Servamp will be releasing a new guidebook on the 27th of January! To celebrate this, the official Servamp twitter account posted a form that's open until the 14th of October which includes questions about your favorite scenes, the character technique you like the most, the quote that left the deepest impact on you, along with a final popularity poll! Participants were rewarded with a special wallpaper, which you can find below, courtesy of a friend who helped me fill out the survey (as well as pass my sentiments on to Strike)

The survey is entirely in Japanese, so if you're confident in your language skills or, like me, have a friend who is willing to bear with you sobbing in their dms how much you love Servamp, feel free to fill it out! For now, here's the wallpaper (please do not repost it outside of my blog, since I'm already breaking some rules just by sharing it as is)

Gear is going to invite himself to all of the Dark Night Trio's family gatherings from now on.

How much more chaotic can they get if you add Tsurugi's angry wolf grandpa to the mix. Bonus chaos points if Touma ever comes back and is forced to be there too.

Ichinose is a C3-affiliated school designed to provide a safe environment for mage children to study, but it's doubtful that the entire student body are mages. Since it's funded by Aliceins then there must be plenty of your average everyday ordinary rich kids.

While Touma clearly had great grades while he was in school, I doubt Tsurugi's were spectacular like his, especially when he would be far more focused on making money by hunting vampires so he's definitely not a scholarship student.

Those rich kids would be so confused how people like Touma and Tsurugi are eligible to study there but they're also well aware of Aliceins' inclinations to help orphans and simply assume of them as a charity case

But that also means mage kids who aren't well-off probably receive automatic exemption for their school fee because, well, if they don't go to school they might wander on their own and get kidnapped by subclasses in need of a bloodbag

This was originally going to be a post about how theres probably a college affiliated with C3 too but I got distracted lol

Tsurugi is talking with touma over the phone here and we only hear tsurugi's side of the conversation. I know yoshimasa was the closest thing touma had to a good father figure so I can see him trying to be nice to his kids, but the image of touma picking up shuhei and his little sister from school is still funny.

Touma, when both he and Tsurugi were younger and before Tsurugi constantly fucked off to resturaunts with his coworkers, probably cooked a lot of Tsurugi's meals if they weren't getting takeout. Knowing Touma he probably used the food as leverage when Rugi wasn't yet making money or was money-obsessed.

Can you imagine how pissed he would be when Mahiru bullhorns his way into Tsurugi's (and his) life and starts doing what he does best, showing affection through cooking?

Not that Touma's gonna say no to being able to mooch off of the kid by eating his food for free, he's not upset by that at all. It's just...

"Woah!! Mahiru-kun, this is suuuper good! Better than Touma's!!"

He wants to wipe that dumb smile off of his hellspawn's face so goddamn bad.

He also can't use any food as leverage anymore because no matter how many times he deletes that brat's number off of Tsurugi's phone, he finds his way to that dog anyways, bento or plastic container in-hand chalked full of what he knows he likes.

Tsurugi is getting healthier and happier, eating the love mixed into Mahiru's cooking like it was ambrosia, and Touma's grip on him is slipping into something unlike what it was before. The leash is still there, in his hand, but its longer now– takes much more effort to pull him back.

And his son stands by Tsurugi, scissors in hand. Looking dead into his eyes.

Grooming dogs seems to be in the genes.

Alright I have some praise for the official localization this is really rather nice for once

So the inside art for volume 19 was this spread of everyone being cute and hanging out on beanbags

(Side note: it’s killing me that the alicein bros are the only ones with visible socks. You’re not seeing their bare feet for free you horny sluts. Go to Tsubaki for that)

Anyway on the English localized volume, Touma and Tsurugi’s shirts have actually been edited just a teensy bit to allow those who don’t read Japanese to understand the writing on their shirts, like so

If it’s too difficult to read, Touma’s shirt has been edited to say “villain” underneath the kanji, and Tsurugi’s says “Hunting Dog”

… Man, sensei really put Tsurugi on the bean bag that says “Nine” I’m gonna cry that’s so mean, and then Touma on 4, the number of death, that’s being orbited by 3, 7, and 9. Making me nervous ;w; seriously, I’m gonna cry!! These character placements are too good…

Also while these things might be unintentional I also think they’re darling little jokes so I’ll mention them.

Mikuni, 3, and Tsurugi, 9, sounds like “Sankyu” or “Thank you,” meanwhile Tsurugi and Nicco together would be “Ku-ro,” which is self explanatory. I dunno. I thought these things were cute, and I feel like we could use some cuteness right now xD
