck expected. Your face told of a leaned body beneath your wintry garb and your expression was serious but not unkind.
You were hot.
Fuck. Donghyuck thought. He was so screwed.
“You would not even know I’m here, Miss,” Donghyuck said.
You nodded and cleared your throat. “Well, let's keep going. We have a long day coming,“You said, walking to the door.
Donghyuck walked behind you and raised his arm above his mouth and spoke into the mic, “Sunflower's going out.“
…
You were the smile, or at least that was what Donghyuck thought of you. Everything about you was a soft and understated joy as you greeted each person at every event. You really cared about the people and their interest and could see in your eyes your uprightness. People loved you and Donghyuck didn't quite understand why someone wanted you dead. Your kindness couldnt be the reason, could it?
“So, Donghyuck, what do you think?”
He turned back to Sungho. “She's different from every shark out there. Yeah, I’ll bet they’re lining up to off her.”
“Well, someone’s been sending some pretty disturbing emails. The NIS can’t pin the guy down.”
“They’ll find them.“ Donghyuck addressed.
The eventful day was over. You all spent the day going to different meetings with several people. You were exhausted but you were happy to see your friend Taeyong, after not seeing him for almost two months.
The black car stopped at a red light and you took the opportunity to take out your phone and reply to some text messages. You realised Donghyuck was looking at you and Donghyuck quickly looked straight ahead. “So, Donghyuck? You have been doing this for so long?”
“Not really, ma’am,“ he responded.
You considered him. He didn’t look like his concept of a bodyguard, big and beefy. He wasn't that tall. Slimy built, with a very attractive face, enigmatic yet intelligent dark eyes and dark hair. “And what did you do before?”
“I… used to train some people at a boxing gym,“ Donghycuk lied.
“Cool,” you smiled. “Maybe you could show me some movements.”
You quickly regretted saying that because of how red your cheeks got. Donghyuck smirked without looking at you.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, Donghyuck got out of the car and opened the door for you and you entered the restaurant with him following you.
"Sunflower's in," He spoke into the mic.
A young woman, with loose hair dressed all in black, took you to the restaurant's private lounge, where Taeyong was already waiting for you.
You hugged your friend and smiled, "The Bahamas suited you."
"Thank you, Woman-Under-30-Leading-the-Pack-in-Entrepreneurship-and-Innovation" Taeyong beamed and looked at Donghyuck, who stood with his back to you right at the glass door, "who is he?"
You looked at Donghyuck and spoke as you sat down, "It's my personal bodyguard."
“Why do you have a personal bodyguard? Did something happen? ” He asked worriedly.
"Don't worry, everything’s fine," you calmed him down and grabbed the menu, opening it.
He sat in front of you and still looked worried, “how do you want me to be calm? Something is going on and you don't want to tell me. "
You smirked a little and shook your head, "really, Taeyong, everything is under control. There’s nothing to be concerned about.“
Taeyong sighed and nodded, "Okay, I will believe in your words."
You smiled satisfied and began to read the menu. Taeyong did the same. Jaemin stood in front of the door of the restaurant's private lounge but Donghyuck prevented him from entering.
"Identify," Donghyuck demanded, looking at him.
"Na Jaemin, owner and chef of this restaurant," he replied, frowning, "who are you?"
Before Donghyuck responded, you opened the door and looked at Jaemin, “I'm sorry, he's my new bodyguard. Lee Donghyuck, all right, he will have dinner with us too. "
Donghyuck nodded, “understood. Enjoy your meal, guys. "
“Thank you,“ Taeyong responded as Donghyuck closed the door.
“I can't believe the two most influential people of Korea are here in my restaurant,“ Jaemin joked as he sat.
You chuckled, “let’s see if it’s as good as people say.“
…
Softly splashing water droplets hit the car windows as Sungho drove onwards. You watched the raindrops race down to the windows. You had been with Taeyong and Jaemin for almost three hours, and now you were on your way to your house.
"Sorry for staying there for a long time, you haven't even eaten," you apologised.
“It’s fine, ma’am. It's our job,“ Donghyuck replied.
“You can call me (Y/N). We’re almost the same age,“ You said
“Even so, you’re my boss. It’s not right,“ he responded.
You chuckled and looked at him in the rearview mirror, "Well, then as your boss, I order it to you."
Donghyuck smiled and you noticed it, “I'll try it.“

Here’s the song!
You stare down at your phone, too distracted by your most recent text from Taehyung to focus on the rest of the lecture. Thursday is the day after tomorrow, and you have absolutely no idea what you need to be doing to get ready for it.
“Don’t forget, next week is the due date for your midterm papers, everyone,” Professor Kang announces, organising his notes. “Tomorrow will be your last chance to grovel for an extension.”
The laughter in the theatre brings you back to reality, coming to just as Professor Kang dismisses the class.
“What’d he say?” you ask Jinah next to you, packing up your stuff.
“He just reminded us that our paper’s due next week. Weren’t you listening?” Jinah replies, eyebrows furrowed.
“Nope.”
“Typical.” She scoffs, shaking her head. “It’s a wonder how you’re one of the best students when you hardly ever pay attention. Meanwhile, I’m here, going to every damn lecture, and still struggling to pass everything. I’m stealing your notes later.”
“Sure, whatever.”
“You going to work now?”
“Yeah,” you reply, sighing. “Eunseok better not be there again, or I swear to God, I’m quitting.”
“I’ll be praying for you,” Jinah says, laughing. “Alright. I gotta go. See you at home.”
〰️
“Your change comes to 10,000 Won,” you say, handing money back to the customer. “Who was ne–”
Taehyung smiles at you as he steps up to the counter, hands tucked comfortably into the pockets of his slacks.
“Hello…” He leans forward slightly, making a show of looking down at your name badge. “_____.” You press your lips together, holding back laughter.
“Hi,” you say. “What can I get for you?”
“Mmm, I’ll have a mocha frappuccino, with extra whipped cream.” Taehyung looks over his shoulder at the man standing behind him, looking off to the side, earpiece curling around the shell of his right ear. “You want anything, Jeongguk?”
“Oh. Uh. Sure,” Jeongguk says. “I’ll have an Americano, iced, with an extra shot, thank you, _____.”
“A mocha frappuccino and an Americano,” you repeat. “Would you like anything else today… sir?”
You feel smug, watching Taehyung’s eyebrow twitch, almost laughing at the expression on Jeongguk’s face as he overhears.
“That’ll be all, thank you,” Taehyung replies, reaching into his jacket pocket to pull out a thin leather wallet. He looks down at the display in front of the register, pulling out a single, crisp fifty-thousand Won note. “Keep the change, angel.”
He sends you a wink before he walks over to a table with Jeongguk following right behind, eyes undoubtedly turning his way as people stare, wondering why the sole heir of Bangtan Enterprises is getting his coffee at a cafe that is no where near Gangnam.
Lazy steps signal Yoongi stepping out of the back room to join you at the counter, default straight face slowly turning into slight annoyance.
“What’s happening?” he asks.
“Kim Taehyung is here, boss man,” Hoseok says, singsongy.
“What? Why?”
“Who knows? Who cares? He’s at our cafe.”
“What’d he order?”
“Uhh…” Hoseok looks over your shoulder, slinging a tea towel over his shoulder. “A mocha frappuccino with extra whipped cream, and an iced Americano with an extra shot of coffee. Three guesses which drink is for who?”
“Whichever one of you is making his drinks, make sure it’s good. We don’t need to be roasted and dragged through the mud during his next press conference,” Yoongi says, already shuffling back to return to the back office.
“Hey, Yoongi?” you ask; he hums in response. “He paid with a fifty-thousand Won bill and told me to keep the change. Just so you know.”
“Wh– that’s like forty-thousand Won,” Hoseok says, gawking at the money in your hand.
“He’s not gonna take it back, I don’t think.”
“Um.” Yoongi looks down at the money, scratching his head as he is, for once, taken aback. “What… are we supposed to try and give it back?”
“I mean,” you say. “We can try, but I don’t think he’ll take it.”
“Yeah, and besides: what’s forty-thousand Won to one of the richest guys in the country?” Hoseok says, grinning.
“Just–” Yoongi sighs, glancing down once more at the money, then back up to you and Hoseok. “Make his drinks. Don’t keep him waiting.”
You shrug, saying, “you’re the boss.”
“And bring them out to him, _____.”
“Wh–”
“What, you’re gonna make the Kim Taehyung collect his drinks? Like… like some sort of pleb?” Hoseok says, eyes wide. “You’re insane. I told you college was rotting your brain, girl.”
You snort and walk to the other end of the counter, getting to work on making Taehyung’s drinks.
You’re in the middle of extracting shots of coffee when the door to the cafe opens, and a loud group of people walk in, with very little care for the rest of the patrons around.
Of course one of them has to be Eunseok.
Hoseok busily takes the group’s orders while you finish up on Taehyung’s drinks, dreading the moment you have to take them to his table when you notice Eunseok and the rest of his friends sit themselves down on tables between the counter and Taehyung, leaving you with no choice but to walk past them.
“All done?” Hoseok asks, coming over to you to get to work on the next batch of orders.
“Yeah,” you say. “Hey, Seok. How would you like to be the one to deliver Kim Taehyung’s drinks to him personally?”
“Nope,” Yoongi interrupts; you and Hoseok flinch.
“What th– I thought you went to the back!”
“I figured I should probably stay here and make sure you guys don’t mess up a billionaire’s coffee. Anyway. You take the drinks out, _____.”
“Why me?”
“You’re the prettiest face in this cafe right now. We need to make a good impression.”
“Uh, one: I’m offended, but two: I agree,” Hoseok says. “Knowing me, I’m gonna choke and trip on air. It’s probably for the best that you do it.”
You sigh quietly, but reach for a tray to carry the drinks over on.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Yoongi says, hand on your arm to stop you. You watch, confused when he walks over to the cake display case, taking a slice of the strawberry shortcake and the chocolate cake, placing it down onto the tray too.
“Uh, I don’t think he’ll–” you start.
“_____. He could drive this cafe to the ground with one bad word. Our jobs depend on this.”
“Alright, alright. I’ll go. Jeez.”
You snort and shake your head, laughing as you walk away from the counter. The laughter dies down, however, when you remember what – or rather, who – you’ll need to pass to get to Taehyung, and you steel yourself, avoiding eye contact.
Despite your best efforts, you don’t make it through without a hiccup.
Fortunately for you, you catch the way Eunseok sticks his foot out in an attempt to trip you with a full tray. You still trip, but by some grace of God, you manage to not spill anything. You don’t realise you’d been holding in a breath until you’re standing upright again, feeling your heart pounding as Eunseok and his friends laugh loudly.
As usual, Taehyung doesn’t miss a thing.
“Jeez. Watch where you’re going, you klutz,” Eunseok cries as you continue to walk over to Taehyung’s table. “You could’ve spilled drinks all over Kim Taehyung.” His laughter stops immediately as he realises what he’d just said. “K-Kim Taehyung?”
“You alright?” Taehyung asks quietly, eyebrows furrowed as you set down his and Jeongguk’s drinks.
“Hmm? Yeah, no I’m good. It’s just Eunseok,” you reply, shrugging and feigning nonchalance.
“Just Eunseok,” Jeongguk replies. “That sounds sus. Want me to beat him up?”
“No, Jeongguk. It’s fine.” You chuckle softly. “Don’t ruin your suit. I actually really like this one.”
“See? I was right. All black is the way to go, sir. Even _____ agrees.”
Taehyung doesn’t seem to let go of what happened, and you notice this, quick to step and block his view as he tries to glance over at Eunseok’s table.
“Don’t,” you say. “You’re gonna do something crazy. I can see it in your eyes. Just leave it. He’s just an idiot who’s been tackled in rugby too many times. He’s got three braincells left – tops.” Jeongguk snorts, almost choking on a sip of coffee. “Just enjoy your coffee and free cake.”
“Dibs on the chocolate one,” Jeongguk says, already pulling the plate closer to himself.
Taehyung is quiet, before exhaling through his nose with restrained frustration and looking up at you.
“Alright,” he says. “If you say so. Thank you, petal.”
“Call out if you need anything else.”
〰️
“Who the fuck is that?” Yoongi asks quietly, clearly having seen everything, judging by the scowl on his face.
“Just some idiot that’s been trying to make my life a living hell since freshman year. No biggie,” you say, shrugging and putting the tray down on the counter.
“‘No bigg–’? _____, he just tried to trip you!”
“Yeah, so?”
“So?” Hoseok cries, slamming down a plastic cup on the bench. “_____.”
“Guys. Just leave him. There are bigger problems in the world than an idiot with a 2.1 GPA.”
Yoongi sighs.
“Fine. How was Mr. Kim?” he asks.
“He was alright. He didn’t bite my head off, if that’s what you were expecting. I didn’t melt into a puddle in the awesome of his presence either.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t,” Hoseok says with a nod, impressed.
“He’s a human being, Seok. Not an alien,” you reply, laughing.
“Eh. Could’ve fooled me.”
〰️
“Hi. Excuse me.”
Eunseok turns with a confused sound, scowl etched on his features, until he realises the person who has called for his attention is Taehyung. He starts to cough, coffee trickling down his throat the wrong way.
“H-hi. Hello. Yes. Kim Taehyung, sir,” he says, clearing his throat. The girl beside him nudges his side as a violent reminder, and Eunseok stands, bowing his head.
“What’s your name?” Taehyung asks, taking a loud sip of his drink.
“L-Lee Eunseok!”
“Eunseok, huh? Are you a student at the university near here too?”
“Yes, sir, I am.”
“What’s your major?”
“Ah, I’m… kind of between majors right now. Just tryin’ to find the right one for me, ya know?” (Jeongguk snorts, turning to look out the window to not make his distaste obvious.) “But I’m the soccer of the captain team! I-I mean… captain of the soccer team.”
“I-I’m on the soccer team too, sir!” one of Eunseok’s friends pitches in, leaning forward for Taehyung to see.
“I see,” Taehyung says, rolling his cup around in his hand. “And the girl who served me my coffee?”
“Who, _____?” Eunseok scoffs. “She’s just some nerd who spends all her time getting on lecturers’ ‘good sides’ and volunteers at some stupid animal shelter. Hardly worth your time or attention, sir.”
“Is that right?”
“She’s, like, top of the class or somethin’,” one of the girls at the table says, rolling her eyes. “And she’s on scholarship or whatever. What a snooze.”
“I take it you guys aren’t fans of hers,” Taehyung says, eyebrow arched.
“Well, yeah. She ratted out Eunseok oppa for cheating on his mid term paper and final exam in sophomore year. But, like… he only cheated because if he didn’t pass his classes, he wasn’t gonna be let onto the team anymore. He barely made it on that year.”
Taehyung sees Jeongguk press his fist to his lips, disguising more laughter as a restrained cough. Taehyung agrees wholeheartedly with his bodyguard, but remains calm.
“Hey, uh, Mister Kim Taehyung, sir,” Eunseok says. “What brings you out here anyway?”
“Hmm? Oh. Just… passing through. I don’t get to visit this side of Seoul very often, and I had some time to kill,” Taehyung replies with a small shrug. “Anyway. We should get going, I think. I should get back to work.”
“No, yeah, of course! Right!” Taehyung thinks Eunseok’s head could fall off with how much he’s nodding. “I-It was really nice to meet you, sir.”
Jeongguk is the first to stand, adjusting his suit jacket before stepping aside to let Taehyung walk ahead of him.
Taehyung gives the table a nod and a smile, before approaching to counter.
Hoseok, manning the counter, freezes, eyes wide.
“Hello. Hoseok, was it? I’d like to ask, if I can: were you the one who made our coffee today?” Taehyung asks.
“Uh… it was mostly _____, but I’ll take some credit if you’d like,” Hoseok replies, laughing.
“Seok, don’t forget to refill the paper cups as w–” Yoongi stops, mid sentence, noticing Taehyung at the counter.
“Hi there. You are…?” Taehyung says, head tilting slightly.
“U-um… Min Yoongi. I’m the manager here. Sir.”
“Ah, the manager! Well then, thank you for the hospitality. I’m sure I speak on my and Jeongguk’s behalf when I say that the coffee was great. I’ll be sure to recommend this cafe to my friends if they ever happen to pass by this part of town.”
“Oh my g– wow. Thank you, sir. I appreciate that.”
“Of course. Is… _____ still here? Hoseok here mentioned that she was the one who made our coffees. I’d like to extend my compliments if I could,” Taehyung says, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the counter.
“Yes, no, of course! Give me a second.” Taehyung watches as Yoongi pokes his head into the back room, yelling out your name. “Hi. Yeah. She’s just here.”
“What?” you ask, clipboard in hand, stepping out to approach the counter and resting against it. “Oh, hey. Were you after something else?”
“No, we’re on our way out, and Jeongguk and I just want to say thank you for the coffee. It was lovely, _____.”
“Oh, no problem. Stop by anytime you’d like. We’ll be here.”
“Agreed,” Hoseok says, nodding.
“Noted.”
Taehyung straightens up, hands still flat on the counter, and you look down to watch his fingers tap against the laminated wood. When you glance up, he has a pensive look on his face, but he doesn’t give you a second to question it before he’s leaning forward, gingerly cradling your chin on his finger and thumb as he kisses you.
You hear gasps, camera shutters going off on phones, people coughing as they choke on sips of coffee and bites of cake, and Hoseok dropping plastic cups behind you.
When he pulls away, he’s smiling, and you roll your eyes and laugh.
“What happened to ‘lowkey’, huh?” you ask, arching a brow.
Taehyung shrugs as he leans back, sliding his hands into the pockets of his slacks, saying, “changed my mind.” You lock eyes with Jeongguk over Taehyung’s shoulder; he laughs quietly, shaking his head. “Also. You didn’t reply to my text.”
“Wh– I was in a lecture!”
“Ugh. Studying.”
“I’m sorry. Who was the one who cancelled a dinner date because I, quote, ‘needed to finish the term paper, even if it’s not contributing to your final grade’?”
“Oof. She got you there,” Jeongguk says.
“You’re not helping,” Taehyung says, sighing. “Are you okay for Thursday though?”
“Hmm.” You turn around to look at Yoongi, whose eyes resemble marbles. “Am I rostered on for Thursday, Yoongs? Yoongs? Yoongi.”
“Huh? What? What’s up?”
“Am I working on Thursday?” you ask.
“You… uh… um… I… n-no?”
You turn back to Taehyung, shrugging and saying, “guess I’m free for Thursday.”
“Perfect,” Taehyung replies with a grin. “Should I come back and pick you up after your shift today? I’m free after seven.”
“Nah. I’m alright. I have to study tonight.”
“Right. Of course. Well, we should let you guys get back to work then. Call me when you get home so I know your alive, angel.”
“Will do. Have fun with work,” you say. “Bye, Jeongguk!”
“See you later, _____,” Jeongguk says, smiling as he waves.
“Thank you again, Yoongi, Hoseok,” Taehyung says, nodding his head with a smile. “I’m sure I’ll see you guys again soon. Let’s go, Guk.”
“After you.”
Jeongguk steps aside again to let Taehyung walk first, and Taehyung turns on his heels to start walking, only to stop mid-stride. You watch him turn to face the rest of the tables in the cafe with a smile.
“Eunseok.” Your eyes grow wide. Fuck. “Hope everything goes well with your studying, champ. Try not to cheat in the future though. That’s not very cool. Enjoy the rest of your evening, everyone!”
Jeongguk doesn’t even try to hold back his laughter as he holds the door open for Taehyung.

[TASK 069: KOREA]
Shout out to anon for inspiring this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 1,040+ Korean faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!
THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!
STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.
